Abstract:Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi (Gegen) is a nutritious medicine food homology plant that has been recorded in many ancient remedies for diabetes. However, its hypoglycemic active components and related mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. In this study, potential alpha-glucosidase inhibitors in Pueraria lobata were investigated by liquid-liquid refined extraction, high-resolution profiling and their hypoglycemic activity were evaluated. Ten compounds showing alpha-glucosidase inhibitory bioactivity were separated and identified, including two new compounds, 8-geranyl-7, 3', 4' -trihydroxy-isoflavone (4) and 8-geranyl-7, 2', 4'-trihydroxy-isoflavone (6), and eight known compounds. All screened compounds showed potential hypoglycemic activity, in which compounds 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 showed strong inhibitory activity (IC50 < 8 mu M). Furthermore, molecular docking simulation revealed binding energy and interacting amino acid residues of the screened compounds with alpha-glucosidase, strongly supporting their potential as alpha-glucosidase inhibitors.
Rapid Screening of Lipase Inhibitors from Fructus Aurantii Using Lipase-Immobilized Magnetic Beads Coupled with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Abstract:A new method for the rapidly screening of lipase inhibitors from extracts of traditional Chinese medicine using lipase-immobilized magnetic beads coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS) was proposed. After the lipase-immobilized magnetic beads were prepared, they were incubated with total flavonoid of Fructus aurantii to fish the ligands of lipase. Then, the eluent of magnetic beads' screening was analyzed by LC-MS. Four compounds, as naringin, hesperidin, neohesperidin and poncirin, were identified as the potential lipase inhibitors. Furthermore, the in vitro inhibitory activities against lipase of four compounds were tested. The results showed that hesperidin, neohesperidin and poncirin exhibit lipase inhibitory activities, while poncirin was firstly reported to be a lipase inhibitor. Our research showed that active compounds could be rapidly screened from extracts of traditional Chinese medicine via lipase-immobilized magnetic beads coupled with LC-MS.
Efficient Screening of Pancreatic Lipase Inhibitors from Rheum Palmatum by Affinity Ultrafiltration-High-performance Liquid Chromatography Combined with High-Resolution Inhibition Profiling

Abstract:Introduction: Pancreatic lipase is one of the most important key targets in the treatment of obesity. Inhibition of pancreatic lipase can effectively reduce lipid absorption and treat obesity and other related metabolic disorders.Objectives: The goal of this study is the efficient screening of pancreatic lipase inhibitors in the root and rhizome of Rheum palmatum using affinity ultrafiltration-high-performance liquid chromatography (AUF-HPLC) combined with high-resolution inhibition profiling (HRIP).Methods: Potential pancreatic lipase ligands and pancreatic lipase inhibitors in ethyl acetate fraction of R. palmatum were screened using AUF-HPLC and HRIP, respectively. All screened compounds were identified by HPLC- quadrupole time-of-flight (Q-TOF)/MS. Eight compounds were screened out by both AUF-HPLC and HRIP, and six compounds were screened out by either AUF-HPLC or HRIP alone. The pancreatic lipase inhibitory activities of all screened compounds were verified by enzyme inhibition assay and molecular docking.Results: Five new potent pancreatic lipase inhibitors were discovered, namely procyanidin B5 3,3 '-di-O-gallate (IC50 = 0.06 +/- 0.01 mu M), 1,6-di-O-galloyl-2-O-cinnamoyl-beta-D-glucoside (IC50 = 12.83 +/- 0.67 mu M), 1-O-(1,3,5-trihydroxy)phenyl-2-O-galloyl-6-O-cinnamoyl-beta-D-glucoside (IC50 = 17.84 +/- 1.33 mu M), 1,2-di-O-galloyl-6-O-cinnamoyl-beta-D-glucoside (IC50 = 18.39 +/- 1.52 mu M), and 4-(4 '-hydroxyphenyl)-2-butanone-4'-O-beta-D-(2"-O-galloyl-6"-O-cinnamoyl)-glucoside (IC50 = 2.91 +/- 0.40 mu M). It was found that procyanidin B5 3,3 '-di-O-gallate showed higher pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity than the positive control orlistat (IC50 = 0.12 +/- 0.02 mu M).Conclusion: The combination of affinity ultrafiltration-high-performance liquid chromatography (AUF-HPLC) and high-resolution inhibition profiling (HRIP) could reduce the risk of false-negative screening and missed screening and could achieve more efficient screening of bioactive compounds in complex natural products.
Simultaneous Chemical Fingerprinting and Quantitative Analysis of Crude and Processed Radix Scrophulariae from Different Locations in China by HPLC.

Abstract:A validated liquid chromatography method was first developed to evaluate the quality of crude and processed Radix Scrophulariae extracts through establishing chromatographic fingerprint and simultaneous determination of five bioactive compounds, namely 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF), acteoside, angroside C, harpagoside and cinnamic acid. The chromatographic were separated on an Agilent Zorbax Extend C(18) column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) and detected by diode array detector (DAD). Mobile phase was composed of (A) aqueous phosphoric acid (0.03%, v/v) and (B) acetonitrile using a gradient elution. Analytes were performed at 30 °C with a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and UV detection at 280 nm. All calibration curves showed good linear regression (r(2) ≥0.9996) within the tested ranges, and the recovery of the method was in the range of 98.12-103.38%, with RSD values ranging from 0.6 to 2.8%. In addition, the contents of those five bioactive compounds in crude and processed Radix Scrophulariae prepared by different locations of China were determined to establish the effectiveness of the method. The results demonstrate that the developed method is accurate and reproducible and could be readily utilized as a suitable quality control method for the quantification of Radix Scrophulariae.
Identification and Isolation of α-Glucosidase Inhibitors from Siraitia grosvenorii Roots Using Bio-Affinity Ultrafiltration and Comprehensive Chromatography

Abstract:The discovery of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants has played a crucial role in drug discovery. In this study, a simple and efficient method utilizing affinity-based ultrafiltration (UF) coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was developed for the rapid screening and targeted separation of α-glucosidase inhibitors from Siraitia grosvenorii roots. First, an active fraction of S. grosvenorii roots (SGR2) was prepared, and 17 potential α-glucosidase inhibitors were identified based on UF-HPLC analysis. Second, guided by UF-HPLC, a combination of MCI gel CHP-20P column chromatography, high-speed counter-current countercurrent chromatography, and preparative HPLC were conducted to isolate the compounds producing active peaks. Sixteen compounds were successfully isolated from SGR2, including two lignans and fourteen cucurbitane-type triterpenoids. The structures of the novel compounds (4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11) were elucidated using spectroscopic methods, including one- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. Finally, the α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of the isolated compounds were verified via enzyme inhibition assays and molecular docking analysis, all of which were found to exhibit certain inhibitory activity. Compound 14 exhibited the strongest inhibitory activity, with an IC50 value of 430.13 ± 13.33 μM, which was superior to that of acarbose (1332.50 ± 58.53 μM). The relationships between the structures of the compounds and their inhibitory activities were also investigated. Molecular docking showed that the highly active inhibitors interacted with α-glucosidase through hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions. Our results demonstrate the beneficial effects of S. grosvenorii roots and their constituents on α-glucosidase inhibition.

Abstract:We present a simple and efficient method based on ultrafiltration high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with a photodiode array detector and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry for the rapid screening and identification of ligands obtainable from the extract of Scutellaria baicalensis. Five major compounds (chrysin-6-C-arabinosyl-8-C-glucoside, chrysin-6-C-glucosyl-8-C-arabinoside, baicalin, oroxylin A-7-O-glucuronide, and wogonoside) were identified as potentially effective inhibitors of lipoxidase and superoxide dismutase. Subsequently, specific binding ligands were separated by high-speed countercurrent chromatography, using ethyl acetate/ethyl alcohol/water acetate (0.1%) (1.0:0.1:1.0, v/v/v) as the solvent system. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of S. baicalensis extracts containing potent lipoxidase and superoxide dismutase inhibitors. Our results demonstrate that the systematic isolation of bioactive components from the n-butyl alcohol layer of S. baicalensis guided by ultrafiltration high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with photodiode array detection and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry represents a feasible and efficient technique that could also be employed for the identification and isolation of other enzyme inhibitors.

Abstract:An ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (QTOF/MS) method is established for the rapid analysis of isoflavones, saponins and flavones in 16 samples originated from the flowers of Pueraria lobata and P. thomsonii. A total of 25 isoflavones, 13 saponins and 3 flavones were identified by co-chromatography of sample extract with authentic standards and comparing the retention time, UV spectra, characteristic molecular ions and fragment ions with those of authentic standards, or tentatively identified by MS/MS determination along with Mass Fragment software. Moreover, the method was validated for the simultaneous quantification of 29 components. The samples from two Pueraria flowers significantly differed in the quality and quantity of isoflavones, saponins and flavones, which allows the possibility of showing their chemical distinctness, and may be useful in their standardization and quality control. Dataset obtained from UPLC-MS was processed with principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squared discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) to holistically compare the difference between both Pueraria flowers.
Rapid screening and purification of potential inhibitors from Medicago sativa by ultrafiltration-liquid chromatography combined with stepwise flow rate counter-current chromatography

Abstract:Introduction: Medicago sativa contains flavonoids, saponins, coumarins, sterols, monoterpenes, and organic acids, with flavonoids being the main active constituents. Flavonoids naturally contain a 2-phenylchromone structure with antioxidant, free radical scavenging, cardiovascular, and trace estrogen-like effects. Objective: Screening and isolation of neuraminidase, lipoxidase, and lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors from M. sativa via ultrafiltration-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (UF-LC-MS) combined with stepwise flow rate counter-current chromatography (CCC). Method: Utilising the medicinal plants M. sativa as the research objects and UF-LC-MS was used for activity screening followed by isolation and purification of the inhibitors by stepwise flow rate CCC. Finally, identification of the three active compounds was achieved by MS and nuclear magnetic resonance. Results: Three major compounds, viz. quercetin, genistein, and formononetin, were identified as potent neuraminidase, lipoxidase, and lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors, respectively. A two-phase solvent system of ethyl acetate/methanol/n-butanol/water (5.0:1.5:5.0:10; v/v/v/v) was subsequently selected for separation by stepwise flow rate CCC. Conclusion: This novel approach based on UF-LC-MS and stepwise flow rate CCC represents a powerful tool for the screening and isolation of neuraminidase, lipoxidase, and lactate dehydrogenase inhibitors from complex matrices. Therefore, a useful platform for the large-scale production of bioactive and nutraceutical ingredients was developed herein.

Abstract:A variety of bioactive substances may account for the recognized efficacy and wide clinical application of Psoraleae Fructus in China. A high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) fingerprint method was developed to present the comprehensive phytochemical profile of the crude drug. Thirteen major compounds were separated and identified by HPLC coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC/TOF-MS), namely psoralenoside (PO), isopsoralenoside (IPO), psoralen (PS), isopsoralen (IPS), neobavaisoflavone (NBF), bavachin (BC), corylin (CN), bavachromene (BCM), psoralidin (PD), isobavachalcone (IBC), bacachinin (BCN), corylifol A (CA) and bakuchiol (BK). Then quantitative analysis of multiple components by single marker (QAMS) was applied in content determination of PO, IPO, PS, IPS, BC, IBC, BCN, CA and BK, with NBF as the internal standard. The calculation results indicated no significant difference from the traditional external standard method (p > 0.05, RSD < 2.62%), suggesting that QAMS is a reliable and convenient method for content determination of multiple chemical compositions, especially when there is a shortage of reference substances. In conclusion, simultaneous qualitative and quantitative analysis of Psoraleae Fructus may be fulfilled through the newly proposed method of QAMS combined with HPLC-DAD/TOF-MS fingerprint.

Abstract:In this study, a deep eutectic solvent (DES) extraction combined with a magnetic bead ligand affinity analytical method was developed and used for α‐glucosidase inhibitor identification from Pueraria lobata. Several critical parameters affecting the analysis performance, including the type of DES, molar ratio, water amount, pH, salt concentration, and volume of DES, were investigated. The selected analytical sample preparation conditions were as follows. The composition of DES is choline chloride‐1,4‐butanediol (1:3), the water content is 40%, pH is 7.0 and the volume of extraction solution is 2 mL. The obtained sample extraction solution was analyzed directly using α‐glucosidase immobilized magnetic beads (GMBs). Three α‐glucosidase inhibitors in Pueraria lobata, including puerarin, daidzin, and daidzein, were identified. Luteolin was used as a positive control to evaluate the method's selectivity. Results showed it could selectively bond to the GMBs in the DES. As the affinity analysis was performed directly in a DES, the solution‐removing process could be avoided. The intra‐day and inter‐day precisions of the method are 5.21% and 6.38%, respectively. The solvent amount was 1/50–1/2000 of that used in traditional methods.

Abstract:Fructus Gardeniae-Fructus Forsythiae herb pair is an herbal formula used extensively to treat inflammation and fever, but few systematic identification studies of the bioactive components have been reported. Herein, the unknown analogues in the first-step screening were rapidly identified from representative compounds in different structure types (geniposide as iridoid type, crocetin as crocetin type, jasminoside B as monocyclic monoterpene type, oleanolic acid as saponin type, 3-caffeoylquinic acid as organic acid type, forsythoside A as phenylethanoid type, phillyrin as lignan type and quercetin 3-rutinoside as flavonoid type) by UPLC-Q-Tof/MS combined with mass defect filtering (MDF), and further confirmed with reference standards and published literatures. Similarly, in the second step, other unknown components were rapidly discovered from the compounds identified in the first step by MDF. Using the two-step screening method, a total of 58 components were characterized in Fructus Gardeniae-Fructus Forsythiae (FG-FF) decoction. In rat's blood, 36 compounds in extract and 16 metabolites were unambiguously or tentatively identified. Besides, we found the principal metabolites were glucuronide conjugates, with the glucuronide conjugates of caffeic acid, quercetin and kaempferol confirmed as caffeic acid 3-glucuronide, quercetin 3-glucuronide and kaempferol 3-glucuronide by reference standards, respectively. Additionally, most of them bound more strongly to human serum albumin than their respective prototypes, predicted by Molecular Docking and Simulation, indicating that they had lower blood clearance in vivo and possibly more contribution to pharmacological effects. This study developed a novel two-step screening method in addressing how to comprehensively screen components in herbal medicine by UPLC-Q-Tof/MS with MDF.

Abstract:Shenqi Jiangtang Granule, a well-known traditional Chinese herbal preparation, has been widely used for the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus. In this work, an ultrafiltration liquid chromatography with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry method was proposed for the rapid identification of bioactive ingredients from Shenqi Jiangtang Granule using α-glucosidase as an example. First, the chemical profile of this preparation was clarified, including 37 saponins, 17 flavonoids, 37 lignans, and seven other compounds. After incubation with α-glucosidase in vitro, the methanol extract with an IC50 value of 0.19 mg/mL exhibited significant inhibitory activity. Then, 18 specific binding peaks were screened, and 15 peaks were identified. Among these, ten compounds were reported to have potential α-glucosidase inhibitory activity for the first time. Subsequently, the inhibitory activities of these active compounds were evaluated by ultraviolet spectrophotometry with p-nitrophenyl α-d-glucopyranoside as a substrate. As a result, gomisin J and gomisin D exhibited stronger α-glucosidase inhibitory activities than other active compounds with IC50 values of 77.69 and 133.85 μM, respectively. The results demonstrated that the integrated ultrafiltration liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry method was an effective and powerful tool for the discovery of active ingredients in Shenqi Jiangtang Granule.
Very-high-strength (60-GPa) carbon nanotube fiber design based on molecular dynamics simulations.

Abstract:The mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes such as low density, high stiffness, and exceptional strength make them ideal candidates for reinforcement material in a wide range of high-performance composites. Molecular dynamics simulations are used to predict the tensile response of fibers composed of aligned carbon nanotubes with intermolecular bonds of interstitial carbon atoms. The effects of bond density and carbon nanotube length distribution on fiber strength and stiffness are investigated. The interstitial carbon bonds significantly increase load transfer between the carbon nanotubes over that obtained with van der Waals forces. The simulation results indicate that fibers with tensile strengths to 60 GPa could be produced by employing interstitial cross-link atoms. The elastic modulus of the fibers is also increased by the bonds.

Abstract:Astragalus membranaceus is a traditional Chinese medicine with multiple pharmacological activities. Modern pharmacological research has found that Astragalus membranaceus extract has an inhibitory effect on α-glucosidase, however, which component can inhibit the activity of α-glucosidase and its degree of inhibition are unknown. To address this issue, this study used affinity ultrafiltration screening combined with UPLC-ESI-Orbitrap-MS technology to screen α-glucosidase inhibitors in Astragalus membranaceus . Using affinity ultrafiltration technology, we obtained the active components, and using UPLC-ESI-Orbitrap-MS technology, we quickly analyzed and identified them. As a result, a total of 8 ingredients were selected as α-glucosidase inhibitors.

Abstract:Tyrosinase inhibitors with excellent inhibitory activities and lower side effects have promising applications in the fields of medicine, agriculture, food sciences and cosmetics. In this study, a method for simultaneous separation and determination of six target compounds (puerarin, daidzin, genistein, daidzein, genistin, and formononetin) in Puerariae Lobatae Radix was established by cloud point extraction (CPE) and concentration combined with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). To achieve high extraction yields, an ultrasound-assisted extraction method was developed based on a salt-modified Triton X-100 system. The optimal extraction conditions are: surfactant Triton X-100 concentration 0.07 g/mL, liquid-solid ratio 80:1 (mL/g), NaCl addition amount 0.6 g, equilibrium time 40 min, equilibrium temperature 70 °C. Under the optimal conditions, the total maximum extraction yield of the six target isoflavones reached 8.92 mg/g. Using l-tyrosine and l-dopa as substrates, the effects of puerarin on the monophenolase and diphenolase activity of tyrosinase activity were investigated by the enzyme kinetics method. The results showed that puerarin inhibited monophenolase activity with an IC50 of 0.537 mg/mL and activated diphenolase activity. The inhibition type of puerarin on monophenolase and the activation type of puerarin on diphenolase were analyzed by Lineweaver-Burk plots which show that puerarin showed mixed inhibition on monophenolase and mixed activation on diphenolase. Therefore, puerarin can be used as both a tyrosinase inhibitor and a tyrosinase activator.

Rapid and comprehensive profiling of α-glucosidase inhibitors in Buddleja Flos by ultrafiltration HPLC–QTOF-MS/MS with diagnostic ions filtering strategy

Abstract:Buddleja Flos is used as yellow rice colorant and a well-known traditional Chinese medicine. But its biochemical profiling is still lack due to complex matrix. Here, ultrafiltration high-performance liquid chromatograph–quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC–QTOF-MS/MS) with diagnostic ions filtering strategy was proposed for rapid and comprehensive investigation of its α-glucosidase inhibitors. As a result, 33 bioactive compounds (13 phenylethanoid glycosides and 20 flavonoids) were successfully screened and identified. In addition, α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of twenty-two references were verified. Six flavonoid aglycones (4, 28, and 30–33) showed excellent α-glucosidase inhibitory activities (IC50, from 5.11 ± 0.85 to 32.49 ± 9.76 μg/mL), much higher than that of acarbose (IC50, 195.49 ± 10.05 μg/mL). Five flavonoid-monoglycosides (7, 12, 13, 20, and 22) presented moderate inhibitory activities with IC50 from 160.98 ± 23.19 to 249.37 ± 35.83 μg/mL. Results showcased the high efficiency of proposed strategy in profiling of bioactive compounds from natural products.

Abstract:Sulfurous compounds are commonly present in plants, fungi, and animals. Most of them were reported to possess various bioactivities. Isotopic pattern filter (IPF) is a powerful tool for screening compounds with distinct isotope pattern. Over the past decades, the IPF was used mainly to study Cl- and Br-containing compounds. To our knowledge, the algorithm was scarcely used to screen S-containing compounds, especially when combined with chromatography analyses, because the (34)S isotopic ion is drastically affected by (13)C2 and (18)O. Thus, we present a new method for a fine isotopic pattern filter (FIPF) based on the separated M + 2 ions ((12)C(x)(1)H(y)(16)O(z)(32)S(13)C2(18)O, (12)C(x+2)(1)H(y)(16)O(z+1)(34)S, tentatively named M + 2OC and M + 2S) with an ultra-high-resolution mass (100,000 FWHM @ 400 m/z) to screen sulfur derivatives in traditional Chinese medicines (TCM).This finer algorithm operates through convenient filters, including an accurate mass shift of M + 2OC and M + 2S from M and their relative intensity compared to M. The method was validated at various mass resolutions, mass accuracies, and screening thresholds of flexible elemental compositions. Using the established FIPF method, twelve S-derivatives were found in the popular medicinal used Pueraria species, and 9 of them were tentatively identified by high-resolution multiple stage mass spectrometry (HRMS(n)). The compounds were used to evaluate the sulfurous compounds' situation in commercially purchased Pueraria products. The strategy presented here provides a promising application of the IPF method in a new field.
Bioassay-guided preparative separation of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitory C-flavone glycosides from Desmodium styracifolium by recycling complexation high-speed counter-current chromatography

Abstract:A new strategy of the convergence of high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) and bioactive assay technique was developed for rapidly screening and separating the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors from the aerial parts of Desmodium styracifolium. Bioactivity-guided fractionation of the crude extract was first established to target the bioactive fractions based on HSCCC coupled with in vitro ACE inhibitory assay. Subsequently, the bioactive fractions were further separated by the recycling complexation HSCCC respectively, using 0.10 mol/L copper sulfate in the lower phase of two-phase solvent system composed of n-butanol/water (1:1, v/v). Five C-glycosylflavones, vicenin 2 (1), carlinoside (2), vicenin 1 (3), schaftoside (4) and vicenin 3 (5), were successfully obtained. Their chemical structures were identified using ESI-MS and NMR. All the isolates showed in vitro ACE inhibitory activity with the IC50 values between 33.62 and 58.37 μM. The results demonstrated that the established method was proposed as an excellent strategy to systematically screen and purify active compounds from traditional Chinese medicines.

Abstract:The emergence of multidrug-resistant bacteria is a growing challenge for healthcare in the treatment of infectious diseases. In particular, nosocomial infections are getting out of control and reduce the likelihood to recover without, sometimes lethal, complications and long-term damage. Current antibiotics are unable to keep nosocomial infections in check and novel ones move only reluctantly forward and are expected to only delay the problem of multidrug resistance. Progress made in the identification of suitable pathogen targets, a better understanding of host–parasite interactions and the recent inclusion of monoclonal antibodies into the arsenal of novel therapies has provoked the interest to revitalize a historical concept of medicine to treat and prevent bacterial infections with antibodies.

Abstract:Polygoni Vivipari Rhizoma (PVR), the dried root of Polygonum viviparum, has been used as herbal medicine in China for a long time. In the present study, a new method based on multi-step matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD), ultrafiltration and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for screening alpha-glucosidase inhibitors (AGIs) from PVR was proposed. First, three different PVR extractions were prepared by multi-step MSPD with 15% methanol, 60% methanol and 100% methanol. Second, the alpha-glucosidase inhibition tests for the three extracts were carried out, and the 60% methanol extraction showed the best activity. Then, the AGIs screening experiment was performed with ultrafiltration and HPLC analysis using the 60% methanol extraction. Seven binding components (quercetin−3−O−vicianoside, quercetin 3−O−neohesperidoside, rutin, hyperoside, quercetin 3−O−glucuronide, luteolin−7−O−neohesperidoside, kaempferol 3−glucuronide) were found. These seven components were further validated as the AGIs by molecular docking analysis. The developed method was a rapid and efficient tool for screening AGIs from PVR, which provided scientific data for the bioactive components study of PVR.
