Abstract:We obtain a Second Main Theorem type inequality for holomorphic maps $f : M \to X$, where $M$ is a parabolic manifold and $X$ is smooth projective with dim $M$ $\le$ dim $X$. We also derive a parabolic Tautological inequality for smooth logarithmic pairs.

Abstract:On Hermitian manifolds, the second Ricci curvature tensors of various metric connections are closely related to the geometry of Hermitian manifolds. By refining the Bochner formulas for any Hermitian complex vector bundle (and Riemannian real vector bundle) with an arbitrary metric connection over a compact Hermitian manifold, we can derive various vanishing theorems for Hermitian manifolds and complex vector bundles by the second Ricci curvature tensors. We will also introduce a natural geometric flow on Hermitian manifolds by using the second Ricci curvature tensor.

Abstract:The first and second variation formulas of the energy functional for a nondegenerate map between Finsler manifolds is derived. As an application, some nonexistence theorems of nonconstant stable harmonic maps from a Finsler manifold to a Riemannian manifold are given.

Abstract:Recently, Q. Han [ 7 ] proved a Second Main Theorem for algebraically nondegenerate meromorphic maps over p -Parabolic manifolds intersecting with hypersurfaces in general position in smooth projective algebraic variety, extending certain results of H. Cartan, L. Ahlfors, W. Stoll, M. Ru and Philip P. W. Wong. In this paper, we will prove a general form of Second Main Theorem for meromorphic maps from p -Parabolic manifold into smooth projective variety intersecting with hypersurfaces in subgeneral position. As an application of that result, we get a Second Main Theorem for meromorphic maps on p -Parabolic manifold intersecting with hypersurfaces in l -subgeneral position, which extends the result of Q. Han [ 7 ].

Abstract:By introducing the notion of distributive constant for a family of closed subschemes, we establish a general form of the second main theorem for algebraic nondegenerate meromorphic mappings from a generalized $p$-Parabolic manifold into a projective variety with arbitrary families of closed subschemes. As its consequence, we give a second main theorem for such meromorphic mappings intersecting arbitrary hypersurfaces with an explicitly truncation level for the counting functions.

Abstract:In this paper, we describe a second main theorem of holomorphic curves f:CPN in F, of hyper-order strictly less than 1, that involves a general linear operator L. As an application, we derive a truncated second main theorem of degenerate holomorphic curves of hyper-order strictly less than 1 using Nochka weights.

Abstract:We consider analytic maps and vector fields defined in $\mathbb{R}^2 \times \mathbb{T}^d$, having a $d$-dimensional invariant torus $\mathcal{T}$. The map (resp. vector field) restricted to $\mathcal{T}$ defines a rotation of frequency $\omega$, and its derivative restricted to transversal directions to $\mathcal{T}$ does not diagonalize. In this context, we give conditions on the coefficients of the nonlinear terms of the map (resp. vector field) under which $\mathcal{T}$ possesses stable and unstable invariant manifolds, and we show that such invariant manifolds are analyitic away from the invariant torus. We also provide effective algorithms to compute approximations of parameterizations of the invariant manifolds, and present some applications of the results.

Abstract:By means of $C^\infty$-connections we will prove a general second main theorem and some special ones for holomorphic curves. The method gives a geometric proof of H. Cartan's second main theorem in 1933. By applying the same method, we will prove some second main theorems in the case of the product space $(\pone)^2$ of the Riemann sphere.

Abstract:In this paper, an Askey-Wilson version of the Wronskian-Casorati determinant $\mathcal{W}(f_{0}, \dots, f_{n})(x)$ for meromorphic functions $f_{0}, \dots, f_{n}$ is introduced to establish an Askey-Wilson version of the general form of the Second Main Theorem in projective space. This improves upon the original Second Main Theorem for the Askey-Wilson operator due to Chiang and Feng. In addition, by taking into account the number of irreducible components of hypersurfaces, an Askey-Wilson version of the Truncated Second Main Theorem for holomorphic curves into projective space with hypersurfaces located in $l$-subgeneral position is obtained.

Nevanlinna Theory on Geodesic Balls of Complete Kähler Manifolds

Abstract:We study Nevanlinna theory of meromorphic mappings from a geodesic ball of a general complete Kähler manifold with non-negative Ricci curvature into a complex projective manifold by introducing a heat kernel method. When dimension of a target manifold is not greater than one of a source manifold, we establish a second main theorem which is a generalization of the classical second main theorem for a ball of $\mathbb C^m.$ If a source manifold is non-compact and it carries a positive global Green function, then we establish a global second main theorem for the source manifold. As a result, we obtain a Picard's theorem for complete Kähler manifolds with non-negative Ricci curvature.

Abstract:Let $\mathbf{K}$ be an algebraically closed field of arbitrary characteristic, complete with respect to a non-archimedean absolute value $|\,|$. We establish a Second Main Theorem type estimate for analytic map $f\colon \mathbf{K}\rightarrow\mathbb{P}^n(\mathbf{K})$ and a family of $n$ hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{P}^n(\mathbf{K})$ intersecting transversally and not all being hyperplanes. This implements the previous work of Levin where the case of all hypersurfaces having degree greater than one was studied.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to establish the second main theorem for holomorphic curves from the annulus into a complex projective variety intersecting an arbitrary family of hypersurfaces. This is done by using the notion of "Distributive Constant" for a family of hypersurfaces with respect to a complex projective variety developed by Quang. We also give an explicit estimate for the level of truncation.

Abstract:Let $\{D_i\}_{i=1}^{n+1}$ be $n+1$ hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{P}^n(\mathbb{C})$ with total degrees $\sum_{i=1}^{n+1} °D_i\geqslant n+2$, in general position and satisfying a generic geometric condition: every $n$ hypersurfaces intersect only at smooth points and the intersection is transversal. Then, for every algebraically nondegenerate entire holomorphic curve $f\colon\mathbb{C}\rightarrow\mathbb{P}^n(\mathbb{C})$, we show a Second Main Theorem: $$ \sum_{i=1}^{n+1} \delta_f(D_i) < n+1 $$ in terms of defect inequality in Nevanlinna theory. This is the first result in the literature on Second Main Theorem for $n+1$ general hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{P}^n(\mathbb{C})$ with optimal total degrees.

Abstract:We prove a new general Poincaré-type inequality for differential forms on compact Riemannian manifolds with nonempty boundary. When the boundary is isometrically immersed in Euclidean space, we derive a new inequality involving mean and scalar curvatures of the boundary only and characterize its limiting case in codimension one. A new Ros-type inequality for differential forms is also derived assuming the existence of a nonzero parallel form on the manifold.

Abstract:We apply an idea of Levin to obtain a non-truncated second main theorem for non-Archimedean analytic maps approximating algebraic hypersurfaces in subgeneral position. In some cases, for example when all the hypersurfaces are non-linear and all the intersections are transverse, this improves an inequality of Quang, whose inequality is sharp for the case of hyperplanes in subgeneral position.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a unified method for deriving differential Harnack inequalities for positive solutions of the semilinear parabolic equation \begin{equation*} \partial_t u=\Delta_V u+H(u) \end{equation*} on complete Riemannian manifolds with Bakry-Émery curvature bounded below. This method transforms the problem of deriving differential Harnack inequalities into solving a related ODE system. As an application of this method, we obtain new and improved estimates for logarithmic-type equations and Yamabe-type equations. Moreover, under the non-negative Bakry-Émery curvature condition, we obtain complete sharp estimates for these equations. As a natural consequence of these results, we also establish sharp Harnack inequalities and Liouville-type theorems for these equations.

Abstract:Let $1\leq p\leq n$ be two positive integers. For a linearly nondegenerate holomorphic mapping $f\colon\mathbb{C}^p\rightarrow\mathbb{P}^n(\mathbb{C})$ of maximal rank intersecting a family of hyperplanes in general position, we obtain a Cartan's type Second Main Theorem in which the counting functions are truncated to level $n+1-p$. Our result strengthens the classical results of Stoll and Vitter, and interpolates the important works of Cartan and Carlson-Griffiths.

Abstract:In the first part of this paper, we establish some results around generalized Borel's Theorem. As an application, in the second part, we construct example of smooth surface of degree $d\geq 19$ in $\mathbb{CP}^3$ whose complements is hyperbolically embedded in $\mathbb{CP}^3$. This improves the previous construction of Shirosaki where the degree bound $d=31$ was gave. In the last part, for a Fermat-Waring type hypersurface $D$ in $\mathbb{CP}^n$ defined by the homogeneous polynomial \[ \sum_{i=1}^m h_i^d, \] where $m,n,d$ are positive integers with $m\geq 3n-1$ and $d\geq m^2-m+1$, where $h_i$ are homogeneous generic linear forms on $\mathbb{C}^{n+1}$, for a nonconstant holomorphic function $f\colon\mathbb{C}\rightarrow\mathbb{CP}^n$ whose image is not contained in the support of $D$, we establish a Second Main Theorem type estimate: \[ \big(d-m(m-1)\big)\,T_f(r)\leq N_f^{[m-1]}(r,D)+S_f(r). \] This quantifies the hyperbolicity result due to Shiffman-Zaidenberg and Siu-Yeung.

Abstract:In this paper, we derive from the supersymmetry of the Witten Laplacian Brascamp-Lieb's type inequalities for general differential forms on compact Riemannian manifolds with boundary. In addition to the supersymmetry, our results essentially follow from suitable decompositions of the quadratic forms associated with the Neumann and Dirichlet self-adjoint realizations of the Witten Laplacian. They moreover imply the usual Brascamp-Lieb's inequality and its generalization to compact Riemannian manifolds without boundary.
