Abstract:In recent years, endoscopic imaging has become the major diagnostic approach for early cancer. It is difficult to accurately obtain the information of lesions and components content by using conventional white light imaging (C-WLI). Multispectral imaging techniques such as narrowband imaging are widely used in endoscopic clinical because of their specificity on the surface structure of digestive tract mucosa. However, there is still a lack of multispectral techniques for tissue components specificity. Tissue components such as lipid, hemoglobin are closely related to the generation and development of tumors, but it is difficult to observe the characteristics of lipid and hemoglobin by conventional white light imaging. Therefore, we studied the multispectral endoscopic imaging technique for the analysis of digestive tract mucosal components. Based on the reflectance spectrum characteristics of these tissue components, we determined their specific wavelength, and comprehensively considered the absorption, scattering, oxygenation and others in order to determine the most appropriate optical band in the wavelength range of 365-660nm. Through experimental verification, we choose different narrow-band wavelength combinations for lipids and hemoglobin oxygen saturation respectively to achieve multispectral imaging. In order to simulate the optical properties of digestive tract surface, we made tissue optical phantom. At the same time, we tested and optimized the imaging system and algorithm by the experiments in vitro, and obtained the optimal multispectral image of tissue components, then realize the quantitative detection combined with the content analysis algorithm. Our pilots show that the multispectral imaging system can improve the contrast of endoscopy image, enhance the detail information, achieve high precision detection of tissue components content, and control the error within 10%.

Abstract:To realize the automatic diagnosis of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) cases by preacetic acid test and postacetic acid test colposcopy images, this paper proposes a method of cervical precancerous lesion diagnosis based on multimodal feature changes. First, the preacetic acid test and postacetic acid test colposcopy images were registered based on cross-correlation and projection transformation, and then the cervical region was extracted by the k-means clustering algorithm. Finally, a deep learning network was used to extract features and classify the preacetic acid test and postacetic acid test cervical images after registration. Finally, the proposed method achieves a classification accuracy of 86.3%, a sensitivity of 84.1%, and a specificity of 89.8% in 60 test cases. Experimental results show that this method can make better use of the multimodal features of colposcopy images and has lower requirements for medical staff in the process of data acquisition. It has certain clinical significance in cervical cancer precancerous lesion screening systems.
A Hessian-Based Technique for Specular Reflection Detection and Inpainting in Colonoscopy Images

Abstract:In the field of Computer-Aided Detection (CADx), the use of AI-based algorithms for disease detection in endoscopy images, especially colonoscopy images, is on the rise. However, these algorithms often encounter performance issues due to obstructions like specular reflection, resulting in false positives. This paper presents a novel algorithm specifically designed to tackle the challenges posed by high specular reflection regions in colonoscopy images. The proposed algorithm identifies these regions and applies precise inpainting for restoration. The process entails converting the input image from RGB to HSV color space and focusing on the Saturation (S) component in convex regions detected using a Hessian-based method. This step creates a binary mask that pinpoints areas of specular reflection. The inpainting function then uses this mask to guide the restoration of these identified regions and their borders. To ensure a seamless blend of the restored regions with the background and adjacent pixels, a feathering process is applied to the repaired regions. This enhances both the accuracy and aesthetic coherence of the inpainted images. The performance of our algorithm was rigorously tested on five unique colonoscopy datasets and various endoscopy images from the Kvasir dataset, using an extensive set of evaluation metrics and a comparative analysis with existing methods consistently highlighted the superior performance of our algorithm.

Abstract:Colonoscopy video frames might be contaminated by bright spots with unsaturated values known as specular reflection. Detection and removal of such reflections could enhance the quality of colonoscopy images and facilitate diagnosis procedure. In this paper we propose a novel two-phase method for this purpose, consisting of detection and removal phases. In the detection phase, we employ both HSV and RGB color space information for segmentation of specular reflections. We first train a non-linear SVM for selecting a color space based on image statistical features extracted from each channel of the color spaces. Then, a cost function for detection of specular reflections is introduced. In the removal phase, we propose a two-step inpainting method which consists of appropriate replacement patch selection and removal of the blockiness effects. The proposed method is evaluated by testing on an available colonoscopy image database where accuracy and Dice score of 99.68% and 71.79% are achieved respectively.

Physics Based Contrast Marking and Inpainting Based Local Texture Comparison for Clustered Microcalcification Detection

Abstract:As important early signs of breast cancers, microcalcifications (MCs) are still very difficult to be reliably detected by either radiologists or computer-aided diagnosis systems. In general, global, regional, and local properties of the mammogram should all be considered in the analysis process. In our effort, we incorporate the physical nature of the imaging process with the image analysis techniques to detect the clustered microcalcifications based on local contrast marking and self-repaired texture comparison. Suspicious areas are first obtained from a simplified X-ray imaging model where the MC contrast is a nonlinear function of local intensity. Following a removal and repair (R&R) procedure of the suspicious areas from their surrounding background textures, pre- and post- R&R local characteristic features of these areas are extracted and compared. A modified AdaBoost algorithm is then used to train the classifier for detecting individual microcalcification, followed by a clustering process to obtain the clustered MCs. Experiments on the MIAS database have shown promising results.

Abstract:Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor that seriously threatens women's health, and is one of the most common that affects women worldwide. For its early detection, colposcopic images of the cervix are used for searching for possible injuries or abnormalities. An inherent characteristic of these images is the presence of specular reflections (brightness) that make it difficult to observe some regions, which might imply misdiagnosis. In this paper, a new strategy based on neural networks is introduced for eliminating specular reflections and estimating the unobserved anatomical cervix portion under the bright zones. For overcoming the fact that the ground truth corresponding to the specular reflection regions is always unknown, the new strategy proposes the supervised training of a neural network to learn how to restore any hidden regions of colposcopic images. Once the specular reflections are identified, they are removed from the image, and the previously trained network is used to fulfill these deleted areas. The quality of the processed images was evaluated quantitatively and qualitatively. In 21 of the 22 evaluated images, the detected specular reflections were eliminated, whereas, in the remaining one, these reflections were almost completely eliminated. The distribution of the colors and the content of the restored images are similar to those of the originals. The evaluation carried out by a specialist in Cervix Pathology concluded that, after eliminating the specular reflections, the anatomical and physiological elements of the cervix are observable in the restored images, which facilitates the medical diagnosis of cervical pathologies. Our method has the potential to improve the early detection of cervical cancer.
Specular Reflections Detection and Removal for Endoscopic Images Based on Brightness Classification

Abstract:Specular Reflections often exist in the endoscopic image, which not only hurts many computer vision algorithms but also seriously interferes with the observation and judgment of the surgeon. The information behind the recovery specular reflection areas is a necessary pre-processing step in medical image analysis and application. The existing highlight detection method is usually only suitable for medium-brightness images. The existing highlight removal method is only applicable to images without large specular regions, when dealing with high-resolution medical images with complex texture information, not only does it have a poor recovery effect, but the algorithm operation efficiency is also low. To overcome these limitations, this paper proposes a specular reflection detection and removal method for endoscopic images based on brightness classification. It can effectively detect the specular regions in endoscopic images of different brightness and can improve the operating efficiency of the algorithm while restoring the texture structure information of the high-resolution image. In addition to achieving image brightness classification and enhancing the brightness component of low-brightness images, this method also includes two new steps: In the highlight detection phase, the adaptive threshold function that changes with the brightness of the image is used to detect absolute highlights. During the highlight recovery phase, the priority function of the exemplar-based image inpainting algorithm was modified to ensure reasonable and correct repairs. At the same time, local priority computing and adaptive local search strategies were used to improve algorithm efficiency and reduce error matching. The experimental results show that compared with the other state-of-the-art, our method shows better performance in terms of qualitative and quantitative evaluations, and the algorithm efficiency is greatly improved when processing high-resolution endoscopy images.

Abstract:Colposcopy is a crucial imaging technique for finding cervical abnormalities. Colposcopic image evaluation, particularly the accurate delineation of the cervix region, has considerable medical significance.Before segmenting the cervical region, specular reflection removal is an efficient one. Because, cervical cancer can be found using a visual check with acetic acid, which turns precancerous and cancerous areas whiteand these could be viewed as signs of abnormalities. Similarly, bright white regions known as specular reflections obstruct the identification of aceto-whiteareas and should therefore be removed. So, in this paper, specular reflection removal with segmentingthe cervix region ina colposcopy image is proposed. The proposed approach consists of two main stages, namely, pre-processing and segmentation. In the pre-processing stage, specular reflections are detected and removed using a swin transformer. After that, cervical regions are segmented using an enhanced Gaussian mixture model (EGMM). For better segmentation accuracy, the best parameters of GMM are chosen via the adaptive Mexican Axolotl Optimization (AMAO) algorithm. The performance of the proposed approach is analyzed based on accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, Jaccard index, and dice coefficient, and the efficiency of the suggested strategy is compared with various methods.

Abstract:PURPOSE:Retinal imaging is an important and effective tool for detecting retinal diseases. However, degraded images caused by the aberrations of the eye can disguise lesions, so that a diseased eye can be mistakenly diagnosed as normal. In this work, we propose a new image enhancement method to improve the quality of degraded images.METHODS:A new method is used to enhance degraded-quality fundus images. In this method, the image is converted from the input RGB colour space to LAB colour space and then each normalized component is enhanced using contrast-limited adaptive histogram equalization. Human visual system (HVS)-based fundus image quality assessment, combined with diagnosis by experts, is used to evaluate the enhancement.RESULTS:The study included 191 degraded-quality fundus photographs of 143 subjects with optic media opacity. Objective quality assessment of image enhancement (range: 0-1) indicated that our method improved colour retinal image quality from an average of 0.0773 (variance 0.0801) to an average of 0.3973 (variance 0.0756). Following enhancement, area under curves (AUC) were 0.996 for the glaucoma classifier, 0.989 for the diabetic retinopathy (DR) classifier, 0.975 for the age-related macular degeneration (AMD) classifier and 0.979 for the other retinal diseases classifier.CONCLUSION:The relatively simple method for enhancing degraded-quality fundus images achieves superior image enhancement, as demonstrated in a qualitative HVS-based image quality assessment. This retinal image enhancement may, therefore, be employed to assist ophthalmologists in more efficient screening of retinal diseases and the development of computer-aided diagnosis.

Abstract:Endoscopic imaging systems have been widely used in disease diagnosis and minimally invasive surgery. Practically, specular reflection (a.k.a. highlight) always exists in endoscopic images and significantly affects surgeons’ observation and judgment. Motivated by the fact that the values of the red channel in nonhighlight area of endoscopic images are higher than those of the green and blue ones, this paper proposes an adaptive specular highlight detection method for endoscopic images. Specifically, for each pixel, we design a criterion for specular highlight detection based on the ratio of the red channel to both the green and blue channels. With the designed criteria, we take advantage of image segmentation and then develop an adaptive threshold with respect to the differences between the red channel and the other ones of neighboring pixels. To validate the proposed method, we conduct experiments on clinical data and CVC-ClinicSpec open database. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method yields an averaged Precision , Accuracy , and F 1 -score rate of 88.76%, 99.60% and 72.56%, respectively, and outperforms the state-of-the-art approaches based on color distribution reported for endoscopic highlight detection.

Improving the Segmentation Accuracy of Ovarian-Tumor Ultrasound Images Using Image Inpainting

Abstract:Diagnostic results can be radically influenced by the quality of 2D ovarian-tumor ultrasound images. However, clinically processed 2D ovarian-tumor ultrasound images contain many artificially recognized symbols, such as fingers, crosses, dashed lines, and letters which assist artificial intelligence (AI) in image recognition. These symbols are widely distributed within the lesion’s boundary, which can also affect the useful feature-extraction-utilizing networks and thus decrease the accuracy of lesion classification and segmentation. Image inpainting techniques are used for noise and object elimination from images. To solve this problem, we observed the MMOTU dataset and built a 2D ovarian-tumor ultrasound image inpainting dataset by finely annotating the various symbols in the images. A novel framework called mask-guided generative adversarial network (MGGAN) is presented in this paper for 2D ovarian-tumor ultrasound images to remove various symbols from the images. The MGGAN performs to a high standard in corrupted regions by using an attention mechanism in the generator to pay more attention to valid information and ignore symbol information, making lesion boundaries more realistic. Moreover, fast Fourier convolutions (FFCs) and residual networks are used to increase the global field of perception; thus, our model can be applied to high-resolution ultrasound images. The greatest benefit of this algorithm is that it achieves pixel-level inpainting of distorted regions without clean images. Compared with other models, our model achieveed better results with only one stage in terms of objective and subjective evaluations. Our model obtained the best results for 256 × 256 and 512 × 512 resolutions. At a resolution of 256 × 256, our model achieved 0.9246 for SSIM, 22.66 for FID, and 0.07806 for LPIPS. At a resolution of 512 × 512, our model achieved 0.9208 for SSIM, 25.52 for FID, and 0.08300 for LPIPS. Our method can considerably improve the accuracy of computerized ovarian tumor diagnosis. The segmentation accuracy was improved from 71.51% to 76.06% for the Unet model and from 61.13% to 66.65% for the PSPnet model in clean images.
The Application of Deep Learning Based Diagnostic System to Cervical Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions Recognition in Colposcopy Images.

Abstract:Background Deep learning has presented considerable potential and is gaining more importance in computer assisted diagnosis. As the gold standard for pathologically diagnosing cervical intraepithelial lesions and invasive cervical cancer, colposcopy-guided biopsy faces challenges in improving accuracy and efficiency worldwide, especially in developing countries. To ease the heavy burden of cervical cancer screening, it is urgent to establish a scientific, accurate and efficient method for assisting diagnosis and biopsy. Methods The data were collected to establish three deep-learning-based models. For every case, one saline image, one acetic image, one iodine image and the corresponding clinical information, including age, the results of human papillomavirus testing and cytology, type of transformation zone, and pathologic diagnosis, were collected. The dataset was proportionally divided into three subsets including the training set, the test set and the validation set, at a ratio of 8:1:1. The validation set was used to evaluate model performance. After model establishment, an independent dataset of high-definition images was collected to further evaluate the model performance. In addition, the comparison of diagnostic accuracy between colposcopists and models weas performed. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the classification model to differentiate negative cases from positive cases were 85.38%, 82.62% and 84.10% respectively, with an AUC of 0.93. The recall and DICE of the segmentation model to segment suspicious lesions in acetic images were 84.73% and 61.64%, with an average accuracy of 95.59%. Furthermore, 84.67% of high-grade lesions were detected by the acetic detection model. Compared to colposcopists, the diagnostic system performed better in ordinary colposcopy images but slightly unsatisfactory in high-definition images. Implications The deep learning-based diagnostic system could help assist colposcopy diagnosis and biopsy for HSILs.
Development and validation of an artificial intelligence system for grading colposcopic impressions and guiding biopsies

Abstract:Abstract Background Colposcopy diagnosis and directed biopsy are the key components in cervical cancer screening programs. However, their performance is limited by the requirement for experienced colposcopists. This study aimed to develop and validate a Colposcopic Artificial Intelligence Auxiliary Diagnostic System (CAIADS) for grading colposcopic impressions and guiding biopsies. Methods Anonymized digital records of 19,435 patients were obtained from six hospitals across China. These records included colposcopic images, clinical information, and pathological results (gold standard). The data were randomly assigned (7:1:2) to a training and a tuning set for developing CAIADS and to a validation set for evaluating performance. Results The agreement between CAIADS-graded colposcopic impressions and pathology findings was higher than that of colposcopies interpreted by colposcopists (82.2% versus 65.9%, kappa 0.750 versus 0.516, p < 0.001). For detecting pathological high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion or worse (HSIL+), CAIADS showed higher sensitivity than the use of colposcopies interpreted by colposcopists at either biopsy threshold (low-grade or worse 90.5%, 95% CI 88.9–91.4% versus 83.5%, 81.5–85.3%; high-grade or worse 71.9%, 69.5–74.2% versus 60.4%, 57.9–62.9%; all p < 0.001), whereas the specificities were similar (low-grade or worse 51.8%, 49.8–53.8% versus 52.0%, 50.0–54.1%; high-grade or worse 93.9%, 92.9–94.9% versus 94.9%, 93.9–95.7%; all p > 0.05). The CAIADS also demonstrated a superior ability in predicting biopsy sites, with a median mean-intersection-over-union (mIoU) of 0.758. Conclusions The CAIADS has potential in assisting beginners and for improving the diagnostic quality of colposcopy and biopsy in the detection of cervical precancer/cancer.

Abstract:Objective. Endoscopic imaging is a visualization method widely used in minimally invasive surgery. However, owing to the strong reflection of the mucus layer on the organs, specular highlights often appear to degrade the imaging performance. Thus, it is necessary to develop an effective highlight removal method for endoscopic imaging. Approach. A specular highlight removal method using a partial attention network (PatNet) for endoscopic imaging is proposed to reduce the interference of bright light in endoscopic surgery. The method is designed as two procedures: highlight segmentation and endoscopic image inpainting. Image segmentation uses brightness threshold based on illumination compensation to divide the endoscopic image into the highlighted mask and the non-highlighted area. The image inpainting algorithm uses a partial convolution network that integrates an attention mechanism. A mask dataset with random hopping points is designed to simulate specular highlight in endoscopic imaging for network training. Through the filtering of masks, the method can focus on recovering defective pixels and preserving valid pixels as much as possible. Main results. The PatNet is compared with 3 highlight segmentation methods, 3 imaging inpainting methods and 5 highlight removal methods for effective analysis. Experimental results show that the proposed method provides better performance in terms of both perception and quantification. In addition, surgeons are invited to score the processing results for different highlight removal methods under realistic reflection conditions. The PatNet received the highest score of 4.18. Correspondingly, the kendall's W is 0.757 and the asymptotic significance p=0.000<0.01, revealing that the subjective scores have good consistency and confidence. Significance. Generally, the method can realize irregular shape highlight reflection removal and image restoration close to the ground truth of endoscopic images. This method can improve the quality of endoscopic imaging for accurate image analysis.

A Temporal Learning Approach to Inpainting Endoscopic Specularities and Its effect on Image Correspondence

Abstract:Video streams are utilised to guide minimally-invasive surgery and diagnostic procedures in a wide range of procedures, and many computer assisted techniques have been developed to automatically analyse them. These approaches can provide additional information to the surgeon such as lesion detection, instrument navigation, or anatomy 3D shape modeling. However, the necessary image features to recognise these patterns are not always reliably detected due to the presence of irregular light patterns such as specular highlight reflections. In this paper, we aim at removing specular highlights from endoscopic videos using machine learning. We propose using a temporal generative adversarial network (GAN) to inpaint the hidden anatomy under specularities, inferring its appearance spatially and from neighbouring frames where they are not present in the same location. This is achieved using in-vivo data of gastric endoscopy (Hyper-Kvasir) in a fully unsupervised manner that relies on automatic detection of specular highlights. System evaluations show significant improvements to traditional methods through direct comparison as well as other machine learning techniques through an ablation study that depicts the importance of the network's temporal and transfer learning components. The generalizability of our system to different surgical setups and procedures was also evaluated qualitatively on in-vivo data of gastric endoscopy and ex-vivo porcine data (SERV-CT, SCARED). We also assess the effect of our method in computer vision tasks that underpin 3D reconstruction and camera motion estimation, namely stereo disparity, optical flow, and sparse point feature matching. These are evaluated quantitatively and qualitatively and results show a positive effect of specular highlight inpainting on these tasks in a novel comprehensive analysis.

Abstract:Abstract Background Colposcopy alone can result in misidentification of high-grade squamous intraepithelial or worse lesions (HSIL +), especially for women with Type 3 transformation zone (TZ) lesions, where colposcopic assessment is particularly imprecise. This study aimed to improve HSIL + case identification by supplementing referral screening results to colposcopic findings. Methods This is an observational multicenter study of 2,417 women, referred to colposcopy after receiving cervical cancer screening results. Logistic regression analysis was conducted under uni- and multivariate models to identify factors which could be used to improve HSIL + case identification. Histological diagnosis was established as the gold standard and is used to assess accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity, as well as to incrementally improve colposcopy. Results Multivariate analysis highlighted age, TZ types, referral screening, and colposcopists’ skills as independent factors. Across this sample population, diagnostic accuracies for detecting HSIL + increased from 72.9% (95%CI 71.1–74.7%) for colposcopy alone to 82.1% (95%CI 80.6–83.6%) after supplementing colposcopy with screening results. A significant increase in colposcopic accuracy was observed across all subgroups. Although, the highest increase was observed in women with a TZ3 lesion, and for those diagnosed by junior colposcopists. Conclusion It appears possible to supplement colposcopic examinations with screening results to improve HSIL + detection, especially for women with TZ3 lesions. It may also be possible to improve junior colposcopists’ diagnoses although, further psychological research is necessary. We need to understand how levels of uncertainty influence diagnostic decisions and what the concept of “experience” actually is and what it means for colposcopic practice.

Abstract:Accurate cervical lesion detection (CLD) methods using colposcopic images are highly demanded in computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) for automatic diagnosis of High-grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions (HSIL). However, compared to natural scene images, the specific characteristics of colposcopic images, such as low contrast, visual similarity, and ambiguous lesion boundaries, pose difficulties to accurately locating HSIL regions and also significantly impede the performance improvement of existing CLD approaches. To tackle these difficulties and better capture cervical lesions, we develop novel feature enhancing mechanisms from both global and local perspectives, and propose a new discriminative CLD framework, called CervixNet, with a Global Class Activation (GCA) module and a Local Bin Excitation (LBE) module. Specifically, the GCA module learns discriminative features by introducing an auxiliary classifier, and guides our model to focus on HSIL regions while ignoring noisy regions. It globally facilitates the feature extraction process and helps boost feature discriminability. Further, our LBE module excites lesion features in a local manner, and allows the lesion regions to be more fine-grained enhanced by explicitly modelling the inter-dependencies among bins of proposal feature. Extensive experiments on a number of 9888 clinical colposcopic images verify the superiority of our method (AP .75 = 20.45) over state-of-the-art models on four widely used metrics.

Abstract:Pathological examination of microscopic image of Pap smear slide remains the main method for cervical cancer diagnosis. The accurate segmentation and classification of images are two important phases of the analysis. Firstly, the Mean-Shift clustering algorithm is applied to obtain regions of interest (ROI) for cell nuclei segmentation. Then the flexible mathematical morphology is applied to split overlapped cell nuclei for better accuracy and robustness. For classification of the images, features based on shape, textural features based on color space and Gabor features are extracted and put together to obtain better classification performance. The optimal feature set is obtained by chain-like agent genetic algorithm (CAGA), P-value and maximum relevance-minimum multicollinearity (MRmMC). The proposed segmentation and classification methods were tested on 362 cervical Pap smear images. Experimental results showed that the cervical cell nuclei can be segmented by the proposed segmentation method with high effective segmentation results (Sensitivity: 94.25%±1.03% and Specificity 93.45%±1.14%). The feature selection method based on CAGA with Gabor features has the highest classification performance for normal, uninvolved and abnormal images (more than 96% accuracy). The proposed method can automatically and effectively segment cell nuclei of microscopic images. From the experimental results, Gabor features and feature selection based on CAGA are apparently helpful for improving the performance of classification.

Abstract:This research aimed to discuss the application of traditional nonlocal mean (NLM) algorithm-based computerized tomography (CT) images in intervention evaluation of the nursing for patients performing laparoscopy-guided radical surgery of colon cancer. A total of 100 patients who were diagnosed with colon cancer after enteroscopy and performed laparoscopic radical surgery were chosen as the research objects. They were divided into an observation group (comprehensive nursing in operation room) and a control group (routine nursing), each of which included 50 cases. All cases received CT examination. Meanwhile, the improved traditional NLM (INLM) algorithm was proposed, and the effects of image reconstruction were analyzed to improve the quality of CT images. The result showed that structural similarity index measure (SSIM) and figure of merit (FOM) of INLM were obviously higher than those of filtered back projection (FBP) algorithm and NLM algorithm, and the average running time was significantly less than that of FBP algorithm and NLM algorithm (P < 0.05). The operation time and the amount of intraoperative blood loss of patients in the observation group were both less than those of patients in the control group, and differences had statistical significance (P < 0.05). Besides, the time of getting out of bed, ventilation recovery time, postoperative meal time, stomach tube encumbrance time, and catheter encumbrance time of patients in the observation group were all less than those of patients in the control group, and the differences had statistical significance (P < 0.05). In the observation group, there were 3 cases with postoperative complications, and 2 out of them got incision infection while 1 suffered from constipation. In contrast, there were 9 cases with postoperative complications in the control group, 3 of which were patients with incision infection, and 2 suffered from urinary retention while the other 4 suffered from constipation. According to the above results, the INLM algorithm proposed in this research could improve the image reconstruction accuracy of traditional algorithm, shorten the running time, and enhance the overall diagnostic efficiency. The comprehensive nursing in operation room with laparoscopic radical surgery of colon cancer could improve the cure rate and prognosis of patients, so it was worthy of clinical promotion and application.
