Abstract:Abstract We consider ‐invariants of Artin groups that satisfy the ‐conjecture. These invariants determine the cohomological finiteness conditions of subgroups that contain the derived subgroup. We extend a known result for even Artin groups of FC‐type, giving a sufficient condition for a character to belong to . We also prove some partial converses. As applications, we prove that the ‐conjecture holds true when there is a prime that divides for any edge with even label , we generalize to Artin groups the homological version of the Bestvina–Brady theorem and we compute the ‐invariants of all irreducible spherical and affine Artin groups and triangle Artin groups, which provide a complete classification of the and properties of their derived subgroup.

Abstract:We consider $\Sigma$-invariants of Artin groups that satisfy the $K(\pi,1)$-conjecture. These invariants determine the cohomological finiteness conditions of subgroups that contain the derived subgroup. Abstract:This note discusses some intriguing connections between height bounds on complex K-semistable Fano varieties X and Peyre's conjectural formula for the density of rational points on X. Relations to an upper bound for the smallest rational point, proposed by Elsenhans-Jahnel, are also explored. These relations suggest an analog of the height inequalities, adapted to the real points, which is established for the real projective line and related to Kähler-Einstein metrics.

Abstract:To any projective pair $(X,B)$ equipped with an ample $\mathbb{Q}$-line bundle $L$ (or even any ample numerical class), we attach a new invariant $\beta(\mu)\in\mathbb{R}$, defined on convex combinations $\mu$ of divisorial valuations on $X$, viewed as point masses on the Berkovich analytification of $X$. The construction is based on non-Archimedean pluripotential theory, and extends the Dervan-Legendre invariant for a single valuation--itself specializing to Li and Fujita's valuative invariant in the Fano case, which detects K-stability. Using our $\beta$-invariant, we define divisorial (semi)stability, and show that divisorial semistability implies $(X,B)$ is sublc (i.e. its log discrepancy function is non-negative), and that divisorial stability is an open condition with respect to the polarization $L$. We also show that divisorial stability implies uniform K-stability in the usual sense of (ample) test configurations, and that it is equivalent to uniform K-stability with respect to all norms/filtrations on the section ring of $(X,L)$, as considered by Chi Li.

Cycles in spherical Deligne complexes and application to $K(π,1)$-conjecture for Artin groups

Abstract:We show the $K(\pi,1)$-conjecture holds for Artin groups whose Dynkin diagrams are complete bipartite (edge labels are allowed to be arbitrary), answering a question of J. McCammond. Along the way, we treat several related families of hyperbolic type Artin groups, namely the $K(\pi,1)$-conjecture holds for all 3-dimensional hyperbolic type Artin groups, except one single example with Dynkin diagram $[3,5,3]$; and the conjecture holds for all quasi-Lannér hyperbolic type Artin groups up to dimension 4. We also treat several higher dimensional families. Most of the article is about developing new methods of understanding combinatorial minimal fillings of certain types of cycles in spherical Deligne complexes or relative Artin complexes, via non-positive curvature geometry. Then we combine this with an approached to the $K(\pi,1)$-conjecture introduced by a previous article of the author to settle new cases of $K(\pi,1)$-conjecture. In the appendix we list some related open questions and conjectures.

Abstract:In this short note we formulate a stabilizer formalism in the language of noncommutative graphs. The classes of noncommutative graphs we consider are obtained via unitary representations of compact groups, and suitably chosen operators on finite-dimensional Hilbert spaces. Furthermore, in this framework, we generalize previous results in this area for determining when such noncommutative graphs have anticliques.

Abstract:We explain how structures analogous to those appearing in the theory of stability conditions on abelian and triangulated categories arise in geometric invariant theory. This leads to an axiomatic notion of a central charge on a scheme with a group action, and ultimately to a notion of a stability condition on a stack analogous to that on an abelian category. We use these ideas to introduce an axiomatic notion of a stability condition for polarised schemes, defined in such a way that K-stability is a special case. In the setting of axiomatic geometric invariant theory on a smooth projective variety, we produce an analytic counterpart to stability and explain the role of the Kempf-Ness theorem. This clarifies many of the structures involved in the study of deformed Hermitian Yang-Mills connections, Z-critical connections and Z-critical Kähler metrics.

Abstract:We show that for a large class of Artin groups with Dynkin diagrams being a tree, the $K(\pi,1)$-conjecture holds. We also establish the $K(\pi,1)$-conjecture for another class of Artin groups whose Dynkin diagrams contain a cycle, which applies to some hyperbolic type Artin groups. Abstract:We study the space of stability conditions $\Stab(X)$ on the non-compact Calabi-Yau threefold $X$ which is the total space of the canonical bundle of $\PP^2$. We give a combinatorial description of an open subset of $\Stab(X)$ and state a conjecture relating $\Stab(X)$ to the Frobenius manifold obtained from the quantum cohomology of $\PP^2$. We give some evidence from mirror symmetry for this conjecture.

Abstract:Let $F/F^+$ be a CM extension and $H_{/F^+}$ a definite unitary group in three variables that splits over $F$. We describe Hecke isotypic components of mod $p$ algebraic modular forms on $H$ at first principal congruence level at $p$ and "minimal" level away from $p$ in terms of the restrictions of the associated Galois representation to decomposition groups at $p$ when these restrictions are tame and sufficiently generic. This confirms an expectation of local-global compatibility in the mod $p$ Langlands program. To prove our result, we develop a local model theory for multitype deformation rings and new methods to work with patched modules that are not free over their scheme-theoretic support.

Abstract:The main goal of this article is to expand the theory of invariants of Artin-Schreier curves by giving a complete classification in genus 3 and 4. To achieve this goal, we first establish standard forms of Artin-Schreier curves and determine all isomorphisms between curves in this form. We then compute reconstructing systems of invariants for curves in each connected component of the strata of the moduli spaces for Artin-Schreier curves of genus 3 and 4 for $p>2$.

Stability Conditions on Free Abelian Quotients

Abstract:We study slope-stable vector bundles and Bridgeland stability conditions on varieties which are a quotient of a smooth projective variety by a finite abelian group $G$ acting freely. We show there is a one-to-one correspondence between $\widehat{G}$-invariant geometric stability conditions on the quotient and $G$-invariant geometric stability conditions on the cover. We apply our results to describe a connected component inside the stability manifolds of free abelian quotients when the cover has finite Albanese morphism. This applies to varieties with non-finite Albanese morphism which are free abelian quotients of varieties with finite Albanese morphism, such as Beauville-type and bielliptic surfaces. This gives a partial answer to a question raised by Lie Fu, Chunyi Li, and Xiaolei Zhao: If a variety $X$ has non-finite Albanese morphism, does there always exist a non-geometric stability condition on $X$? We also give counterexamples to a conjecture of Fu-Li-Zhao concerning the Le Potier function, which characterises Chern classes of slope-semistable sheaves. As a result of independent interest, we give a description of the set of geometric stability conditions on an arbitrary surface in terms of a refinement of the Le Potier function. This generalises a result of Fu-Li-Zhao from Picard rank one to arbitrary Picard rank.
