Abstract:A one-step ultrasound/microwave-assisted solid-liquid-solid dispersive extraction procedure was used for the simultaneous determination of eight neonicotinoids (dinotefuran, nitenpyram, thiamethoxam, clothianidin, imidacloprid, acetamiprid, thiacloprid, imidaclothiz) in dried Dendrobium officinale by liquid chromatography combined with electrospray ionization triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry in multiple reaction monitoring mode. The samples were quickly extracted by acetonitrile and cleaned up by the mixed dispersing sorbents including primary secondary amine, C-18, and carbon-GCB. Parameters that could influence the ultrasound/microwave-assisted extraction efficiency such as microwave irradiation power, ultrasound irradiation power, temperature, and solvent were investigated. Recovery studies were performing well (70.4-113.7%) at three examined spiking levels (10, 50, and 100 mu g/kg). Meanwhile, the limits of quantification for the neonicotinoids ranged from 0.87 to 1.92 mu g/kg. The method showed good linearity in the concentration range of 1-100 mu g/L with correlation coefficients >0.99. This quick and useful analytical method could provide a basis for monitoring neonicotinoid insecticide residues in herbs.
Modified QuEChERS Method for Extracting Thiamethoxam and Imidacloprid from Stingless Bees: Development, Application, and Green Metrics

Abstract:In the present study, a method for the determination of residues of the neonicotinoid insecticides thiamethoxam and imidacloprid in the stingless bee Melipona scutellaris Latreille (1811) was optimized through a factorial design, tested using green metrics, and then applied to exposed bees. It combines the extraction with a modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe method and the determination by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry analysis. Different parameters such as the mass of the sample, dispersive sorbents, and elution solvents were assessed. Method validation parameters were checked and include sensitivity, specificity, and linearity. The limit of quantification of 0.0025 μg g-1 was obtained for both insecticides, where accuracy was 94%-100% with satisfactory intraday and interday precisions (relative standard deviation <10%). The qualified method was applied to orally and topically exposed bee samples, and the results indicated that it is suitable for the determination and quantification of neonicotinoid pesticide residues in this species. Moreover, green analytical metrics like the National Environmental Methods Index, Eco Scale score, high-performance liquid chromatography with an environmental assessment tool (HPLC-EAT), waste generation, and amount of sample were compared with methods described in the literature involving neonicotinoid analysis in honeybees. As a result, the present study displayed the highest Eco Scale score and HPLC-EAT score and the second smallest amount of sample and waste generated. Thus, the method meets green analytical metrics more than other methods. In this sense, besides the application, the multicriteria decision analysis tool employed suggests that this is a good option as a green analytical method. Matrix-Induced Sugaring-Out: A Simple and Rapid Sample Preparation Method for the Determination of Neonicotinoid Pesticides in Honey

Abstract:In the present work, we developed a simple and rapid sample preparation method for the determination of neonicotinoid pesticides in honey based on the matrix-induced sugaring-out. Since there is a high concentration of sugars in the honey matrix, the honey samples were mixed directly with acetonitrile (ACN)-water mixture to trigger the phase separation. Analytes were extracted into the upper ACN phase without additional phase separation agents and injected into the HPLC system for the analysis. Parameters of this matrix-induced sugaring-out method were systematically investigated. The optimal protocol involves 2 g honey mixed with 4 mL ACN-water mixture (v/v, 60:40). In addition, this simple sample preparation method was compared with two other ACN-water-based homogenous liquid-liquid extraction methods, including salting-out assisted liquid-liquid extraction and subzero-temperature assisted liquid-liquid extraction. The present method was fully validated, the obtained limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) were from 21 to 27 and 70 to 90 μg/kg, respectively. Average recoveries at three spiked levels were in the range of 91.49% to 97.73%. Precision expressed as relative standard deviations (RSDs) in the inter-day and intra-day analysis were all lower than 5%. Finally, the developed method was applied for the analysis of eight honey samples, results showed that none of the target neonicotinoid residues were detected.

Abstract:An overview of the actual state-of-the-art sample treatment procedures for trace and ultra-trace determination of neonicotinoids (NQs) in environmental, food and biological samples is presented. Analytical procedures for NQs, sometimes together with their metabolites/by-products, and NQ-related new generation pesticides have been considered, focusing on sample preparation, which is essential in most cases due to both the complexity of the matrices and low concentrations of residual analytes. Different strategies have been practised for analytes extraction/preconcentration/cleanup, entailing various techniques as solid-liquid extraction (SLE), liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), offline and online solid-phase extraction (SPE), dispersive SPE (d-SPE), magnetic SPE (MSPE), solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and the quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe (QuEChERS) approach. New solid phases, including inorganic and carbon-based materials, have been prepared, also starting from “green” precursors, and successfully employed in the sample treatment step before hyphenated liquid chromatography or direct electrochemical detection. As well, new environmentally friendly solvents have been evaluated for LLE. The most recent studies (2022-present), around 50 papers, have been reviewed by matrix type, briefly described and commented concerning extraction efficiency, matrix effect, sensitivity, ease of application and sample throughput. Advantages and drawbacks were highlighted, as well as new achievements paving the way for further improvements.

Abstract:A rapid and simple method for simultaneous analysis of four neonicotinoid insecticides including acetamiprid, imidacloprid, thiacloprid and thiamethoxam in fruit and vegetable matrices has been developed. For instance, ready-to-use cartridges filled with a macroporous diatomaceous material were used to extract in a single step insecticide residues with dichloromethane from aqueous-acetone extracts of fruits and vegetables. The eluate was evaporated, the residue redissolved with methanol and then analyzed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry in the electrospray ionization (ESI) positive mode. Average recoveries of the four pesticides were between 74.5 and 105% at both spiking levels 0.1 and 1.0 mg kg(-1) in peach, pear, courgette, celery and apricot. Relative standard deviations (RSDs) were less than 10% for all of the recovery tests. The calculated limits of quantitation (LOQs) (0.1-0.5 mg kg(-1)) were equal or lower then the maximum residue limits (MRLs) established by European legislation (0.1-0.5 mg kg(-1)). The proposed method is fast, easy to perform and could be utilized for monitoring of pesticides residues.

Fast neonicotinoid quantification in honey using the one-point internal calibration approach

Abstract:Neonicotinoids, a highly effective class of insecticides used worldwide, have been identified as a major cause of concern for biodiversity. To assess the ecological and environmental consequences of neonicotinoids' use, reliable analytical methodologies, including calibration approaches, are needed. Here, we compared the performance of internal calibration (IC) using a single concentration of stable isotope-labeled standard (SIL) with classical multipoint external calibration (EC) for the quantification of six neonicotinoids in honey. IC showed acceptable levels of trueness (86.3% - 116.0%) and precision (1.4% - 20.8%), although slight biases were observed at very low concentrations compared to EC. When applied to 32 original honey samples, both approaches showed strong agreement (R2 > 0.998) with proportional biases lower than 5%. These results highlight the possibility of implementing IC to simplify quantification in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry-based pesticide applications.

Abstract:Non-targeted screening (e.g., suspected-target) is emerging as an attractive tool to investigate the occurrence of contaminants in food. The sample preparation and instrument analysis steps are known to influence the identification of analytes with non-targeted workflows, especially for complex matrices. However, for methods based on mass spectrometry, the impact of the post-analysis data treatment (e.g., feature extraction) on the capacity to correctly identify a contaminant at trace level is currently not well understood. The aim of the study was to investigate the influence of seven post-analysis data treatment parameters on the non-targeted identification of trace contaminants in honey using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to hybrid quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-QTOF-MS). Seven compounds reported as veterinary drugs for honeybees were applied as model compounds. Among the parameters studied, the expansion window for chromatogram extraction and the average scans included in the spectra influenced significantly the identification process results. The optimized data treatment was applied to the non-targeted screening of veterinary drugs, pesticides, and other contaminants in 55 honey samples as a proof of concept. Among the 43 compounds included in a library of honey-related compounds that was used for screening, eight compounds were tentatively identified in at least one honey sample. The tentative identity of two of these compounds (tylosin A and hydroxymethylfurfural) was further confirmed with analytical standards.Graphical Abstract

Abstract:Alcohol-use disorders (AUD’s) commonly occur in people with other severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, and can exacerbate their psychiatric, medical, and family problems. Therefore, to improve detection of alcohol-related problems, establish correct AUD diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment plans, it is important to thoroughly assess severely mentally ill patients for alcohol and other drug abuse. Several recent studies have indicated that integrated treatment approaches that combine AUD and mental health interventions in comprehensive, long-term, and stagewise programs may be most effective for these clients.

Abstract:A simple cloud-point extraction coupled to in-situ metathesis reaction of deep eutectic solvents method followed by high-performance liquid chromatography for rapid determination of neonicotinoid insecticide residues (i.e. thiamethoxam, clothianidin, imidacloprid, and thiacloprid) was developed. The method is based on the use of deep eutectic solvents (choline chloride – phenol) as disperser solvent and Triton X-114 as extraction solvent. Various experimental parameters affecting the extraction efficiency such as salts addition, types and concentrations of surfactant, concentrations of hydrogen bond donor and hydrogen bond acceptor were investigated and optimized. Four neonicotinoid insecticides were separated within 9 min using monolithic column, with a mobile phase of 26% (v/v) acetonitrile in water, at a flow rate of 1.0 mL min–1, and photodiode array detection at 254 nm. Under the optimum conditions, wide linear range (1–1000 μg L−1), high enrichment factors (EF) (50–250) and low limits of detection (0.3–1.0 μg L−1) were obtained. The proposed method was successfully applied to determine neonicotinoid insecticide residues in surface water, soil and urine samples and high recoveries (80–115%) were obtained.

Abstract:Neonicotinoids are broad-spectrum and highly effective insecticides that work by affecting neural activity in insects. Neonicotinoids are systemic pesticides that are absorbed by plants, transported, and accumulated in plant tissues, including nectar and pollen. Currently, there is a lack of a comprehensive assessment of the level of neonicotinoid contamination and the associated health risks to non-targeted organisms in commercial honey and pollen produced in China. This study collected 160 batches of honey and 26 batches of pollen from different regions and plant sources in China, analyzed the residue patterns of neonicotinoid pesticides, and comprehensively evaluated the exposure risks to non-targeted organisms including bees (adults and larvae) and humans. Furthermore, this study addresses this imperative by establishing a high-throughput, rapid, and ultra-sensitive indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ( ic -ELISA) based on broad-spectrum monoclonal antibodies to detect and quantify neonicotinoids, with validation conducted using the LC-MS/MS method. The findings indicated that 59.4 % of honey samples contained at least one of eight neonicotinoids, and the ic -ELISA rapid detection and calculation method could detect all the samples containing neonicotinoids. Additionally, the dietary risk assessment for humans and honeybees indicates that the consumption of a specific quantity of honey may not pose a health risk to human due to neonicotinoid intake. However, the Risk Quotient values for imidacloprid to adult bees and bee larvae, as well as clothianidin to bee larvae, were determined to be 2.22, 5.03, and 1.01, respectively—each exceeding 1. This highlights the elevated risk of acute toxicity posed by imidacloprid and clothianidin residues to honey bees. The study bears significant implications for the safety evaluation of non-targeted organisms in the natural food chain. Moreover, it provides scientific guidance for protecting the diversity and health of the ecosystem.

Abstract:The sample was diluted with pH 4.0 of Na2EDTA-Mcllvaine buffer solution,and pesticides and antibiotics in the sample were extracted with a mixture of acetic acid-acetonitrile (1 + 19),and the extract was stratified by salting-out agents.The supernatant was cleaned up with purification pipe filled with magnetic C18 and PSA.Luna C18 column was used as stationary phase,and a mixture of 0.1％ (φ) formic acid solution and acetonitrile in various ratios as mobile phase in gradient elution.ESI+ and MRM were adopted in MS.Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration of 30 compounds were found in definite ranges,with detection limits (3S/N) in the range of 0.3-4.1 μg · kg 1.Test for recovery was made by standard addition method,giving results in the range of 71.1％-116％,with RSDs (n=5) ranged from 0.80％ to 21％.
Simultaneous determination of ten neonicotinoid insecticides and a metabolite in human whole blood by QuEChERS coupled with UPLC-Q Exactive orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry

Abstract:Since neonicotinoid insecticides are now the most extensively used insecticides worldwide, there are increasing cases of neonicotinoid poisoning. A rapid and sensitive method was developed for the determination of ten neonicotinoid insecticides and a metabolite 6-chloronicotinic acid in human whole blood. The types and amounts of extraction solvent, salting-out agent, and adsorbent in the QuEChERS method were optimized by comparing the absolute recoveries of 11 analytes. The separation was performed on an Agilent EC18 column with the gradient elution with 0.1% formic acid in water and acetonitrile as the mobile phase. The quantification was achieved by Q Exactive orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry under parallel reaction monitoring scan mode. The 11 analytes showed good linearity with R2 ≥ 0.9950, LODs ranging from 0.01 μg/L to 0.30 μg/L, and LOQs from 0.05 μg/L to 1.00 μg/L. The recoveries ranged from 78.3% to 119.9% at low, medium, and high spiked concentrations of blank blood, with matrix effects ranging from 80.9% to 117.8%, inter-day RSDs from 0.7% to 6.7%, and intra-day RSDs from 2.7% to 9.8%. The method was furthermore applied to a real case of neonicotinoid insecticide poisoning to demonstrate its feasibility. The proposed method is suitable for the rapid screening of neonicotinoid insecticides in poisoned human blood in the field of forensic science, as well as monitoring of neonicotinoid insecticide residues in humans in the field of environmental safety, compensating for a lack of studies on neonicotinoid insecticide determination in biological samples.

Abstract:A sample preparation method using lower amounts of organic solvents has been established for seven neonicotinoid insecticides (acetamiprid, clothianidin, dinotefuran, imidacloprid, nitenpyram, thiacloprid, and thiamethoxam) in cucumber, eggplant, and spinach samples with conventional high-performance liquid chromatography–diode array detector (HPLC−DAD). After extraction method used in QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, and Safe) (extraction with acetonitrile, and phase separation and dehydration of acetonitrile phase), the crude sample extracts were cleaned up with solid-phase extraction using graphitized carbon black and silica gel modified with ethylene diamine-N-propyl moiety (primary−secondary amine). The amount of organic solvents required before determination was only about 17 mL per sample. The matrix interference derived from samples was compensated using matrix-matched calibration. Average recoveries of the seven analytes were 83–100 %, with relative standard deviation of less than 10 %. The correlation coefficients were greater than 0.999 over the range between 0.01 and 0.5 mg kg−1. The limit of quantification for each analyte was 0.002–0.037 mg kg−1. This systematic residue analytical method using HPLC−DAD was applied successfully to neonicotinoid insecticide-incurred vegetable samples.

Abstract:Neonicotinoids (NEOs), used as insecticides against aphids, whiteflies, lepidopterans, and beetles, have numerous detrimental impacts on human health, including chronic illnesses, cancer, infertility, and birth anomalies. Monitoring the residues in food products is necessary to guarantee public health and ecological balance. The present work validated a new method to measure seven neonicotinoid insecticides (acetamiprid ACT, clothianidin CLT, dinotefuran DNT, imidacloprid IMD, nitenpyram NTP, thiacloprid TCP, and thiamethoxan THT) in wheat. The analytical procedure was based on simple and fast wheat sample cleanup using solid-phase extraction (SPE) to remove interferents and enrich the NEOs, alongside the NEOs' separation and quantification by reverse-phase chromatography coupled with a diode array detector (DAD). The validation process was validated using the accuracy profile strategy, a straightforward decision tool based on the measure of the total error (bias plus standard deviation) of the method. Our results proved that, in the future, at least 95% of the results obtained with the proposed method would fall within the ±15% acceptance limits. The test's cost-effectiveness, rapidity, and simplicity suggest its use for determining the levels of acetamiprid, clothianidin, dinotefuran, imidacloprid, nitenpyram, thiacloprid, and thiamethoxam in routine analyses of wheat.
Determination of twelve neonicotinoid pesticides in chili using an improved QuEChERS method with UPLC-Q-TOF/MS

Abstract:In this study, a QuEChERS method based on citrate was developed and utilized for the analysis of twelve neonicotinoid pesticides in fresh red chilies, fresh green chilies, and dried chilies, coupled with ultra-high performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF/MS). In the sample preparation, acetonitrile containing 1% formic acid was used as the extraction solvent. Anhydrous sodium sulfate replaced the traditional anhydrous magnesium sulfate for water removal, effectively eliminating the issues of salt caking. Graphitized carbon black, octadecyl silica, and primary secondary amine were used as cleaning agents. The method showed good sensitivity, with the limits of quantification below 0.03 mg/kg for fresh chilies and below 0.15 mg/kg for dried chilies. Values of matrix effects ranged from -19.5% to 8.4%, and the recovery was 86.9% - 105.2%. The analytical method provided an effective tool for the high throughput detection of neonicotinoid pesticide residues in multiple chili matrices.

Abstract:A method employing online solid phase extraction (SPE) coupled to UPLC-MS/MS was developed for the determination of residues of the acid herbicide quinclorac plus its transformation product, quinclorac methyl ester, in honey. The analytical method involved dissolving the honey in a mixture of methanol:water followed by direct injection into a two-dimensional UPLC system which is used to perform an automated SPE cleanup on a reusable phenyl cartridge prior to the target analytes being transferred onto an analytical UPLC column for subsequent chromatographic separation followed by MS/MS detection. The limits of quantitation for quinclorac and quinclorac methyl ester in honey were both set at 0.5 μg kg −1 and the method detection limit was estimated to be 0.012 μg kg −1 for each compound. The working analytical range (0.5–100 μg kg −1 ) was validated by analysing a series of spiked replicate honey samples. The method was applied to the analysis of various honeys obtained from numerous different commercial sources. Quinclorac was detected in 9 out of 30 samples at concentrations ranging from 0.6 to 31.5 μg kg −1 . Quinclorac methyl ester, which is estimated to be significantly more toxic than the parent herbicide itself, was not detected in any honey sample.

Abstract:Amphenicols and tetracyclines (TCs) antibiotics use in apiculture is mainly focused on the treatment of bee brood diseases. Despite their efficiency, the serious genotoxic effects that some elicit led to their banning for use in apiculture and for chloramphenicol (CAP) in all food-producing animals. In this work, three tandem mass spectrometric methods were developed and validated for the analysis and quantification of CAP, thiamphenicol (TF), florfenicol (FF), tetracycline (TC), oxytetracycline (OTC) and chlortetracycline (CTC) in honey and honeybees. With the first, we have demonstrated the first use of probe electrospray ionization (PESI) in conjunction with tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) for antibiotics determination in honey and bees entailing a minimum sample preparation for bees, resulting in rapid chemical analysis for both commodities. The second was a reversed-phase HPLC-ESI-MS/MS method sharing the same scope. With the third chiral HPLC-ESI-MS/MS method, it was attempted to separate CAP stereoisomers in both commodities since reports have shown that only the D-threo isomer displays antimicrobial properties. The analytical methods fulfilled validation criteria demonstrating recoveries in the range of 74–92%, managing to address the minimum required performance limit (MRPL) for CAP, with the exception of PESI-MS/MS. The latter displayed a detection capability (CCβ) for all compounds in proximity to 1 ng/g, and an overall runtime of 1.5 min. In total, 68 samples of honeybees and honey were evaluated for amphenicols and TCs residues. CAP was detected only in two honeybee samples, while one honey sample was positive to TC and OTC was detected in traces in another sample. PESI-MS/MS managed to quantify both TC in honey and CAP in bees in proximity to the values assigned by the conventional HPLC-ESI-MS/MS methods. With regard to the separation of CAP's isomers, the chiral method managed to resolute all isomers and quantify CAP in one bee sample in the form of its L-threo stereoisomer. Overall, ABCs detection in honey and related matrices still constitutes a challenge, considering their prevalence and potential applications in major honey-producing countries.

Abstract:A green, simple and sensitive hydrophobic DES-based dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was developed for the analysis of neonicotinoid insecticide residues in various samples. A hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent (DES) was synthesized using decanoic acid as a hydrogen bond donor and tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBABr) as a hydrogen bond-acceptor. DESs were synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform-infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Two disperser solvents were substituted with surfactants and acetonitrile, which could afford more effective emulsification and make the extraction relatively greener. The hydrophobic DES extraction phase occurred 10 min after centrifugation, being easy to be collected for analysis. Several parameters were investigated and optimized. Under the optimum condition, the calibration curve of this method was linear in the range of 0.003–1.0-μg·mL−1, with a correlation coefficient (R2) higher than 0.99 and a good repeatability, with the relative standard deviations (RSDs) were less than 5.00%. The limits of detection were in the range of 0.001–0.003 μg·mL−1; the limits of quantitation were in the range of 0.003–0.009 μg·mL·mL−1. Finally, the presented method was implemented to determine the neonicotinoid insecticide residues in water, soil, egg yolk samples and acceptable recoveries were obtained.

Abstract:An analytical method based on enhanced matrix removal–lipid liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (EMR-LC–MS/MS) was developed for the determination of neonicotinoid insecticides and metabolites residues (imidacloprid (IMI) and its metabolites imidacloprid-urea (IMI-U), imidacloprid-olefin (IMI-O), acetamiprid (ACE) and its metabolite N-desmethyl acetamiprid (IM 2–1), dinotefuran (DIN) and its metabolite [1-methy1-3(tetrahydro-3-furylmethy1) urea (DIN-UF), thiacloprid (THIA), thiamethoxam (TMX), clothianidin (CLO, metabolite of thiamethoxam), and flupyradifurone (FLU)) in milk and infant formula milk powder. The residual of neonicotinoid insecticides and their metabolites in samples were exacted by acetonitrile and extraction kits. The quantitative detection was performed by LC–MS/MS with multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) modes under positive ion electrospray ionization (ESI + ). The isotope dilution internal standard or external standard method was used for quantitation. The limits of quantification (LOQs, S/N = 10) were 2 μg/kg (IMI, IMI-U, ACE, IM 2–1, DIN-UF, THIA, and TMX) and 5 μg/kg (IMI-O, DIN, CLO, and FLU) for milk; 2 μg/kg (ACE), 15 μg/kg (THIA, IM 2–1, DIN-UF, THIA, and TMX), and 40 μg/kg (IMI-U, IMI-O, DIN, CLO, and FLU) for infant formula milk powder. At three spiked levels of 5 μg/kg, 10 μg/kg, 50 μg/kg (milk), or 40 μg/kg, 80 μg/kg, 400 μg/kg (infant formula milk powder), the recoveries were in the range of 71.7–108.7% and 71.9–107.1%; the relative standard deviations were below 12.6% and 13.9%, respectively. This method was simple, rapid, and accurate to determine the neonicotinoids and their metabolites residues in milk and infant formula milk powder.

Abstract:A reliable and cost-effective method for the determination of multiple neonicotinoids was developed using a modified QuEChERS-based extraction procedure in complex matrices, namely Hedyotis diffusa (a representative of the Traditional Chinese herb which contains lots of pigment, saponin and terpene) and Semifluid extract of deer foetus (a representative of the Chinese traditional patent medicine that was produced with several different herbs, and especially containing lots of protein, except for other interference components). Ultra-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) was used for the quantification and confirmation of five compounds. Except for two transitions obtained by the MRM mode, identification was further carried out by the ion radios. The proposed chemical structure of every selected product ion and the proposed pyrolysis way were presented. The extraction, clean-up, UPLC separation and MS/MS parameters were especially optimized in order to obtain better recoveries. The low limits of detection (LODs) of five insecticides ranged from 0.04 to 0.81 μg kg–1. Matrix matched calibration in the concentration range of 0.05–50 μg kg–1 were used to compensate the matrix effect, and reasonable recoveries 80.2–105.4% of five compounds were demonstrated in different spiked levels with inter-RSD from 1.7 to 10.6%. The proposed method is an alternative approach to make an analysis of neonicotinoids in Chinese medicine, which is more reliable and promising compared with other detection methods.
