Abstract:In this second installment of the Field Guide to Pain, the authors describe pharmacological treatments, physical therapy, interventional treatments, and behavior therapy as viable options to incorporate into a plan of care. By using simple assessment tools and becoming familiar with the various classes of pain medication, primary care providers can facilitate treatment of patients in pain.
