Abstract:Our motivation is to build a systematic method in order to investigate the structure of cluster algebras of geometric type. The method is given through the notion of mixing-type sub-seeds, the theory of seed homomorphisms and the view-point of gluing of seeds. As an application, for (rooted) cluster algebras, we completely classify rooted cluster subalgebras and characterize rooted cluster quotient algebras in detail. Also, we build the relationship between the categorification of a rooted cluster algebra and that of its rooted cluster subalgebras. Note that cluster algebras of geometric type studied here are of the sign-skew-symmetric case.

Abstract:Following our previous work [18], we introduce the notions of partial seed homomorphisms and partial ideal rooted cluster morphisms. Related to the theory of Green's equivalences, the isomorphism classes of sub-rooted cluster algebras of a rooted cluster algebra are corresponded one-by-one to the regular $\mathcal D$-classes of the semigroup consisting of partial seed endomorphisms of the initial seed. Moreover, for a rooted cluster algebra from a Riemannian surface, they are also corresponded to the isomorphism classes of the so-called paunched surfaces.

Abstract:Cluster algebras are commutative algebras that were introduced by Fomin and Zelevinsky in order to model the dual canonical basis of a quantum group and total positivity in algebraic groups. Cluster categories were introduced as a representation-theoretic model for cluster algebras. In this article we use this representation-theoretic approach to prove a conjecture of Fomin and Zelevinsky, that for cluster algebras with no coefficients associated to quivers with no oriented cycles, a seed is determined by its cluster. We also obtain an interpretation of the monomial in the denominator of a non-polynomial cluster variable in terms of the composition factors of an indecomposable exceptional module over an associated hereditary algebra.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove some combinatorial results on generalized cluster algebras. To be more precisely, we prove that (i) the seeds of a generalized cluster algebra $\mathcal A(\mathcal S)$ whose clusters contain particular cluster variables form a connected subgraph of the exchange graph of $\mathcal A(\mathcal S)$; (ii) there exists a bijection from the set of cluster variables of a generalized cluster algebra to the set of cluster variables of another generalized cluster algebra, if their initial exchange matrices satisfying a mild condition. Moreover, this bijection preserves the set of clusters of these two generalized cluster algebras. As applications of the second result, we prove some properties of the components of the $d$-vectors of a generalized cluster algebra and we give a characterization for the clusters of a generalized cluster algebra.

Abstract:The first part of the article is a survey on the relation between cluster theory and Green's equivalences in semigroup theory. Precisely, we will discuss the isomorphism classes of sub-rooted cluster algebras of a rooted cluster algebra corresponding one-by-one to the regular D-classes of the semigroup consisting of partial seed endomorphisms of the initial seed. In the second part of the article, we will study a rooted cluster algebra from a Riemann surface, also we consider sub-rooted cluster algebras corresponding to the isomorphism classes of the so-called paunched surfaces. Finally, we state our observation for rooted cluster algebras from orbifolds and give a conjectural description for them analogous to those results from the surfaces.

Abstract:We study the relations between two groups related to cluster automorphism groups which are defined by Assem, Schiffler and Shamchenko. We establish the relationships among (strict) direct cluster automorphism groups and those groups consisting of periodicities of labeled seeds and exchange matrices, respectively, in the language of short exact sequences. As an application, we characterize automorphism-finite cluster algebras in the cases of bipartite seeds or finite mutation type. Finally, we study the relation between the group Aut(A) for a cluster algebra A and the group Aut(Mn) (S) for a mutation group M-n and a labeled mutation class S, and we give a negative answer via counter-examples to King and Pressland's problem.

Symmetry Integrability and Geometry Methods and Applications

Abstract:We develop and prove the analogs of some results shown in [Berenstein A., Fomin S., Zelevinsky A., Duke Math. J. 126 (2005), 1-52] concerning lower and upper bounds of cluster algebras to the generalized cluster algebras of geometric type. We show that lower bounds coincide with upper bounds under the conditions of acyclicity and coprimality. Consequently, we obtain the standard monomial bases of these generalized cluster algebras. Moreover, in the appendix, we prove that an acyclic generalized cluster algebra is equal to the corresponding generalized upper cluster algebra without the assumption of the existence of coprimality.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to study periodicities in cluster algebras. Firstly, we give a proof of Restriction and Extension Theorem for cluster algebras without coefficients. Then, we show that the periodicity of a labeled seed with coefficients from an arbitrary semifield depends only on the corresponding extended exchange matrix, which implies the independence of periodicity relative to coefficients.

Abstract:We delve into the properties possessed by algebras, which we have termed seeds, that map to big Cohen-Macaulay algebras. We will show that over a complete local domain of positive characteristic any two big Cohen-Macaulay algebras map to a common big Cohen-Macaulay algebra. We will also strengthen Hochster and Huneke's "weakly functorial" existence result for big Cohen-Macaulay algebras by showing that the seed property is stable under base change between complete local domains of positive characteristic. We also show that every seed over a positive characteristic local ring (R,m) maps to a big Cohen-Macaulay R-algebra that is an absolutely integrally closed, m-adically separated, quasilocal domain.

Abstract:Abstract We introduce a family of cluster algebras of infinite rank associated with root systems of type , , . We show that suitable completions of these cluster algebras are isomorphic to the Grothendieck rings of the categories of the corresponding shifted quantum affine algebras. The cluster variables of a class of distinguished initial seeds are certain formal power series defined by E. Frenkel and the second author, which satisfy a system of functional relations called ‐system. We conjecture that all cluster monomials are classes of simple objects of . In the final section, we show that these cluster algebras contain infinitely many cluster subalgebras isomorphic to the coordinate ring of the open double Bruhat cell of the corresponding simple simply connected algebraic group. This explains the similarity between ‐system relations and certain generalized minor identities discovered by Fomin and Zelevinsky.

Abstract:This is a self-contained exposition of several fundamental properties of cluster scattering diagrams introduced and studied by Gross, Hacking, Keel, and Kontsevich. In particular, detailed proofs are presented for the construction, the mutation invariance, and the positivity of theta functions of cluster scattering diagrams. Throughout the text we highlight the fundamental roles of the dilogarithm elements and the pentagon relation in cluster scattering diagrams.

Abstract:The notion of generalized quantum cluster algebras was introduced as a natural generalization of Berenstein and Zelevinsky's quantum cluster algebras as well as Chekhov and Shapiro's generalized cluster algebras. In this paper, we focus on a generalized quantum cluster algebra of Kronecker type which possesses infinitely many cluster variables. We obtain the cluster multiplication formulas for this algebra. As an application of these formulas, a positive bar-invariant basis is explicitly constructed. Both results generalize those known for the Kronecker cluster algebra and quantum cluster algebra.

Abstract:We develop a general theory of cluster categories, applying to a 2-Calabi-Yau extriangulated category $\mathcal{C}$ and cluster-tilting subcategory $\mathcal{T}$ satisfying only mild finiteness conditions. We show that the structure theory of $\mathcal{C}$ and the representation theory of $\mathcal{T}$ give rise to the rich combinatorial structures of seed data and cluster ensembles, via Grothendieck groups and homological algebra. We demonstrate that there is a natural dictionary relating cluster-tilting subcategories and their tilting theory to A-side tropical cluster combinatorics and, dually, relating modules over $\underline{\mathcal{T}}$ to the X-side; here $\underline{\mathcal{T}}$ is the image of $\mathcal{T}$ in the triangulated stable category of $\mathcal{C}$. Moreover, the exchange matrix associated to $\mathcal{T}$ arises from a natural map $p_{\mathcal{T}}\colon\mathrm{K}_0(\operatorname{mod}\underline{\mathcal{T}})\to\mathrm{K}_0(\mathcal{T})$ closely related to taking projective resolutions. Via our approach, we categorify many key identities involving mutation, g-vectors and c-vectors, including in infinite rank cases and in the presence of loops and 2-cycles. We are also able to define A- and X-cluster characters, which yield A- and X-cluster variables when there are no loops or 2-cycles, and which enable representation-theoretic proofs of cluster-theoretical statements. Continuing with the same categorical philosophy, we give a definition of a quantum cluster category, as a cluster category together with the choice of a map closely related to the adjoint of $p_{\mathcal{T}}$. Our framework enables us to show that any Hom-finite exact cluster category admits a canonical quantum structure, generalising results of Geiß--Leclerc--Schröer.

Abstract:Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Ahead of Print. Cluster algebras, introduced by Fomin and Zelevinsky, are connected to dual canonical bases. Geometric realization is an effective way to solve algebraic problems. In 2002, Fomin and Zelevinsky proposed geometric realizations for root systems and finite-type cluster algebras. This study examines the regulation of mutation in geometric realization. We establish a fascinating link between centrally symmetric triangulations and quivers in classical cluster algebras, showing that these triangulations and quivers are interchangeable under mutation. This connection leads to a significant finding: any cluster variable of a given cluster algebra can induce a connected subquiver within the corresponding initial quiver. Furthermore, we demonstrate that any two quivers generated by cluster variables intersect, emphasizing their connectedness. To illustrate the practical implications of this geometric realization, we present a convenient method to compute seed mutations of type [math] and define a category based on centrally symmetric triangulations. This category's objects are [math]-linear combinations of positive roots of the root system of type [math], and we propose an equivalent condition for morphisms. This condition is a generalization of the case of type [math] by [P. Caldero, F. Chapoton and R. Schiffler, Quivers with relations arising from clusters [math] case), Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 358(3) (2006) 1347–1364]. Finally, we propose a geometric realization for cluster algebras: weighted triangulations. This approach does not require cluster algebras to be of finite type and can verify whether a matrix from a cluster algebra is equivalent to a subdiagonal matrix.

Noncommutative Polygonal Cluster Algebras

Abstract:We define a new family of noncommutative generalizations of cluster algebras called polygonal cluster algebras. These algebras generalize the noncommutative surfaces of Berenstein-Retakh, and are inspired by the emerging theory of $\Theta$-positivity for the groups $\mathrm{Spin}(p,q)$. They are generated by mutations of quivers which we call ST-compatible, and which encode the order of the products that appear in the exchange relations. We show that these ST-compatible quivers can be represented by tilings of surfaces by polygons, a generalization of the description of surface type cluster algebras. As examples, we construct tilings which produce ST-compatible versions of the Del Pezzo quivers and the quivers first described by Le for Fock-Goncharov coordinates for Lie groups of type $B$. We show that polygonal cluster algebras have natural evaluations in Clifford algebras, which we use to produce noncommutative generalizations of the Somos sequences and to parameterize the $\Theta$-positive semigroup of $\mathrm{Spin}(2,n)$. We indicate how this will be done for the semigroup in $\mathrm{Spin}(p,q)$ and how one will give coordinates for general $\Theta$-positive representations into $\mathrm{Spin}(p,q)$.

Lattice structure in cluster algebra of finite type and non-simply-laced Ingalls-Thomas bijection

Abstract:In this paper, we demonstrate that the lattice structure of a set of clusters in a cluster algebra of finite type is anti-isomorphic to the torsion lattice of a certain Geiss-Leclerc-Schröer (GLS) path algebra and to the $c$-Cambrian lattice. We prove this by explicitly describing the exchange quivers of cluster algebras of finite type. Specifically, we prove that these quivers are anti-isomorphic to those formed by support $\tau$-tilting modules in GLS path algebras and to those formed by $c$-clusters consisting of almost positive roots.

Dominant Auslander-Gorenstein algebras and mixed cluster tilting

Abstract:We introduce the class of dominant Auslander-Gorenstein algebras as a generalisation of higher Auslander algebras and minimal Auslander-Gorenstein algebras, and give their basic properties. We also introduce mixed (pre)cluster tilting modules as a generalisation of (pre)cluster tilting modules, and establish an Auslander type correspondence by showing that dominant Auslander-Gorenstein (respectively, Auslander-regular) algebras correspond bijectively with mixed precluster (respectively, cluster) tilting modules. We show that every trivial extension algebra $T(A)$ of a $d$-representation-finite algebra A admits a mixed cluster tilting module and show that this can be seen as a generalisation of the well known result that $d$-representation-finite algebras are fractionally Calabi-Yau. We show that iterated SGC-extensions of a gendo-symmetric dominant Auslander-Gorenstein algebra admit mixed precluster tilting modules.
