Abstract:In this paper the Gaussian integral is proven using contour integration on $\frac{1}{e^{x^2}+1}$ and linking it using a limit to said Gaussian integral. The limit is alsorelated to the Riemann Zeta function using a few manipulations. This new and original proof comes as an addition to the already many pre-existing proofs of the Gaussian integral.

Abstract:The theory of normal variance mixture distributions is used to provide elementary derivations of closed-form expressions for the definite integrals $\int_0^\infty x^{-2\nu}\cos(bx)\gamma(\nu,\alpha x^2)\,\mathrm{d}x$ (for $\nu>1/2$, $b>0$ $\alpha>0$) and $\int_0^\infty x^{2\nu-1}\cos(bx)\Gamma(-\nu,\alpha x^2)\,\mathrm{d}x$ (for $\nu>0$, $b>0$ $\alpha>0$), where $\gamma(a,x)$ and $\Gamma(a,x)$ are the lower and upper incomplete gamma functions, respectively. The method of proof is of independent interest and could be used to derive further new definite integral formulas.

We give a new, shorter proof, which avoids the use of the Mordell integral. A Family of New Formulas for the Euler-Mascheroni Constant

Abstract:We introduce and prove several new formulas for the Euler-Mascheroni Constant. This is done through the introduction of the defined E-Harmonic function, whose properties, in this paper, lead to two novel formulas, alongside a family of formulas. While the paper does introduce many new approximations, it does not exhaust the possibilities of the E-Harmonic function but provides a strong first dive into its natural conclusions. We hope that the diversity of new formulas may provide stepping stones to a proof (or disproof) of the irrationality of the Euler-Mascheroni constant.

Abstract:This research article provides an unconditional proof of an inequality proposed by Srinivasa Ramanujan involving the Prime Counting Function $\pi(x)$, \begin{align*} (\pi(x))^{2}<\frac{ex}{\log x}\pi\left(\frac{x}{e}\right) \end{align*} for every real $x\geq \exp(547)$, using specific order estimates for the Mertens Function, $M(x)$. The proof primarily hinges upon investigating the underlying relation between $M(x)$ and the Second Chebyshev Function, $\psi(x)$, in addition to applying the meromorphic properties of the Riemann Zeta Function, $\zeta(s)$ with an intention of deriving an improved approximation for $\pi(x)$.

Abstract:In our investigations on the effect of strong magnetic fields on the properties of elementary particles we have been faced with a definite integral of the form $$\int_0^{2\pi}d\theta\ L_{n}(s^2+t^2+2st\cos\theta)\ e^{-ik\theta}\, \exp{(-st\,e^{i\theta})}\ , $$ where $L_n(x)$ is a Laguerre polynomial, $s$ and $t$ are real numbers and $n$ and $k$ are integers, with $n \geq 0$. In the present article we show that this integral can be solved analytically. The result can be used to get an alternative proof of an addition formula for Laguerre polynomials.

Abstract:We present new proofs of eight integral representations of the Catalan numbers. Then, we create analogous integral representations of the Motzkin numbers and obtain new results. Most integral representations of counting sequences found in the literature are proved by using advanced mathematical techniques. All integral representations in this paper are proved by using standard techniques from integral calculus. Thus, we provide a more simplistic approach of proving integral representations of the Catalan and Motzkin numbers.

Abstract:We modify the standard proof of Paley's theorem about lacunary coefficients of functions in $H^1$ to work without analytic factorization. This leads to the first direct proof of the extension of Paley's theorem that we applied to the former Littlewood conjecture about $L^1$ norms of exponential sums.

Abstract:This work contains two papers: the first published in 2022 and entitled "On the nature of some Euler's double equations equivalent to Fermat's last theorem" provides a marvellous proof through the so-called discordant forms of appropriate Euler's double equations, which could have entered in a not very narrow margin and the second instead published in 2024 and entitled "Some Diophantus-Fermat double equations equivalent to Frey's elliptic curve" provides the possible proof, which Fermat has not published in detail, but which uses the characteristic of all right-angled triangles with sides equal to whole numbers, or the famous Pythagorean identity. Some explanations in session(III) are provided: the first makes evident the nature of the "proof a' la Fermat" and the subsequent sessions clarify the direct and interesting connection of the two elementary proofs and it is necessary if you want to understand how two different elementary proofs of Fermat's Last Theorem are possible. It must be observed that those proofs must in no way be interpreted as a sort of absurd revenge of elementary number theory over more modern analytic and algebraic treatments.The author himself has added a section in which he connects his concepts with some of those used by Wiles in his complex demonstration.This implies that, to a certain extent, Wiles' demonstration inspired the author of those works. Ultimately in this paper we will illustrate how only thanks to some of Euler's discoveries was it possible to shed light on the so-called too narrow margin never written by Fermat. For this reason we will also provide some details on an article that was the real inspiration for achieving these results (see Last Conclusions).
