Abstract:By measuring magnetizations of pristine and Ta-doped CsV$_{3}$Sb$_{5}$ single crystals, we have carried out systematic studies on the lower critical field, critical current density, and equilibrium magnetization of this kagome system. The lower critical field has been investigated in the two typical samples, and the temperature dependent lower critical field obtained in Ta-doped sample can be fitted by using the model with two $s$-wave superconducting gaps yielding the larger gap of $2\Delta_{s1}/k_\mathrm{B}T_\mathrm{c}=7.9\;(\pm1.8)$. This indicates a strong-coupling feature of the V-based superconductors. The measured magnetization hysteresis loops allow us to calculate the critical current density, which shows a very weak bulk vortex pinning. The magnetization hysteresis loops measured in these two kinds of samples can be well described by a recently proposed generalized phenomenological model, which leads to the determination of many fundamental parameters for these superconductors. Our systematic results and detailed analysis conclude that this V-based kagome system has features of strong-coupling superconductivity, relatively large Ginzburg-Landau parameter and weak vortex coupling.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problems that this paper attempts to solve mainly focus on the following aspects: 1. **Strong - coupling superconducting properties**: By measuring the magnetic susceptibility of undoped and tantalum - doped CsV₃Sb₅ single crystals, researchers systematically studied the lower critical magnetic field, critical current density, and equilibrium magnetic susceptibility of these materials. In particular, they focused on whether these materials exhibit strong - coupling superconducting properties, which can be measured by the superconducting energy - gap ratio \(\frac{2\Delta_s1}{k_BT_c}\). In the tantalum - doped samples, this ratio is 7.9 (±1.8), much higher than 3.53 expected by the weak - coupling BCS theory, indicating strong - coupling characteristics. 2. **Vortex - pinning properties**: Researchers also studied the vortex - pinning properties in these materials. By measuring the magnetization hysteresis loop, they calculated the critical current density \(J_c\), and the results showed that these materials have very weak bulk - vortex - pinning properties. This weak - pinning property may be due to the weak vortex - vortex interaction inside the materials. 3. **Multi - band superconducting mechanism**: In order to better understand the superconducting mechanism of these materials, researchers used a model containing two s - wave superconducting energy gaps to fit the experimental data. The results showed that these materials do have multi - band superconducting properties, with a larger energy gap of 1.8 meV and a smaller one of 0.43 meV. This finding is consistent with the previous research results in undoped CsV₃Sb₅, further supporting the existence of the multi - band superconducting mechanism. 4. **The influence of doping on superconducting properties**: Researchers also explored the influence of tantalum doping on the superconducting properties of CsV₃Sb₅. The results showed that tantalum doping significantly increased the critical temperature \(T_c\) and the upper critical magnetic field \(H_{c2}\), and also enhanced the lower critical magnetic field \(H_{c1}\). These results indicate that doping can effectively regulate the superconducting properties of these materials. In summary, the main purpose of this paper is to reveal the superconducting properties of CsV₃Sb₅ and its tantalum - doped samples through systematic experimental and theoretical analysis, especially its strong - coupling superconducting properties, weak - vortex - pinning properties, and multi - band superconducting mechanism. These studies not only help to deeply understand the superconducting mechanism of this kind of materials, but also provide an important reference for possible future applications.
