Abstract:In this paper, we study the deformation limit of compact Kahler manifolds. We show that the limit to be a manifold in the Fujiki class C is equivalent to the finiteness of the upper volume. We also prove the Streets-Tian conjecture for a special case.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem that this paper attempts to solve is about the limit properties of Kähler manifolds under complex - analytic deformations. Specifically, the author studies the smooth deformations of a family of compact Kähler manifolds over the unit disk in the complex plane and explores the problem of whether the central fiber (i.e., the manifold corresponding to the center point of the disk) still belongs to Fujiki class C when the fibers (i.e., each manifold in the family) are all Kähler manifolds. Fujiki class C refers to those compact complex manifolds that are biholomorphically equivalent to some Kähler manifold. The main contribution of the paper lies in proving that a necessary and sufficient condition for the central fiber \( X_0 \) to belong to Fujiki class C is that \( X_0 \) has a Hermitian metric \( \omega \) such that the upper volume \( \text{vol}(\omega)<\infty \). Here, the upper volume \( \text{vol}(\omega) \) refers to the supremum of the integral \( \int_X (\omega + dd^c\phi)^n \) among all possible \( \omega + dd^c\phi \), where \( \phi \) is an \( \omega \)-plurisubharmonic function. In addition, the paper also proves a special case of the Streets - Tian conjecture, that is, if the central fiber \( X_0 \) has a Hermitian symplectic metric, then \( X_0 \) must be a Kähler manifold. These results provide an important theoretical basis for understanding the behavior of Kähler manifolds under complex - analytic deformations and have a wide range of impacts on related geometric and topological problems.
