Abstract:The military environment generates a large amount of data of great importance, which makes necessary the use of machine learning for its processing. Its ability to learn and predict possible scenarios by analyzing the huge volume of information generated provides automatic learning and decision support. This paper aims to present a model of a machine learning architecture applied to a military organization, carried out and supported by a bibliometric study applied to an architecture model of a nonmilitary organization. For this purpose, a bibliometric analysis up to the year 2021 was carried out, making a strategic diagram and interpreting the results. The information used has been extracted from one of the main databases widely accepted by the scientific community, ISI WoS. No direct military sources were used. This work is divided into five parts: the study of previous research related to machine learning in the military world; the explanation of our research methodology using the SciMat, Excel and VosViewer tools; the use of this methodology based on data mining, preprocessing, cluster normalization, a strategic diagram and the analysis of its results to investigate machine learning in the military context; based on these results, a conceptual architecture of the practical use of ML in the military context is drawn up; and, finally, we present the conclusions, where we will see the most important areas and the latest advances in machine learning applied, in this case, to a military environment, to analyze a large set of data, providing utility, machine learning and decision support.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem that this paper attempts to solve is: how to construct a machine learning (ML) architecture model suitable for military organizations to meet the requirements of processing large amounts of data and providing decision - support in military environments. Specifically, the article addresses this problem through the following aspects: 1. **Bibliometric analysis**: - Through a systematic review and analysis of existing literature, identify the main research areas, trends, and development directions of machine learning in military applications. - Use the Web of Science database to extract literature related to "machine learning" and "military environment", and perform pre - processing and multi - dimensional analysis. 2. **Conceptual architecture design**: - Based on the research of data - driven architectures in non - military organizations, propose a machine learning architecture model suitable for military environments. - This architecture aims to integrate different types of data (structured, semi - structured, and unstructured) and use machine learning algorithms to generate valuable insights, thereby supporting military decision - making. 3. **Data analysis and classification**: - Through network extraction and cluster analysis, divide the applications of machine learning in the military field into multiple categories, such as psychological behavior disorders, soldier analysis, machine learning and optimization techniques, artificial intelligence, robotics, and intelligent devices. - Conduct a detailed analysis of each category to explore its specific application scenarios and challenges in military environments. 4. **Strategic map construction**: - Construct a strategic map to evaluate the centrality and density of different research topics, helping to identify highly developed isolated topics, emerging or declining topics, basic and interdisciplinary topics, and driving topics. 5. **Temporal evolution analysis**: - Divide the research into two periods (before 2016 and after 2016), and analyze the research hotspots and change trends in different periods. - Use evolution diagrams and overlap diagrams to show the development and inter - relationships of different topics over time. Through the above methods, this paper not only provides a comprehensive understanding of the current situation of machine learning in military applications but also points out the direction for future research, especially in data - driven decision - support systems and intelligent military equipment. ### Formula summary - **Equivalence Index** (Equivalence Index) is used to measure the co - occurrence relationship of keywords: \[ e_{ij}=\frac{c_{ij}^2}{c_i\cdot c_j} \] where \( c_{ij} \) is the number of documents in which keywords \( i \) and \( j \) appear simultaneously; \( c_i \) and \( c_j \) are the number of documents in which keywords \( i \) and \( j \) appear respectively. - **Centrality** (Centrality) is used to measure the importance of nodes in a network: \[ c = 10\cdot\sum_{k,h}e_{kh} \] where \( e_{kh} \) has been defined in the equivalence index formula. - **Density** (Density) is used to evaluate the strength within a network: \[ d = 100\cdot\frac{\sum_{i,j}e_{ij}}{w} \] where \( e_{ij} \) has been defined in the equivalence index formula; \( w \) represents the number of elements within the cluster. These formulas and methods together form the core analysis framework of this paper, ensuring the scientific nature and reliability of the research results.
