Abstract:Categorical coset constructions are investigated and Kac-Wakimoto Hypothesis associated with pseudo unitary modular tensor categories is proved. In particular, the field identifications are obtained. These results are applied to the coset constructions in the theory of vertex operator algebra.

Abstract:We introduce two K-theories, one for vector bundles whose fibers are modules of vertex operator algebras, another for vector bundles whose fibers are modules of associative algebras. We verify the cohomological properties of these K-theories, and construct a natural homomorphism from the VOA K-theory to the associative algebra K-theory.

Abstract:The Kontsevich-Soibelman wall-crossing formula is known to control the jumping behavior of BPS state counting indices in four-dimensional theories with $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetry. The formula can take two equivalent forms: a ``fermionic'' form with nice positivity properties and a ``bosonic'' form with a clear physical interpretation. In an important class of examples, the fermionic form of the formula has a mathematical categorification involving PBW bases for a Cohomological Hall Algebra. The bosonic form lacks an analogous categorification. We construct an equivalence of chain complexes which categorifies the simplest example of the bosonic wall-crossing formula: the bosonic pentagon identity for the quantum dilogarithm. The chain complexes can be promoted to differential graded algebras which we relate to the PBW bases of the relevant CoHA by a certain quadratic duality. The equivalence of complexes then follows from the relation between quadratic duality and Koszul duality. We argue that this is a special case of a general phenomenon: the bosonic wall-crossing formulae are categorified to equivalences of $A_\infty$ algebras which are quadratic dual to PBW presentations of algebras which underlie the fermionic wall-crossing formulae. We give a partial interpretation of our differential graded algebras in terms of a holomorphic-topological version of BPS webs.

Koszul duality for Coxeter groups

Abstract:We construct a "Koszul duality" equivalence relating the (diagrammatic) Hecke category attached to a Coxeter system and a given realization to the Hecke category attached to the same Coxeter system and the dual realization. This extends a construction of Beilinson-Ginzburg-Soergel and Bezrukavnikov-Yun in a geometric context, and of the first author with Achar, Makisumi and Williamson. As an application, we show that the combinatorics of the "tilting perverse sheaves" considered in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1802.07651" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1802.07651">arXiv:1802.07651</a> is encoded in the combinatorics of the canonical basis of the Hecke algebra of $(W,S)$ attached to the dual realization.

Abstract:Topological properties of compactly-fibered coset spaces are investigated. It is proved that for a compactly-fibered coset space X with Nag(X) <= tau, the closure of a family of G(tau)-sets is also a G(tau)-set in X. We also show that the equation chi(X) = pi chi(X) holds for any compactly-fibered coset space X. A Dichotomy Theorem for compactly-fibered coset spaces is established: every remainder of such a space has the Baire property, or is sigma-compact.

Abstract:We use the method of Bruinier--Raum to show that symmetric formal Fourier--Jacobi series, in the cases of norm-Euclidean imaginary quadratic fields, are Hermitian modular forms. Consequently, combining a theorem of Yifeng Liu, we deduce Kudla's conjecture on the modularity of generating series of special cycles of arbitrary codimension for unitary Shimura varieties defined in these cases.

Abstract:We give a proof of the parabolic/singular Koszul duality for the category O of affine Kac-Moody algebras. The main new tool is a relation between moment graphs and finite codimensional affine Schubert varieties. We apply this duality to q-Schur algebras and to cyclotomic rational double affine Hecke algebras. This yields a proof of a conjecture of Chuang-Miyachi relating the level-rank duality with the Ringel-Koszul duality of cyclotomic rational double affine Hecke algebras.

Abstract:We prove a new symplectic analogue of Kashiwara's Equivalence from D-module theory. As a consequence, we establish a structure theory for module categories over deformation quantizations that mirrors, at a higher categorical level, the Bialynicki-Birula stratification of a variety with an action of the multiplicative group. The resulting categorical cell decomposition provides an algebro-geometric parallel to the structure of Fukaya categories of Weinstein manifolds. From it, we derive concrete consequences for invariants such as K-theory and Hochschild homology of module categories of interest in geometric representation theory.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate weak countability axioms of coset spaces. We first discuss biradial coset spaces. It is mainly shown that if H is a closed neutral subgroup of a topological group G, then (1) G/H is biradial ⇔ G/H is nested; (2) G/H is monotonically normal if G/H is nested; (3) G/H is metrizable ⇔ G/H is a biradial space with countable pseudocharacter. We also study coset spaces with certain point-countable covers. In particular, we prove that if H is a closed neutral subgroup of a topological group G, then (4) G/H is metrizable ⇔ G/H is determined by a point-finite cover consisting of bisequential spaces. In the end, we consider coset spaces with certain local countable networks. It is mainly shown that if H is a closed neutral subgroup of a topological group G, then (5) G/H is metrizable ⇔ G/H is an α4 and k-space with an ωω-base; (6) G/H is cosmic ⇔ G/H is a separable space with countable cn-character; (7) G/H is metrizable ⇔ G/H has countable cn-character provided G/H has the Baire property.
Categorified Open Topological Field Theories

Abstract:In this short note, we classify linear categorified open topological field theories in dimension two by pivotal Grothendieck-Verdier categories. In combination with recently developed string-net techniques, this leads to a new description of the spaces of conformal blocks of Drinfeld centers $Z(\mathcal{C})$ of pivotal finite tensor categories $\mathcal{C}$ in terms of the modular envelope of the cyclic associative operad. If $\mathcal{C}$ is unimodular, we prove that the space of conformal blocks inherits the structure of a module over the algebra of class functions of $\mathcal{C}$ for every free boundary component. As a further application, we prove that the sewing along a boundary circle for the modular functor for $Z(\mathcal{C})$ can be decomposed into a sewing procedure along an interval and the application of the partial trace. Finally, we construct mapping class group representations from Grothendieck-Verdier categories that are not necessarily rigid and make precise how these generalize existing constructions.

Abstract:A topological space X is called a coset space if X is homeomorphic to a quotient space G/H of left cosets, for some closed subgroup H of a topological group G. In this paper, we investigate the cardinal invariants of coset spaces. We first show that if H is a closed neutral subgroup of a topological group G, then Delta(G/H) = psi(G/H), w(G/H) = d(G/H) center dot chi(G/H) and w(G/H) = l(G/H) center dot chi(G/H). We also prove that if H is a closed subgroup of a feathered topological group G, then (1) w(G/H) = d(G/H) center dot chi(G/H) and w(G/H) = l(G/H) center dot chi(G/H); (2) the quotient space G/H is metrizable if and only if G/H is first-countable. At the end, we consider some applications of sp-networks in coset spaces. In particular, we show that if H is a closed neutral subgroup of a topological group G, then (1) spnw(G/H) = d(G/H) center dot sp(chi)(G/H); (2) the quotient space G/H is metrizable if and only if G/H has countable sp-character. A Categorical Approach To The Baum–Connes Conjecture For Étale Groupoids

Abstract:We consider the equivariant Kasparov category associated to an étale groupoid, and by leveraging its triangulated structure we study its localization at the 'weakly contractible' objects, extending previous work by R. Meyer and R. Nest. We prove the subcategory of weakly contractible objects is complementary to the localizing subcategory of projective objects, which are defined in terms of 'compactly induced' algebras with respect to certain proper subgroupoids related to isotropy. The resulting 'strong' Baum–Connes conjecture implies the classical one, and its formulation clarifies several permanence properties and other functorial statements. We present multiple applications, including consequences for the Universal Coefficient Theorem, a generalized 'going-down' principle, injectivity results for groupoids that are amenable at infinity, the Baum–Connes conjecture for group bundles, and a result about the invariance of K-groups of twisted groupoid -algebras under homotopy of twists.

Abstract:We introduce the Cuntz-Thomsen picture of $\mathcal{C}$-equivariant Kasparov theory, denoted $\mathrm{KK}^\mathcal{C}$, for a unitary tensor category $\mathcal{C}$ with countably many isomorphism classes of simple objects. We use this description of $\mathrm{KK}^\mathcal{C}$ to prove the stable uniqueness theorem in this setting.

Abstract:It is shown that, the quasi-Koszulities of algebras and modules are Morita invariance. A finite-dimensional $K$-algebra $A$ with an action of $G$ is quasi-Koszul if and only if so is the skew group algebra $A \ast G$, where $G$ is a finite group satisfying $\char K \nmid |G|$. A finite-dimensional $G$-graded $K$-algebra $A$ is quasi-Koszul if and only if so is the smash product $A # G^*$, where $G$ is a finite group satisfying $\char K \nmid |G|$. These results are applied to prove that, if a finite-dimensional connected quiver algebra is Koszul then so are its Galois covering algebras with finite Galois group $G$ satisfying $\char K \nmid |G|$. So one can construct Koszul algebras by finite Galois covering. Moreover, a general construction of Koszul algebras by Galois covering with finite cyclic Galois group is provided. As examples, many Koszul algebras are constructed from exterior algebras and Koszul preprojective algebras by finite Galois covering with either cyclic or noncyclic Galois group.

Pursuing Coxeter theory for Kac-Moody affine Hecke algebras

Abstract:The Kac-Moody affine Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}$ was first constructed as the Iwahori-Hecke algebra of a $p$-adic Kac-Moody group by work of Braverman, Kazhdan, and Patnaik, and by work of Bardy-Panse, Gaussent, and Rousseau. Since $\mathcal{H}$ has a Bernstein presentation, for affine types it is a positive-level variation of Cherednik's double affine Hecke algebra. Moreover, as $\mathcal{H}$ is realized as a convolution algebra, it has an additional "$T$-basis" corresponding to indicator functions of double cosets. For classical affine Hecke algebras, this $T$-basis reflects the Coxeter group structure of the affine Weyl group. In the Kac-Moody affine context, the indexing set $W_{\mathcal{T}}$ for the $T$-basis is no longer a Coxeter group. Nonetheless, $W_{\mathcal{T}}$ carries some Coxeter-like structures: a Bruhat order, a length function, and a notion of inversion sets. This paper contains the first steps toward a Coxeter theory for Kac-Moody affine Hecke algebras. We prove three results. The first is a construction of the length function via a representation of $\mathcal{H}$. The second concerns the support of products in classical affine Hecke algebras. The third is a characterization of length deficits in the Kac-Moody affine setting via inversion sets. Using this characterization, we phrase our support theorem as a precise conjecture for Kac-Moody affine Hecke algebras. Lastly, we give a conjectural definition of a Kac-Moody affine Demazure product via the $q=0$ specialization of $\mathcal{H}$.

Abstract:We categorify the highest weight integrable representations and their tensor products of a symmetric quantum Kac-Moody algebra. As byproducts, we obtain a geometric realization of Lusztig's canonical bases of these representations as well as a new positivity result. The main ingredient in the underlying geometric construction is a class of micro-local perverse sheaves on quiver varieties.

Abstract:We introduce a version of Koszul duality for categories, which extends the Koszul duality of operads and right modules. We demonstrate that the derivatives which appear in Weiss calculus (with values in spectra) form a right module over the Koszul dual of the category of vector spaces and orthogonal surjections, resolving conjectures of Arone--Ching and Espic. Using categorical Fourier transforms, we then classify Weiss towers. In particular, we describe the $n$-th polynomial approximation as a pullback of the $(n-1)$-st polynomial approximation along a ``generalized norm map''.

Abstract:In this paper, we study 2-representations of 2-quantum groups (in the sense of Rouquier and Khovanov-Lauda) categorifying tensor products of irreducible representations. Our aim is to construct knot homologies categorifying Reshetikhin-Turaev invariants of knots for arbitrary representations, which will be done in a follow-up paper. We consider an algebraic construction of these categories, via an explicit diagrammatic presentation, generalizing the cyclotomic quotient of the quiver Hecke algebra. One of our primary results is that these categories coincide when both are defined. We also investigate finer structure of these categories. Like many similar representation-theoretic categories, they are standardly stratified and satisfy a double centralizer property with respect to their self-dual modules. The standard modules of the stratification play an important role, as Vermas do in more classical representation theory, as test objects for functors. The existence of these representations has consequences for the structure of previously studied categorifications; it allows us to prove the non-degeneracy of Khovanov and Lauda's 2-category (that its Hom spaces have the expected dimension) in all symmetrizable types, and that the cyclotomic quiver Hecke algebras are symmetric Frobenius.
