Abstract:This paper is concerned with the wave breaking phenomena for a coupled periodic Camassa-Holm system. We establish a new blowup criterion for strong solutions by the method of characteristic and convolution estimates, and also give the existence interval of the blowup point.

Abstract:In this paper, we mainly study several problems on the weakly dissipative periodic Camassa-Holm equation. At first, the local well-posedness of the equation is obtained by Kato’s theorem, a necessary and sufficient condition of the blow-up of the solution and some criteria guaranteeing the blow-up of the solution are established. Then, the blow-up rate of the solution is discussed. Moreover, we prove that the equation has global solutions and these global solutions decay to zero as time goes to infinite provided the potentials associated to their initial date are of one sign.

Abstract:We focus on the blow-up phenomena of Cauchy problem for the Camassa-Holm equation. Blow-up can occur only in the form of wave-breaking, i. e. the solution is bounded but its slope becomes unbounded in finite time. We proved that there is such a point that its slope becomes infinite exactly at breaking time. We also gave the precise blow-up rate and the blow-up set.

Abstract:The main goal of this paper is to investigate the blow-up phenomena of solutions to a weakly dissipative generalized Camassa-Holm equation, which contains higher power nonlinear dispersion terms and a convection term. We give a sufficient condition on the initial data such that the strong solution blows up at a finite time, and then we establish an estimate of the blow-up time. Finally, we give a global existence result of the strong solution.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the stochastic modified two-component Camassa–Holm equations. For the periodic boundary value problem for this SPDE, we first study the local existence, uniqueness and blow-up criterion of a solution in Sobolev spaces H^s with s>5/2 . Particularly, for the linear non-autonomous noise case, we study the wave-breaking phenomenon. When wave-breaking occurs, we estimate the corresponding probability and the breaking rate of the solutions. Finally, we study the noise effect on the dependence on initial data. It is shown that the noise cannot improve the stability of exiting times and the continuity of solution map at the same time.

Abstract:In this paper we mainly study the Cauchy problem for a generalized Camassa-Holm equation. First, by using the Littlewood-Paley decomposition and transport equations theory, we establish the local well-posedness for the Cauchy problem of the equation in Besov spaces. Then we give a blow-up criterion for the Cauchy problem of the equation. we present a blow-up result and the exact blow-up rate of strong solutions to the equation by making use of the conservation law and the obtained blow-up criterion. Finally, we verify that the system possesses peakon solutions.

Abstract:In the paper, we mainly investigate blow-up phenomena and global existence of strong solutions to a two-component Camassa-Holm systems with an arbitrary smooth function H. For three types of smooth functions H, by using a conservation law and the sign-preserving property of strong solutions, we obtain two new blowup results and a new global existence result for the two-component system. Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the existence of a weak solution and blow-up of strong solutions to a two-component Fornberg–Whitham system. Due to the absence of some useful conservation laws, we establish the existence of a weak solution to the system in lower order Sobolev spaces ( ) via a modified pseudo-parabolic regularization method. And then, a blow-up scenario for strong solutions to this system is shown. By the analysis of Riccati-type inequalities recently, we present some sufficient conditions on the initial data that lead to the blow-up for corresponding strong solutions to the system.
