Abstract:Objectives: Achieving optimal glycemic outcomes in young children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) is challenging. This study examined the durability of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) coupled with a family behavioral intervention (FBI) to improve glycemia. Study design: This one-year study included an initial 26-week randomized controlled trial of CGM with FBI (CGM+FBI) and CGM alone (Standard-CGM) compared with blood glucose monitoring (BGM), followed by a 26-week extension phase wherein the BGM Group received the CGM+FBI (BGM-Crossover) and both original CGM groups continued this technology. Results: Time in range (70-180 mg/dL) did not improve with CGM use (CGM+FBI: baseline 37%, 52 weeks 41%; Standard-CGM: baseline 41%, 52 weeks 44%; BGM-Crossover: 26 weeks 38%, 52 weeks 40%). All three groups sustained decreases in hypoglycemia (<70 mg/dL) with CGM use (CGM+FBI: baseline 3.4%, 52 weeks 2.0%; Standard-CGM: baseline 4.1%, 52 weeks 2.1%; BGM-Crossover: 26 weeks 4.5%, 52 weeks 1.7%, P-values <.001). Hemoglobin A1c was unchanged with CGM use (CGM+FBI: baseline 8.3%, 52 weeks 8.2%; Standard-CGM: baseline 8.2%, 52 weeks 8.0%; BGM-Crossover: 26 weeks 8.1%, 52 weeks 8.3%). Sensor use remained high (52-week study visit: CGM+FBI 91%, Standard-CGM 92%, BGM-Crossover 88%). Conclusion: Over 12 months young children with T1D using newer CGM technology sustained reductions in hypoglycemia and, in contrast to prior studies, persistently wore CGM. However, pervasive hyperglycemia remained unmitigated. This indicates an urgent need for further advances in diabetes technology, behavioral support, and diabetes management educational approaches to optimize glycemia in young children.

Abstract:Abstract Context Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is increasingly being used both for day-to-day management in patients with diabetes and in clinical research. While data on glycemic profiles of healthy, nondiabetic individuals exist, data on nondiabetic very young children are lacking. Objective This work aimed to establish reference sensor glucose ranges in healthy, nondiabetic young children, using a current-generation CGM sensor. Methods This prospective observational study took place in an institutional practice with healthy, nondiabetic children aged 1 to 6 years with normal body mass index. A blinded Dexcom G6 Pro CGM was worn for approximately 10 days by each participant. Main outcome measures included CGM metrics of mean glucose, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, and glycemic variability. Results Thirty-nine participants were included in the analyses. Mean average glucose was 103 mg/dL (5.7 mmol/L). Median percentage time between 70 and 140 mg/dL (3.9-7.8 mmol/L) was 96% (interquartile range, 92%-97%), mean within-individual coefficient of variation was 17 ± 3%, median time spent with glucose levels greater than 140 mg/dL was 3.4% (49 min/day), and median time less than 70 mg/dL (3.9 mmol/L) was 0.4% (6 min/day). Conclusion Collecting normative sensor glucose data and describing glycemic measures for young children fill an important informational gap and will be useful as a benchmark for future clinical studies.
School-time Hyperglycemia and Prolonged Night-Time Hypoglycemia on Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Children With Type 1 Diabetes

Abstract:Objective: To document glycemic patterns during school and sleep by continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS) in school-going children with type 1 diabetes. To correlate glycemia with meal composition. Methods: Patients with type 1 diabetes (n = 22) aged 4 to 19 years were enrolled. Food recording was taught, and a retrospective CGMS sensor was worn by them for 6 to 14 days. Dietary composition and glycemic patterns during school and sleep were analyzed. Results: The mean (SD) of dietary carbohydrate was 62.9 (9.2)% of daily calories (high) and protein 13 (2.5) % (low). Sensor glucose > 180 mg/dL (hyperglycemia) was detected on 73% of 139 school day CGMS records and involved 58 % of the school time. Sensor glucose < 70 mg/dL (hypoglycemia) was present on 45% of 172 nights. Time below range was 20 (25) %. Mean (SD) protein content (g) of dinner was significantly higher when it included lentil (dal) than without [20.4 (9.7) vs 15.3 (8.3); P < 0.001]. Hypoglycemia occurred less often on nights with vs without dal for dinner (42.1% vs 51.7%; P = 0.048). Conclusions: Hyperglycemia during school hours was notable. The inclusion of lentil (dal) in the night meal in the traditional diet may reduce nocturnal hypoglycemia.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE The discovery of free fetal DNA in plasma of pregnant women has opened a new avenue for non-invasive prenatal diagnosis. We hypothesized that epsilon (ɛ)-globin gene expression could serve as a positive control for the presence of fetal nucleic acid. STUDY DESIGN We measured ɛ-globin mRNA in human fetal tissues and compared concentrations with that measured in adult non-pregnant and pregnant samples. Total RNA was isolated from fetal marrow, liver, blood, and placenta (10-24 weeks gestation), from adult peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and from maternal plasma. RNA was reverse transcribed and quantitative polymerase chain reaction performed for ɛ-globin expression. RESULTS ɛ-globin gene expression was detected in all fetal samples, was detected in plasma of pregnant women, but was negligible in non-pregnant samples. Relative ɛ-globin gene expression was significantly greater in fetal blood compared to fetal liver, and was minimally expressed in placenta. ɛ-globin gene expression decreased at the highest gestational ages in fetal blood, while expression was greatest at 15-19 weeks in fetal marrow. CONCLUSION Fetal ɛ-globin gene expression is significantly greater than adult expression and is increased in maternal plasma compared to non-pregnant samples. ɛ-globin gene expression might serve as a positive control when determining the presence of fetal nucleic acid in total nucleic acid isolated from maternal plasma.

Abstract:Background: Children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) spend more time in school when they turn school age. The impact of such transition on glycemic control remains unclear. We aimed to investigate the impact of school life by comparing the glycemic control between holidays and schooldays in school-aged children with T1D. Methods: This observational study collected data from school aged T1D children with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data from September 20to July 2021. Eligible datasets should include CGM records for at least 3 schooldays and 3 holidays. Data providers’ demographic and lifestyle-related information were collected via questionnaires. We compared the CGM metrics between schooldays and holidays using paired T-test. Results: A total of 78 school aged children with T1D were included (40 boys, median age 9.75 years, median diabetes duration 2.20 years) . 142,945 hours of CGM data were analyzed. Overall, time in range (3.9-7.8 mmol/L, TIR) was better on holidays than that during schooldays [57.0% (SD 15.0%) vs. 55.9% (SD 15.1%) , p = 0.039] and time above range (>7.8mmol/L, TAR) was lower on holidays [35.8% (SD 15.5%) vs. 36.9% (SD 15.5%) , p = 0.085]. No significant difference was observed in time spent <3.9mmol/L or numbers of hypoglycemia events per week. Nocturnal glycemic deterioration could be attributed to a significantly longer nighttime (0am to 6am) TIR [60.4% (SD 17.1%) vs. 56.9% (SD 18.1%) , p = 0.001] and a shorter nighttime TAR [31.8% (SD 17.5%) vs. 35.6% (SD 18.5%) , p = 0.001] on holidays compared with those on schooldays, with no difference in daytime metrics. Stratified analysis revealed the nocturnal difference was more prone to children aged 6 to years, girls, and insulin pump users, while bedtime and midnight snacks had no impact. Conclusion: Among school-aged children with T1D, deterioration in nocturnal glycemic control was found in schooldays and active adjustment in treatment is needed to improve schooldays glycemia. Abstract:AIMS: The objective of this nationwide population-based cohort study was to evaluate the correlation between continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) use and glucose variability in pre-schoolers with type 1 diabetes.METHODS: We analysed data from the Slovenian National Registry. The primary endpoint was the difference in glucose variability between periods, during which participants were using CGM and periods, during which CGM was not used, over 5 years.RESULTS: A total of 40 children <8 years old were followed for an estimated observational period of 116 patient/years. Mean age at CGM initiation was 3.5 (±1.7) years. Both standard deviation of mean glucose [3.6 mmol/L (3.2-3.9) with CGM and 4.3 mmol/L (3.8-4.7) without CGM, p < 0.001] and coefficient of variation [44.0% (40.4-47.0) with CGM and 46.1% (42.3-49.4) without CGM, p = 0.021] were lower during the periods, when CGM was used. Frequent CGM use (>5 days/week) was associated with a 0.4% [4.4 mmol/mol] reduction in glycated haemoglobin level (7.6% compared to 7.2%, p = 0.047).CONCLUSIONS: Our results indicate that the use of CGM was associated with reduced glucose variability during a 5 year follow-up period among pre-schoolers with type 1 diabetes.TRIAL REGISTRATION: Clinicaltrials.gov: NCT-03293082.

Abstract:Aims: Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems are standard of care for youth with type 1 diabetes with the goal of spending >70% time in range (TIR; 70-180 mg/dL, 3.9-10 mmol/L). We aimed to understand paediatric CGM user experiences with TIR metrics considering recent discussion of shifting to time in tight range (TITR; >50% time between 70 and 140 mg/dL, 3.9 and 7.8 mmol/L). Methods: Semi-structured interviews and focus groups with adolescents with type 1 diabetes and parents of youth with type 1 diabetes focused on experiences with TIR goals and reactions to TITR. Groups and interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed and analysed using content analysis. Results: Thirty participants (N = 19 parents: age 43.6 ± 5.3 years, 79% female, 47% non-Hispanic White, 20 ± 5 months since child's diagnosis; N = 11 adolescents: age 15.3 ± 2 years, 55% female, 55% non-Hispanic White, 16 ± 3 months since diagnosis) attended. Participants had varying levels of understanding of TIR. Some developed personally preferred glucose ranges. Parents often aimed to surpass 70% TIR. Many described feelings of stress and disappointment when they did not meet a TIR goal. Concerns about TITR included increased stress and burden; risk of hypoglycaemia; and family conflict. Some participants said TITR would not change their daily lives; others said it would improve their diabetes management. Families requested care team support and a clear scientific rationale for TITR. Conclusions: The wealth of CGM data creates frequent opportunities for assessing diabetes management and carries implications for management burden. Input from people with type 1 diabetes and their families will be critical in considering a shift in glycaemic goals and targets.

Abstract:Background: Youth with type 2 diabetes (T2D) develop early treatment failure. Most patients do not self-monitor blood glucose (SMBG) levels at recommended frequency. Continuous glucose monitor (CGM) has been shown to improve glycemic control in pediatric T1D and adult T2D. Its feasibility and efficacy in youth-onset T2D is unknown. Hypothesis: Participants who wear the CGM >85% of the time will lower their HbA1c by at least 0.5%. Methods: T2D patients prescribed insulin were eligible to participate if their HbA1c was at least 8%. Participants were randomized to 3-months of SMBG or Dexcom G6 CGM, followed by 3 months of washout (SMBG) and 3-month crossover to the other treatment arm. Participants and their clinical providers agreed to not start new diabetes medications but could adjust insulin dosing or add on rapid-acting insulin if HbA1c >9% at follow-up. A nurse care manager provided coaching for the first 30 days of CGM use. The CGM-SAT satisfaction survey was administered at the end of CGM wear. Student t-test and Fisher’s exact test were used to compare differences in continuous and categorical variables between groups, respectively. A 5% level of significance was used. Results: out of 14 participants completed the study. Our cohort was 55% female. At enrollment, mean age was 17.4±2.0 years, diagnosis duration was 4.0±2.8 years, and HbA1c was 11.5±2.5%. The percentage of days with CGM data trended from 89% down to 73% between the 1st and 3rd month of CGM use (not statistically significant) . CGM use lowered HbA1c by 2.8% for the cohort (SMBG: -0.1%, CGM: -3.1%, P=0.005) and by 3.8% for those who wore the CGM >85% of the time (P=0.01) . The mean CGM item score was 3.7 ± 0.5, comparable to prior results reported in T1D youth. Conclusion: Consistent CGM use improves glycemic control in youth-onset type 2 diabetes in this pilot study. Not all patients experienced an improvement in HbA1c. A larger study is warranted to validate the findings of this study and to identify patients who are most likely to benefit from CGM use. Abstract:Aim: Managing type 1 diabetes in young children can cause significant stress for parents. Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) may reduce parental burden. The Strategies to Enhance CGM Use in Early Childhood (SENCE) trial randomized parents of children (ages 2 to <8 years) with type 1 diabetes to CGM with family behavioural intervention (CGM + FBI), CGM alone (Standard-CGM) or blood glucose monitoring for 26 weeks before receiving CGM + FBI (BGM-Crossover). This report assesses changes in psychosocial outcomes for all groups over 52 weeks. Methods: CGM + FBI (n = 45), Standard-CGM (n = 42) and BGM-Crossover (n = 44) participants completed psychosocial assessments at baseline, 26 weeks and 52 weeks. Repeated measures linear regression models evaluated change within and between treatment groups. Results: The BGM-Crossover group reported improved diabetes burden (Δ -6.9, 95% CI [-11.3, -2.6], p = 0.003), fear of hypoglycaemia (Δ -6.4, CI [-10.1, -2.6], p = 0.002) and technology satisfaction (Δ 7.3, CI [2.4, 12.2], p = 0.005) from 26 to 52 weeks, similar to published findings in the CGM + FBI group over the first 26 weeks. The Standard-CGM group reported increased technology satisfaction (Δ 7.3, CI [0.6, 14.0], p = 0.027) from baseline to 52 weeks. The CGM + FBI group reported less diabetes burden and fear of hypoglycaemia from baseline to 52 weeks, but changes were not statistically significant. Scores from 26 to 52 weeks did not deteriorate. Conclusions: Parents demonstrated psychosocial benefits following FBI that appeared to maintain without additional intervention. CGM-focused education with behavioural support likely helps parents of young children with type 1 diabetes reduce burden and worry in the short- and long-term.
Situational Awareness and Proactive Engagement Predict Higher Time in Range in Adolescents and Young Adults Using Hybrid Closed-Loop

Abstract:Background. Adolescents and young adults with type 1 diabetes have high HbA1c levels and often struggle with self-management behaviors and attention to diabetes care. Hybrid closed-loop systems (HCL) like the t:slim X2 with Control-IQ technology (Control-IQ) can help improve glycemic control. The purpose of this study is to assess adolescents’ situational awareness of their glucose control and engagement with the Control-IQ system to determine significant factors in daily glycemic control. Methods. Adolescents (15–25 years) using Control-IQ participated in a 2-week prospective study, gathering detailed information about Control-IQ system engagements (boluses, alerts, and so on) and asking the participants’ age and gender about their awareness of glucose levels 2-3 times/day without checking. Mixed models assessed which behaviors and awareness items correlated with time in range (TIR, 70–180 mg/dl, 3.9–10.0 mmol/L). Results. Eighteen adolescents/young adults (mean age 18 ± 1.86 years and 86% White non-Hispanic) completed the study. Situational awareness of glucose levels did not correlate with time since the last glucose check ( p = 0.8 ). In multivariable modeling, lower TIR was predicted on days when adolescents underestimated their glucose levels (r = −0.22), received more CGM alerts (r = −0.31), and had more pump engagements (r = −0.27). A higher TIR was predicted when adolescents responded to CGM alerts (r = 0.20) and entered carbohydrates into the bolus calculator (r = 0.49). Conclusion. Situational awareness is an independent predictor of TIR and may provide insight into patterns of attention and focus that could positively influence glycemic outcomes in adolescents. Proactive engagements predict better TIR, whereas reactive engagement predicted lower TIR. Future interventions could be designed to train users to develop awareness and expertise in effective diabetes self-management.

Abstract:Aims: Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) metrics can assist diabetes management. Consensus statements recommend > 70 % time in range (TIR) and ≤ 36 % glucose coefficient of variation (CV). However, how these targets perform in clinical practice is unknown. This retrospective, longitudinal cohort study analyzed relationships between TIR, CV, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and hypoglycemia in a real-world setting. Methods: Data of 542 adults with type 1 diabetes who used CGM (January 2014-July 2020) were analyzed. Associations between TIR and HbA1c at the same and subsequent visits, incidence rate ratios (IRRs) for hypoglycemia at different CVs, and number of hypoglycemic events at cross-sections of HbA1c and CV were estimated by regression. Results: TIR was inversely related to HbA1c; for every 10 % increase in TIR, HbA1c was significantly reduced by 0.34 % (4 mmol/mol) and 0.20 % (2 mmol/mol) at the same and subsequent visits, respectively. Level 2 hypoglycemia was significantly reduced at CV < 30 %, 30-33 %, 33.1-36 %, and 36.1-40 %: adjusted IRRs vs CV ≥ 40.1 % of 0.14, 0.28, 0.32, and 0.50, respectively. Hypoglycemic events were reduced at lower CV across HbA1c levels and at higher HbA1c across CV levels. Conclusion: This study quantifies HbA1c improvements with increased TIR and hypoglycemia reductions with improved CV in clinical practice.

Abstract:Aims In this study, we aimed to analyze the possible change in Time In Range (TIR) in subjects with type 1 diabetes (T1D) using the Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP) and to identify the main socio-demographic and clinical predictors of sustained use. Methods 143 youths wearing instant-scanning CGM received structured counseling on the AGP report interpretation, and who were able to use AGP at least every 14 days were enrolled in group A (n = 100), whereas no users were considered as group B (n = 43). Socio-demographic data at the enrollment, clinical data, and glucose metrics were collected at baseline and during quarterly consultations. Metabolic outcomes were evaluated during follow-up, and a comparison between groups A and B was performed. Results In group A compared to group B, at 12 months, the percentage of sensor usage and TIR were higher (p = 0.04 and p = 0.02), and Time Above Range and HbA1c were lower (p = 0.0004, p < 0.0001, respectively). Multiple logistic regression analysis did not show a significant relationship between sustained AGP software usage and the variables analyzed. Conclusions Systematic use of the AGP software was feasible and showed improved metabolic control in youths with T1D. This may be related to increased sensor usage and more informed decisions.

Abstract:Aim Hypoglycaemic events are linked to microvascular and macrovascular complications in people with type 1 diabetes. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of glucose sensor [real‐time continuous glucose monitoring (RT‐CGM)] with predictive alarm (PA) in reducing the time spent below the range (%TBR <70 mg/dl) in a group of adolescents with type 1 diabetes (AwD). Materials and Methods This was a crossover, monocentric and randomized study. RT‐CGM was set with Alarm on Threshold (AoT) at 70 mg/dl) or PA for hypoglycaemia (20 m before threshold). Twenty AwD were enrolled and randomized to either a PA/AoT or AoT/PA treatment sequence, in a 1:1 ratio. The two groups (PA vs. AoT) were compared using two‐way repeated measures ANOVA taking account of the carryover effect. Abstract:Objective: Individuals with type 1 diabetes (T1D) have increased risk for cognitive dysfunction and high rates of sleep disturbance. Despite associations between glycemia and cognitive performance using cross-sectional and experimental methods few studies have evaluated this relationship in a naturalistic setting, or the impact of nocturnal versus daytime hypoglycemia. Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) may provide insight into the dynamic associations between cognition, affective, and physiological states. The current study couples EMA data with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) to examine the within-person impact of nocturnal glycemia on next day cognitive performance in adults with T1D. Due to high rates of sleep disturbance and emotional distress in people with T1D, the potential impacts of sleep characteristics and negative affect were also evaluated. Methods: This pilot study utilized EMA in 18 adults with T1D to examine the impact of glycemic excursions, measured using CGM, on cognitive performance, measured via mobile cognitive assessment using the TestMyBrain platform. Multilevel modeling was used to test the within-person effects of nocturnal hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia on next day cognition. Results: Results indicated that increases in nocturnal hypoglycemia were associated with slower next day processing speed. This association was not significantly attenuated by negative affect, sleepiness, or sleep quality. Conclusions: These results, while preliminary due to small sample size, showcase the power of intensive longitudinal designs using ambulatory cognitive assessment to uncover novel determinants of cognitive fluctuation in real world settings, an approach that may be utilized in other populations. Findings suggest reducing nocturnal hypoglycemia may improve cognition in adults with T1D.

Abstract:Adolescents with type 1 diabetes face self-management challenges that make it difficult for them to achieve good glycemic control. In our population of adolescents with poorly controlled type 1 diabetes, the use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) improved patients’ glycemic time in range (TIR) and identified hypoglycemia more frequently than with intermittent self-monitoring of blood glucose throughout a 4-week interval. However, the adolescents were unable to synthesize this information to problem-solve or reduce the frequency of hypoglycemic events. Setting SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound) diabetes management goals and providing intensive diabetes education and support could increase adolescents’ TIR and prevent hypoglycemia.

Abstract:Introduction: Demographic and medical factors influencing AID AM use were evaluated to better understand inequities in glycemic outcomes among youth with T1D. Methods: Retrospective chart review was conducted for 74 youth with T1D who started AID between 12/1/2022 to 5/31/2023 to examine time spent in AM 0-3 and 3-6 months after AID initiation. Mixed effects models assessed age, T1D duration, sex, race/ethnicity, insurance, AID system and input, and CGM metrics’ impact on time spent in AM. X2 and Mann Whitney U tests assessed for differences between youth with optimal (<u>></u>90%) and suboptimal (<90%) time spent in AM. Results: Demographic and glycemic characteristics are described in Table 1. Race/ethnicity differed significantly among optimal and suboptimal AID use with NHB youth more likely to have suboptimal use (3mo p<.05, 6mo<0.001). Youth with optimal AID use had better glycemic outcomes at 3 and 6 months versus suboptimal use. Mixed effects models demonstrated that AID system type (p<.05) was predictive of optimal AM use at 3 months. Younger age at pump start, longer duration of T1D, more boluses/day, and higher % CGM wear time (all p’s <.05) were associated with higher AID use at 6 months. Conclusions: Youth with optimal AID use had significantly better glycemic outcomes. Efforts to address individual level AID use and barriers can help to promote optimal AM use and improve health outcomes for all youth living with T1D. Disclosure J. Abstract:BACKGROUND. Hypoglycemia and fear of hypoglycemia remain critical problems in the treatment of adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM1) and are factors limiting proper control of glycemia and preventing the achievement of metabolic compensation of the disease. The use of pump insulin therapy involves the prevention of hypoglycemic conditions. AIM. To analyze the frequency and duration of hypoglycemia episodes, their effect on the metabolic compensation of the disease in adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM1) in real clinical practice, depending on the mode/method of insulin administration. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The study involved 117 adolescents with DM1 aged 12 to 19 years (average age 15.5 years). 37 adolescents received therapy by continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII); 80 adolescents received therapy by multiple insulin injections (MII). The level of glycated hemoglobin (HbA 1c ) was determined for all adolescents, and its main indicators were evaluated using a 6 days continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) by the «blind» method of a professional system with an iPro 2 sensor (Medtronic MiniMed, USA). RESULTS. Episodes of a decrease in glucose levels <3,9 mmol/l were recorded in 87% of patients (n=102), 63% (n=74) showed a decrease in glucose levels <3,0 mmol/l. Episodes decrease in glucose levels <3,9 mmol/l at night were recorded in 68% of patients (n=80), and with glucose levels <3,9 mmol/l in 46% (n=54). The frequency of episodes of glucose lowering <3,9 mmol/l had no statistically significant differences depending on the methods of insulin administration (by continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion or multiple insulin injections), however, they are more common in adolescents with HbA 1c <7,0% (p=0,03). The median time spent by patients in the range of <3,9 mmol/l was 5% per day, and a longer time in this range was observed in patients with HbA 1c <7,0% (p=0,006). The median time in the range of <3,0 mmol/l was 1% per day and had no significant differences depending on the level of HbA 1c (p=0,559). There were also no significant differences depending on the groups using CSII and MII (p=0,640 and p=0,250). CONCLUSION. Episodes of glucose reduction in the range of <3,9 mmol/l according to CGM data are more common in adolescents with HbA 1c target values, regardless of the method of insulin administration. Significantly more time in range of <3,9 mmol/l is spent by adolescents with target values of HbA 1c i.е. <7,0% compared with HbA 1c ≥7,0%, however, in both groups, a large number of patients had time in the range below the target level was higher than recommended values.
