Abstract:Density functional theory studies of TAAR1 (trace amine associated receptor 1) partial agonist RO5263397 carried out with precise and detailed spectroscopic investigation as well as validated experimentally. FT-IR, confocal Raman and UV–visible spectroscopic techniques were used to characterize the compound and corresponding theoretical calculations were carried out using DFT/B3LYP method with 6-311++G (d,p) basis set. Estimated and observed vibrational wavenumbers of the compound were assigned. UV–visible spectrum and FMOs (frontier molecular orbital) analysis reveals that the polarity affects the molecular reactivity and stability of the compound. Donor – acceptor interaction and second order perturbation energy have been explained using natural bond orbital analysis clarify the presence hydrogen bonds in the system. ELF and LOL studies visualises the localized and delocalized electrons in the title compound. RDG analysis evidences the various interactions present in the monomer and dimer of RO5263397. The structural importance of the compound were clearly examined using NMR spectral analysis. The existence of hydrogen bonding is validated by reactive site findings from Mulliken atomic charge distribution and molecule electrostatic potential surface studies. Information about distinct drug-receptor interactions obtained from molecular docking investigation offers the path of further study of molecular activity in various drug-receptor mechanism.

Abstract:The Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and FT-Raman spectra of Lornoxicam were recorded in the region 4000–450 cm−1 and 4000–50 cm−1 respectively. Density functional theory (DFT) has been used to calculate the optimized geometrical parameters, atomic charges, and vibrational wavenumbers and intensity of the vibrational bands. The computed vibrational wave numbers were compared with the FT-IR and FT-Raman experimental data. The computational calculations at DFT/B3LYP level with 6-31G(d,p) and 6–31++G(d,p) basis sets. The complete vibrational assignments were performed on the basis of the potential energy distribution (PED) of the Vibrational modes calculated using Vibrational Energy Distribution Analysis (VEDA 4) program. The oscillator's strength calculated by TD-DFT and Lornoxicam is approach complement with the experimental findings. The NMR chemical shifts 13C and 1H were recorded and calculated using the gauge independent atomic orbital (GIAO) method. The Natural charges and intermolecular contacts have been interpreted using Natural Bond orbital (NBO) analysis and the HOMO–LUMO energy gap has been calculated. The thermodynamic properties like Entropy, Enthalpy, Specific heat capacity and zero vibrational energy have been calculated. Besides, molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) was investigated using theoretical calculations.

Abstract:In this present methodical study, on the basis of the density functional theory (DFT), the first-principles calculations have been employed successfully to study the structural and electronic properties of N-acetyl-DL-methionine (C7H13NO3S) which is a derivative of DL-methionine which is also known DL-2-amino-4-methyl-thiobutanoic acid. Optimized molecular structure, vibrational frequencies and also 13C and 1H NMR chemical shift values of the title compound are provided in a detailed manner by using B3LYP and HSEH1PBE functionals by applying 6-311++G(d,p) basis set for calculations using Gaussian 09W program. The comparison of the calculated values with the experimental values provides important information about the title compound. In addition, the electronic properties (UV-Vis calculations) of the title compound, such as HOMO-LUMO energy values and energy gap, absorption wavelengths, oscillator strengths were performed basing on the optimized structure in gas phase. Moreover, the molecular electrostatic potential surface, dipole moment, nonlinear optical properties, linear polarizabilities and first hyperpolarizabilities and chemical parameters have also been studied.

Abstract:Quantum chemical calculations of ground state energy, geometrical structure and vibrational wavenumbers, nuclear magnetic behaviors, electronic absorption spectra along with the nonlinear optical properties of 2-(2-benzothiazolylthio)-ethanol (BTZTE) were carried out using density functional (DFT/B3LYP) method with 6-311++G(d,p) as basis set. The FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra were measured in the condensed state. The fundamental vibrational wavenumbers as well as their intensities were calculated, and a good correlation between experimental and scaled calculated wavenumbers was accomplished. The electric dipole moment, polarizability and the first hyperpolarizability values of the BTZTE were calculated at the same level of theory and basis set. The results show that the BTZTE molecule possesses nonlinear optical (NLO) behavior with non-zero values. Stability of the molecule arising from hyper-conjugative interactions and charge delocalization was analyzed using natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis. UV spectrum of the studied molecule was recorded in the region 200-500nm and the electronic properties were predicted by time-dependent DFT approach. The calculated transition energies are in good concurrency with the experimental data. (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) chemical shifts of the title molecule were calculated by the gauge independent atomic orbital (GIAO) method and compared with experimental results. The thermodynamic properties of the studied compound at different temperatures were calculated. Global and local reactivity descriptors were computed to predict reactivity and reactive sites on the molecule.

Abstract:FT-Raman and FT-IR spectra were recorded for1-(5-methyl-[1,3,4]thiadiazol-2-yl)-pyrolidin-2-ol (MTPN) sample in solid state. The equilibrium geometries, harmonic vibrational frequencies, IR and the Raman scattering intensities were computed using DFT/6-311++G (d,p) level. Results obtained at this level of theory were used for a detailed interpretation of the IR and Raman spectra, based on the TED of the normal modes. Molecular parameters such as bond lengths, bond angles and dihedral angles were calculated. The intra-molecular charge transfer was calculated by means of NBO. Hyperconjugative interaction energy was more during the π-π(∗) transition. Energy gap of the molecule has been found using HOMO and LUMO calculation, hence the less band gap, which seems to be more stable.

Abstract:In order to deeply understand the spectroscopic characteristics of L-glutamic acid and L-tyrosine in the terahertz region, terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) was used to measure the absorption coefficient and refractive index of L-glutamic acid and L-tyrosine in their polycrystalline state at room temperature. A number of well-resolved absorption peaks were observed in the range of frequencies from 0.2 to 2.0 THz, which are interpreted as originating from inter- and intramolecular vibrational modes. The average refractive indices of L-glutamic acid and L-tyrosine are 1.56 and 1.47, respectively. In parallel with the experimental study, density functional theory was applied to obtain structure and vibrational frequencies of the isolated L-glutamic acid and L-tyrosine molecules in gas phase. The vibrational spectra were assigned according to the calculations. Results show that the theoretical calculations are in good agreement with the experimental data and the absorption peaks originate from inter- and intramolecular collective vibrational modes.

Abstract:Vibrational spectral analysis was carried out for 4-Vinyl Benzoic acid (4VBA) by using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and FT-Raman spectroscopy in the range of 400–4000 and 50–3500 cm−1 respectively. The optimized geometrical parameters were computationally obtained at the DFT/B3LYP level of theory. The distribution of the vibrational bands was carried out with the help of normal coordinate analysis (NCA). The resulting harmonic wavenumbers were scaled by using NCA method. 13C and 1H NMR spectra were recorded and 13C and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shifts of the molecule were calculated using the gauge independent atomic orbital (GIAO) method. Topological analysis, such as Electron localization function (ELF), natural bond orbital analysis (NBO), reduced density gradient (RDG) and atoms in molecule (AIM) analysis, molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) have been used to evaluate the intermolecular interaction, especially the hydrogen bonds. UV-visible spectrum of the compound was recorded in the region 200–900 nm and the electronic properties and HOMO-LUMO energies were calculated by time dependent density functional theory approach.

Abstract:The growth of 116 children attending the Diabetic Clinic was assessed in a retrospective study. Boys were tall at diagnosis and the skeletal age of boys and girls was advanced. Mean height standard deviation scores gradually decreased from the time of diagnosis :♂ 1st year +0.38 SD, 5th year -0.41 SD, p <0.001.♀ 1st year +0.03 SD, 5th year -0.68 SD, p <0.001.Prepubertally height velocity was progressively and significantly reduced in both sexes during treatment, (p <0.01). Children diagnosed at puberty had a reduced mean height velocity during the first two years but after that height velocity was normal. In both sexes the pubertal growth spurt occurred at the same mean age as healthy controls but the girls had a significantly reduced mean peak height velocity (p <0.05). Menarche was delayed. Skeletal maturation progressed normally. Although some catch up growth may occur later height predictions based on the estimation of skeletal maturity indicates that a significant reduction in final adult height may occur in both sexes. If normal growth reflects good diabetic control then this study is further evidence that most children with diabetes are poorly controlled.

Abstract:In this study, the molecular structure, vibrational frequencies, and atom-in-molecule (AIM) analysis of the benzoic acid monomer and dimer were investigated. Geometry optimization and vibrational frequency calculations for the monomer and dimer were carried out at the density functional theory (DFT) level with the 6-311++G(2d,p) basis set. UV-Vis spectroscopy and electronic properties (i.e., excitation energies, oscillator strengths) were calculated by time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) in different solvents. The calculated absorption values mainly represented excitation from HOMO-1 (H-1)  LUMO and HOMO  LUMO+2 (L+2). The structure-activity relationship was interpreted by its molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) surface, which is very useful to the research of molecular structures and their physiochemical-property relationships. The highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO)-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy was analysed. The HOMO-LUMO energy gap and other related molecular properties were also calculated. In addition, natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis was carried out to investigate the various intra-intermolecular interactions in the molecular system.

Abstract:Single crystals of L-2-aminobutyric acid D-methionine (LABADM) with optical activity have been grown by the slow evaporation method from a solution of L-2-aminobutyric acid D-methionine and water. The thermal stability and melting point of the crystal grown were ascertained via TGDTA analysis. In this investigation, the Fourier transform infrared spectra of LABADM in its solid form were recorded and analysed. The ab initio Hartree–Fock and density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) methods were employed to conduct theoretical calculations on the optimised molecular structure, HOMO–LUMO, molecular electrostatic potential surfaces, nonlinear optical Mulliken charges, and vibrational studies for LABADM. These calculations were carried out using the 6–311+G(d,p) basis set. The density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) methods with a 6–311+G(d,p) basis set were employed to carry out UV‒Vis analysis for LABADM. The potential for charge transfer within the molecule is indicated by the small HOMO–LUMO energy gap. NBO analysis confirmed the presence of intermolecular O–N...H hydrogen bonds resulting from the interaction between the lone pair of oxygen and the antibonding orbital. The non-covalent interaction revealed charge transfer between LABA and DM. The density of states (DOS) provided for the charge transfer behavior of electrons in the materials.

Abstract:Molecular Docking and complete quantum chemical studies of 1-{[(Z)-Cyclopentylidene] amino}-3-phenylthiourea have been done by using DFT/ B3LYP method and 6-311 G (d, p) as the basis set. We have compared optimized geometry of title molecule with experimental data. A detailed interpretation of the vibrational assignments of title molecule is reported. Molecular Electrostatic Potential (MESP) generated by a chemical species is widely used as a tool for exploring its properties and locating potential sites for interaction with other moieties. Nonlinear optics (NLO) is the branch of optics that describes the behavior of materials in nonlinear media. In quantum chemistry, a natural bond orbital or NBO is a calculated bonding orbital with maximum electron density. Time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) is a quantum mechanical theory used in physics and chemistry to investigate the properties and dynamics of many-body systems in the presence of time-dependent potentials, such as electric or magnetic fields.The electronic properties of title molecule are discussed with help of molecular FHOMO, FLUMO composition, band gap, and MESP plots. The NLO, NBO, UV spectra of title molecule also calculated with same level of theory. Some biological parameter Log P and Log S are also calculated which suggests that the title molecule have good ability to deliver drugs in various diseases.

Abstract:An organic crystalline salt − 2,4-Diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin- 1-ium hydrogen oxalate (DMTO) has hydrogen interactions viz. NH⋯O, CH⋯O, NH⋯N and OH⋯O gives interesting vibrational effect. X-ray diffraction study reveals that DMTO is crystallized in triclinic centrosymmetric space group P-1 as expected. Structural as well as the vibrational spectra have been discussed on the basis of density functional theory (DFT) using B3LYP hybrid functional with the basis set 6–311++G(d,p).Acidic proton of the oxalic acid (OA) is transferred to 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine (DAMT) and giving rise to singly protonated 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazinium ion.

Abstract:A new complex formed by the transfer of charge between 2-ethylimidazole (2-EIM) as an electron donor and 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid (BTC) as an π acceptor has been created and studied using various physical and chemical methods. The experiment used UV-vis spectroscopy to determine the formation of the complex in solvents such as methanol (MeOH), ethanol (EtOH), dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), and dimethylformamide (DMF) through the presence of a new broad absorption band with a maximum wavelength in the 200-400 nm range. The thermodynamic analysis showed that van der Waals (vdW) and hydrogen bonding (h-bonding) interactions exist between 2-EIM and BTC in MeOH. The CT complex was evaluated for stability by measuring its formation constants (K CT ), molar extinction coefficients (ε CT ), and various spectrophysical and thermodynamic properties. The results showed that the complex was highly stable in the tested solvents. The shape and particle size of the complex were analyzed using X-ray powder diffraction. The molecular ratio of the complex was recognized as 1:1 through Job's continuous variation method. Additionally, the formation constants and some spectroscopic properties were determined. Fluorescence spectroscopy is used to show the interaction of the CT complex with human serum albumin (HSA) and the binding constant was calculated to be 1.058×103 M -1 . It was observed that CT complex binds with aromatic residues of HSA, mainly Tryptophan (Trp). Molecular docking further explored the interaction between HSA and CT complex.

Abstract:The theoretical vibrational spectral features of 2,3,5,6 Tetrafluoro-4-pyridinecarbonitrile were explored and compared with experimental results. The geometrical parameters, vibrational wavenumbers, bonding features and Energies were calculated at the B3LYP level with the basis set 6-311++G(d,p) levels. The calculated wavenumbers, vibrational energy distribution Analysis (VEDA), potential energy distributions (PEDs), and vibrational spectra were used to suggest reliable vibrational assignments. Molecular Electrostatic Potential investigations revealed the reactive zones around the molecule. The computed HOMO-LUMO energies were -8.369 and -3.380 eV, respectively, indicating charge transfer inside the molecule. The charge transfer of charge due to intra molecule interactions has been explained using naturalbond orbital analysis. The ELF and LOL calculations were provide a visual aid for interpreting the results of electronic structure. The molecular docking approach was used to find the optimal ligand–protein orientation using the ligand 2,3,5,6 Tetrafluoro-4 pyridinecarbonitrile, which was docked with five distinct proteins. The main aim of the present study is to evaluate the biological activity of the selected compound using theoretical calculations.

Abstract:In this study, the optimal geometry and vibrational assignments of 2-methyl-4-hydro-1,3,4-triazol-thione-5, one of the triazole derivatives, were analysed by the DFT approach and vibrational spectroscopy. PED values were calculated, and vibrational assignments were determined. Experimental results showed that interactions between 2-methyl-4-hydro-1,3,4-triazol-thione-5 and solvent (acetone, acetonitrile, dioxane, and DMF) molecules lead to a red shift of the N-H stretching vibrational band. The computations were performed at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) functional set. The molecular electrostatic potential surface was used to distinguish between electrophilic and nucleophilic regions. The reactivity of the molecular complexes was determined by examining their frontier molecular orbitals. Topological investigations revealed the existence of N-H...N and N-H...O-type hydrogen bonds between 2-methyl-4-hydro-1,3,4-triazole-thiol-5 and solvent molecules. The red-shift of the N-H stretching band and H-bond strength between solute–solvent molecules are in the order of acetonitrile, acetone, dioxane, and DMF. Abstract:Abstract Quantum chemical calculations have been carried out to explore structural and spectroscopic properties of some derivatives of N-iso-butyl, S-2-nitro-1-phenylethyl dithiocarbamate molecule in neutral and cationic forms. Electron-releasing groups (Me, OH and OMe) are considered to explore their effect on geometrical parameters, vibrational spectra and electronic properties of N-iso-butyl, S-2-nitro-1-phenylethyl dithiocarbamate. All the computations were performed at DFT/B3LYP level of Gaussian09 suite. The Raman spectra at different laser exciting frequencies are presented. The potential energy distributions of the considered derivatives were calculated by using the normal coordinate analysis method. The NBO calculations were performed to study the donor-acceptor interactions, HOMO-LUMO, electronic structure and hyper-conjugative interaction energies. The vibrational contribution of various thermodynamical parameters, viz, entropy, specific heat and free energy have also been presented and discussed in detail. Moreover, we have also explored the effect of temperature at specific heat and partition function of these molecules. Molecular docking studies have been performed to understand the nature of the interactions and the probable binding sites of NSD, NSD-Me, NSD-OH and NSD-OMe molecules in the active pockets of the 2KCE receptor. Validation of the Developed Zero-Order Infrared Spectrophotometry Method for Qualitative and Quantitative Analyses of Tranexamic Acid in Marketed Tablets

Abstract:(1) Background: The functional groups present in tranexamic acid allow direct infrared detection analysis. This study aimed to develop, apply, and validate an infrared spectrophotometry method used for qualitative and quantitative analyses of tranexamic acid in marketed tablets. (2) Methods: This was a descriptive observational study that consisted of several stages: determining the specific wavenumber for analysis, obtaining a simple linear regression equation, analyzing tranexamic acid both qualitatively and quantitatively, and validating the developed method for routine analysis. (3) Results: The peak analysis obtained a range of baseline wavenumbers from 1679.17 to 1295.25 cm−1. The regression equation obtained was Y = 310.8527 × X + 0.9718, and the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained was 0.9994. The tranexamic acids in marketed tablets overall have a similarity index value of more than 0.90 and overall have levels ranging between 97.0% and 103.0%. The infrared spectrophotometry method that was successfully developed, applied, and validated for qualitative and quantitative analyses of tranexamic acid in marketed tablets meets the requirements both qualitatively and quantitatively of the tablet monograph. (4) Conclusions: The infrared spectrophotometry method has been validated and meets the requirements for accuracy, precision, detection limit, quantitation limit, linearity, range, and specificity.

The Evaluation of Temporal Electronic Structures of Nonresonant Raman Excited Virtual State of Thiourea

Abstract:An algorithm has been introduced to calculate molecular bond polarizabilities of thiourea,which supply essential electronic information about the nonresonant Raman excited virtual states. The main dynamical behaviour of the excited virtual states of thiourea is that the Raman excited electrons tend to flow to the N-H bonds and C-N bonds from the S-C bonds because of the electronic repulsion effect. The difference in Raman excited electron relaxation time of thiourea under 514.5-nm and 325-nm excitations has been observed,which quantitatively shows that the Raman scattering process is dependent on the wavelength of the pumping laser. Finally,the distribution of the electrons at the final stage of relaxation is given out through the comparison between the bond electronic densities of the ground states and the bond polarizabilities after deexcitation.
