Abstract:In this article we extend the known theory of solution regions to encompass nonlinear boundary conditions. We both provide results for new boundary conditions and recover some known results for the linear case.

Abstract:We discuss the solvability of an infinite system of first order ordinary differential equations on the half line, subject to nonlocal initial conditions. The main result states that if the nonlinearities possess a suitable "sub-linear" growth then the system has at least one solution. The approach relies on the application, in a suitable Fréchet space, of the classical Schauder-Tychonoff fixed point theorem. We show that, as a special case, our approach covers the case of a system of a finite number of differential equations. An illustrative example of application is also provided.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the existence of an absolute continuous solution to a class of first-order nonlinear differential equation with integral boundary conditions (BCs) or with infinite-point BCs. The Liouville-Caputo fractional derivative is involved in the nonlinear function. We first consider the existence of a solution for the first-order nonlinear differential equation with m-point nonlocal BCs. The existence of solutions of our problems is investigated by applying the properties of the Riemann sum for continuous functions. Several examples are given in order to illustrate our results.

Abstract:We investigate the solvability and Ulam stability for a nonlocal nonlinear third-order integro-multi-point boundary value problem on an arbitrary domain. The nonlinearity in the third-order ordinary differential equation involves the unknown function together with its first- and second-order derivatives. Our main results rely on the modern tools of functional analysis and are well illustrated with the aid of examples. An analogue problem involving non-separated integro-multi-point boundary conditions is also discussed.

Abstract:We adapt the method of solution regions to prove new existence and localization results for systems of discontinuous differential equations. Some assumptions concerning the definition of a solution region are relaxed and thus our results enlarge the applicability of this method even in the case of Carathéodory nonlinearities. Several examples are provided to illustrate the theory.

Abstract:In this article the existence as well as the uniqueness (EU) of the solutions for nonlinear multiorder fractional-differential equations (FDE) with local boundary conditions and fractional derivatives of different orders (Caputo and Riemann–Liouville) are covered. The existence result is derived from Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem and its uniqueness is shown using the Banach contraction mapping principle. To illustrate the reliability of the results, two examples are given.

Abstract:In this chapter, firstly we apply the iterative method to establish the existence of the positive solution for a type of nonlinear singular higher-order fractional differential equation with fractional multi-point boundary conditions. Explicit iterative sequences are given to approximate the solutions and the error estimations are also given. Secondly, we cover the multi-valued case of our problem. We investigate it for nonconvex compact valued multifunctions via a fixed point theorem for multivalued maps due to Covitz and Nadler. Two illustrative examples are presented at the end to illustrate the validity of our results.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to study a generalized Riemann–Liouville fractional differential equation and system with nonlocal boundary conditions. Firstly, some properties of the Green function are presented and then Lyapunov-type inequalities for a sequential ψ -Riemann–Liouville fractional boundary value problem are established. Also, the existence and uniqueness of solutions are proved by using Banach and Schauder fixed-point theorems. Furthermore, the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a sequential nonlinear differential system is established by means of Schauder's and Perov's fixed-point theorems. Examples are given to validate the theoretical results.

Abstract:In this article, firstly we develop a method for a type of difference equations, applicable to solve approximately a class of first order ordinary differential equation systems. In a second step, we apply the results obtained to solve a non-linear two point boundary value problem relating a flight mechanics model. We highlight the algorithm obtained seems to be robust and of easy computational implementation.

Abstract:We consider a nonlinear fractional boundary value problem involving conformable variable-order derivative with Dirichlet conditions. We prove the existence of solutions to the considered problem by using the upper and lower solutions’ method with Schauder’s fixed-point theorem. In addition, under some assumptions on the nonlinear term, a new Lyapunov-type inequality is given for the corresponding boundary value problem. The obtained inequality provides a necessary condition for the existence of nontrivial solutions to the considered problem and a method to prove uniqueness for the nonhomogeneous boundary value problem. These new results are illustrated through examples.

Abstract:We study the boundary value problem for a kind -dimension nonlinear fractional differential system with the nonlinear terms involved in the fractional derivative explicitly. The fractional differential operator here is the standard Riemann-Liouville differentiation. By means of fixed point theorems, the existence and multiplicity results of positive solutions are received. Furthermore, two examples given here illustrate that the results are almost sharp.

Abstract:In this paper, we study a second-order differential inclusion under boundary conditions governed by maximal monotone multivalued operators. These boundary conditions incorporate the classical Dirichlet, Neumann, and Sturm–Liouville problems. Our method of study combines the method of lower and upper solutions, the analysis of multivalued functions, and the theory of monotone operators. We show the existence of solutions when the lower solution σ and the upper solution γ are well ordered. Next, we show how our arguments of proof can be easily exploited to establish the existence of extremal solutions in the functional interval σ,γ . We also show that our method can be applied to the periodic case.

Reproducing kernel theorem play an important role in the arguments. Abstract:We consider first-order elliptic differential operators acting on vector bundles over smooth manifolds with smooth boundary, which is permitted to be noncompact. Under very mild assumptions, we obtain a regularity theory for sections in the maximal domain. Under additional geometric assumptions, and assumptions on an adapted boundary operator, we obtain a trace theorem on the maximal domain. This allows us to systematically study both local and nonlocal boundary conditions. In particular, the Atiyah-Patodi-Singer boundary condition occurs as a special case. Furthermore, we study contexts which induce semi-Fredholm and Fredholm extensions.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the investigation of a class of singular differential systems with non-local boundary conditions. Its primary objective is to establish the variational structure of the non-local singular differential systems, and systematically explore multiple solutions through the application of the variational method. A significant achievement of this research is the demonstration that the energy functional satisfies the Cerami condition within an appropriate Sobolev's space. The derivation of key results is facilitated by the strategic application of the Minimization sequence and Fountain Theorem. Furthermore, even in cases where the nonlinear term fails to meet the Ambrosetti–Rabinowitz condition, this paper successfully applies the variational method to address the associated problems. The challenges addressed in this study include proving the convergence of the solution sequence, ensuring the continuous differentiability of the energy functional, and showcasing the embedding property of space. Distinguishing itself from existing research, this paper innovatively constructs a variational framework tailored specifically for singular differential systems with non-local boundary conditions. The utilization of variational methods enables a meticulous and systematic exploration into the solvability of these intricate problems.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider initial-boundary value problems for two-component nonlinear systems of time-fractional diffusion equations with the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition and non-negative initial values. The main results are the existence of solutions global in time and the blow-up. Our approach involves the truncation of the nonlinear terms, which enables us to handle all local Lipschitz continuous nonlinear terms, provided their sum is less than or equal to zero. By employing a comparison principle for the corresponding linear system, we establish also the non-negativity of the nonlinear system.
