Abstract:Deep eutectic solvents (DES), compared to classic ones, have interesting properties, such as the ability to solubilize compounds differing in polarity or increased dissolution of selected chemical compounds. They also offer specific interactions between the mobile and stationary phases. Those features make them promising solvents in chromatographic techniques, including the use in the separation of complicated samples. The first quantitative analysis with eutectic thin-layer chromatography (TLC) is presented in the paper. As a case study, five alkaloids from Chelidonium maius were selected as target compounds. A wide range of terpene-based DESs was investigated to develop the chromatographic system, both pure and after dilution. Moreover, a novel approach was employed to adjust polarity, involving mixing DESs differing in chromatographic properties. This procedure has proved to be effective. The best results were obtained with a 2:1 (wt/wt) mixture of DESs: camphor + phenol and menthol + limonene, with a 20% addition of methanol. The chromatographic system was validated and checked on the real sample, which made it the first applicable and operational quantitative eutectic TLC system.

Abstract:The distillation of azeotropic mixtures is commonly and widely performed in the pharmaceutical, petroleum, and chemical industries. Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are environmentally-friendly entrainers that have many properties similar to ionic liquids (ILs) but are also simple in preparation and cheap in price. Also, the ethanol/water system is a typical industrial azeotropic mixture. In this work, the relative volatility of ethanol and water at the azeotropic point was increased from 1.00 to 4.70 with 0-51.0 mass % ChCl/urea (1:2, mol/mol), with ChCl/urea showing a remarkable entrainer performance in this separation. Isobaric vapor liquid equilibrium (VLE) data of four systems, water + ethanol, water + ChCl/urea, ethanol + ChCl/urea, and water + ethanol + ChCl/urea (at 10, 20, and 30 mass%), were determined using a modified Othmer equilibrium still at 10132 kPa. After addition of ChCl/urea, the ethanol + water mixture's azeotropic point was eliminated. The parameters of the nonrandom two-liquid (NRTL) model for these systems were calculated and the predicted values for these systems were found to fit the experimental VLE data quite well. Abstract:Natural deep eutectic solvent (NADES) has received increasing interest as a green alternative to traditional organic solvents for efficient extraction of bioactive compounds from natural sources. In this study, phytochemicals in Carya cathayensis Sarg. peels extracted with Choline chloride-Malic acid (ChCl-MA) were identified using UPLC-Triple-TOF/MS. Effect of NADES on phenolic composition, antioxidant properties and inhibition of α-glucosidase and α-amylase were evaluated. Furthermore, extraction mechanism caused by different solvents were investigated by quantum chemical calculation combined with molecular dynamic simulation. A total of 29 phytochemicals were identified, and catechin, procyanidin B1, 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid, pinocembrin, procyanidin B3, myricetrin were the most abundant compounds. The extract using ChCl-MA exhibited the highest phenolic compounds content, antioxidant capacity, and α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibition activities. Larger solvent accessible surface area, more hydrogen bonds between ChCl-MA and extract, longer lifetime of the hydrogen bonds, and lower intermolecular interaction energy account for higher extraction efficiency of ChCl-MA.

Methanol Linear Gradient Counter-Current Chromatography for the Separation of Natural Products: Sinopodophyllum Hexandrum As Samples.

Abstract:Counter-current chromatography (CCC) is a unique, liquid-liquid partition chromatography process. Both the mobile and stationary phases are liquids, so no solid support matrix is used. CCC has gained wide acceptance as a preparative technique in a variety of fields. Because the mobile and stationary phases are both liquids, gradient elution is difficult to perform with CCC. Phase equilibrium must be maintained, so any change in the composition of one phase may induce a compositional change in the other. In this work, a new linear gradient elution method was developed for CCC. Biphasic solvent systems containing heptane, ethyl acetate, methanol, and water (HepEMWat) in various ratios were prepared and used to optimize both isocratic and linear gradient CCC separation with methanol. We first separated a test mixture of four standard compounds with partition coefficients ranging from 0.8 to 7.8. The separation resembled a reversed-phase process, and elution was performed while progressively decreasing the polarity of the mobile phase. Target molecules with small partition coefficients eluted first in the lower phase of the optimized HepEMWat solvent system. Elution of constituents with large partition coefficients was quite slow under isocratic conditions. Separation time was significantly reduced when elution was performed with a linear gradient using methanol and the optimal HepEMWat system. Elution with a 3:7:4:6 (v/v/v/v) HepEMWat system took approximately 200 min. This included an 80-min isocratic step, followed by gradient elution with methanol from 0% to 30%. The optimized methanol linear gradient CCC method was then used to separate a complex mixture of natural products isolated from Sinopodophyllum hexandrum (Royle) Ying roots. Twelve compounds with a wide range of polarities were well-resolved in a single separation. We have developed a convenient and cost-effective strategy for the separation of complex mixtures. No tedious mobile phase preparation step is required. The volume of unused mobile phase is minimal, so little solvent is wasted. The method is an important advance for the separation of mixtures that contain many compounds with a large range of polarities and partition coefficients, which are common features of natural products. Abstract:The new mode of two-dimensional gradient thin layer chromatography (MGD-2D TLC) has been presented. Short distance development of sample in the first dimension leads to formation of the preconcentrated narrow zones. They are consecutively separated in the second dimension with the mobile phase gradient in several steps of development until the eluent reaches the further end of the chromatographic plate. The use of the above-mentioned technique allows isolating and then identifying the compounds of various polarity from the multicomponent mixture. The practical application of two-dimensional gradient thin layer chromatography has been performed for isolation of the two plant ( Juniperus and Thymus ) oils components as the examples of test mixtures. The experiments have been carried out with the use of silica gel plates as well as a normal phase condition. The results of solute separation with isocratic one-dimensional thin layer chromatography system have been compared with those of two-dimensional gradient system. It has been observed that application of the latter mode leads to almost triplicated number of zones in comparison with the former one. It is purposeful to apply the proposed mode to control the purity of the dominant component or components of the mixture.

Abstract:In this study, authors propose a simple and cost-effective two-dimensional thin-layer chromatography (2D-TLC) method for the simultaneous determination of eleven standards alkaloids: allocryptopine (A), berberine (Be), boldine (Bo), chelidonine (Ch), glaucine (G), papaverine (Pa), emetine (E), columbamine (Col), magnoflorine (M), palmatine (Pal), and coptisine (Cop). Separation of the alkaloid mixture was achieved by 2D-TLC using an aqueous mobile phase (RP) in the first dimension (80% methanol + water + 0.05 mL−1 diethylamine) and a normal phase (NP) in the second dimension (18% methanol, 18% acetone in 63% diisopropyl ether containing 1% ammonia, v/v) on bilayer Multi-K CS5 plates. The composition of the mobile phases was optimized in terms of retention, separation selectivity, spots symmetry, and system efficiency. The procedure was evaluated in terms of natural samples analysis. Magnoflorine and berberine were identified in Thalictrum foetidum root extract. Additionally, the alkaloids in the extract sample were confirmed by high-performance liquid chromatography—diode-array detection method.
A Novel 9×9 Map-Based Solvent Selection Strategy for Targeted Counter-Current Chromatography Isolation of Natural Products

Abstract:Counter-current chromatography (CCC) is an efficient liquid-liquid chromatography technique for separation and purification of complex mixtures like natural products extracts and synthetic chemicals. However, CCC is still a challenging process requiring some special technical knowledge especially in the selection of appropriated solvent systems. In this work, we introduced a new 9 × 9 map-based solvent selection strategy for CCC isolation of targets, which permit more than 60 hexane-ethyl acetate-methanol-water (HEMWat) solvent systems as the start candidates for the selection of solvent systems. Among these solvent systems, there are clear linear correlations between partition coefficient (K) and the system numbers. Thus, an appropriate CCC solvent system (i.e., sweet spot for K = 1) may be hit by measurement of k values of the target only in two random solvent systems. Besides this, surprisingly, we found that through two sweet spots, we could get a line ("Sweet line") where there are infinite sweet solvent systems being suitable for CCC separation. In these sweet solvent systems, the target has the same partition coefficient (K) but different solubilities. Thus, the better sweet solvent system with higher sample solubility can be obtained for high capacity CCC preparation. Furthermore, we found that there is a zone ("Sweet zone") where all solvent systems have their own sweet partition coefficients values for the target in range of 0.4 < K< 2.5 or extended range of 0.25 < K < 16. All results were validated by using 14 pure GUESSmix mimic natural products as standards and further confirmed by isolation of several targets including honokiol and magnolol from the extracts of Magnolia officinalis Rehd. Et Wils and tanshinone IIA from Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. In practice, it is much easier to get a suitable solvent system only by making a simple screening two to four HEMWat two-phase solvent systems to obtain the sweet line or sweet zone without special knowledge or comprehensive standards as references. This is an important advancement for solvent system selection and also will be very useful for isolation of current natural products including Traditional Chinese Medicines.
Efficacy of Glove Combinations in Reducing Cell Culture Infection After Glove Puncture With Needles Contaminated With Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1

Abstract:Abstract Objective: To study the effect of various latex and treated glove combinations in reducing the frequency of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection of tissue culture cells after puncture by surgical needles contaminated with infectious human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV 1). Design: One, two, or three layers of sterile latex glove material, or two latex layers with intermediate cotton or Kevlar (with or without the virucidal compound nonoxynol-9) were used to cover 24-well cell culture dishes containing MT2 cells in cell culture medium. Surgical needles wet with cell culture medium containing HIV- 1 (HTLV IIIA strain) were passed through the glove materials into the culture medium in the wells of the culture dishes. The culture medium in each well was then assayed biweekly for HIV-1 p24 antigen as a test for infection of cells in the well. Results: The rate of HIV-1 infection of cell cultures after glove puncture was greater than 90% with a single latex surgical glove barrier, 23% to 60% with double or triple layers of latex gloves, less than 8% with an intermediate cotton glove impregnated with 4% nonoxynol-9, 6% with an intermediate Kevlar glove, and 0% with an intermediate Kevlar glove impregnated with non-oxynol-9. Conclusions: An intermediate glove of Kevlar or of Kevlar or cotton impregnated with virucidal compound nonoxynol-9 between standard latex gloves may improve surgical glove safety, compared with latex gloves alone with respect to needlestick transmission of HIV 1. The experimental model used may permit rapid investigation of other glove systems as barriers to the transfer of infectious agents through gloves by needlestick. Abstract:Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are regarded as promising solvents to extract chemicals from plant materials. In this study, a DES-based microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) method was developed for the chromatographic analysis of four bioactive flavonoids in Spirodela polyrrhiza. Chromatographic separation was achieved on a Promosil C18-column. Prior to the HPLC analysis, the flavonoids were rapidly extracted by a DES-MAE process using choline chloride/levulinic acid (1:2, mol/mol) as the solvent. The extraction parameters were optimized using response surface methodology, and the optimal DES-MAE was fast and efficient compared with conventional solvent-based MAE and ultrasonic-assisted extraction using DES. The recoveries of optimized DES-MAE for the four flavonoids ranged from 97.80 to 103.29%. This study demonstrates that the validated DES-MAE-HPLC method is efficient, accurate and applicable to the determination of flavonoids in S. polyrrhiza.

Abstract:Background: Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have been widely and significantly applied in various fields due to their outstanding features such as low cost, easy preparation and good biodegradability. As novel derivatives of DESs, deep eutectic supramolecular polymers (DESPs) combine the macroscopic state of DESs with the covalent interactions of supramolecular polymers, which also possess the properties of DESs as multifunctional materials. Therefore, DESPs are believed to be promising candidates for separation science. However, there are no studies on the application of DESPs as stationary phases for HPLC analysis. Results: In this work, a novel DESP based HPLC stationary phase (Poly(DES)@SiO2) was developed for the first time through a green synthesis method by using DES as the polymerization monomer as well as the reaction medium. The results manifest that this novel Poly(DES)@SiO2 column can well interact with analytes through various mechanisms, and realize selective separation of a wide range of structurally similar hydrophilic/hydrophobic substances. More importantly, the separation of hydrophobic analytes on the Poly(DES)@SiO2 column is less time-consuming with fewer organic eluent, although the column efficiency is slightly lower than that of commercial C18 column. Furthermore, the Poly(DES)@SiO2 column exhibits excellent mechanical stability and satisfactory separation repeatability for steroid hormones. Therefore, a reliable method was established for detecting steroid hormones in actual samples with the recoveries ranging from 94.56 % to 103.84 %, which can meet the detection needs of commonly seen steroid hormones in food and the environment. Significance: In summary, this work provides some valuable theoretical references for the synthesis of new DESP based stationary phases through a green and facile strategy, and meanwhile, verifies the feasibility of DESP for effective HPLC separations. In addition, the promising application prospect of DESP based stationary phases in the analysis of complex samples has also been demonstrated, expanding the potential application of DES in separation science.
Usage of a deep eutectic solvent based on three compounds for toluene separation

Abstract:The separation of toluene from a mixture composed of toluene and heptane was carried out in the presence of a deep eutectic solvent (DES). The DES used in this study was synthesized using choline chloride, urea and glycerol with mole ratio of 1 : 2 : 1. The liquid-liquid equilibria (LLE) of the ternary system of toluene, heptane, and DES were determined at atmospheric pressure and three temperatures of 298.2-313.2 K with an interval of 10 K. The distribution coefficients and selectivities of toluene were reported. Only a small amount of heptane was detected in the extract phase, resulting in high value of selectivity. The experimental LLE data were reasonably well correlated using non-random two-liquid (NRTL) model. The ab initio results revealed that the interactions between the DES and toluene are stronger than those between DES and heptane, which may be a reasonable explanation for the high value of selectivity in this ternary system.

Abstract:Plants are subjects of interest due to the secondary metabolites in their extracts which are promising as new pharmaceuticals. Phytochemistry do not have united system of sample preparation or analysis still due to different structure of plant cells, wide broad range of chemical properties and concentrations of bioactive compounds. Such challenges can be addressed in a green chemistry manner using new approaches through smart materials in routine monitoring and researches. Liquid smart materials, such as ionic liquids (ILs) and deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are attractive due to flexible properties, lots of extraction approaches, recycle potential, and direct compatibility with powerful analytical methods. In this study DES-based microextraction procedure with pH-switching was developed. Four choline chloride DESs were suggested as selective extraction phases for polar compounds from acetonitrile extracts. Method was successfully tested on four plants (Iris sibirica L., Hypericum perforatum L., Scutellaria baicalensis G, Citrus reticulata B.). Developed procedure was optimized and validated for the choline chloride - urea (1:2 mol/mol) DES that demonstrated better results in extraction. LOD for rutin was found as 0.05 mg ml-1. For low-polar compound, imidazolium ionic liquid-based dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction procedure was developed. 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium salts have demonstrated desired selectivity. The main factors influencing the extraction efficiency have been identified and optimized by design of experiment on two model plants (Iris sibirica L. and Scutellaria baicalensis G.). Validation procedures were done for thymol. LOD for thymol was found as 0.021 mg ml-1. The methods were compared with each other and traditional methanol extraction. The selectivity of the smart materials supports each other, usage of such extraction phases provides same or better results as obtained with methanol.
Choline Chloride Based Deep Eutectic Solvents as Promising Extractants of Flavonoids from Sedative Plant Composition

Abstract:Introduction. Nowadays deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are the object of close attention of the scientific community in various fields, such as chemistry, biology, pharmacy, biotechnology. The areas of application of DESs vary widely, and one of them is the extraction of biologically active substances from plant raw materials. Aim. The aim of this work was to study the possibility of extraction of flavonoids from plant raw materials with using of deep eutectic solvents based on choline chloride, as well as to compare the efficiency of their extraction with traditional solvents. Materials and methods. The extraction of flavonoids was carried out from the collection of a plant composition consisting of the herb of motherwort cordial (common motherwort) ( Leonurus cardiaca L.), the herb of St. John's wort ( Hypericum perforatum L.), the herb of lemon balm ( Melissa officinalis L.) and the herb of creeping thyme (thyme) ( Thymus serpyllum L.) in a ratio of 4 : 2.5 : 2.5 : 1, crushed to a particle size of 2–3 mm. DESs based on choline chloride as hydrogen bond acceptor were used as extractants. Results and discussion. In this article, DESs based on choline chloride were investigated for the ability to extract flavonoids from the medicinal collection of a plant composition based on leonurus grass, hypericum grass, melissa grass and thyme grass, which has a sedative effect. The influence of the water content in DES solutions on the properties of the extractant was also studied. Quantitative determination of flavonoids in terms of rutin was carried out by differential spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 410 ± 2 nm. The maximum yield of flavonoids was achieved by using a 50 % aqueous solution of DES based on choline chloride, glucose and water in a molar ratio of 2 : 1 : 1 at an extraction temperature of 60 °C. Conclusion. The extracting ability of the obtained DES in terms of the efficiency of flavonoid extraction exceeds the extracting characteristics of the classical extractant for the composition under study – 70 % ethanol. Further study of the properties of the obtained extractant, its physical, chemical, and toxicological characteristics is the task of future experiments.

Abstract:Recently, deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have attracted considerable interest in analytical chemistry. This work described the enantioseparations of twenty amino alcohol drugs with several DESs based on lactobionic acid (LA) as the sole chiral selector in capillary electrophoresis (CE) firstly. Compared to the single LA system and the ionic liquid/LA synergistic system, the DES system exhibited considerably improved separations. The influences of some key parameters on separations were investigated in detail. This work also experimentally demonstrated that the carboxyl group was indispensable in the process of chiral recognition. The mechanisms of the improvements of DESs on enantioseparations were studied via ultraviolet spectroscopy. Furthermore, the proposed method was used to determine the enantiomeric purity of propranolol hydrochloride successfully. This is the first time that chiral DESs were utilized as the sole chiral selectors in CE, and this strategy has opened up a new prospect for the use of DESs in enantioseparation.

Abstract:Over the past six decades, acetonitrile (ACN) has been the most employed organic modifier in reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC), followed by methanol (MeOH). However, from the growing environmental awareness that leads to the emergence of “green analytical chemistry,” new research has emerged that includes finding replacements to problematic ACN because of its low sustainability. Deep eutectic solvents (DES) can be produced from an almost infinite possible combinations of compounds, while being a “greener” alternative to organic solvents in HPLC, especially those prepared from natural compounds called natural DES (NADES). In this work, the use of three NADES as the main organic component in RP-HPLC, rather than simply an additive, was explored and compared to the common organic solvents ACN and MeOH but additionally to the greener ethanol for separating two different mixtures of compounds, one demonstrating the elution of compounds with increasing hydrophobicity and the other comparing molecules of different functionality and molar mass. To utilize NADES as an organic modifier and overcome their high viscosity monolithic columns, temperatures at 50 °C and 5% ethanol in the mobile phase were used. NADES are shown to give chromatographic performances in between those observed for ACN and MeOH when eluotropic strength, resolution, and peak capacity were taken into consideration, while being less environmentally impactful as shown by the HPLC-Environmental Assessment Tool (HPLC-EAT) metric. With the development of proper technologies, DES could open a new class of mobile phases increasing the possibilities of new separation selectivities while reducing the environmental impact of HPLC analyses.Graphical abstractNatural deep eutectic solvents versus traditional solvents in HPLC

Abstract:A novel ethanolic two-phase system (ETPS) composed of Pluronic®L-64 (PL 64) and deep eutectic solvents (DESs) was constructed for the separation of two similar flavonoids of naringin (Nar) and neohesperidin (Neo) from the pomelo peel. The selectivity (S) data showed that DES prepared from tetrabutylammonium bromide (N4444Br) and glycerol (Gly) had the optimal distribution efficiency for Nar and Neo standards. A binodal curve of N4444Br-Gly/PL 64/ethanol system fitted to the nonlinear Merchuk relationship showed that the biphasic region was narrow for ETPS. The influences of the mass ratio of DESs and PL 64, DES concentration, PL 64 concentration, molar ratio of DESs, temperature, phosphate buffer solution, and ethanolic pH were studied in single-factor experiments. Under the optimal conditions, the maximum extraction efficiency (ENar = 68.32%, ENeo = 86.09%), partition coefficient (KNar = 6.66, KNeo = 19.13), and S (2.88) were obtained in the DESs-rich (bottom) phase. N4444Br-Gly, Nar, and Neo with recovery yields of 78.12%, 66.61%, and 68.03%, respectively, had been recovered using D101 macroporous resin. This proposed ETPS is efficient and environmentally friendly and is expected to avail meaningful references for the separation of natural products with similar structures.

Abstract:Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are emerging as green and sustainable solvents for efficient extraction of bioactive compounds or drugs. This work aimed to comprehensively evaluate the potential and effectiveness of DESs for extraction of different types of natural compounds from biomass. Five Chinese herbal medicines including Berberidis Radix, Epimedii Folium, Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Rhei Rhizoma et Radix, and Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma were selected to assess the efficiency of DESs on extraction of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, anthraquinones, and phenolic acids, respectively. Totally 43 types of choline chloride-, betaine-, and l-proline-based DESs with different polarity, viscosity, composition, and solubilization abilities were tailored to test their extraction efficiency, and the operation conditions were statistically optimized using response surface methodology to produce the most efficient process. In this work, DES solvents were first introduced to extract alkaloids and anthraquinones. The results indicated that most prepared DESs proved to be efficient solvents for extraction of alkaloids, but lower extractability for anthraquinones. The extraction capacity of DES may be correlated with their physical–chemical properties, including H-bonding interactions, polarity, viscosity, and pH. This study demonstrated that DESs were suitable green extraction solvents for selectively and efficiently extracting bioactive compounds from biomaterials.

Abstract:In this work, a green and practical analytical method based on natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) as extraction agents and nano-liquid chromatography as a separation technique was developed. To demonstrate the applicability of the methodology, alkylphenols and bisphenol A were evaluated as model compounds in olive and sunflower oils as model fatty samples by liquid–liquid microextraction. With this aim, several NADES based on mixtures of choline chloride with glycerol, lactic, ascorbic, and citric acids or glycerol with amino acids were evaluated as potential extraction solvents. In addition, to select the most suitable stationary phase for the separation of this group of contaminants, some stationary phases were tested, including Pinnacle II phenyl, Cogent Bidentate C18TM, and XBridge® C18. The last one provided the best performance with an analysis time of 11 min. To solve the problem of the compatibility of hydrophilic NADES with chromatographic systems without harming the solubility of analytes, different aqueous organic mixtures were tested. Methanol/water mixtures were the most suitable as an injection solvent. Finally, following the White Analytical Chemistry principles, different tools were used to evaluate the greenness, the practicality, and applicability of the method based on the Analytical Eco-Scale, the Analytical GREEnness metric approach, and the Blue Applicability Grade Index.

Capillary Electrophoresis as Tool for Diastereomeric Separation in a Trichilia catigua Fraction

Abstract:Introduction: The tree Trichilia catigua, popularly known as "catuaba", shows several biological activities and has emerged as a potential source of new drugs. Considering that more than 10 species are known under the same popular name, regulatory agencies require more rigorous quality control of this medicinal plant. Objective: To develop and validate a methodology using capillary electrophoresis (CE) with ultraviolet (UV) detection for analysing polyphenols in the ethyl-acetate fraction (EAF) of Trichilia catigua. Methodology: Different electrophoretic conditions (such as wavelength of UV detection, voltage, buffer concentration and pH, cyclodextrin type and concentration) were investigated. After optimisation, borate buffer 80 mmol/L at pH 8.80 with 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin 10 mmol/L was selected as background electrolyte. A voltage reduction was used to improve the separation of a diastereomeric pair of cinchonains. Results: The method proved to be simple, sensitive, accurate, linear, precise and reproducible. For the first time in natural products analysis, a voltage reduction and hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin were used to improve the separation of diastereomeric pairs. Until now, this is the only described methodology able to separate catechin, epicatechin, cinchonains Ia, Ib, IIa, and IIb from Trichilia catigua samples on the same run in less than 12 min. When compared to the high performance liquid chromatography with photo-diode array detection (HPLC-PDA) method previously developed by our research group, the CE method was more efficient, faster, less expensive and less polluting. Conclusion: Our results demonstrate that this method could be employed in a quality-control laboratory for the quantification of polyphenols in EAF of Trichilia catigua.
