Abstract:We construct a 2-functor from the Kac-Moody 2-category for the extended quantum affine sl(3) to the homotopy 2-category of bounded chain complexes with values in the Kac-Moody 2-category for quantum gl(3), categorifying the evaluation map between the corresponding quantum Kac-Moody algebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we use Soergel calculus to define a monoidal functor, called the evaluation functor, from extended affine type A Soergel bimodules to the homotopy category of bounded complexes in finite type A Soergel bimodules. This functor categorifies the well-known evaluation homomorphism from the extended affine type A Hecke algebra to the finite type A Hecke algebra. Through it, one can pull back the triangulated birepresentation induced by any finitary birepresentation of finite type A Soergel bimodules to obtain a triangulated birepresentation of extended affine type A Soergel bimodules. We show that if the initial finitary birepresentation in finite type A is a cell birepresentation, the evaluation birepresentation in extended affine type A has a finitary cover, which we illustrate by working out the case of cell birepresentations with subregular apex in detail.

Abstract:We present a criterion for $2$-final $(2,1)$-functors, analoguous to the classical one for final $1$-functor: a $(2,1)$-functor $F \colon A \to B$ is $2$-final if and only if, for any object $b$ of $B$, the slice $(2,1)$-category $b / F$ is nonempty, connected and simply connected. We also give a combinatorial presentation of paths and homotopies of paths in a $(2,1)$-category.

Abstract:For half a century, Mackey and Green functors have been successfully used to model the induction and restriction maps which are ubiquitous in the representation theory of finite groups. In the examples, the latter maps are typically distilled in some way from induction and restriction functors between additive categories. This naturally leads to the notions of Mackey and Green 2-functors and to axioms which better capture this underlying layer of information. Such structures have been used in algebra, geometry and topology for a long time. We survey examples and applications of this young (yet arguably overdue) theory.

Abstract:Let H be a coFrobenius Hopf algebra over a field k. Let A be a right H-comodule algebra over k. We recall that the category of right H-comodules admits a certain model structure whose homotopy category is equivalent to the stable category of right H-comodules given in Farina's paper. In the first part of this paper, we show that the category of left A-module objects in the category of right H-comodules admits a model structure, which becomes a model subcategory of the category of H*-equivariant A-modules endowed with a model structure given in the author's previous paper if H is finite dimensional with a certain assumption. Note that this category is not a Frobenius category in general. We also construct a functorial cofibrant replacement by proceeding the similar argument as in Qi's paper. In the latter half of this paper, we see that cyclic H-comodules which give Hopf-cyclic (co)homology with coefficients in Hopf H-modules are contructible in the homotopy category of right H-comodules, and we investigate a Hopf-cyclic (co)homology in slightly modified setting by assuming A a right H-comodule k-Hopf algebra with H-colinear bijective antipode in stable category of right H-comodules and give an analogue of the characteristic map. We remark that, as an expansion of an idea of taking trivial comodule k as the coefficients, if we take an A-coinvariant part of M assuming M a Hopf A-module in the category of right H-comodules, we have the degree shift of cyclic modules.

Abstract:We introduce a new family of real simple modules over the quantum affine algebras, called the affine determinantial modules, which contains the Kirillov-Reshetikhin (KR)-modules as a special subfamily, and then prove T-systems among them which generalize the T-systems among KR-modules and unipotent quantum minors in the quantum unipotent coordinate algebras simultaneously. We develop new combinatorial tools: admissible chains of -boxes which produce commuting families of affine determinantial modules, and box moves which describe the T-system in a combinatorial way. Using these results, we prove that various module categories over the quantum affine algebras provide monoidal categorifications of cluster algebras. As special cases, Hernandez-Leclerc categories and provide monoidal categorifications of the cluster algebras for an arbitrary quantum affine algebra.

Abstract:We prove basic statements about the Hermitian K-theory of exact form categories with weak equivalences. Notably, we extend a quadratic functor with values in abelian groups from an exact category to its category of bounded chain complexes in a way that does not change Grothendieck-Witt spaces. This is used in joint work with Marlowe for the comparison of the classical 1-categorical version of the Hermitian K-theory of exact categories with the infinity-categorical version of Calmes-Dotto-Harpaz-Hebestreit-Land-Moi-Nardin-Nikolaus-Steimle.

Abstract:We determine the structure of the BPS algebra of $2$-Calabi-Yau Abelian categories whose stack of objects admits a good moduli space. We prove that this algebra is isomorphic to the positive part of the enveloping algebra of a generalised Kac-Moody Lie algebra generated by the intersection cohomology of certain connected components (corresponding to roots) of the good moduli space. Some major examples include the BPS algebras of (1) the category of semistable coherent sheaves of given slope on a K3 surface or, more generally, quasiprojective symplectic surface, (2) semistable Higgs bundles on smooth projective curves, (3) preprojective algebras of quivers, (4) multiplicative preprojective algebras and (5) fundamental groups of (quiver) Riemann surfaces. We define the BPS Lie algebras of $2$-Calabi-Yau categories and prove that they coincide with the ones obtained by dimensional reduction from the critical cohomological Hall algebra in the case in which the 2-Calabi-Yau category is the category of representations of a preprojective algebra. Consequences include (1) A proof in full generality of the Bozec-Schiffmann positivity conjecture for absolutely cuspidal polynomials, a strengthening of the Kac positivity conjecture (2) A proof of the cohomological integrality conjecture for the category of semistable coherent sheaves on local K3 surfaces (3) A description of the cohomology (in all degrees) of Nakajima quiver varieties as direct sums of irreducible lowest weight representations over the BPS Lie algebra.

Moreover, we show that this category is action representable, and that it contains a torsion theory whose torsion-free and torsion parts are given by the category of groups and by the category of Lie K-algebras, respectively.

Abstract:In this paper we give three functors $\mathfrak{P}$, $[\cdot]_K$ and $\mathfrak{F}$ on the category of C$^\ast$-algebras. The functor $\mathfrak{P}$ assigns to each C$^\ast$-algebra $\mathcal{A}$ a pre-C$^\ast$-algebra $\mathfrak{P}(\mathcal{A})$ with completion $[\mathcal{A}]_K$. The functor $[\cdot]_K$ assigns to each C$^\ast$-algebra $\mathcal{A}$ the Cauchy extension $[\mathcal{A}]_K$ of $\mathcal{A}$ by a non-unital C$^\ast$-algebra $\mathfrak{F}(\mathcal{A})$. Some properties of these functors are also given. In particular, we show that the functors $[\cdot]_K$ and $\mathfrak{F}$ are exact and the functor $\mathfrak{P}$ is normal exact.

A braided monoidal $(\infty,2)$-category of Soergel bimodules

Abstract:The Hecke algebras for all symmetric groups taken together form a braided monoidal category that controls all quantum link invariants of type A and, by extension, the standard canon of topological quantum field theories in dimension 3 and 4. Here we provide the first categorification of this Hecke braided monoidal category, which takes the form of an $\mathbb{E}_2$-monoidal $(\infty,2)$-category whose hom-$(\infty,1)$-categories are $k$-linear, stable, idempotent-complete, and equipped with $\mathbb{Z}$-actions. This categorification is designed to control homotopy-coherent link homology theories and to-be-constructed topological quantum field theories in dimension 4 and 5.

Abstract:Abstract We investigate the (separated) monomorphism category of a quiver over an Artin algebra . We show that there exists an epivalence (called representation equivalence in the terminology of Auslander) from to , where is the category of finitely generated ‐modules and and denote the respective injectively stable categories. Furthermore, if has at least one arrow, then we show that this is an equivalence if and only if is hereditary. In general, the epivalence induces a bijection between indecomposable objects in and noninjective indecomposable objects in , and we show that the generalized Mimo‐construction, an explicit minimal right approximation into , gives an inverse to this bijection. We apply these results to describe the indecomposables in the monomorphism category of radical square zero Nakayama algebras, and to give a bijection between the indecomposables in the monomorphism category of two artinian uniserial rings of Loewy length 3 with the same residue field. The main tool to prove these results is the language of a free monad of an exact endofunctor on an arbitrary abelian category. This allows us to avoid the technical combinatorics arising from quiver representations. The setup also specializes to more general settings, such as representations of modulations. In particular, we obtain new results on the singularity category of the algebras that were introduced by Geiss, Leclerc, and Schröer in order to extend their results relating cluster algebras and Lusztig's semicanonical basis to symmetrizable Cartan matrices. We also recover results on the algebras that were introduced by Lu and Wang to realize groups via semiderived Hall algebras.

Parametrised noncommutative motives and equivariant cubical descent in algebraic K-theory

Abstract:For an atomic orbital base category in the sense of Barwick-Dotto-Glasman-Nardin-Shah, we introduce the category of parametrised perfect-stable categories and use it to construct the parametrised version of noncommutative motives in which algebraic K-theory is corepresented. Furthermore, we initiate a rudimentary theory of parametrised cubes which could be of independent interest, generalising some of the elements in Dotto's theory of equivariant Goodwillie calculus beyond the equivariant case. Using this cubical theory, we show that in the equivariant case for finite 2-groups G, the parametrised noncommutative motives canonically refine to G-symmetric monoidal categories. Consequently, this endows the equivariant algebraic K-theory spectra for these groups with the structure of E-infinity-ring spectra equipped with multiplicative norms in the sense of Hill-Hopkins-Ravenel. Along the way, we will also provide a machine to manufacture G-symmetric monoidal categories from symmetric monoidal categories equipped with G-actions and elucidate how the aforementioned parametrised perfect-stable categories relate to Mackey functors valued in perfect-stable categories.

A monoidal Dold-Kan correspondence for comodules

Abstract:We provide examples of inductive fibrant replacements in fibrantly generated model categories constructed as Postnikov towers. These provide new types of arguments to compute homotopy limits in model categories. We provide examples for simplicial and differential graded comodules. Our main application is to show that simplicial comodules and connective differential graded comodules are Quillen equivalent and their derived cotensor products correspond. We deduce that the rational $A$-theory of a simply connected space $X$ is equivalent to the $K$-theory of perfect chain complexes with a $C_*(X; \mathbb{Q})$-comodule structure.

Generalization of formal monad theory to lax functors

Abstract:We study lax functors between bicategories as a generalized concept of monads and describe generalized notions and theorems of formal monad theory for lax functors. Our first approach is to use the 2-monad whose lax algebras are lax functors. We define lax doctrinal adjunctions for a 2-monad $T$ on a 2-category $\mathcal{K}$, and we show that if $\mathcal{K}$ admits and $T$ preserves certain codescent objects, the 2-category $\mathrm{Lax}\text{-}{T}\text{-}\mathrm{Alg}_{c}$ of lax algebras and colax morphisms can coreflectively be embedded in the 2-category of lax doctrinal adjunctions. This coreflective embedding generalizes the relation between monads and adjunctions. Our second approach is to see a distributive law for monads as a 2-functor from a lax Gray tensor product, and we show a generalized form of Beck's characterization of distributive laws.

Abstract:We introduce a sheaf theoretic viewpoint on functional analysis designed for infinite dimensional Lie group actions. We develop functional calculus for Banach valued functors and, in particular, prove the existence of an exponential map for a certain class of operators that generalise first order partial differential operators. This algebraic framework can be used in dynamical systems and KAM theory to provide normal forms and versal deformations. it is used in our papers on the subject such as the Herman conjecture paper, the versal deformation theorem for vector fields etc.
