Abstract:Let $p>3$ be a prime number and $K$ be an imaginary quadratic field where $p$ splits. Let $K_\infty$ be the $\mathbf{Z}_p^2$-extension of $K$ and let $K_n$ be a finite subextension of $K_\infty/K$. Let $E$ be an elliptic curve with good ordinary reduction at $p$. Under some hypotheses, we show that the Mazur-Tate element attached to $E$ over $K_n$ by S. Haran generates the Fitting ideal of the dual Selmer group of $E$ over $K_n$.

Abstract:Dynamics of zeroth order quantum coherences and preparation of the pseudopure states in homonuclear systems of dipolar coupling spins is closely examined. It has been shown an extreme important role of the non-diagonal part of zeroth order coherence in construction of the pseudopure state. Simulations of the preparation process of pseudopure states with the real molecular structures (a rectangular (-chloro- -nitrobenzene molecule), a chain (hydroxyapatite molecule), a ring (benzene molecule), and a double ring (cyclopentane molecule)) open the way to experimental testing of the obtained results.

Abstract:We apply the methods of Fukaya, Kato and Sharifi to refine Mazur's study of the Eisenstein ideal. Given prime numbers $N$ and $p\geq 5$ such that $p\mid \varphi(N)$, we study the quotient of the cohomology group of modular curve $X_{0}(N)$ by the square of the Eisenstein ideal. We study two invariants $b,c$ attached to this quotient and compute $c$. We propose a conjecture about the invariant $b$ which relates the structure of the ray class group of conductor $N$ to the modular symbols of $X_{0}(N)$. Assuming this conjecture, We compute the invariant $b$.

Abstract:Let $E/\mathbb{Q}$ be an elliptic curve, let $p>2$ be a prime of good reduction for $E$, and assume that $E$ admits a rational $p$-isogeny with kernel $\mathbb{F}_p(\phi)$. In this paper we prove the cyclotomic Iwasawa main conjecture for $E$, as formulated by Mazur in 1972, when $\phi\vert_{G_p}\neq 1,\omega$, where $G_p$ is a decomposition group at $p$ and $\omega$ is the Teichmüller character. Our proof is based on a study of the anticyclotomic Iwasawa theory of $E$ over an imaginary quadratic field $K$ in which $p$ splits, and a congruence argument exploiting the cyclotomic Euler system of Beilinson--Flach classes.

Abstract:Mazur and Tate proposed a conjecture which compares the Mordell-Weil rank of an elliptic curve over $\mathbb{Q}$ with the order of vanishing of Mazur-Tate elements, which are analogues of Stickelberger elements. Under some relatively mild assumptions, we prove this conjecture. Our strategy of the proof is to study divisibility of certain derivatives of Kato's Euler system.

Abstract:Let $E$ be an elliptic curve defined over $\mathbb{Q}$, and let $K$ be an imaginary quadratic field. Consider an odd prime $p$ at which $E$ has good supersingular reduction with $a_p(E)=0$ and which is inert in $K$. Under the assumption that the signed Selmer groups are cotorsion modules over the corresponding Iwasawa algebra, we prove that the Mordell-Weil ranks of $E$ are bounded over any subextensions of the anticyclotomic $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension of $K$. Additionally, we provide an asymptotic formula for the growth of the $p$-parts of the Tate-Shafarevich groups of $E$ over these extensions.

Abstract:Generalizing the work of Kobayashi and the second author for elliptic curves with supersingular reduction at the prime $p$, Büyükboduk and Lei constructed multi-signed Selmer groups over the cyclotomic $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension of a number field $F$ for more general non-ordinary motives. In particular, their construction applies to abelian varieties over $F$ with good supersingular reduction at all the primes of $F$ above $p$. In this article, we scrutinize the case in which $F$ is imaginary quadratic, and prove a control theorem (that generalizes Kim's control theorem for elliptic curves) of multi-signed Selmer groups of non-ordinary motives over the maximal abelian pro-$p$ extension of $F$ that is unramified outside $p$, which is the $\mathbb{Z}_p^2$-extension of $F$. We apply it to derive a sufficient condition when these multi-signed Selmer groups are cotorsion over the corresponding two-variable Iwasawa algebra. Furthermore, we compare the Iwasawa $\mu$-invariants of multi-signed Selmer groups over the $\mathbb{Z}_p^2$-extension for two such representations which are congruent modulo $p$.

Abstract:Let $p\ge 5$ be a prime number, $E/\mathbb{Q}$ an elliptic curve with good supersingular reduction at $p$, and $K$ an imaginary quadratic field such that the root number of $E$ over $K$ is $-1$. When $p$ is split in $K$, Castella and Wan formulated the plus and minus Heegner point main conjecture for $E$ along the anticyclotomic $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension of $K$, and proved it for semistable curves. We generalize their results to two settings: 1. Under the assumption that $p$ is split in $K$ but without assuming $a_p(E)=0$, we study Sprung-type main conjectures for $\mathrm{GL}_2$-type abelian varieties at non-ordinary primes and prove it under some conditions. 2. We formulate, relying on the recent work of the first-named author with Kobayashi and Ota, plus and minus Heegner point main conjectures for elliptic curves when $p$ is inert in $K$, and prove the minus main conjecture for semistable elliptic curves. These results yield a $p$-converse to the Gross--Zagier and Kolyvagin theorem for $E$. Our method relies on Howard's framework of bipartite Euler system, Zhang's resolution of Kolyvagin's conjecture and the recent proof of Kobayashi's main conjecture.

We prove a one sided divisibility result toward the Iwasawa main conjecture. The proof relies on the first and second reciprocity law relating theta elements to Heegner points Euler system. Abstract:Let $p$ be an odd prime number and let $K$ be an imaginary quadratic field in which $p$ is split. Let $f$ be a modular form with good reduction at $p$. We study the variation of the Bloch--Kato Selmer groups and the Bloch--Kato--Shafarevich--Tate groups of $f$ over the anticyclotomic $\mathbf{Z}_p$-extension $K_\infty$ of $K$. In particular, we show that under the generalized Heegner hypothesis, if the $p$-localization of the generalized Heegner cycle attached to $f$ is primitive and certain local conditions hold, then the Pontryagin dual of the Selmer group of $f$ over $K_\infty$ is free over the Iwasawa algebra. Consequently, the Bloch--Kato--Shafarevich--Tate groups of $f$ vanish. This generalizes earlier works of Matar and Matar--Nekovář on elliptic curves. Furthermore, our proof applies uniformly to the ordinary and non-ordinary settings.

Abstract:Let $E/F$ be an elliptic curve defined over a number field $F$ with complex multiplication by the ring of integers of an imaginary quadratic field $K$ such that the torsion points of $E$ generate over $F$ an abelian extension of $K$. In this paper we prove the $p$-part of the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer formula for $E/F$ in analytic rank $1$ for primes $p>3$ split in $K$. This was previously known for $F=\mathbb{Q}$ by work of Rubin as a consequence of his proof of the Mazur--Swinnerton-Dyer ``main conjecture'' for rational CM elliptic curves, but the problem remained wide open for general $F$. The approach in this paper, based on a novel application of an idea of Bertolini--Darmon--Prasanna to consider a carefully chosen decomposable Rankin--Selberg convolution of two CM modular forms having the Hecke $L$-function of interest as one of the factors, circumvents the use of $p$-adic heights and Bertrand's $p$-adic transcendence results in previous approaches. It also yields a proof of similar results for CM abelian varieties $A/K$, and for CM modular forms of higher weight.

Abstract:- This paper proves the Coleman conjecture for superelliptic curves: there are, up to isomorphism, at most finitely many superelliptic curves whose Jacobians are CM abelian varieties, as long as these curves are of genus at least 8. Here superelliptic curves are smooth projective curves over C admitting affine equations of the form y(n) = zeta (x) with a separable polynomial. The proof is reduced to the geometry of superelliptic Torelli locus TSg in the Siegel modular variety A(g) : we establish the generic exclusion from TSg of any special subvariety of dimension > 0 in A g for g >= 8, and the stability properties of Higgs bundles associated to surface fibrations play a crucial role in our study.

Abstract:We prove, under suitable assumptions, that $p$-torsion Tate-Shafarevich classes for elliptic curves over the rationals are visible in quotients of Jacobians of modular curves, as predicted by a conjecture of Jetchev-Stein. The key ingredient is the non-triviality of the Bertolini-Darmon bipartite Kolyvagin system, which implies that suitable cohomology classes of the system form a basis of the Selmer group modulo $p$.

Abstract:We give refined methods for proving finiteness of the Chabauty--Coleman--Kim set $X(\mathbb{Q}_2 )_2 $, when $X$ is a hyperelliptic curve with a rational Weierstrass point. The main developments are methods for computing Selmer conditions at $2$ and $\infty$ for the mod 2 Bloch--Kato Selmer group associated to the higher Chow group $\mathrm{CH}^2 (\mathrm{Jac}(X),1)$. As a result we show that most genus 2 curves in the LMFDB of Mordell--Weil rank 2 with exactly one rational Weierstrass point satsify $\# X(\mathbb{Q}_2 )_2 <\infty $. We also obtain a field-theoretic description of second descent on the Jacobian of a hyperelliptic curve (under some conditions).

Abstract:Let $F$ be a totally real field and $K$ a finite abelian CM extension of $F$. Using class field theory, we show that our previous result giving a strong form of the Brumer-Stark conjecture implies the minus part of the equivariant Tamagawa number conjecture for the Tate motive associated to $K/F$. We work integrally over $\mathbf{Z}$, in particular the prime 2 is not inverted. This note can be viewed as our perspective on the recent work of Bullach, Burns, Daoud, and Seo. Following their philosophy, we show that the functorial properties (i.e. norm compatibilities) connecting the strong Brumer-Stark conjecture for varying number fields actually implies the minus part of the equivariant Tamagawa number conjecture.

Abstract:Fix a prime number $p$. Let $\mathbb{F}_q$ be a finite field of characteristic coprime to 2, 3, and $p$, which also contains the primitive $p$-th root of unity $\mu_p$. Based on the works by Swinnerton-Dyer and Klagsbrun, Mazur, and Rubin, we prove that the probability distribution of the sizes of prime Selmer groups over a family of cyclic prime twists of non-isotrivial elliptic curves over $\mathbb{F}_q(t)$ satisfying a number of mild constraints conforms to the distribution conjectured by Bhargava, Kane, Lenstra, Poonen, and Rains with explicit error bounds. The key tools used in proving these results are the Riemann hypothesis over global function fields, the Erdös-Kac theorem, and the geometric ergodicity of Markov chains.
