Abstract:Sensitive and quantitative detection of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) has been determined to be indispensable for clinical diagnostics of prostate cancer, whereas such detection is quite challenging due to the extremely low concentration of biomarkers in human serum samples. In this study, a photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor was effectively developed for the high-sensitivity analysis of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) using a signal amplification method utilizing sensitized carbon quantum dots (CQDs). In this experiment, cadmium sulfide quantum dots were employed as the substrate materials, and indium copper sulfide quantum dots were loaded on their surfaces. Moreover, the efficient matching of energy levels in these two materials contributed to the generation of photocurrents. The aforementioned heterojunction semiconductor QDs were thus combined with CQDs to produce CQDs on their surfaces. As a result of the presence of CQDs, the ability of heterojunction materials to absorb light was remarkably enhanced, increasing the photocurrent by over ten times. Consequently, in this study, CQDs were combined with PEC sensors, and the developed PEC biosensors exhibited excellent optical performance, sensitivity, repeatability, and stability. The results obtained from the analysis of actual samples were satisfactory and have promising application prospects.

Abstract:A sensitive photoelectrochemical (PEC) aptasensor was constructed for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) detection using an enhanced photocurrent response strategy. The p-n heterostructure CdS-Cu2O nanorod arrays were prepared on Ti mesh (CdS-Cu2O NAs/TM) by a simple hydrothermal method and successive ionic-layer adsorption reactions. Compared with the original CdS/TM, the synergistic effect of p-n type CdS-Cu2O NAs/TM and the internal electric field realizes the effective separation of photoinduced electron–hole pairs and improves the PEC performance. In order to construct the aptasensor, an amino-modified aptamer was immobilized on CdS-Cu2O NAs/TM to serve as a recognition unit for PSA. After the introduction of PSA, PSA was specifically captured by the aptamer on the PEC aptasensor, which can be oxidized by photogenerated holes to prevent electron–hole recombination and increase photocurrent. Under optimal conditions, the constructed PEC aptasensor has a linear range of 0.1–100 ng·mL−1 and a detection limit as low as 0.026 ng·mL−1. The results of aptasensor detection of human serum indicate that it has broad application prospects in biosensors and photoelectrochemical analysis.
In Situ Enzymatic Ascorbic Acid Production As Electron Donor for CdS Quantum Dots Equipped TiO2 Nanotubes: a General and Efficient Approach for New Photoelectrochemical Immunoassay.

Abstract:In this work, a novel photoelectrochemical (PEC) immunoanalysis format was developed for sensitive and specific detection of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) based on an in situ electron donor producing approach. Thioglycolic acid-capped CdS quantum dots (QDs) equipped TiO(2) nanotubes (NTs) were fabricated via a facile electrostatic adsorption method. The coupling of CdS QDs and TiO(2) NTs results in an enhanced excitation and photo-to-electric conversion efficiency. Using alkaline phosphatase catalytic chemistry to in situ generate ascorbic acid for electron donating, an exquisite immunosandwich protocol was successfully constructed for the PSA assay due to the dependence of the photocurrent signal on the concentration of electron donor. This work opens a different perspective for transducer design in PEC detection and provides a general format for future development of PEC immunoanalysis.

Abstract:Based on the resonance energy transfer between CdS@CeO2 and Cu2O@PdAg, a quenching immunosensor for sensitive detection of prostate specific antigen (PSA) was constructed. The CdS@CeO2 heterostructure was obtained by in situ growth of CeO2 particles on the surface of CdS nanorods, and stable cathodic ECL emission was achieved using K2S2O8 as coreactant. Cu2O@PdAg was composed of Cu2O with tetradecahedral structure and bimetallic PdAg nanospheres and has a UV–V is absorption range between 600 and 800 nm. It overlaps with the ECL emission spectrum of CdS@CeO2, realizing the effective quenching of the ECL signal, which provides feasibility for subsequent practical application. The immunosensor exhibited good linearity in the concentration range 10 fg·mL−1 100 ng·mL−1, with a detection limit of 5.6 fg·mL−1. In sample analysis, the recoveries were 99.8–101
Fluorescent Immunosensor Based on CuS Nanoparticles for Sensitive Detection of Cancer Biomarker

Abstract:A novel fluorescent immunosensor was developed based on the use of CuS nanoparticles (CuS NPs) as labels for the highly sensitive detection of human prostate cancer biomarker prostate specific antigen (PSA). In the presence of CuS NPs, the non-fluorescent substrate o-phenylenediamine could be oxidized into the stable fluorescent product 2,3-diamiophenazine at physiological pH. Throughout the reaction, no other oxidizing agents (e.g. hydrogen peroxide) were needed. The relatively mild oxidation conditions made the immunoassay robust, reliable and facile. The proposed immunoassay exhibited high sensitivity and specificity for the detection of PSA. A linear relationship between the fluorescent signals and the concentration of PSA was obtained in the range of 0.5 pg mL(-1) to 50 ng mL(-1), with a detection limit of 0.1 pg mL(-1) (S/N = 3). The proposed fluorescent immunoassay can be used as a promising platform for the detection of a variety of other biomarkers.

Abstract:A colorimetric immunoassay has been reported for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) detection with CuO nanoparticles (CuO NPs) as signal labels. The method is based on Cu2+-catalyzed oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) by O2 to depress the formation of colored gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). Specifically, HAuCl4 can be reduced by AA to produce AuNPs in situ. In the presence of target, CuO NPs-labeled antibodies were captured via the sandwich-type immunoreaction. After dissolving CuO nanoparticles with acid, the released Cu2+ catalyzed the oxidation of AA by O2, thus depressing the generation of AuNPs. To demonstrate the accuracy of the colorimetric assay, the released Cu2+ was further determined by a fluorescence probe. The colorimetric immunoassay shows a linear relationship for PSA detection in the range of 0.1~10 ng/mL. The detection limit of 0.05 ng/mL is comparable to that obtained by other CuO NPs-based methods. The high throughput, simplicity, and sensitivity of the proposed colorimetric immunoassay exhibited good applicability for assays of serum samples.
Ni(OH)2/NGQDs-based electrochemiluminescence immunosensor for prostate specific antigen detection by coupling resonance energy transfer with Fe3O4@MnO2 composites

Abstract:An efficient quenching electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunosensor based on ECL resonance energy transfer (ECL-RET) was studied for sensitive analysis of prostate specific antigen (PSA). In this protocol, nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (NGQDs) which could produce excellent ECL emission, were loaded onto Ni(OH)2 with the three-dimensional (3D) hierarchical and stacked lamellar structure. Taking advantages of high conductivity and large specific surface area of Ni(OH)2, the better electrochemical and ECL behavior of Ni(OH)2/NGQDs were presented. As another part of immunosensor, the Fe3O4@MnO2 composites with wider ultraviolet absorption range were successfully assembled. The absorption spectra of Fe3O4@MnO2 precisely overlapped with the ECL spectra of NGQDs, leading to the significant decrement of ECL signal. Herein, the sandwich-type immunosensor was developed based on the quenching mechanism between NGQDs (ECL donor) and Fe3O4@MnO2 (ECL acceptor). The system was optimized to realize reliable determination of PSA concentration within the linear range of 10-5-10ng/mL and a detection limit of 5 fg/mL (S/N = 3). Eminently, the developed method was successfully applied in real serum samples with good recoveries in a range from 94.0% to 102%, indicating the good accuracy of the proposed method for PSA detection.

Abstract:Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world, and its early diagnosis can effectively reduce mortality. A new label-free photoelectrochemical (PEC) immunosensor on the basis of Bi 2 WO 6 /BiOBr nanocomposite materials has been successfully prepared for the test of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in human serum in this work. The Ag 2 S-sensitized Bi 2 WO 6 /BiOBr heterojunction was used as a photosensitive material, which effectively improved the photocurrent response. On Bi 2 WO 6 /BiOBr surface, dopamine immobilized PSA antibody by self-polymerizing to form polydopamine membrane. Antigen and antibody are specifically combined to achieve quantitative detection of PSA according to the current changes at different concentrations of antigen. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the PEC immunosensor has an ideal linear relationship between 1 pg/mL - 50 ng/mL, and the detection limit is 0.084 pg/mL. In addition, the prepared immunosensor has good stability, reproducibility and selectivity, providing a new method for the detection of PSA in actual sample analysis.

Exciton-Plasmon Interaction between AuNPs/Graphene Nanohybrids and CdS Quantum Dots/TiO2 for Photoelectrochemical Aptasensing of Prostate-Specific Antigen

Abstract:A competitive-displacement reaction strategy based on target-induced dissociation of gold nanoparticle coated graphene nanosheet (AuNPs/GN) from CdS quantum dot functionalized mesoporous titanium dioxide (CdS QDs/TiO2) was designed for the sensitive photoelectrochemical (PEC) aptasensing of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) through the exciton-plasmon interaction (EPI) between CdS QDs and AuNPs. To construct such an aptasensing system, capture DNA was initially conjugated covalently onto CdS QDs/TiO2-modified electrode, and then AuNPs/GN-labeled PSA aptamer was bound onto biofunctionalized CdS QDs/TiO2 via hybridization chain reaction of partial bases with capture DNA. Introduction of AuNPs/GN efficiently quenched the photocurrent of CdS QDs/TiO2 thanks to energy transfer. Upon addition of target PSA, the sandwiched aptamer between CdS QDs/TiO2 and AuNPs/GN reacted with the analyte analyte, thus resulting in the dissociation of AuNPs/GN from the CdS QDs/TiO2 to increase the photocurrent. Under optimum conditions, the aptasensing platform exhibited a high sensitivity for PSA detection within a dynamic linear range of 1.0 pg/mL to 8.0 ng/mL at a low limitat of detection of 0.52 pg/mL. The interparticle distance of exciton-plasmon interaction and contents of AuNPs corresponding to EPI effect in this system were also studied. Good selectivity and high reproducibility were obtained for the analysis of target PSA. Importantly, the accuracy and matrix effect of PEC aptasensor was evaluated for the determination of human serum specimens and newborn calf serum-diluted PSA standards, giving a well-matched result with the referenced PSA ELISA kit.
Potential-resolved ratiometric electrochemiluminescence detection for prostate-specific antigen based on CdS nanocrystals modified on carbon nanotubes and luminol functionalized nanocomposites

Abstract:A ratiometric electrochemiluminescence (ECL) aptamer-based sensing platform was fabricated for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) determination. Activated CdS nanocrystals/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CdS/MCNTs) and luminol-Pt/PAMAM nanocomposites (L-Pt/PAMAM NCs) were synthesized and used as cathodic and anodic ECL emitters, respectively. Amino group-modified aptamers were assembled on carboxylated magnetic beads, followed by hybridization with probe DNA functionalized L-Pt/PAMAM NCs. In the presence of PSA, the aptamer would bind specifically to the target PSA, thereby releasing L-Pt/PAMAM NCs. After magnetic separation, the separated L-Pt/PAMAM NCs would hybridize with capture DNA on CdS/MCNTs coated on glassy carbon electrode. This binding would lead to a decrease in cathodic ECL signal of CdS/MCNTs, due to the efficient energy transfer from CdS/MCNTs to L-Pt/PAMAM NCs. Meanwhile, L-Pt/PAMAM brought the anodic ECL signal from luminol. With the increase of PSA concentration, the ECL emission from luminol increased and the ECL emission from CdS/MCNTs decreased. The ratio of ECL intensity of luminol at 0.55 V and CdS/MCNTs at - 1.25 V could be used to quantify the concentration of PSA. This method enables sensitive and reliable detection of PSA over a wide range from 0.05 to 200 ng mL-1, and the detection limit is 0.02 ng mL-1.
Self-powered Cathodic Photoelectrochemical Aptasensor Based on in Situ–synthesized CuO-Cu2O Nanowire Array for Detecting Prostate-Specific Antigen

Abstract:A facile and sensitive self-powered cathodic photoelectrochemical (PEC) aptasensor is reported for the detection of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) based on CuO-Cu2O nanowire array grown on Cu mesh (CuO-Cu2O NWA/CM) as electrode. The mixed narrow band gaps of the CuO-Cu2O heterostructure ensured its wide absorption band, effective electron/hole separation, and high photocatalytic activity in the visible region. In addition, nanowires directly grown on the substrate provided high specific surface area and exposed abundant active sites, thus guaranteeing its high photocatalytic efficiency. Therefore, the self-powered sensor exhibited favorable analytical performance with fast response, wide linear ranges of 0.01 to 5 ng/mL and 5 to 100 ng/mL, an acceptable detection limit of 3 pg/mL, and reasonable selectivity and stability. The proposed CuO-Cu2O NWA/CM can be considered a promising visible light-responsive photoactive material for fabrication of PEC aptasensor with high performance.
Highly Efficient Signal On/Off Electrochemiluminescence Gel Aptasensor Based on a Controlled Release Strategy for the Sensitive Detection of Prostate Specific Antigen.

Abstract:The controlled release strategy can make the constructed sensor have the function of self-on/off, which has an obvious effect on improving the sensitivity in immunoassays. Metal organic gels (MOGs) are the most noteworthy. They are materials with ultrahigh surface area, highly dispersed atomical metal sites, and well-defined porosity and can be used as an efficient luminophore to cause the developed sensor to have good hydrophilicity and adjustability, thus further improving the detection sensitivity. In this work, a novel on/off electrochemiluminescence (ECL) gel aptasensor was constructed using the Cys-[Ru(dcbpy)3]2+ gel as a luminophore, ZnS quantum dots (QDs) as quenchers, and aminated mesoporous silica nanocontainers (SiO2-NH2) as carriers of controlled release for prostate specific antigen (PSA) detection. Specifically, the ssDNA and PSA aptamer made up clamp-like molecules to block holes of the SiO2-NH2 after encapsulating the quencher ZnS QDs. Because of the specific binding between the PSA antigen and aptamer, the clamp-like molecules of ssDNA and the PSA aptamer were disassembled. Finally, the release of ZnS QDs was triggered, thereby realizing a self-off mode of the ECL signals under a co-reactant-free environment by ECL resonance energy transfer (ECL-RET) between the Cys-[Ru(dcbpy)3]2+ and ZnS QDs. In addition, the quenching mechanism was confirmed by molecular orbitals from the theoretical calculation level. The detection limit of the gel aptasensor for PSA was as low as 1.01 fg/mL, showing excellent sensitivity and accuracy. These strategies provided a feasible idea for PSA and even other tumor marker immunoassays.

Amplified Quenching of Electrochemiluminescence from CdS Sensitized TiO2 Nanotubes by CdTe-carbon Nanotube Composite for Detection of Prostate Protein Antigen in Serum.

Abstract:This work reports an ECL immunoassay method for ultrasensitive detection of prostate protein antigen (PSA), by remarkably efficient energy-transfer induced electrochemiluminescence (ECL) quenching from the CdS nanoparticles (NPs) sensitized TiO(2) nanotube array (CdS-TiO(2) NTs) to the activated CdTe NPs functionalized multi-wall carbon nanotubes (CdTe-MWNTs) composite. The coupling of TiO(2) and CdS NPs results in a cathodic ECL intensity 14.7 times stronger than that of the pure TiO(2) NTs electrode, which could be efficiently quenched by the CdTe-MWNTs. The enhanced mechanism of TiO(2) NTs ECL by CdS NPs was studied in detail by cyclic voltammetry and ECL spectroscopy. The strong absorption of the CdTe-MWNTs in the wavelength range of 400-800 nm renders them highly efficient for ECL quenching labeled on anti-PSA antibody. Based on a sandwich structure, we developed an ECL immunoassay method for the sensitive and selective detection of PSA. The ECL intensity decrement was logarithmically related to the concentration of the PSA in the range of 1.0 fg mL(-1) to 10 pg mL(-1) with a detection limit of 1 fg mL(-1). Human serum samples were then tested using the proposed immunoassay with excellent correlations, suggesting that the proposed immunoassay method is of great promise in clinical screening of cancer biomarkers.

Abstract:In the present work, a label-free prostate specific antigen (PSA) electrochemical immunosnesor was constructed based on Au nanoparticles/MoS2-graphene aerogels nanocomposite (AuNPs/MoS2-GAs) as sensing platform. MoS2-GAs composite with porous network structure provided large specific area for the immobilization of AuNPs, which further improved the loading of PSA antibodies. In addition, the AuNPs/MoS2-GAs composite has good conductivity, which could accelerate the electron transport of the electrode interface. Based on these advantages of AuNPs/MoS2-GAs material, the prepared immunosensor exhibited wide linearity in the range of 0.00001–50 ng mL−1 and a low detection limit of 0.003 pg mL−1. The immunosensor also exhibited acceptable stability, good selectivity, and reproducibility. Moreover, when applied to analyze PSA in human serum, the immunosensor obtained good recovervries, indicating the method shows a promising application for early diagnosis of PSA.

Abstract:A Fe-loaded Bi2O2S nanosheet photoanode serving as photoelectric biomonitoring platform for the detection of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) using biologically inspired prussian nanoparticle (PB)-catalyzed biocatalytic precipitation strategy was developed. Primarily, the signal probe PB-mAb2 obtained by electrostatic adsorption was immobilized on a microplate in the presence of target PSA, and 4-chloro-1-naphthol (4-CN) was oxidized to benzo-4-chloro-hexadienone (4-CD) with the assistance of exogenous hydrogen peroxide, which was generated by a large number of hydroxyl radicals catalyzed by PB. The generated 4-CD showed strongly low conductivity characteristics to burst the photocurrent of highly photoactive Fe-Bi2O2S photoanode. The split incubation reaction could be suitable for high volume and low-cost rapid detection. A dynamic response range of 0.1-100 ng mL-1 with a limit of detection of 34.2 pg mL-1 was achieved with the sensor based on a photoelectric sensing platform and a biomimetic catalytic precipitation reaction. Equally important, the sensor also showed good potential in the detection of real samples compared to commercially available ELISA kits. In conclusion, this work provides a fresh scheme for the development of sensitive biosensors through a bio-inspired catalytic strategy of versatility and a photoanode coupling with high photoelectric activity.

Abstract:Development of new strategies in photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensors is an important way to realize sensitive detection of biomolecule. In this study, mesoporous silica nanospheres (MSNs)-assisted split-type PEC aptasensor with in situ generation of Bi2S3 was proposed to achieve reliable detection of prostate-specific antigen (PSA). To be more specific, this bioresponsive release system will release large amounts of Na2S by the reaction between PSA and aptamer that capped Na2S-loading MSNs. Next, the Na2S reacts with Bi to yield BiOI/BiOBr/Bi2S3 composite, which leads to an alteration in the electron-hole transfer pathway of the photoelectric material and a decrease in the response. As the PSA concentration increases, more Na2S can be released and lower photocurrent is obtained. The linear range under the optimal experimental conditions is 10 pg·mL-1-1 μg⋅mL-1, and the detection limit is 1.23 pg⋅mL-1, which has satisfactory stability and anti-interference.

A novel chemiluminescence imaging immunosensor for prostate specific antigen detection based on a multiple signal amplification strategy

Abstract:A novel chemiluminescence (CL) imaging platform was constructed for prostate specific antigen (PSA) detection in a multiple signal amplifying manner. To construct the platform, the primary antibody for PSA was firstly immobilized on a O-ring area of a glass slide for recognizing the PSA. The horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and the secondary antibody of PSA (Ab2) functionalized Au NPs (HRP-Au NPs-Ab2) were modified on the platform through immunoreaction between PSA and Ab2. The excellent catalytic effect of Au NPs and HRP on the HRP-Au NPs-Ab2 to the luminol-H2O2 CL system provided the dual-signal amplification for PSA detection. To further enhance the sensitivity, tyramine signal amplification (TSA) strategy was introduced: tyramine-HRP conjugates were added into the O-ring reservoir and thus tyramine-HRP repeats formed in the presence of H2O2, generating a multiple signal amplification because of the large amounts of HRP on the sensing interface. The excellent performance of HRP-Au NPs-Ab2 and TSA strategy endows the CL platform with high sensitivity. The PSA was detected with a photomultiplier tube (PMT) and visually analyzed by a charge coupled device (CCD), respectively. The linear ranges of PMT and CCD for PSA are 0.1 – 100.0 ng mL-1 with a detection limit of 0.05 pg mL-1 and 0.5–100.0 ng mL-1 with a detection limit of 0.1 pg mL-1, respectively. The levels of PSA in several human serum samples were determined and the recoveries are ranged from 82.5%–117.0%. This CL immunosensing platform holds great potential for bioactive molecules detection visually and sensitively.

Disposition of levetiracetam in healthy adult horses

Abstract:Nine horses received 20 mg/kg of intravenous (LEVIV ); 30 mg/kg of intragastric, crushed immediate release (LEVCIR ); and 30 mg/kg of intragastric, crushed extended release (LEVCER ) levetiracetam, in a three-way randomized crossover design. Crushed tablets were dissolved in water and administered by nasogastric tube. Serum samples were collected over 48 hr, and levetiracetam concentrations were determined by immunoassay. Mean ± SD peak concentrations for LEVCIR and LEVCER were 50.72 ± 10.60 and 53.58 ± 15.94 μg/ml, respectively. The y-intercept for IV administration was 64.54 ± 24.99 μg/ml. The terminal half-life was 6.38 ± 1.97, 7.07 ± 1.93 and 6.22 ± 1.35 hr for LEVCIR , LEVCER, and LEVIV , respectively. Volume of distribution at steady-state was 630 ± 73.4 ml/kg. Total body clearance after IV administration was 74.40 ± 19.20 ml kg-1 hr-1 . Bioavailability was 96 ± 10, and 98 ± 13% for LEVCIR and LEVCER , respectively. A single dose of Levetiracetam (LEV) was well tolerated. Based on this study, a recommended dosing regimen of intravenous or oral LEV of 32 mg/kg every 12 hr is likely to achieve and maintain plasma concentrations within the therapeutic range suggested for humans, with optimal kinetics throughout the dosing interval in healthy adult horses. Repeated dosing and pharmacodynamic studies are warranted.

Abstract:Nanozymes have been regarded as an excellent alternative for natural enzymes because of their high stability, low cost, and high activity. However, their use in disease diagnosis is still challenging, since the complex biological samples foul the nanozymes' surface and generate interference signals, thereby compromising the performance of nanozyme-based assays. Here, we report a dual-readout, CsPbBr3 NCs-based sandwich immunoassay for the detection of prostate specific antigen (PSA). Thanks to their excellent fluorescence and intrinsic peroxidase-like catalytic activity, the designed phospholipid-coated CsPbBr3 NCs (PL-CsPbBr3 NCs) served as an attractive dual signal generator (fluorescent and colorimetric), which is hardly achieved by other nanozymes. The Michaelis-Menten constant (KM) values of PL-CsPbBr3 NCs for H2O2 and tetramethylbenzidine are 2.85 mM and 1.42 mM, respectively. Meanwhile, the lipid shell around CsPbBr3 NCs not only greatly improves their aqueous stability, but also helps them resist the unspecific adsorption of biological impurities. Thus, the proposed dual-readout immunoassay enables precise, cost-effective, and anti-jamming detection of PSA in real serum samples with a low detection limit of 0.29 ng mL-1 (colorimetric) and 0.081 ng mL-1 (fluorescence). This enhanced immunoassay opens new insights for the application of perovskites in bioanalysis, especially for protein assay, holding great potential for disease diagnosis.

Abstract:A novel fluorescence aptasensor based on PCN-223 as an efficient quencher was developed to sensitively detect prostate-specific antigen (PSA). The 5-carboxytetramethylrhodamine (TAMRA)-labeled PSA aptamer was adsorbed on PCN-223 by π-π stacking and hydrogen-bonding interactions, which contributed to fluorescence quenching because of the photoinduced electron transfer from TAMRA to PCN-223. In addition, the amount of quenched fluorescence of the PSA-binding aptamer complex-PCN-223 was lower than that of TAMRA aptamer-PCN-223 without PSA (at excitation/emission peaks of 545/582 nm), which can be explained by the fact that the PSA-binding aptamer complexes contributed to the separation of the aptamer from PCN-223. ∆F value of fluorescence intensities for TAMRA aptamer-PCN-223 with and without PSA showed a good linear relationship with PSA concentration over a range of 0.1 to 24 ng mL-1, with a detection limit of 0.05 ng mL-1. Compared with three metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) of UiO-66-NH2, ZIF-67, and Ni3(HITP)2 as quenchers, PCN-223 as a Zr-MOF exhibited the highest ∆F value for PSA detection. The advantage of PCN-223 could be attributed to its carboxyl, benzene, and porphyrin groups, the large specific surface area and good biocompatibility. This proposed aptasensor can be successfully used to detect PSA in sera of prostate cancer patients. The PSA detection results of this aptasensor were consistent with those which were obtained from hospital by Archtecti2000sr automatic chemiluminescence immunoanalyzer. The proposed aptasensor has potential clinical detection application.
