Abstract:Pseudoportomesenteric hypertension is a form of non-cirrhotic portal hypertension that is extra-hepatic in etiology, typically due to obstruction from venous thrombi, external compression by intra-abdominal masses, or congenital anomalies. Treatment is aimed at addressing the underlying cause of obstruction.
