Abstract:We are interested in four-dimensional Dirac-Klein-Gordon equations, a fundamental model in particle physics. The main goal of this paper is to establish global existence of solutions to the coupled system and to explore their long-time behavior. The results are valid uniformly for mass parameters varying in the interval $[0,1]$.

Our result is valid for general small, high-regular initial data, in particular, there is no restriction on the support of the initial data.

Abstract:In this paper we study global nonlinear stability for the Dirac-Klein-Gordon system in two and three space dimensions for small and regular initial data. In the case of two space dimensions, we consider the Dirac-Klein-Gordon system with a massless Dirac field and a massive scalar field, and prove global existence, sharp time decay estimates and linear scattering for the solutions. In the case of three space dimensions, we consider the Dirac-Klein-Gordon system with a mass parameter in the Dirac equation, and prove uniform (in the mass parameter) global existence, unified time decay estimates and linear scattering in the top order energy space.

Abstract:Consider a quasi-linear system of two Klein–Gordon equations with masses m1, m2. We prove that when m1≠2m2 and m2≠2m1, such a system has global solutions for small, smooth, compactly supported Cauchy data. This extends a result proved by Sunagawa (J. Differential Equations 192 (2) (2003) 308) in the semi-linear case. Moreover, we show that global existence holds true also when m1=2m2 and a convenient null condition is satisfied by the nonlinearities.

Abstract:We are interested in the Klein–Gordon–Zakharov system in ℝ^1+2 , which is an important model in plasma physics with extensive mathematical studies. The system can be regarded as semilinear coupled wave and Klein–Gordon equations with nonlinearities violating the null conditions. Without the compactness assumptions on the initial data, we aim to establish the existence of small global solutions, and in addition, we want to illustrate the optimal pointwise decay of the solutions. Furthermore, we show that the Klein–Gordon part of the system enjoys linear scattering, while the wave part has uniformly bounded low-order energy. None of these goals is easy because of the slow pointwise decay nature of the linear wave and Klein–Gordon components in ℝ^1+2 . We tackle the difficulties by carefully exploiting the properties of the wave and the Klein–Gordon components, and by relying on the ghost weight energy estimates to close higher order energy estimates. This appears to be the first pointwise decay result and the first scattering result for the Klein–Gordon–Zakharov system in ℝ^1+2 without compactness assumptions.

Abstract:In this paper we prove the global existence of classical static solutions of Einstein gravitational theory coupled to a real scalar field where the spacetime admits spherically symmetry. The equations of motions can then be reduced into a single first-order integro-differential equation. First, we obtain the decay estimates of the solutions. Then, in order to prove the global existence, we use the contraction mapping theorem in the appropriate function spaces.

Abstract:On the three dimensional Euclidean space, for data with finite energy, it is well-known that the Maxwell-Klein-Gordon equations admit global solutions. However, the asymptotic behaviours of the solutions for the data with non-vanishing charge and arbitrary large size are unknown. It is conjectured that the solutions disperse as linear waves and enjoy the so-called peeling properties for pointwise estimates. We provide a gauge independent proof of the conjecture.

Abstract:We show that the solution to the semi-linear Klein–Gordon equation on the circle with a nonlinearity satisfying a convenient condition, exists almost globally, for almost every positive mass, provided that it is either even or odd as a function of the space variable. We also show, that if the nonlinearity is independent of the space derivative of the unknown and if it is also even as a function of the time derivative, then the solution exists almost globally, for almost every positive mass. The results are based on the method of normal forms. The difficulty is to find a structure of the nonlinearity so that the process of normal forms can be performed up to any order.

Abstract:We consider 3D Klein-Gordon-Zakharov (KGZ) and Dirac-Klein-Gordon (DKG) systems, where a common feature is that there exist both massless and massive fields in each system. We establish global existence and asymptotic behavior for both systems with a class of large data. More precisely, in the KGZ system, we allow the massless field to be large, while in the DKG system we allow the massive field to be large.

Abstract:In this paper we study the global existence and completeness of classical solutions of gravity coupled a scalar field system called Einstein-Klein-Gordon system in higher dimensions. We introduce a new ansatz function to reduce the problem into a single first-order integro-differential equation. Then, we employ the contraction mapping in the appropriate Banach space. Using Banach fixed theorem, we show that there exists a unique fixed point, which is the solution of the theory. For a given initial data, we prove the existence of both local and global classical solutions. We also study the completeness properties of the spacetime. Here, we introduce a mass-like function for $D\geq 4$ in Bondi coordinates. The completeness of spacetime along the future directed timelike lines outward to a region which resembles the event horizon of the black hole.

Abstract:In this article we will develop some techniques aimed at the strong couplings in two-dimensional wave-Klein-Gordon system. We distinguish the roles of different type of decay factors and develop a method which permits us to “exchange” one type of decay into the other. Then a global existence result of a model problem is established. We also give a sketch of the Klein-Gordon-Zakharov model system and establish the associate global existence result.

Abstract:In this paper we establish the global stability on a type of totally geodesic wave maps and the Klein-Gordon-Zakharov system in R2+1. Both systems belong to a special type of wave-Klein-Gordon system which has its strong coupling terms in divergence form. We cope with the problems by constructing auxiliary systems with the shifted primitives of the original unknowns. This permits us to reveal some hidden structures about Hessian form and null form and then establish the global stability.
