Abstract:We introduce quantum super-spherical pairs as coideal subalgebras in general linear and orthosymplectic quantum supergroups. These subalgebras play a role of isotropy subgroups for matrices solving $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded reflection equation. They generalize quantum (pseudo)-symmetric pairs of Letzter-Kolb-Regelskis-Vlaar.

Abstract:The present paper develops a general theory of quantum group analogs of symmetric pairs for involutive automorphism of the second kind of symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras. The resulting quantum symmetric pairs are right coideal subalgebras of quantized enveloping algebras. They give rise to triangular decompositions, including a quantum analog of the Iwasawa decomposition, and they can be written explicitly in terms of generators and relations. Moreover, their centers and their specializations are determined. The constructions follow G. Letzter's theory of quantum symmetric pairs for semisimple Lie algebras. The main additional ingredient is the classification of involutive automorphisms of the second kind of symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras due to Kac and Wang. The resulting theory comprises various classes of examples which have previously appeared in the literature, such as q-Onsager algebras and the twisted q-Yangians introduced by Molev, Ragoucy, and Sorba.

Abstract:The quantum duality principal (QDP) by Drinfeld predicts a connection between the quantized universial enveloping algebras and the quantized coordinate algebras, where the underlying classical objects are related by the duality in Poisson geometry. The current paper gives an explicit formulization of the QDP for quantum symmetric pairs. Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a complex semi-simple Lie algebra, equipped with the standard Lie bialgebra structure. Let $\theta$ be a Lie algebra involution on $\mathfrak{g}$ and denote by $\mathfrak{k}=\mathfrak{g}^\theta$ the fixed point subalgebra. The quantum symmetric pair $(\mathrm{U},\mathrm{U}^\imath)$ is originally defined to be a quantization of the symmetric pair of the universial enveloping algebras $(U(\mathfrak{g}),U(\mathfrak{k}))$. In this paper, we show that an explicit specialisation of $(\mathrm{U},\mathrm{U}^\imath)$ gives rise to the pair of the coordinate algebras $(\mathcal{O}(G^*),\mathcal{O}(K^\perp\backslash G^*))$, where $G^*$ is the dual Poisson-Lie group with the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}^*$, and $K^\perp\backslash G^*$ is a $G^*$-Poisson homogeneous space. Here $K^\perp$ is the closed subgroup of $G^*$associated to the complementary dual of $\mathfrak{k}$. Therefore $(\mathrm{U},\mathrm{U}^\imath)$ can be viewed as a pair of quantized coordinate algebras. This generalises the well-known fact that the quantum group $\mathrm{U}$ provides a quantization of the coordinate algebra $\mathcal{O}(G^*)$.

Abstract:We formulate and classify super Satake diagrams under a mild assumption, building on arbitrary Dynkin diagrams for finite-dimensional basic Lie superalgebras. We develop a theory of quantum supersymmetric pairs associated to the super Satake diagrams. We establish the quantum Iwasawa decomposition and construct quasi $K$-matrix associated with the quantum supersymmetric pairs. We also formulate a Schur duality between an $\imath$quantum supergroup (which is a new $q$-deformation of an ortho-symplectic Lie superalgebra) and the $q$-Brauer algebra.

Abstract:Matrix-valued spherical functions related to the quantum symmetric pair for the quantum analogue of $(SU(2) \times SU(2), \text{diag})$ are introduced and studied in detail. The quantum symmetric pair is given in terms of a quantised universal enveloping algebra with a coideal subalgebra. The matrix-valued spherical functions give rise to matrix-valued orthogonal polynomials, which are matrix-valued analogues of a subfamily of Askey-Wilson polynomials. For these matrix-valued orthogonal polynomials a number of properties are derived using this quantum group interpretation: the orthogonality relations from the Schur orthogonality relations, the three-term recurrence relation and the structure of the weight matrix in terms of Chebyshev polynomials from tensor product decompositions, the matrix-valued Askey-Wilson type $q$-difference operators from the action of the Casimir elements. A more analytic study of the weight gives an explicit LDU-decomposition in terms of continuous $q$-ultraspherical polynomials. The LDU-decomposition gives the possibility to find explicit expressions of the matrix entries of the matrix-valued orthogonal polynomials in terms of continuous $q$-ultraspherical polynomials and $q$-Racah polynomials.

A quantization of the big cell is suggested by means of introducing a ∗-algebra generated by holomorphic coordinate functions. Starting from this algebraic structure the irreducible representations of the deformed universal enveloping algebra are derived as acting in the vector space of polynomials in quantum coordinate functions.

Abstract:We categorify a coideal subalgebra of the quantum group of sl(2r+1) by introducing a 2-category analogous to the one defined by Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier, and show that self-dual indecomposable 1-morphisms categorify the canonical basis of this algebra. This allows us to define a categorical action of this coideal algebra on the categories of modules over cohomology rings of partial flag varieties and on the category O of type B/C.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of integrable modules over $\imath$quantum groups (a.k.a. quantum symmetric pair coideal subalgebras). After determining a presentation of such modules, we prove that each integrable module over a quantum group is integrable when restricted to an $\imath$quantum group. As an application, we show that the space of matrix coefficients of all simple integrable modules over an $\imath$quantum group of finite type with specific parameters coincides with Bao-Song's coordinate ring of the $\imath$quantum group.

Abstract:Dual canonical bases of the quantum general linear supergroup are constructed which are invariant under the multiplication of the quantum Berezinian. By setting the quantum Berezinian to identity, we obtain dual canonical bases of the quantum special linear supergroup Oq(SLm|n). We apply the dual canonical bases to study invariant subalgebras of the quantum supergroups under left and right translations. In the case n=1, it is shown that each invariant subalgebra is spanned by a part of the dual canonical bases. This in turn leads to dual canonical bases for any Kac module constructed by using an analogue of Borel–Weil theorem.

Abstract:We present a generalization the G. Letzter's theory of quantum symmetric pairs of semisimple Lie algebras for the case of quantum affine algebras. We then study solutions of the reflection equation for the quantum affine algebras sl(2) and gl(1|1) and their Yangian limit for singlet (diagonal) and vector (non-diagonal) boundary conditions. We construct the corresponding quantum affine coideal subalgebras that are based on the quantum symmetric pairs, and the (generalized) twisted Yangians.

Abstract:We establish a quantum analogue of the classical metaplectic Howe duality involving the pair of Lie algebras $(\mathfrak{sp}_{2n},\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ in the case when $n=1$. Our results yield commuting representations of the pair of Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum groups $(\mathcal U_{q^2}(\mathfrak{sl}_2),\mathcal U_{q}(\mathfrak{sl}_2))$ realized in a suitable algebra of $q$-differential operators acting on the space of symplectic polynomial spinors. We obtain $q$-analogues for the symplectic Dirac operator, the Fischer decomposition, the expression for the symplectic polynomial monogenics and for the projection operators onto the monogenics. We also discuss $q$-analogues of generalized symmetries of the $q$-symplectic Dirac operator raising the homogeneous polynomial degree.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a complex semisimple Lie algebra and let $\mathbf{U}_q(\mathfrak{g})$ denote the associated Drinfel'd Jimbo quantized enveloping algebra. In this paper we study spherical functions of $\mathbf{U}_q(\mathfrak{g})$ related to characters. We show invariance under the Wang-Zhang braid group operators and show relative Weyl group invariance, when restricted to the quantum torus.

In the case $U=U_q(gl_N)$, our constructions provide a quantization of the representations constructed by Etingof, Freund and Ma in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="0801.1530" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0801.1530">arXiv:0801.1530</a>, and also a type $BC$ generalization of the results in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="0805.2766" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0805.2766">arXiv:0805.2766</a>.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a complex simple Lie algebra and $U_qL\mathfrak{g}$ the corresponding quantum affine algebra. We construct a functor ${}^{\theta}{\sf F}$ between finite-dimensional modules over a quantum symmetric pair of affine type $U_q\mathfrak{k}\subset U_qL{\mathfrak{g}}$ and an orientifold KLR algebra arising from a framed quiver with a contravariant involution, providing a boundary analogue of Kang-Kashiwara-Kim-Oh generalized Schur-Weyl duality. With respect to their construction, our combinatorial model is further enriched with the poles of a trigonometric K-matrix intertwining the action of $U_q\mathfrak{k}$ on finite-dimensional $U_qL{\mathfrak{g}}$-modules. By construction, ${}^{\theta}{\sf F}$ is naturally compatible with the Kang-Kashiwara-Kim-Oh functor in that, while the latter is a functor of monoidal categories, ${}^{\theta}{\sf F}$ is a functor of module categories. Relying on a suitable isomorphism à la Brundan-Kleshchev-Rouquier, we prove that ${}^{\theta}{\sf F}$ recovers the Schur-Weyl dualities due to Fan-Lai-Li-Luo-Wang-Watanabe in quasi-split type $\sf AIII$.

Quantum loop groups for symmetric Cartan matrices

Abstract:We introduce a quantum loop group associated to a general symmetric Cartan matrix, by imposing just enough relations between the usual generators $\{e_{i,k}, f_{i,k}\}_{i \in I, k \in \mathbb{Z}}$ in order for the natural Hopf pairing between the positive and negative halves of the quantum loop group to be perfect. As an application, we describe the localized K-theoretic Hall algebra of any quiver without loops, endowed with a particularly important $\mathbb{C}^*$ action.

Abstract:We classify the finite dimensional representations of the quantum symmetric pair coideal subalgebra $B_{\mathbf c}$ of type $DII$ corresponding to the symmetric pair $(so(2N),so(2N-1))$. For $B_{\mathbf c}$ defined over an arbitrary field $k$ and $q\in k$ not a root of unity we establish a one-to-one correspondence between finite dimensional, simple $B_{\mathbf c}$-modules and dominant integral weights for $so(2N-1)$. We use specialisation to show that the category of finite dimensional $B_{\mathbf c}$-modules is semisimple if $\mathrm{char}(k)=0$ and $q$ is transcendental over ${\mathbb Q}$. In this case the characters of simple $B_{\mathbf c}$-modules are given by Weyl's character formula. This means in particular that the quantum symmetric pair of type $DII$ can be used to obtain Gelfand-Tsetlin bases for irreducible representations of the Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum group $U_q(so(2N))$.

Abstract:We develop a $\mathtt{q}$-analogue of the theory of conjugation equivariant $\mathcal D$-modules on a complex reductive group $G$. In particular, we define quantum Hotta-Kashiwara modules and compute their endomorphism algebras. We use the Schur-Weyl functor of the second author, and develop tools from the corresponding double affine Hecke algebra to study this category in the cases $G=GL_N$ and $SL_N$. Our results also have an interpretation in skein theory (explored further in a sequel paper), namely a computation of the $GL_N$ and $SL_N$-skein algebra of the 2-torus.

Abstract:A way to construct the natural representation of the quantized affine algebra Uv(sl̂l) is via the deformed Fock space by Misra and Miwa. This relates the classes of Weyl modules for Uq(slN) were q is a root of unity to the action of Uv(sl̂l) as N tends toward infinity. In this paper we investigate the situation outside of type A . In classical types, we construct embeddings of the Grothendieck group of finite dimensional Uq(g) -modules into Fock spaces of different charges and define an action of an affine quantum symmetric pair that plays the role of the quantized affine algebra. We describe how the action is related to the linkage principal for quantum groups at a root of unity and tensor product multiplicities.

Abstract:We construct quantum supersymmetric pairs $({\bold U},{\bold U}^\imath)$ of type AIII and elucidate their fundamental properties. An $\imath$Schur duality between the $\imath$quantum supergroup ${\bold U}^\imath$ and the Hecke algebra of type B acting on a tensor space is established, providing a super generalization of the $\imath$Schur duality of type AIII. Additionally, we construct a (quasi) $K$-matrix for arbitrary parameters, which facilitates the realization of the Hecke algebra action on the tensor space.
