Abstract:A class of stationary axisymmetric solutions of Einstein's equations for isolated differentially rotating dust sources is presented. The low-energy asymptotic regime is extracted, requiring a self-consistent coupling of quasilocal energy and angular momentum. The Raychaudhuri equation reduces to a balance equation, with two important limits. These limits can be interpreted empirically for rotationally supported configurations such as galaxies. The net energy including quasilocal kinetic contributions vanishes on the inner vortex surface, and the outer rotosurface. These new geometrical objects potentially shed light on virialization. Whether or not abundant collisionless dark matter exists, the new solutions suggest that the phenomenology of galactic rotation curves be fundamentally reconsidered, for consistency with general relativity.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to find the exact solutions corresponding to dust sources (such as the star distribution in galaxies) with different rotation rates within the framework of general relativity. Specifically, the authors proposed a new class of exact solutions to the Einstein equations, which are suitable for describing isolated dust - source systems with different rotation rates. These solutions pay special attention to the self - consistent treatment in the low - energy limit, that is, when considering the coupling of local energy and angular momentum, how to ensure the reasonable transition of these physical quantities on different scales. ### Main problem points: 1. **Dust sources with different rotation rates**: - The core problem of the paper is to find a method to describe the distribution of stars in galaxies, which rotate at different speeds at different radii. This phenomenon is called "differential rotation". 2. **Exact solutions within the framework of general relativity**: - The authors attempt to find exact solutions within the framework of general relativity, which is different from the approximate solutions within the framework of traditional Newtonian mechanics. They hope to describe the dynamic behavior of galaxies more accurately through exact solutions. 3. **Self - consistent treatment in the low - energy limit**: - The authors pay special attention to how to self - consistently handle the coupling of local energy and angular momentum in the low - energy limit. This involves how to reasonably transition these physical quantities on different scales, thereby avoiding the inconsistencies and mathematical problems in traditional methods. ### Specific contributions: - **New exact solutions**: - The authors proposed a new class of exact solutions that can describe dust - source systems with different rotation rates. These solutions are not only mathematically self - consistent but also can be consistent with the results of Newtonian mechanics in the low - energy limit. - **Coupling of local energy and angular momentum**: - The authors, by introducing new geometric objects (such as inner spiral surfaces and outer spiral surfaces), discussed in detail the coupling mechanism of local energy and angular momentum. These new objects are helpful for understanding the dynamic behavior of galaxies, especially regarding the phenomenon of galactic rotation curves. - **Impact on dark matter**: - The authors pointed out that their new solutions imply that the traditional understanding of dark matter needs to be reconsidered. Specifically, based on these new solutions, the inferred dark matter content may need to be re - evaluated, which has far - reaching implications for astrophysics and cosmology. ### Summary: The main objective of this paper is to more accurately describe dust - source systems (such as galaxies) with different rotation rates through exact solutions within the framework of general relativity. By introducing new geometric objects and self - consistent low - energy limit treatment methods, the authors solved the inconsistencies and mathematical problems in traditional methods and proposed a new understanding of the dark matter content. These achievements are of great significance for the research in astrophysics and cosmology.
