Abstract:In this article, we first introduce the quermassintegrals for compact hypersurfaces with capillary boundaries in hyperbolic space from a variational viewpoint, and then we solve an isoperimetric type problem in hyperbolic space. By constructing a new locally constrained inverse curvature flow, we obtain the Alexandrov-Fenchel inequalities for convex capillary hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space. This generalizes a theorem of Brendle-Guan-Li \cite{BGL} for convex closed hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem that this paper attempts to solve is the Alexandrov - Fenchel inequality for compact hypersurfaces with capillary boundaries in the hyperbolic space $\mathbb{H}^{n + 1}$. Specifically, the author introduced quermassintegrals of compact hypersurfaces with capillary boundaries and used these integrals to study isoperimetric - type problems in hyperbolic space. ### Main problem description 1. **Define quermassintegrals**: - The author first defined quermassintegrals $A_{k,\theta}(\bar{\Sigma})$ for compact hypersurfaces with capillary boundaries in the hyperbolic space from the variational perspective. These integrals are obtained by generalizing the existing quermassintegrals of closed hypersurfaces. 2. **Establish the Alexandrov - Fenchel inequality**: - Then, the author established the Alexandrov - Fenchel inequality for convex capillary hypersurfaces. That is, for $n\geq2$, if $\Sigma\subset\mathbb{H}^+$ is a convex capillary hypersurface with a contact angle $\theta\in(0,\pi/2]$, and there exists a geodesic ball cap $C_{\theta,r_0}$ such that $\Sigma\subset dC_{\theta,r_0}$, then the following inequality holds: \[ A_{n,\theta}(\bar{\Sigma})\geq(f_{n,\theta}\circ f^{-1}_{k,\theta})\left(A_{k,\theta}(\bar{\Sigma})\right),\quad\forall1\leq k\leq n - 1, \] where $f_{k,\theta}(r):=A_{k,\theta}(dC_{\theta,r})$. Moreover, the equality holds if and only if $\Sigma$ is a geodesic ball cap. 3. **Solve the isoperimetric - type problem**: - The establishment of these inequalities solves the isoperimetric - type problem for compact hypersurfaces with non - empty boundaries in the hyperbolic space. In particular, when $\theta=\frac{\pi}{2}$, these inequalities degenerate into the Alexandrov - Fenchel inequality for closed hypersurfaces in the hyperbolic space. ### Solution method To prove the above results, the author constructed a locally constrained inverse curvature flow and demonstrated the existence and convergence of this flow. The specific steps are as follows: - **Construct the inverse curvature flow**: The author introduced a new locally constrained inverse curvature flow that satisfies the capillary boundary condition on the boundary. - **Monotonicity property**: Along this flow, the quermassintegral $A_{n,\theta}(\bar{\Sigma}_t)$ remains unchanged, while $A_{k,\theta}(\bar{\Sigma}_t)$ is non - decreasing for $1\leq k\leq n - 1$. - **Long - time existence and convergence**: By obtaining uniform curvature estimates, especially the two - sided uniform bounds on $F$, the author proved that this flow exists for all times $t\in[0,\infty)$ and converges smoothly to a geodesic ball cap. Through these steps, the author successfully solved the isoperimetric - type problem for compact hypersurfaces with capillary boundaries in the hyperbolic space and established the corresponding Alexandrov - Fenchel inequality.
