Abstract:This paper is concerned with the Poisson transform of differential forms on the hyperbolic space $H^n(\mathbb R)$. Consider an integer $p$ such that $1\leqslant p\leqslant n$ and let $q$ be either $p-1$ or $p$. For $1<r<\infty$, we prove that the Poisson transform is a topological isomorphism from the space of $L^r$-differential $q$-forms on the boundary $\partial H^n(\mathbb R)$ onto a Hardy-type subspace of $p$-eigenforms of the Hodge-de Rham Laplacian on $H^n(\mathbb R)$.

Abstract:We develop the notions of multiplicative Lie conformal and Poisson vertex algebras, local and non-local, and their connections to the theory of integrable differential-difference Hamiltonian equations. We establish relations of these notions to q-deformed W-algebras and lattice Poisson algebras. We introduce the notion of Adler type pseudodifference operators and apply them to integrability of differential-difference Hamiltonian equations.

Abstract:Poisson structures related to affine Courant-type algebroids are analyzed, including those related with cotangent bundles on Lie-group manifolds. Special attention is paid to Courant-type algebroids and their related R structures generated by suitably defined tensor mappings. Lie–Poisson brackets that are invariant with respect to the coadjoint action of the loop diffeomorphism group are created, and the related Courant-type algebroids are described. The corresponding integrable Hamiltonian flows generated by Casimir functionals and generalizing so-called heavenly-type differential systems describing diverse geometric structures of conformal type in finite dimensional Riemannian manifolds are described.

Abstract:In this paper we construct a Poisson algebra bundle whose distributional sections are suitable to represent multilocal observables in classical field theory. To do this, we work with vector bundles over the unordered configuration space of a manifold $M$ and consider the structure of a $2$-monoidal category given by the usual (Hadamard) tensor product of bundles and a new (Cauchy) tensor product which provides a symmetrized version of the usual external tensor product of vector bundles on $M$. We use the symmetric algebras with respect to both products to obtain a Poisson 2-algebra bundle mimicking the construction of Peierls bracket from the causal propagator in field theory. The explicit description of observables from this Poisson algebra bundle will be carried out in a forthcoming paper.

Abstract:We begin with a short presentation of the basic concepts related to Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids, but the main part of this paper deals with Lie algebroids. A Lie algebroid over a manifold is a vector bundle over that manifold whose properties are very similar to those of a tangent bundle. Its dual bundle has properties very similar to those of a cotangent bundle: in the graded algebra of sections of its external powers, one can define an operator similar to the exterior derivative. We present the theory of Lie derivatives, Schouten-Nijenhuis brackets and exterior derivatives in the general setting of a Lie algebroid, its dual bundle and their exterior powers. All the results (which, for their most part, are already known) are given with detailed proofs. In the final sections, the results are applied to Poisson manifolds, whose links with Lie algebroids are very close.

Abstract:We introduce a theory of non-commutative $L^{p}$ spaces suitable for non-commutative probability in a non-tracial setting and use it to develop stochastic analysis of Grassmann-valued processes, including martingale inequalities, stochastic integrals with respect to Grassmann Itô processes, Girsanov's formula and a weak formulation of Grassmann SDEs. We apply this new setting to the construction of several unbounded random variables including a Grassmann analog of the $\Phi^{4}_{2}$ Euclidean QFT in a bounded region and weak solution to singular SPDEs in the spirit of the early work of Jona-Lasinio and Mitter on the stochastic quantisation of $\Phi^{4}_{2}$.

Abstract:We study the differential operator $A=\frac{d^4}{dx^4}$ acting on a connected network $\mathcal{G}$ along with $\mathcal L^2$, the square of the discrete Laplacian acting on a connected discrete graph $\mathsf{G}$. For both operators we discuss well-posedness of the associated {linear} parabolic problems \[ \frac{\partial u}{\partial t}=-Au,\qquad\frac{df}{dt}=-\mathcal L^2 f, \] on $L^p(\mathcal{G})$ or $\ell^p(\mathsf{V})$, respectively, for $1\leq p\leq\infty$. In view of the well-known lack of parabolic maximum principle for all elliptic differential operators of order $2N$ for $N>1$, our most surprising finding is that, after some transient time, the parabolic equations driven by $-A$ may display Markovian features, depending on the imposed transmission conditions in the vertices. Analogous results seem to be unknown in the case of general domains and even bounded intervals. Our analysis is based on a detailed study of bi-harmonic functions complemented by simple combinatorial arguments. We elaborate on analogous issues for the discrete bi-Laplacian; a characterization of complete graphs in terms of the Markovian property of the semigroup generated by $-\mathcal L^2$ is also presented.

Abstract:In this paper we prove characterizations of the discrete Besov spaces in terms of the heat and Poisson semigroups associated with the discrete Laplacian that will allow us to prove regularity results for the fractional powers of the discrete Laplacian and the discrete Bessel potentials. Moreover, we provide new estimates for the derivatives of the discrete heat kernel and semigroup which are of independent interest.

Poisson geometry of the infinite Toda lattice

Abstract:Many important conservative systems have a non canonical Hamiltonian formulation in terms of Lie-Poisson brackets. For integrable systems, this is usually the first of two or more compatible brackets. With few notable exceptions, such as the Euler, Poisson-Vlasov, KdV, or sine-Gordon equations, for example, for infinite dimensional systems this Lie-Poisson bracket formulation is mostly formal. It is our belief that these formal approaches can be given a solid functional analytic underpinning. The present paper formulates such an approach for the infinite Toda lattice. It raises fundamental issues about the nature of coadjoint orbits for certain Banach Lie groups and it poses questions about the nature of the integrability of the Toda lattice in infinite dimensions by providing a functional analytic framework in which these problems can be rigorously formulated. The background of the present work is the paper by Odzijewicz and Ratiu [2003] where the theory of Banach Lie-Poisson spaces was developed. The paper is organized as follows. Section 2 recalls the minimal necessary material from the aforementioned paper necessary for this work. Section 3 introduces the Banach Lie group of upper bidiagonal bounded operators and discusses the Lie-Poisson structure on the predual of its Lie algebra, the Banach space of lower bidiagonal trace class operators. Generic coadjoint orbits of this group are studied in detail in Section 3. The

Abstract:Perturbations of super Poincaré and weak Poincaré inequalities for Lévy type Dirichlet forms are studied. When the range of jumps is finite our results are natural extensions to the corresponding ones derived earlier for diffusion processes; and we show that the study for the situation with infinite range of jumps is essentially different. Some examples are presented to illustrate the optimality of our results.

Abstract:We investigate some basic questions concerning the relationship between the restricted Grassmannian and the theory of Banach Lie–Poisson spaces. By using universal central extensions of Lie algebras, we find that the restricted Grassmannian is symplectomorphic to symplectic leaves in certain Banach Lie–Poisson spaces, and the underlying Banach space can be chosen to be even a Hilbert space. Smoothness of numerous adjoint and coadjoint orbits of the restricted unitary group is also established. Several pathological properties of the restricted algebra are pointed out.

Abstract:In analogy to the KP theory, the second Poisson structure for the dispersionless KP hierarchy can be defined on the space of commutative pseudodifferential operators L = p^n + ∑_j = - ∞^n - 1u_j p^j . The reduction of the Poisson structure to the symplectic submanifold u_n - 1 = 0 gives rise to W-algebras. In this Letter, we discuss properties of this Poisson structure, its Miura transformation and reductions. We are particularly interested in the following two cases: (a) L is pure polynomial in p with multiple roots and (b) L has multiple poles at finite distance. The w-algebra corresponding to the case (a) is defined as w_[ m_1 ,m_2 , ··· ,m_r ] , where m_i means the multiplicity of roots and to the case (b) is defined by w( n,[ m_1 ,m_2 , ··· ,m_r ]) where m_i is the multiplicity of poles. We prove that w( n,[ m_1 ,m_2 , ··· ,m_r ]) -algebra is isomorphic via a transformation to W_[ m_i ,m_2 , ··· ,m_r ] ⊕ w_n + m ⊕ U(1) with m=σ m_i . We also give the explicit free fields representations for these W-algebras.

Abstract:Let Q denote a smooth manifold acted upon smoothly by a Lie group G. The G-action lifts to an action on the total space T*Q of the cotangent bundle of Q and hence on the standard symplectic Poisson algebra of smooth functions on T*Q. The Poisson algebra of G-invariant functions on T*Q yields a Poisson structure on the space (T*Q)/G of G-orbits. We relate this Poisson algebra with extensions of Lie-Rinehart algebras and derive an explicit formula for this Poisson structure in terms of differentials. We then show, for the particular case where the G-action on Q is principal, how an explicit description of the Poisson algebra derived in the literature by an ad hoc construction is essentially a special case of the formula for the corresponding extension of Lie-Rinehart algebras. By means of various examples, we also show that this kind of description breaks down when the G-action does not define a principal bundle.

Abstract:We study the shifted analogue of the “Lie–Poisson” construction for L_∞ algebroids and we prove that any L_∞ algebroid naturally gives rise to shifted derived Poisson manifolds. We also investigate derived Poisson structures from a purely algebraic perspective and, in particular, we establish a homotopy transfer theorem for derived Poisson algebras. As an application, we prove that, given a Lie pair ( L , A ), the space totΩ ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)) admits a degree (+1) derived Poisson algebra structure with the wedge product as associative multiplication and the Chevalley–Eilenberg differential d_A^Bott:Ω ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A))→Ω ^∙ +1_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)) as unary L_∞ bracket. This degree (+1) derived Poisson algebra structure on totΩ ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)) is unique up to an isomorphism having the identity map as first Taylor coefficient. Consequently, the Chevalley–Eilenberg hypercohomology ℍ( tot Ω ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)),d_A^Bott) admits a canonical Gerstenhaber algebra structure.

Abstract:We study the discrete version of the $p$-Laplacian. Based on its variational properties we discuss some features of the associated parabolic problem. Our approach allows us in turn to obtain interesting information about positivity and comparison principles as well as compatibility with the symmetries of the graph. We conclude briefly discussing the variational properties of a handful of nonlinear generalized Laplacians appearing in different parabolic equations.
