Abstract:Due to the work of Shimizu (2019), various nondegeneracy conditions for braided finite tensor categories are equivalent. This theory is extended to braided module categories here. We introduce when a braided module category is "nondegenerate" and "factorizable", and establish that these properties are equivalent. The proof involves a new monadicity result for module categories. Lastly, we examine the Hopf case, using Kolb's (2020) notion of a quasitriangular comodule algebra to introduce "factorizable" comodule algebras. We then show that the representation category of a quasitriangular comodule algebra is nondegenerate in our sense precisely when the comodule algebra is factorizable. Several examples are provided.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is the equivalence problem between non - degeneracy and factorizability of braided module categories. Specifically, the author aims to introduce and study the non - degeneracy and factorizability of braided module categories and prove that these properties are equivalent under specific conditions. ### Main contributions of the paper 1. **Introducing new concepts**: The paper introduces the two concepts of "non - degenerate" and "factorizable" for braided module categories. 2. **Establishing equivalence**: The author proves that under certain conditions, the non - degeneracy and factorizability of braided module categories are equivalent. 3. **Generalizing existing theories**: The equivalence of non - degeneracy conditions for braided finite tensor categories in Shimizu (2019) is generalized to braided module categories. 4. **Hopf algebra case**: In the case of Hopf algebras, using the concept of quasi - triangular comodule algebras in Kolb (2020), "factorizable" comodule algebras are introduced and it is proved that their representation categories are non - degenerate in a certain sense. ### Specific problem description - **Non - degeneracy**: For a braided finite tensor category \( \mathcal{C} \), if the isomorphism \( \theta_{\mathcal{C}}: \mathcal{C}^{\vee} \to (\mathcal{C}^{\vee})^* \) induced by its Hopf pairing \( \omega_{\mathcal{C}}: \mathcal{C}^{\vee} \otimes \mathcal{C}^{\vee} \to 1 \) is an isomorphism, then \( \mathcal{C} \) is said to be non - degenerate. - **Factorizability**: If the functor \( G_{\mathcal{M}} \) from \( \mathcal{M} \boxtimes \text{Fun}_{\mathcal{C}}(\mathcal{M}, \mathcal{M}) \) to \( \mathcal{E}_{\mathcal{C}}(\mathcal{M}) \) is an equivalence, then the braided left \( \mathcal{C} \)-module category \( (\mathcal{M}, \blacktriangleright, e) \) is said to be factorizable. ### Main results The core result of the paper is: \[ \text{Theorem 1.3} \] Considering the above terms, then a braided left \( \mathcal{C} \)-module category \( (\mathcal{M}, \blacktriangleright, e) \) is non - degenerate if and only if it is factorizable. This result is proved through a series of lemmas and propositions, especially by introducing monadicity results of module categories. ### Application background These studies are not only helpful for understanding invariants in 3 - dimensional topological quantum field theories (3d - TQFTs) and 2 - dimensional conformal field theories (2d - CFTs), but also are closely related to fields such as topological phases of matter and topological quantum computing. Therefore, studying the non - degeneracy of braided module categories has important theoretical and application values.
