Abstract:More and more new concepts and methods are surfacing thanks to integrated complementary medicine research. As many laws and new discoveries have been covered in the sea of existing literature, understanding research progress and following its direction has become difficult for researchers. This study investigates the global development of integrated complementary medicine research over the past ten years through bibliometric analysis to provide reference to researchers for future work. Searched and selected were articles in 22 integrated complementary medicine journals published globally in the Web of Science database. Analysis of the articles was based on changes of publication years, geographical distribution, research institutes, research fields and so on with multiple bibliometric analysis methods. Generally, the total amount of integrated complementary medicine research articles has increased. However, there was a slight decrease in the last two years. Research in China, US and South Korea has taken the dominant position. Integrated complementary medicine is the inevitable trend of the development of Chinese medicine and even world medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine should take in achievements of modern technology to make breakthroughs. Although research in the last two years declined compared with the peak time of 2013, integrated complementary medicine research will still flourish. There will be more and more research institutes and researchers involved in the near future.

Abstract:Objective: Based on the statistical analysis of the research papers published in Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2011 to 2015 to understand the running characteristics and academic influence and the development trend of the journal, for readers, authors and editors' journal reference; Methods: Use the search function of CNKI,to make a statistic assay of distribution of time, belongs to the column, issuing authorities, authors,the number of quotations, fund-sponsored papers and co publishing by a bibliometric analysis; Results: "Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine" in 2011 -2015 published a total of 2941 research papers, the column is reduced by nearly 20 to less than 10, this paper is mainly from the universities, the top three hospitals and research institutes. there are 19 authors published more than 10 papers,85.4% of the papers have been cited records,55.8% of the papers were funded by the foundation, the paper's cooperation rate is 90.1% and cooperation degree is 4.01; Conslusion: "Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine" in recent years, the column set more reasonable, paper level was significantly improved the quality of continuous improvement, increasing academic influence, The journal is an important publishing base for the high level of scientific research results of traditional Chinese medicine.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the academic level and influence of the Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery from the point of articles published and the authors.Methods The articles and authors of Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery from 2002 to 2012 were retrieved from the Wanfang database and the China National Knowledge Internet database.The full texts were browsed and saved,and then the data were input to Excel for bibliometric analysis.Results There were 1917 articles were published in the Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery during the past 11 years,and the average number of articles per issue was 29.05.The rate of articles with funded projects was 30.62％,and the citation rate was 58.52％.Authors were from 32 provinces,municipalites and Hong Kong.The numbers of articles contributed by authors from Chongqing,Beijing and Shanghai ranked top 3,which were 446(23.27％),240(12.52％) and 203(10.59％),and followed by authors from Sichuan,Jiangshu and Guandong.The number of articles from affiliated hospitals of Medical Schools was 1382 (72.09％).The cooperation rate was 4.37,and the coauthor rate was 90.03％.Conclusions Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery is an academic journal with high quality and strong influence.The distribution of authors of the Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery is wide,and the cooperative rate of authors is high,while the distribution of authors is disproportionate.

Abstract:In recent years, with the ageing of the population, environmental degradation and dietary abnormalities, the incidence of global cardiovascular disease has increased sharply, its serious impact on physical and mental health of humans is an important factor. Chinese medicine has a long history and significant efficacy in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Based on the bibliometric method in the context of big data, this paper searched and screened the relevant literatures of TCM in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases included by SCI from 2004 to 2016 and analysed them from the aspects of annual change, regional distribution, institutional distribution, journal source, research field, highly cited literatures, high-frequency keywords and so on. The analysis results show that the total amount of literature in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases by traditional Chinese medicine is on the rise, mainly focusing on the application of traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese herbal compound, acupuncture and moxibustion, and taiji and other traditional Chinese medicine regimen. The research results of this paper provide a direction reference for TCM researchers to better understand the current research status of TCM in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases under the background of big data and for further research.
Analysis of Academic Periodicals in Area of Public Health Andpreventive Medicine in China

Abstract:To analyze the present state of academic periodicals on public health and preventive medicine in China,73 academic periodicals in the area of preventive medicine and public health were selected from China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) and Wanfang Data Knowledge Platform.The major sources of data come from the periodicals,CNKI,China Academic Periodicals Web,China Citation Database,China Academic Periodicals Analysis Platform,and Chinese Academic Journals Comprehensive Citation Report 2008(Beijing:Science Publisher).The 1980s is a period that saw the fastest growth in the number of periodicals,with growth rate over 200%.43.8% of the editorial offices are located in the North China,27.4% in Beijing.Most periodicals are published bimonthly(49.3%) while 4 are published semimonthly or once every ten days(5.47%).23% of the periodicals are sponsored by Chinese Preventive Medicine Association(CPMA).Most of them are of good quality in printing and other features.24.3% of them have their own websites,30.1% uses public websites,and 38.4% do not use websites at all.The average time between the submission and the publication of a paper is 178 days,which falls short of the requirement for national scientific periodicals.Electronic service is common and effective.69% of the periodicals respond to readers' queries within 24 hours.The average bibliometric indices of the 73 preventive medicine periodicals are as follows:the total publication number 259,the impact factor 0.392,the total citation 742,the impact factor in the same year 0.043,and the cited half-life 4.2 years.From 2001 to 2007,the 4 main indices(impact factor,impact factor in the same year,cited half-life,web download) see an upward trend.As a conclusion,Chinese preventive medicine periodicals have been improved in quantity since the 50's of the last century.The editorial,printing and service qualities have been improved.In the last decade,the average bibliometric indices(citation factor and source factor) have been improved steadily.However,the differences of the indices among journals are significant.Compared with the overall quality of Chinese scientific periodicals,the levels of network information and open database of preventive medicine periodicals lag relatively behind and need improvement.

Abstract:Background: While Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) boasts an extensive historical lineage and abundant clinical expertise in addressing atherosclerosis, this field is yet to be penetrated adequately by bibliometric studies. This study is envisaged to evaluate the contemporary scenario of TCM in conjunction with atherosclerosis over the preceding decade while also identifying forthcoming research trends and emerging topics via the lens of bibliometric analysis. Methods: Literature pertaining to TCM and atherosclerosis, circulated between January 1, 2012 and November 14, 2023, was garnered for the purpose of this research. The examination embraced annual publications, primary countries/regions, engaged institutions and authors, scholarly journals, references, and keywords, utilizing analytical tools like Bibliometrix, CiteSpace, ScimagoGraphica, and VOSviewer present in the R package. Result: This field boasts a total of 1,623 scholarly articles, the majority of which have been contributed by China in this field, with significant contributions stemming from the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Moreover, this field has received financial support from both the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Basic Research Development Program. Wang Yong tops the list in terms of publication count, while Xu Hao's articles take the lead for the total number of citations, positioning them at the core of the authors' collaborative network. The Journal of Ethnopharmacology leads with the most publications and boasts the greatest total number of citations. Principal research foci within the intersection of Chinese Medicine and Atherosclerosis encompass disease characteristics and pathogenic mechanisms, theoretical underpinnings and syndrome-specific treatments in Chinese medicine, potentialities of herbal interventions, and modulation exerted by Chinese medicines on gut microbiota. Conclusion: This analysis offers a sweeping survey of the contemporary condition, principal foci, and progressive trends in worldwide research related to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and atherosclerosis. It further delves into an in-depth dissection of prominent countries, research institutions, and scholars that have made noteworthy strides in this discipline. Additionally, the report analyzes the most cited articles, research developments, and hotspots in the field, providing a reference for future research directions for clinical researchers and practitioners.

Abstract:The Chinese academic journal evaluations often focus on impact metrics, yet there is a lack of comprehensive evaluation methods for journal themes, sections, article types, author distributions, research trends, and cutting-edge hotspots. Bibliometric visualization analysis can assist researchers in comprehensively understanding the influence and research fields of target journals when selecting journals for submission, and it can also help editorial departments in manuscript selection, thereby enhancing the journal's impact. Adopting bibliometric statistical methods and integrating my expertise, this paper takes the "Chinese Journal of Drug Dependence" as an example. By consulting the "World Journal of Impact Index (WJCI) Report" and the "Chinese Academic Journal Impact Factor Annual Report (Natural Science and Engineering Technology)", the journal impact indicators are assessed. Concurrently, by employing VOSviewer software, a review and portrait of the 1080 articles published openly on the CNKI database platform from 2013 to 2023 is conducted. The focus of the visualization analysis is on the academic influence of the journal, institutions, authors, keywords, as well as research hotspots and frontier trends. The aim is to provide relevant information and references for researchers and readers in the field of drug dependence research when choosing journals for submission and for the development of generalist journals.

Abstract:Objective To comprehensively analyze the academic impacts of papers published by the "Chinese Journal of Rheumatology" based on the "Chinese biological medical journal citations database"(CMCI) 1997-2011 data developed by PLA medical library.Methods Based on the Chinese biological medical journal citations database "(CMCI),method of bibliometrics for 1997-2011" was adopted for the analysis.The citation rate,the authors distribution,and the research direction of the citated papers were all included for the evaluation.Results During 1997 to 2010,1700 papers were included into the CMCI by the law of the journal of rbeumatology,8323 times were cited by domestic science and technology journal with the average citation of 4.90 times.The authors of 675 cited papers distributed in 28 provinces and autonomous regions and municipalities.During 1997-2011,the law of the journal of rheumatology cited 170l papers,the rank of the first three topics was the systemic lupus erythematosus (sle),in which 453 articles were cited,rheumatoid arthritis in which 404 article were cited,and relevant ankylosing spondylitis in which 106 articles were cited,Articles with these three topics accounted for 56.61％ of overall citations.Conclusion The papers published by the journal have shown certain depth theoretically and some breakthr-oughs.The articles and papers published have focused on the hot topics and critical research area and topics of rheumatology,therefore,have guided the development of Chinese rheumatology.The journal has important influences on clinical practice and research of Chinese rheumatology.The papers published could be used as valuable resources.The influence and the academic status of this journal is gradually expanding and the quality of the publications is persistently improving.It is one of the major scientific journals in medical research in China.

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the academic status and influence of "Chinese Journal of Endemiology" in the preventive medicinal core periodicals to provide a scientific basis for further improving the quality of the journal. Methods Journal evaluation data of "Chinese Science and Technology Journal Citation Reports" (2005 -2009 periodicals) as a statistical source, twenty-eight core journals of preventive medicine as an evaluation object, a single evaluation index (such as impact factor, total cites and he cited rate) as a reference, integrated 15 journal evaluation indicators of 28 kinds of preventive medicinial core periodicals into 4 comprehensive evaluation indexes.Calculate the composite indicator score through principal component analysis method if the index's relevant eigenvalue was greater than 1 and their cumulative contribution rate was more than 80%. Then calculated the composite indicator scores of the 4 kinds of indexes, which were weighted into linear combination of the composition with its corresponding contribution. Assess the overall level and the academic quality of "Chinese Journal of Endemiology" among core journals of preventive medicine on the basis of the 4 composite score. Results Impact factors of Chinese Journal of Endemiology were 0.909, 1.237, 0.899, 0.832, 1.019 between 2005 and 2009, ranked number 4, 1, 4, 6 and 3 among the 28 core journals. Its total cited frequency respectively were 933, 1172,1101, 1267 and 1491, among the 28 kinds of core journals and ranked number 4, 4, 6, 5 and 6. Comprehensive score of "Chinese Journal of Endemiology" were 0.269, 0.371, 0.282, 0.247 and 0.602, and its rank were 7th, 5th,7th,5th and 4th in the 28 core journals. Conclusions The impact factor and citation frequency of "Chinese Journal of Endemiology" are ranked at the forefront of preventive medicinal core periodicals. More attention should be paid to academic exchanges of related areas, and to enhance the academic quality of the journal. Abstract:The aim of this study is to conduct a retrospective bibliometric analysis of articles about traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) research in PubMed and to learn about the development and perspective of TCM. A systematic bibliometric search was performed based on the PubMed database covering related publications between January 1, 1995, and December 31, 2014. Numbers and type of articles, countries and language of publications, as well as major journals were analyzed in accordance with bibliometrics methodologies. The retrieve results were analyzed and described in the form of texts, tables, and graphs. A total of 42,192 articles were identified from the PubMed database, among which 43.56 % were published as original articles. The articles were originated from 102 countries and territories. China was ranked first with 20,121 articles, followed by United States with 2207 articles. 57.74 % of the articles are published in English. 4364 articles were published by Zhongguo Zhong Yao Za Zhi. And complementary medicine was the most focused research are involving 30,544 articles. The publication activity of TCM literature increased rapidly in the past 20 years, indicating enhanced attention attracted to TCM and more research input. In view of its great advances achieved in scientific studies, TCM will continue to play an important role in medical research.

Abstract:CiteSpace and VOSviewer software were used to measure and visualize 3537 relevant articles from the Web of Science core database and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)from 2012 to 2022.The United States,China,and Germany were identified as relatively productive nations.International research hotspots focused on integrative Chinese and Western medicine therapy,cancer care and evidence-based system evaluation of integrative medicine.Future research trends are expected to concentrate on comprehensive oncology and novel coronavirus infections.Domestic research hotspots focused on medical education,teaching curriculum integration,ideological and political education.Future research directions are anticipated to focus on curriculum system construction,teaching mode reforms and the cultivation of multidisciplinary medical professionals.Integrative medicine is deemed an essential path for medical research in the new era.Improving the theoretical frameworks,strengthening the practice of integrated clinical practices,and deepening the reform of integrative medical education curriculum are the keys to the development of integrative medicine in China.

Abstract:Objective Chinese Journal of Blood Purification is a professional journal in the research field of blood purification in China. We analyzed the quantity and quality of the published articles on this journal using the China citation database of CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure),and evaluated the academic influences of this journal. Methods We evaluated the quality of this journal in the number of articles published every year and in every issue,the impact factor,the tendency to spread on web,and the distribution of readers’area. Results From 2003-2009,the number of articles published every year were 222,193,228,284,276,243 and 285,respectively. The impact factor and tendency to spread on web have been increasing. Conclusion Chinese Journal of Blood Purification has become one of the important information sources in the research field of blood purification in China with the increasing of the article number published every year,the impact factor and the tendency to spread on internet web,and is an important place to display the progresses in blood purification in China.

Abstract:Academic journals,by which academic influence of a country is indicated,provide important sources for research.The number of papers collected by the three US science citation databases(SCI,SSCI,AHCI) is an important index of a discipline's international academic influence.An analysis of academic papers indexed by the three science citation databases over the last three decades in our country reveals that great gaps exist in the number of papers indexed by each database,which embodies great imbalance in the development and international academic influence of the three subjects,of which natural science developed at a high speed,social science developed rapidly,and art and humanities developed slowly.In order to enhance the international academic influence of our country,policies should be stipulated to balance the development of different subjects.The way to classify subjects should be reformed: the philosophical social science should be divided into two subjects——social science and art humanities.Correct methods should be used in evaluating different subjects and measures should be taken to assist academic journals in entering international citation databases and thereby promote the internationalization.

Abstract:The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has presented new challenges and opportunities for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), aiming to provide objective assessments and improve clinical effectiveness. However, there is a lack of comprehensive analyses on the research trajectory, key directions, current trends, and future perspectives in this field. This research aims to comprehensively update the progress of AI in TCM over the past 24 years, based on data from the Web of Science database covering January 1, 2000, to March 1, 2024. Using advanced analytical tools, we conducted detailed bibliometric and visual analyses. The results highlight China's predominant influence, contributing 54.35 % of the total publications and playing a key role in shaping research in this field. Significant productivity was observed at institutions such as the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with Wang Yu being the most prolific contributor. The journal Molecules contributed the most publications in this field. This study identified hepatocellular carcinoma, chemical and drug-induced liver injury, Papillon-Lefèvre disease, Parkinson's disease, and anorexia as the most significant disorders researched. This comprehensive bibliometric assessment benefits both seasoned researchers and newcomers, offering quick access to essential information and fostering the generation of innovative ideas in this field.
Impactful publications of critical care medicine research in China: A bibliometric analysis

Abstract:Background Although publications have been increasing rapidly, the research quality has yet to improve in the field of critical care medicine (CCM) in China. This study aimed at investigating the current status of and the influential factors for impactful publications in CCM research by Chinese authors. Methods Publications by authors with the affiliation of critical care medicine department or intensive care unit (CCM/ICU) in Chinese as well as American hospitals from 2001 to 2020 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database for this bibliometric analysis. Moreover, statistical analyses to test factors affecting impactful publications by Chinese authors were performed. Results Of 13,487 articles retrieved by this search strategy, 6,622 were published by Chinese authors as first or corresponding authors. The annual publications by Chinese authors have been rapidly increasing from 2001 to 2020, and so did the citations to these articles. However, the proportion in the world of publications by Chinese authors was much less than that by American authors each year [ M (IQR): 1.85 (9.592) vs. 27.77 (7.3), p < 0.001]. In addition, impactful articles were significantly less published by Chinese than by American authors, including articles either in journals with a high impact factor ( p < 0.001) or in the top 10 journals in the field of CCM (5.4 vs 13.4%, p < 0.001), and articles with high citation frequency as well ( p < 0.001). Moreover, the percentage of impactful publications by Chinese authors was likely associated with academic background and regions of the author's affiliations, funds support, public health events of COVID-19, and collaboration between authors. Conclusion Our results demonstrated that CCM research in China grew rapidly in the recent 20 years. However, the impactful publications remained limited, largely owing to the shortage of comprehensive research training, inactive collaboration, and underfunded CCM research.

Abstract:Background: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) may be understood as a system of sensations and findings designed to establish the functional vegetative state of the body. This state may be treated by several therapeutic methods such as acupuncture, Chinese pharmacotherapy, dietetics, Tuina, and Qigong. Nowadays, as a result of several evidence-based reported beneficial effects over specific pathological conditions, there is an increasing tendency to integrate some of these practices in Western medicine. The main goal of this study was to perform a bibliometric analysis of TCM scientific production between 1982 and 2016 indexed in PubMed, by analyzing several parameters including time and location distribution, publication quality, experimental design, and treatment methods. Methods: The methodology was based on the quantitative inventory of published scientific research indexed in PubMed medical subject headings (MeSH), sorted within the broad term &ldquo;Traditional Chinese Medicine&rdquo; and integrating the following criteria as limit filters: &ldquo;Species: Humans&rdquo;, &ldquo;Article Type: Clinical Trial&rdquo;. In addition, the articles&rsquo; triage was ruled by temporal limitations set between 1945 and 2016. Results: The overall analysis of data allowed observation of an average annual growth of approximately 33%, with a productive peak of 122 articles in 2007. The scientific production was distributed in 27 countries, led by China (76.1%), followed by the United States of America (3.0%) and South Korea (2.1%). A significant amount of references were published in Chinese journals: more than 50%; however, these journals had a low impact factor. The most cited treatments in the keywords section of the articles were phytotherapy (55%) and acupuncture (40%). Conclusion: The increasing demand for TCM seems to be due to factors such as lower side effects and greater efficacy in some patients not responding well to conventional therapy. As a result, a considerable amount of TCM science-based literature has been produced, supporting the rational integration of these practices in Western healthcare systems and research. Our results show that the quality of TCM research and inherent publications have been increasing over the last decades, with a higher incidence of studies published in well-ranked journals.
Bibliometric Analysis of Integrated Health Services Research in China

Abstract:Objective: To analyze the research status, research hotspots and development trend of integrated health services in China, so as to provide references for related research. Methods: CiteSpace software was used to conduct co-occurrence analysis, cluster analysis and burst analysis of Chinese and English literature related to integrated health services research in China published from 2008 to 2021 in the databases of CNKI and Web of Science. Results: A total of 1376 articles were collected. The number of articles published in integrated health service research showed an increasing trend. The high-frequency keywords in Chinese and English studies were integration, medical resources, medical alliances, hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, medical institutions, health care, prevalence, primary care, system, service. Keywords clustering in Chinese and English included vertical integration, medical community, public hospital, primary care, mobility, physician. The strongest burst of Chinese and English keywords was vertical integration and experience. Conclusion: The integrated health service research in China develops rapidly and continuously. There are differences in research concerns between home and abroad. It is suggested that the implementation research should be carried out simultaneously in the process of integrated service reform, systematically and comprehensively evaluate the reform effect, and further play the supporting role of research in the practice of integrated health service reform.
Analysis of the Status and Trends of International Research in Complementary and Alternative Medicine Based on Literature Mining

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To have an overview of the international status and trends of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) research, and to provide a reference tool for researchers.METHODS:Taking PubMed as the retrieval source, and using the methods of informetrics analysis (such as Price's Law of exponential growth, Bradford's law) and text mining (association rules), CAM articles published between 1998 and 2010 were statistically analyzed on, for example, document growth, core journals and active fields.RESULTS:The literature about CAM research published between 1998 and 2010 showed the trends of exponential growth in quantity. Regional distribution of literature was extensive; China and the United States were the two major sources. Forty-five periodicals were selected from core journals based on Bradford's law of scattering; some colleges and schools constituted the main force in research on CAM. The active fields mainly focus on (1) acupuncture research; (2) phytotherapy research; (3) mind-body medicine; (4) integrative medicine; (5) treatment and prevention of key conditions such as neoplasm, low back pain, mental disorder and chronic diseases.CONCLUSION:(1) CAM research has attracted attention from all over the world, and it will enter a rapid development stage in the future; (2) Treatment and prevention of neoplasm is a consistent key subject and research field in global CAM research; (3) Elucidating clinical effects, mechanisms of action, and safety of major CAM methods constitutes the most important task; (4) Studies on mind-body medicine have increased in recent years, so clinical evaluation and studies of mind-body interventions should be supported; (5) Research has been done increasingly for identification of the clinical effects and biological mechanisms of CAM interventions in symptom management; (6) Research on CAM will stimulate the development of modern medical model; (7) TCM is an active discipline of CAM, and China will thus face increasing challenges.

Abstract:Background: Breast cancer poses a significant health threat to women, marked by high incidence and mortality rates. Although modern treatment primarily involves surgery and chemotherapy, which may reduce quality of life, limited analysis exists on the effects of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on this aspect. In this paper, bibliometric software was used to study the literature related to TCM in the treatment of breast cancer to provide researchers with new insights and directions for development. Methods: By using CiteSpace and VOSviewer, we conducted an analysis of literature on TCM in breast cancer treatment from the Web of Science Core Collection (2013-2023). The assessment encompassed countries, institutions, journals, authors, keywords, and references, providing a comprehensive overview of developments in the field. Results: Analyzing 7419 articles, this study revealed an increasing trend in TCM research on breast cancer from 2013 to 2023. China and its institutions, particularly Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, made significant contributions. Liu Zhishun emerged as the most prolific author, while Y. Macpherson received the highest number of citations. The journal Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine received the highest number of citations. Research primarily centers on TCM approaches for enhancing breast cancer patients' quality of life and elucidating their underlying mechanisms. Conclusion: Numerous studies have investigated TCM in treating female breast cancer, revealing treatment trends, analyzing major research topics, currently focusing on acupuncture, breastfeeding, and TCM, which have a greater impact on positively ameliorating breast cancer. Influential authors and publications were also identified. These insights provide valuable guidance for future research, contributing to the foundation for developing effective TCM strategies for breast cancer.

Abstract:Aim of the study: To analyze the progress in Mongolian medicine and medicinal materials and to highlight its development process, emerging trends, and hotspots. Materials and methods: Papers on Mongolian medicine and medicinal materials from January 2000 to May 2022 were retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database. Using the collaboration network analysis of CiteSpace V and VOSviewer software, the cooperation among individuals and institutions in the field of scientific research was analyzed. The functions of frequency analysis, cluster analysis, and burst analysis were employed to conduct bibliometric analysis on research hotspots and trends in the field of Mongolian medicine research. Furthermore, the data visualization function was utilized to clearly display data trends and changes. Results: A total of 8362 papers on Mongolian medicine medicinal materials from CNKI were identified and analyzed.The research on Mongolian medicine has gone through three stages: the initial stage, the exploratory stage, and the developmental stage. The top two institutions in the number of papers are Inner Mongolia Medical University and Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities. Bagenna from Inner Mongolia Medical University is the author with the most papers. "clinical efficacy", "clinical research", and "quality standards" were the most frequently used keywords. Research in the field of Mongolian medicine has focused on several diseases, including skeletal system disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and digestive system disorders. Conclusion: Since 2000, there have been growing attention and efforts made in the field of Mongolian medicine and medicinal materials. The research in the field of Mongolian medicine had undergone three stages, namely the initial stage, the exploratory stage, and the developmental stage. The focus shifted from basic research such as the analysis of medicinal ingredients in Mongolian herbs to the application-oriented directions of traditional treatment techniques and advantageous diseases in Mongolian medicine. To make breakthroughs in this field, further research is needed to improve the persuasiveness and authority of Mongolian medicine and medicinal materials in terms of mechanism, standardization, and safety, to promote the development of Mongolian medicine and medicinal materials.
