Abstract:The idea of using Dirac cohomology to study branching laws was initiated by Huang, Pandzić and Zhu in 2013 [HPZ]. One of their results says that the Dirac cohomology of $\pi$ completely determines $\pi|_{K}$, where $\pi$ is any irreducible unitarizable highest weight $(\mathfrak{g}, K)$ module. This paper aims to develop this idea for the exceptional Lie groups $E_{6(-14)}$ and $E_{7(-25)}$: we recover the $K$-spectrum of the Wallach modules from their Dirac cohomology.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The paper aims to study the application of Dirac cohomology in determining the branching laws for specific representations of the exceptional Lie groups \(E_6(-14)\) and \(E_7(-25)\). More specifically, the authors aim to recover the \(K\)-spectrum (the spectrum of the maximal compact subgroup \(K\)) of the Wallach modules from their Dirac cohomology. ### Key Points: 1. **Dirac Cohomology and Branching Laws:** - The concept of using Dirac cohomology to study branching laws was initiated by Huang, Pandžić, and Zhu in 2013. - One of their results states that the Dirac cohomology of a representation \(\pi\) completely determines \(\pi|_K\), where \(\pi\) is any irreducible unitarizable highest weight \((\mathfrak{g},K)\)-module. 2. **Exceptional Lie Groups:** - The paper focuses on the exceptional Lie groups \(E_6(-14)\) and \(E_7(-25)\). - For \(E_6(-14)\), there is 1 Wallach module, while for \(E_7(-25)\), there are 2. 3. **Main Objective:** - The main objective is to develop the idea of using Dirac cohomology to recover the \(K\)-spectrum of the Wallach modules for these groups. 4. **Preliminaries:** - Necessary preliminaries on Dirac cohomology are collected, including the definition of the Dirac operator and Dirac cohomology. 5. **Tensor Product Decomposition:** - Results on the decomposition of tensor products of irreducible finite-dimensional modules are developed, particularly for types \(D_n\) and \(E_6\). 6. **Analysis of Specific Groups
