Abstract:We prove a version of Koszul duality and the induced derived equivalence for Adams connected -algebras that generalizes the classical Beilinson-Ginzburg-Soergel Koszul duality. As an immediate consequence, we give a version of the Bernšte {\uı} n-Gel'fand-Gel'fand correspondence for Adams connected -algebras.We give various applications. For example, a connected graded algebra is Artin-Schelter regular if and only if its Ext-algebra $\Ext^\ast_A (k, k) $ is Frobenius. This generalizes a result of Smith in the Koszul case. If is Koszul and if both and its Koszul dual are noetherian satisfying a polynomial identity, then is Gorenstein if and only if is. The last statement implies that a certain Calabi-Yau property is preserved under Koszul duality.
Minimal W-algebras with non-admissible levels and intermediate Lie algebras

Abstract:In \cite{Kawasetsu:2018irs}, Kawasetsu proved that the simple W-algebra associated with a minimal nilpotent element $W_{k}(\mathfrak{g},f_\theta)$ is rational and $C_2$-cofinite for $\mathfrak{g}=D_4,E_6,E_7,E_8$ with non-admissible level $k=-h^\vee/6$. In this paper, we study ${W}_{k}(\mathfrak{g},f_\theta)$ algebra for $\mathfrak{g}=E_6,E_7,E_8$ with non-admissible level $k=-h^\vee/6+1$. We determine all irreducible (Ramond twisted) modules, compute their characters and find coset constructions and Hecke operator interpretations. These W-algebras are closely related to intermediate Lie algebras and intermediate vertex subalgebras.

Abstract:The goal of the present paper is to investigate non-abelian extensions of Lie-Yamaguti algebras and explore extensibility of a pair of automorphisms about a non-abelian extension of Lie-Yamaguti algebras. First, we study non-abelian extensions of Lie-Yamaguti algebras and classify the non-abelian extensions in terms of non-abelian cohomology groups. Next, we characterize the non-abelian extensions in terms of Maurer-Cartan elements. Moreover, we discuss the equivalent conditions of the extensibility of a pair of automorphisms about a non-abelian extension of Lie-Yamaguti algebras, and derive the fundamental sequences of Wells in the context of Lie-Yamaguti algebras. Finally, we discuss the previous results in the case of abelian extensions of Lie-Yamaguti algebras.

Abstract:We develop techniques to construct isomorphisms between simple affine W-algebras and affine vertex algebras at admissible levels. We then apply these techniques to obtain many new, and conjecturally all, admissible collapsing levels for affine W-algebras. In short, if a simple affine W-algebra at a given level is equal to its affine vertex subalgebra generated by the centraliser of an -triple associated with the underlying nilpotent orbit, then that level is said to be collapsing. Collapsing levels are important both in representation theory and in theoretical physics. Our approach relies on two fundamental invariants of vertex algebras. The first one is the associated variety, which, in the context of admissible level simple affine W-algebras, leads to the Poisson varieties known as nilpotent Slodowy slices. We exploit the singularities of these varieties to detect possible collapsing levels. The second invariant is the asymptotic datum. We prove a general result asserting that, under appropriate hypotheses, equality of asymptotic data implies isomorphism at the level of vertex algebras. Then we use this to give a sufficient criterion, of combinatorial nature, for an admissible level to be collapsing. Our methods also allow us to study isomorphisms between quotients of W-algebras and extensions of simple affine vertex algebras at admissible levels. Based on such examples, we are led to formulate a general conjecture: for any finite extension of vertex algebras, the induced morphism between associated Poisson varieties is dominant.

On the structure of W-algebras in type A

Abstract:We formulate and prove examples of a conjecture which describes the W-algebras in type A as successive quantum Hamiltonian reductions of affine vertex algebras associated with several hook-type nilpotent orbits. This implies that the affine coset subalgebras of hook-type W-algebras are building blocks of the W-algebras in type A. In the rational case, it turns out that the building blocks for the simple quotients are provided by the minimal series of the regular W-algebras. In contrast, they are provided by singlet-type extensions of W-algebras at collapsing levels which are irrational. In the latter case, several new sporadic isomorphisms between different W-algebras are established.

The Schur-Weyl duality and Invariants for classical Lie superalgebras

Abstract:In this article, we provide a comprehensive characterization of invariants of classical Lie superalgebras from the super-analog of the Schur-Weyl duality in a unified way. We establish $\mathfrak{g}$-invariants of the tensor algebra $T(\mathfrak{g})$, the supersymmetric algebra $S(\mathfrak{g})$, and the universal enveloping algebra $\mathrm{U}(\mathfrak{g})$ of a classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$ corresponding to every element in centralizer algebras and their relationship under supersymmetrization. As a byproduct, we prove that the restriction on $T(\mathfrak{g})^{\mathfrak{g}}$ of the projection from $T(\mathfrak{g})$ to $\mathrm{U}(\mathfrak{g})$ is surjective, which enables us to determine the generators of the center $\mathcal{Z}(\mathfrak{g})$ except for $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{osp}_{2m|2n}$. Additionally, we present an alternative algebraic proof of the triviality of $\mathcal{Z}(\mathfrak{p}_n)$. The key ingredient involves a technique lemma related to the symmetric group and Brauer diagrams.

Birational equivalence of the Zassenhaus varieties for basic classical Lie superalgebras and their purely-even reductive Lie subalgebras in odd characteristic

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{g}_{\bar 0}\oplus\mathfrak{g}_{\bar 1}$ be a basic classical Lie superalgebra over an algebraically closed field $\textbf{k}$ of characteristic $p>2$. Denote by $\mathcal{Z}$ the center of the universal enveloping algebra $U(\mathfrak{g})$. Then $\mathcal{Z}$ turns out to be finitely-generated purely-even commutative algebra without nonzero divisors. In this paper, we demonstrate that the fraction $\text{Frac}(\mathcal{Z})$ is isomorphic to $\text{Frac}(\mathfrak{Z})$ for the center $\mathfrak{Z}$ of $U(\mathfrak{g}_{\bar 0})$. Consequently, both Zassenhaus varieties for $\mathfrak{g}$ and $\mathfrak{g}_{\bar 0}$ are birationally equivalent via a subalgebra $\widetilde{mathcal{Z}}\subset\mathcal{Z}$, and $\text{Spec}(\mathcal{Z})$ is rational under the standard hypotheses.

Abstract:We investigate dual realizations of non--commutative spaces of Lie algebra type in terms of formal power series in the Weyl algebra. To each realization of a Lie algebra $\g$ we associate a star--product on the symmetric algebra $S(\g)$ and an ordering on the enveloping algebra $U(\g)$. Dual realizations of $\g$ are defined in terms of left--right duality of the star--products on $S(\g)$. It is shown that the dual realizations are related to an extension problem for $\g$ by shift operators whose action on $U(\g)$ describes left and right shift of the generators of $U(\g)$ in a given monomial. Using properties of the extended algebra, in the Weyl symmetric ordering we derive closed form expressions for the dual realizations of $\g$ in terms of two generating functions for the Bernoulli numbers. The theory is illustrated by considering the $\kappa$--deformed space.

Abstract:We study the compatible left-symmetric algebra structures on the W-algebra W(2,2) with some natural grading conditions. The results of earlier work on left-symmetric algebra structures on the Virasoro algebra play an essential role in determining these compatible structures. As a corollary, any such left-symmetric algebra contains an infinite-dimensional trivial subalgebra that is also a submodule of the regular module.

Abstract:We introduce the partial reductions and inverse Hamiltonian reductions between affine $\mathcal{W}$-algebras along the closure relations of associated nilpotent orbits in the case of $\mathfrak{sl}_4$, fulfilling all the missing constructions in the literature. We also apply the partial reductions to modules in the Kazhdan-Lusztig category and show compatibility with the usual reductions of Weyl modules.

Abstract:We establish a super duality as an equivalence between Whittaker module categories over a pair of classical Lie algebra and Lie superalgebra in the infinite-rank limit. Building on this result and utilizing the Losev-Shu-Xiao decomposition, we obtain a super duality which is an equivalence between module categories over a pair of finite $W$-algebras and $W$-superalgebras at the infinite-rank limit.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a simple Lie algebra: its dual space $\mathfrak{g}^*$ is a Poisson variety. It is well known that for each nilpotent element $f$ in $\mathfrak{g}$, it is possible to construct a new Poisson structure by Hamiltonian reduction which is isomorphic to some subvariety of $\mathfrak{g}^*$, the Slodowy slice $S_f$. Given two nilpotent elements $f_1$ and $f_2$ with some compatibility assumptions, we prove Hamiltonian reduction by stages: the slice $S_{f_2}$ is the Hamiltonian reduction of the slice $S_{f_1}$. We also state an analogous result in the setting of finite W-algebras, which are quantizations of Slodowy slices. These results were conjectured by Morgan in his PhD thesis. As corollary in type A, we prove that any hook-type W-algebra can be obtained as Hamiltonian reduction from any other hook-type one. As an application, we establish a generalization of the Skryabin equivalence. Finally, we make some conjectures in the context of affine W-algebras.

Exceptional algebroids and type IIA superstrings

Abstract:We study exceptional algebroids in the context of warped compactifications of type IIA string theory down to $n$ dimensions, with $n\le 6$. In contrast to the M-theory and type IIB case, the relevant algebroids are no longer exact, and their locali moduli space is no longer trivial, but has $5$ distinct points. This relates to two possible scalar deformations of the IIA theory. The proof of the local classification shows that, in addition to these scalar deformations, one can twist the bracket using a pair of $1$-forms, a $2$-form, a $3$-form, and a $4$-form. Furthermore, we use the analysis to translate the classification of Leibniz parallelisable spaces (corresponding to maximally supersymmetric consistent truncations) into a tractable algebraic problem. We finish with a discussion of the Poisson-Lie U-duality and examples given by tori and spheres in $2$, $3$, and $4$ dimensions.

An explicit classification of dual pairs in exceptional Lie algebras

Abstract:The primary goal of this paper is to explicitly write down all semisimple dual pairs in the exceptional Lie algebras. (A dual pair in a reductive Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ is a pair of subalgebras such that each member equals the other's centralizer in $\mathfrak{g}$.) In a 1994 paper, H. Rubenthaler outlined a process for generating a complete list of candidate dual pairs in each of the exceptional Lie algebras. However, the process of checking whether each of these candidate dual pairs is in fact a dual pair is not easy, and requires several distinct insights and methods. In this paper, we carry out this process and explain the relevant concepts as we go. We also give plenty of examples with the hopes of making Rubenthaler's 1994 result not only more complete but more usable and understandable.
