Abstract:This study aims at, for an e-business Web site, how to use data mining technology in its management analysis, i.e. holding customer behavior patterns and digging potential customers. The connection between Web mining and e-commerce was analyzed. Based on a case of consumer behavior pattern digging, explanation of data gathering, filtering and formatting shows different data mining algorithms, like decision tree, neural network, genetic algorithms and case-based reasoning, should be selectively taken according to different application backgrounds.

Abstract:In the digital era, online channels have become an inevitable part of healthcare services making healthcare/health-product e-commerce an important area of study. However, the reflections of customer-satisfaction and their difference in various subgroups of this industry is still unexplored. Additionally, extant literature has majorly focused on consumer surveys for customer-satisfaction research ignoring the huge data available online. The current study fills these gaps. With 186,057 reviews on 619 e-commerce firms from 29 subcategories of healthcare/health-product industry posted in a review-website between 2008 and 2018, we used text-mining, machine-learning and econometric techniques to find which core and augmented service aspects and which emotions are more important in which service contexts in terms of reflecting and predicting customer satisfaction. Our study contributes towards the healthcare/health-product marketing and services literature in suggesting an automated and machine-learning-based methodology for insight generation. It also helps healthcare/health-product e-commerce managers in better e-commerce service design and delivery.

Abstract:Electronic commerce is emerging as the killer domain for data mining technology. The following are five desiderata for success. Seldom are they they all present in one data mining application. 1. Data with rich descriptions. For example, wide customer records with many potentially useful fields allow data mining algorithms to search beyond obvious correlations. 2. A large volume of data. The large model spaces corresponding to rich data demand many training instances to build reliable models. 3. Controlled and reliable data collection. Manual data entry and integration from legacy systems both are notoriously problematic; fully automated collection is considerably better. 4. The ability to evaluate results. Substantial, demonstrable return on investment can be very convincing. 5. Ease of integration with existing processes. Even if pilot studies show potential benefit, deploying automated solutions to previously manual processes is rife with pitfalls. Building a system to take advantage of the mined knowledge can be a substantial undertaking. Furthermore, one often must deal with social and political issues involved in the automation of a previously manual business process.

Abstract:The overall effectiveness of a website as an e-commerce platform is influenced by how usable it is. This study aimed to find out if advanced web metrics, derived from Google Analytics software, could be used to evaluate the overall usability of e-commerce sites and identify potential usability issues. It is simple to gather web indicators, but processing and interpretation take time. This data is produced through several digital channels, including mobile. Big data has proven to be very helpful in a variety of online platforms, including social networking and e-commerce websites, etc. The sheer amount of data that needs to be processed and assessed to be useful is one of the main issues with e-commerce today as a result of the digital revolution. Additionally, on social media a crucial growth strategy for e-commerce is the usage of BDA capabilities as a guideline to boost sales and draw clients for suppliers. In this paper, we have used the KMP algorithm-based multivariate pruning method for web-based web index searching and different web analytics algorithm with machine learning classifiers to achieve patterns from transactional data gathered from e-commerce websites. Moreover, through the use of log-based transactional data, the research presented in this paper suggests a new machine learning-based evaluation method for evaluating the usability of e-commerce websites. To identify the underlying relationship between the overall usability of the eLearning system and its predictor factors, three machine learning techniques and multiple linear regressions are used to create prediction models. This strategy will lead the e-commerce industry to an economically profitable stage. This capability can assist a vendor in keeping track of customers and items they have viewed, as well as categorizing how customers use their e-commerce emporium so the vendor can cater to their specific needs. It has been proposed that machine learning models, by offering trustworthy prognoses, can aid in excellent usability. Such models might be incorporated into an online prognostic calculator or tool to help with treatment selection and possibly increase visibility. However, none of these models have been recommended for use in reusability because of concerns about the deployment of machine learning in e-commerce and technical issues. One problem with machine learning science that needs to be solved is explainability. For instance, let us say B is 10 and all the people in our population are even. The hash function's behavior is not random since only buckets 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 can be the value of h(x). However, if B = 11, we would find that 1/11th of the even integers is transmitted to each of the 11 buckets. The hash function would work well in this situation.

Abstract:The rapid e-commerce growth has made both business community and customers face a new situation. Due to intense competition on one hand and the customer's option to choose from several alternatives business community has realized the necessity of intelligent marketing strategies and relationship management. Web usage mining attempts to discover useful knowledge from the secondary data obtained from the interactions of the users with the Web. Web usage mining has become very critical for effective Web site management, creating adaptive Web sites, business and support services, personalization, network traffic flow analysis and so on. In this paper, we present the important concepts of Web usage mining and its various practical applications. We further present a novel approach 'intelligent-miner' (i-Miner) to optimize the concurrent architecture of a fuzzy clustering algorithm (to discover web data clusters) and a fuzzy inference system to analyze the Web site visitor trends. A hybrid evolutionary fuzzy clustering algorithm is proposed in this paper to optimally segregate similar user interests. The clustered data is then used to analyze the trends using a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy inference system learned using a combination of evolutionary algorithm and neural network learning. Proposed approach is compared with self-organizing maps (to discover patterns) and several function approximation techniques like neural networks, linear genetic programming and Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy inference system (to analyze the clusters). The results are graphically illustrated and the practical significance is discussed in detail. Empirical results clearly show that the proposed Web usage-mining framework is efficient.

Abstract:With the rapid development of Internet technology, Internet technology is crucial to people's life. This paper uses machine learning to analyze customer shopping behavior data in detail. In the huge customer behavior data, how to tap the potential information value of customers, how to explore customer needs and behavior rules, etc. are still the key content of customer behavior research. Nowadays, user behavior research has become a hot topic at home and abroad, and artificial intelligence has played a very important role in the field of automated learning in e-commerce applications. Due to the rapid development of information technology and the continuous progress of e-commerce market, customers are more and more interested in commodity trade on electronic platforms, and online shopping has become an important software for shopping in today's society. E-commerce is going through an era of big data, generating huge data information about consumer behavior every day, including the analysis of customer behavior on e-commerce websites, and taking customer browsing data and customer purchasing behavior data as the main source of data extraction from potential customers. On this basis, the specific information about e-commerce potential customer behavior data is extracted through the hybrid algorithm of data roughness and decision tree algorithm. At the same time, effective, accurate and timely behavior goals should be achieved to attract potential customer resources. Finally, we use analysis and simulation methods to extract important values from the previous research data of e-commerce websites. Therefore, the experimental results show that this method can produce an ideal decision tree model, and it is easier to understand and interpret the rules of customer behavior extraction, so as to understand more accurate customer behavior.

Abstract:The electronic commerce (e-commerce) business has become increasingly important due to the recent hoopla around online shopping. This is due to the volatility of the situation and disasters such as the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to keep customers loyal and avoid customer attrition, service and product suppliers were compelled to adjust to the latest developments in digital marketing. Business-to-consumer (B2C) is a key market niche in this market, as companies utilize their websites to offer goods and services directly to customers. That's why B2C wants to be shaped in a way that helps companies and customers establish a reliable, long-lasting connection. As a result, this study showcases the essential criteria that contribute to constructing a profitable B2C e-commerce website. These criteria are leveraged to prioritize and evaluate e-commerce websites (E-WSs). This is a crucial phase in this study to recommend effective E-WSs amongst a set of competitors for customers. This study achieved this phase by constructing a decision-making model. This model can deal with conflicting criteria for preferring E-WSs over each other. The best Holistic Adaptable Ranking of Attributes Technique (BHARAT) is a novel methodology of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). This methodology is proposed in the constructed decision-making model to evaluate and rank E-WSs. Ultimately, we applied this model to real E-WSs, and the findings indicated that E-WS2 is optimal; otherwise, E-WS4 is the worst one.

Abstract:With the continuous development of science and technology, e-commerce activities and marketing through the network under the condition of network technology provide a convenient way for enterprises to publicize their products and services, and have become an effective guarantee for enterprises to achieve success in future business competition. However, network marketing is a double-edged sword. There are both opportunities and challenges. In today’s information age, it is very necessary to study e-commerce and network marketing. This paper uses clustering and classification analysis algorithms of data mining to accurately predict and analyze the target customers of online marketing. The test results show that the prediction accuracy of attribute analysis tools of data mining is 20.36% higher than that of general analysis tools. Through in-depth analysis of these information, we can find market demand, customer groups with similar purchasing behavior and other information. Timely discovery of such information can help enterprises to quickly reflect market changes, make customer expectations, and thus formulate effective marketing plans.

Abstract:E-commerce businesses employ recommender models to assist in identifying a personalized set of products for each visitor. To accurately assess the recommendations' influence on customer clicks and buys, three target areas -- customer behavior, data collection, user-interface -- will be explored for possible sources of erroneous data. Varied customer behavior misrepresents the recommendations' true influence on a customer due to the presence of B2B interactions and outlier customers. Non-parametric statistical procedures for outlier removal are delineated and other strategies are investigated to account for the effect of a large percentage of new customers or high bounce rates. Subsequently, in data collection we identify probable misleading interactions in the raw data, propose a robust method of tracking unique visitors, and accurately attributing the buy influence for combo products. Lastly, user-interface issues discuss the possible problems caused due to the recommendation widget's positioning on the e-commerce website and the stringent conditions that should be imposed when utilizing data from the product listing page. This collective methodology results in an exact and valid estimation of the customer's interactions influenced by the recommendation model in the context of standard industry metrics, such as Click-through rates, Buy-through rates, and Conversion revenue.

Abstract:The main aim of the study is to determine the key variables of implementing Machine learning tools so as to enhance Electronic business (E-business) in the organisation. This study intends to source the information through closed ended questionnaire from nearly 155 business managers in retail E-business companies located in India, the study will apply Partial least square (PLS) analysis using the Structural equation modelling and also uses IBM SPSS for making preliminary descriptive analysis based on the data sourced through the questionnaire. The main theme of the paper is to provide critical and comprehensive understanding of implementation of machine learning approaches in enhancing E-business. The dynamic business environment compels business to adopt to new technologies to promote sales, engage with customers and enhance business values. Hence, this study is more involved in understanding the machine learning approaches incorporated by management for supporting their E-business. Based on the analysis it is noted that machine learning driven analysis enable in making better customer engagement, support in analysing the buyer behaviour and track the products from the vendors to reaching the hands of the customers. This research focuses in stating the key determinants of applying machine learning in enhancing the E-business for achieving sustainable growth and advantage. E-commerce business applied ML to analyse the overall buyer behaviour, engage them effectively so as to offer better products and services to meet their needs. Predicting online e-marketplace sales performances: A big data approach

Abstract:To manage supply chain efficiently, e-business organizations need to understand their sales effectively. Previous research has shown that product review plays an important role in influencing sales performance, especially review volume and rating. However, limited attention has been paid to understand how other factors moderate the effect of product review on online sales. This study aims to confirm the importance of review volume and rating on improving sales performance, and further examine the moderating roles of product category, answered questions, discount and review usefulness in such relationships. By analyzing 2939 records of data extracted from Amazon.com using a big data architecture, it is found that review volume and rating have stronger influence on sales rank for search product than for experience product. Also, review usefulness significantly moderates the effects of review volume and rating on product sales rank. In addition, the relationship between review volume and sales rank is significantly moderated by both answered questions and discount. However, answered questions and discount do not have significant moderation effect on the relationship between review rating and sales rank. The findings expand previous literature by confirming important interactions between customer review features and other factors, and the findings provide practical guidelines to manage e-businesses. This study also explains a big data architecture and illustrates the use of big data technologies in testing theoretical framework.

Abstract:The present paper proposes a new model for the exploration of hesitated patterns from multiple levels of conceptual hierarchy in the transactional dataset. The usual practice of mining patterns has focused on identifying frequent patterns (i.e., which occur together) in the transactional dataset but uncovers the vital information about the patterns which are almost frequent (but not exactly frequent) called “hesitated patterns.” The proposed model uses the reduced minimum support threshold (contains two values: attractiveness and hesitation) and constant minimum confidence threshold with the top-down progressive deepening approach for generating patterns and utilizing the apriori property. To validate the model, an online purchasing scenario of books through e-commerce-based online shopping platforms such as Amazon has been considered and shown that how the various factors contributed towards building hesitation to purchase a book at the time of purchasing. The present work suggests a novel way for deriving hesitated patterns from multiple levels in the conceptual hierarchy with respect to the target dataset. Moreover, it is observed that the concepts and theories available in the existing related work Lu and Ng (2007) are only focusing on the introductory aspect of vague set theory-based hesitation association rule mining, which is not useful for handling the patterns from multiple levels of granularity, while the proposed model is complete in nature and addresses the very significant and untouched problem of mining “multilevel hesitated patterns” and is certainly useful for exploring the hesitated patterns from multiple levels of granularity based on the considered hesitation status in a transactional dataset. These hesitated patterns can be further utilized by decision makers and business analysts to build the strategy on how to increase the attraction level of such hesitated items (appeared in a particular transaction/set of transactions in a given dataset) to convert their state from hesitated to preferred items.

Abstract:Predictive modeling and time-pattern analysis are increasingly critical in this swiftly shifting retail environment to improve operational efficiency and informed decision-making. This paper reports a comprehensive application of state-of-the-art machine learning to the retailing domain with a specific focus on association rule mining, sequential pattern mining, and time-series forecasting. Association rules: Relationship Mining This provides the key product relationships and customer buying patterns that form the basis of individually tailored marketing campaigns. Sequential pattern mining: Using the PrefixSpan algorithm, it identifies frequent sequences of purchasing products-extremely powerful insights into consumer behavior and also better management of the inventories. What is applied for sales trend forecasting models Prophet applies on historical transaction data over seasonality, holidays, and long-term growth. The forecast results allow predicting demand variations, thus helping in proper inventory alignment and avoiding overstocking or understocking of inventory. Our results are checked through the help of metrics like MAE (Mean Absolute Error) and RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error) to ensure our predictions are strong and accurate. We will combine the aspects of all of these techniques to prove how predictive modeling and temporal pattern analysis can help optimize control over inventory, enhance marketing effectiveness, and position retail businesses as they rise to ever greater heights. This entire methodology demonstrates the flexibility with which data-driven strategies can be leveraged to revitalize traditional retailing practices.

In fact, many of the e-commerce companies that were launched were unable to keep up with the competition because they were unable to develop marketing strategies and eventually went bankrupt. Therefore, we need a special way to bridge these problems so that e-Commerce can stay alive, especially for e-Commerce classified as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This research will focus on developing a precision marketing model in e-Commerce for small businesses, namely orebae.com which can be used as a tool in the development of marketing strategies. This research was carried out using a machine learning approach by adopting a decision tree algorithm. The results of this study showed that the precision marketing model for orebae.com based on customer preferences can be used to increase the number of sales of orebae.com and to reduce marketing costs.

Abstract:Today web mining is a challenging task in organization. Every organization generated vast amount of data from various source. Web mining is the process of extracting useful knowledge from web resources. Log files are maintained by the web server. The challenging task for E-commerce companies is to know their customer behavior to improve the business by analyzing web log files. E-commerce website can generate tens of peta bytes of data in their web log files. This paper discuss about the importance of log files in E-commerce world. The analysis of log files is used for learning the user behavior in E-commerce system. The analysis of such large web log files need parallel processing and reliable data storage system. The Hadoop framework provides reliable storage by Hadoop Distributed File System and parallel processing system for large database using MapReduce programming model. These mechanisms help to process log data in parallel manner and computes results efficiently. This approach reduces the response time as well as load on the end system. This work proposes apredictive prefetching system based on preprocessing of web logs using HadoopMapReduce, which will provide accurate results in minimum response time for E-commerce business activities.
