Abstract:{gamma}-ray-initiated shower cascades in the atmosphere were observed by a detector loaded on a cargo airplane with an angular resolution of approximately 1{degree}. The {gamma}-ray threshold was estimated to be 40 GeV. A peak search was carried out in the region of {minus}40{degree}{lt}{ital l}{lt}80{degree} {minus}30{degree}{lt}{ital b}{lt}30{degree} with a bin size of 2{degree}{times}2{degree}. We observed nine {gamma}-ray point-source candidates. Of these, eight sources were distributed along the galactic plane. The strongest source candidate (4.4{sigma} peak) was located at ({ital l},{ital b}) = (39{degree},2{degree}). The integral intensities of these sources were typically several times 10{sup {minus}8} cm{sup {minus}2} s{sup {minus}1} at 40 GeV.
