Abstract:We study the category of holonomic $\mathscr{D}_{X}$-modules for a quasi-compact, quasi-separated, smooth rigid analytic variety $X$ over the field $\mathbb{C}(\!(t)\!)$. In particular, we prove finiteness of the de Rham cohomology for such modules.

Abstract:Let G be a $p$-adic Lie group. We develop a dimension theory for coadmissible G-equivariant $\mathcal{D}$-modules on smooth rigid analytic spaces. We introduce the category of weakly holonomic G-equivariant $\mathcal{D}$-modules, study its duality and its preservation under various operations.

Abstract:In this paper, we treat $\mathscr{D}$-modules on the basic affine space $G/U$ and their global sections for a semisimple complex algebraic group $G$. Our aim is to prepare basic results about large non-irreducible modules for the branching problem and harmonic analysis of reductive Lie groups. A main tool is a formula given by Bezrukavnikov--Braverman--Positselskii. The formula is about a product of functions and their Fourier transforms on $G/U$ like Capelli's identity. Using the formula, we give a generalization of the Beilinson--Bernstein correspondence. We show that the global sections of holonomic $\mathscr{D}$-modules are also holonomic using the formula. As a consequence, we give a large algebra action on the $\mathfrak{u}$-cohomologies $H^i(\mathfrak{u}; V)$ of a $\mathfrak{g}$-module $V$ when $V$ is realized as a holonomic $\mathscr{D}$-module. We consider affinity of the supports of the $\mathfrak{t}$-modules $H^i(\mathfrak{u}; V)$.

Abstract:Let $X=\mathbb{A}^{n}$ be complex affine space, and let $T^{*}X$ be its cotangent bundle. For any exact Lagrangian $L\subset T^{*}X$, we define a new invariant, A, living in $ \text{Div}_{\mathbb{Q}/\mathbb{Z}}(L)$. We call this invariant the monodromy divisor of $L$. We conjecture that the existence of a finite order character of $\pi_{1}(L$) whose monodromy is exactly A defines an obstruction to attaching a holonomic $\mathcal{D}_{X}$-module M associated to L - here, the association goes via positive characteristic and p-supports. In the case where $\mathbb{H}_{dR}^{1}(L)=0$, we prove this conjecture, and then go on the show that the set of such holonomic $\mathcal{D}_{X}$-modules forms a torsor over the group of finite order characters of $\pi_{1}$. This proves a version of a conjecture of Kontsevich. As a consequence, we deduce that the group of Morita autoequivalences of the n-th Weyl algebra is isomorphic to the group of symplectomorphisms of $T^{*}\mathbb{A}^{n}$. This generalizes an old theorem of Dixmier (in the case n=1) and settles a conjecture of Belov-Kanel and Kontsevich in general.

Rigidification of arithmetic $\mathscr{D}$-modules and an overconvergent Riemann-Hilbert correspondence

Abstract:In this article, I define triangulated categories of constructible isocrystals on varieties over a perfect field of positive characteristic, in which Le Stum's abelian category of constructible isocrystals sits as the heart of a natural t-structure. I then prove a Riemann-Hilbert correspondence, showing that, for objects admitting some (unspecified) Frobenius, this triangulated category is equivalent to the triangulated category of overholonomic $\mathscr{D}^\dagger$-modules in the sense of Caro. I also show that the cohomological functors $f^!$, $f_+$ and $\otimes$ defined for $\mathscr{D}^\dagger$-modules have natural interpretations on the constructible side of this correspondence. Finally, I use this to prove that, for any variety $X$ admitting an immersion into a smooth and proper formal scheme, rigid cohomology (with lisse coefficients) agrees with cohomology defined using arithmetic $\mathscr{D}$-modules.

Abstract:To any rigid analytic space (in the sense of Fujiwara-Kato) we assign an $\mathbb{A}^1$-invariant rigid analytic homotopy category with coefficients in any presentable category. We show some functorial properties of this assignment as a functor on the category of rigid analytic spaces. Moreover, we show that there exists a full six functor formalism for the precomposition with the analytification functor by evoking Ayoub's thesis. As an application, we identify connective analytic K-theory in the unstable homotopy category with both $\mathbb{Z}\times\mathrm{BGL}$ and the analytification of connective algebraic K-theory. As a consequence, we get a representability statement for coefficients in light condensed spectra.

Abstract:Based on the recent progress in the irregular Riemann-Hilbert correspondence, we study the monodromies at infinity of the holomorphic solutions of Fourier transforms of holonomic D-modules in some situations. Formulas for their eigenvalues are obtained by applying the theory of monodromy zeta functions to our previous results on the enhanced solution complexes of the Fourier transforms. In particular, in dimension one we thus find a reciprocity law between the monodromies at infinity of holonomic D-modules and their Fourier transforms.

Abstract:We show that the category of ind-coherent sheaves on a quasi-smooth scheme is naturally tensored over the category of sheared D-modules on its shifted cotangent bundle, commuting with its natural action of categorified Hoschschild cochains. We prove that it defines a Morita equivalence as such. We then extend these results to quasi-smooth Artin stacks. As a consequence of our formalism, we are able to articulate a precise sense in which the space of unramified automorphic functions over a function field localizes over the stack of arithmetic Arthur parameters.

Abstract:By building on the notions of internal projective and injective objects in a module category introduced by Douglas, Schommer-Pries, and Snyder, we extend the reconstruction theory for module categories of Etingof and Ostrik. More explicitly, instead of algebra objects in finite tensor categories, we consider quasi-finite coalgebra objects in locally finite tensor categories. Moreover, we show that module categories over non-rigid monoidal categories can be reconstructed via lax module monads, which generalize algebra objects. For the category of finite-dimensional comodules over a (non-Hopf) bialgebra, we give this result a more concrete form, realizing module categories as categories of contramodules over Hopf trimodule algebras -- this specializes to our tensor-categorical results in the Hopf case. Using lax module functors we give a categorical proof of the variant of the fundamental theorem of Hopf modules which applies to Hopf trimodules. We also give a characterization of fusion operators for a Hopf monad as coherence cells for a module functor structure, using which we similarly reinterpret and reprove the Hopf-monadic fundamental theorem of Hopf modules due to Bruguières, Lack, and Virelizier.

Abstract:We introduce a category of 'rigid spaces with overconvergent structure sheaf' which we call dagger spaces --- this is the correct category in which de Rham cohomology in rigid analysis should be studied. We compare it with the (usual) category of rigid spaces, give Serre and Poincaré duality theorems and explain the relation with Berthelot's rigid cohomology.

Abstract:Based on the recent developments in the irregular Riemann-Hilbert correspondence for holonomic D-modules and the Fourier-Sato transforms for enhanced ind-sheaves, we study the Fourier transforms of some irregular holonomic D-modules. For this purpose, the singularities of rational and meromorphic functions on complex affine varieties will be studied precisely, with the help of some new methods and tools such as meromorphic vanishing cycle functors. As a consequence, we show that the exponential factors and the irregularities of the Fourier transform of a holonomic D-module are described geometrically by the stationary phase method, as in the classical case of dimension one. A new feature in the higher-dimensional case is that we have some extra rank jump of the Fourier transform produced by the singularities of the linear perturbations of the exponential factors at their points of indeterminacy. In the course of our study, not necessarily homogeneous Lagrangian cycles that we call irregular characteristic cycles will play a crucial role.

Rational $p$-adic Hodge theory for rigid-analytic varieties

Abstract:We study a cohomology theory for rigid-analytic varieties over $\mathbb{C}_p$, without properness or smoothness assumptions, taking values in filtered quasi-coherent complexes over the Fargues-Fontaine curve, which compares to other rational $p$-adic cohomology theories for rigid-analytic varieties $-$ namely, the rational $p$-adic pro-étale cohomology, the Hyodo-Kato cohomology, and the infinitesimal cohomology over the positive de Rham period ring. In particular, this proves a conjecture of Le Bras. Such comparison results are made possible thanks to the systematic use of the condensed and solid formalisms developed by Clausen-Scholze. As applications, we deduce some general comparison theorems that describe the rational $p$-adic pro-étale cohomology in terms of de Rham data, thereby recovering and extending results of Colmez-Niziol.

Abstract:We prove that the cohomology groups of an etale Q_p-local system on a smooth proper rigid analytic space are finite-dimensional Q_p-vector spaces, provided that the base field is either a finite extension of Q_p or an algebraically closed nonarchimedean field containing Q_p. This result manifests as a special case of a more general finiteness result for the higher direct images of a relative (phi, Gamma)-module along a smooth proper morphism of rigid analytic spaces over a mixed-characterstic nonarchimedean field.

Abstract:Let $N$ be a closed, connected, and oriented Riemannian manifold, which admits a quasiregular $\omega$-curve $\mathbb{R}^n \to N$ with infinite energy. We prove that, if the de Rham class of $\omega$ is non-zero and belongs to a so-called Künneth ideal, then there exists a non-trivial graded algebra homomorphism $H_{\mathrm{dR}}^*(N) \to \bigwedge^* \mathbb{R}^n$ from the de Rham algebra $H_{\mathrm{dR}}^*(N)$ of $N$ to the exterior algebra $\bigwedge^* \mathbb{R}^n$. As an application, we give examples of pairs $(N,\omega)$, where $N$ is a closed manifold and $\omega$ is a closed $n$-form for $n<\dim N$, for which every quasiregular $\omega$-curve $\mathbb{R}^n \to N$ is constant.

Abstract:Let $R$ be a commutative noetherian ring and $I$ an ideal of $R$. Assume that for all integers $i$ the local cohomology module $H_I^i(R)$ is $I$-cofinite. Suppose that $R_\mathfrak{p}$ is a regular local ring for all prime ideals $\mathfrak{p}$ that do not contain $I$. In this paper, we prove that if the $I$-cofinite modules forms an abelian category, then for all finitely generated $R$-modules $M$ and all integers $i$, the local cohomology module $H_I^i(M)$ is $I$-cofinite.

Moderate Growth and Rapid Decay Nearby Cycles via Enhanced Ind-Sheaves

Abstract:For any holomorphic function $f\colon X\to \mathbb{C}$ on a complex manifold $X$, we define and study moderate growth and rapid decay objects associated to an enhanced ind-sheaf on $X$. These will be sheaves on the real oriented blow-up space of $X$ along $f$. We show that, in the context of the irregular Riemann--Hilbert correspondence of D'Agnolo--Kashiwara, these objects recover the classical de Rham complexes with moderate growth and rapid decay associated to a holonomic $\mathcal{D}_X$-module. In order to prove the latter, we resolve a recent conjectural duality of Sabbah between these de Rham complexes of holonomic $\mathcal{D}_X$-modules with growth conditions along a normal crossing divisor by making the connection with a classic duality result of Kashiwara--Schapira between certain topological vector spaces. Via a standard dévissage argument, we then prove Sabbah's conjecture for arbitrary divisors. As a corollary, we then recover the well-known perfect pairing between the algebraic de Rham cohomology and rapid decay homology associated to integrable connections on smooth varieties due to Bloch--Esnault and Hien.
