Abstract:The high infection rate and mortality associated with novel coronavirus infections have attracted worldwide attention; however, the impact of the novel coronavirus on patients with a history of renal transplantation has not been investigated thoroughly. This report presents a patient with SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia following kidney transplantation. The patient developed acute respiratory distress syndrome and acute renal failure upon infection. Following a treatment regimen consisting of discontinued immunosuppressant use and low-dose methylprednisolone-based therapy, the patient successfully recovered and her renal function returned to normal. This report provides a reference for the treatment of similar patients.
