Abstract:Let $\Bbb D$ be the open unit disk in the complex plane. In this note, for the Carleson set $S(b,h)$ and the Carleson window $W(b,h)$ which are particular subsets of $\Bbb D$, we find conditions on $h$ under which we have $W(b,h/c)\subset S(b,h)\subset W(b,ch)$ for some $c>1$.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate what are Carleson measures on open subsets in the complex plane. A circular domain is a connected open subset whose boundary consists of finitely many disjoint circles. We call a domain $G$ multi-nicely connected if there exists a circular domain $W$ and a conformal map $\psi$ from $W$ onto $G$ such that $\psi$ is almost univalent with respect the arclength on $\partial W$. We characterize all Carleson measures for those open subsets so that each of their components is multi-nicely connected and harmonic measures of the components are mutually singular. Our results suggest the extend of Carleson measures probably is up to this class of open subsets.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that all doubling measures on the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ are Carleson measures for the standard Dirichlet space $\mathcal{D}$. The proof has three ingredients. The first one is a characterization of Carleson measures which holds true for general reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. The second one is another new equivalent condition for Carleson measures, which holds true only for the standard Dirichlet space. The third one is an application of the dyadic method to our settings.

Abstract:We give a capacitary type characterization of Carleson measures for a class of Hardy-Sobolev spaces (also known as weighted Dirichlet spaces) on the Siegel upper half-space, introduced by Arcozzi et al. This answers in part a question raised by the same authors.

Abstract:Beurling-Carleson sets have appeared in a number of areas of complex analysis such as boundary zero sets of analytic functions, inner functions with derivative in the Nevanlinna class, cyclicity in weighted Bergman spaces, Fuchsian groups of Widom-type and the corona problem in quotient Banach algebras. After surveying these developments, we give a general definition of Beurling-Carleson sets and discuss some of their basic properties. We show that the Roberts decomposition characterizes measures that do not charge Beurling-Carleson sets. For a positive singular measure $\mu$ on the unit circle, let $S_\mu$ denote the singular inner function with singular measure $\mu$. In the second part of the paper, we use a corona-type decomposition to relate a number of properties of singular measures on the unit circle such as membership of $S'_\mu$ in the Nevanlinna class $\mathcal N$, area conditions on level sets of $S_\mu$ and wepability. It was known that each of these properties holds for measures concentrated on Beurling-Carleson sets. We show that each of these properties implies that $\mu$ lives on a countable union of Beurling-Carleson sets. We also describe partial relations involving the membership of $S'_\mu$ in the Hardy space $H^p$, membership of $S_\mu$ in the Besov space $B^p$ and $(1-p)$-Beurling-Carleson sets and give a number of examples which show that our results are optimal. Finally, we show that measures that live on countable unions of $\alpha$-Beurling-Carleson sets are almost in bijection with nearly-maximal solutions of $\Delta u = u^p \cdot \chi_{u > 0}$ when $p > 3$ and $\alpha = \frac{p-3}{p-1}$.

We prove several necessary conditions and sufficient conditions in order for a measure $\mu$ to be Carleson and reverse Carleson on mixed-normed weighted Bergman spaces.

Abstract:In this paper, we first present some sufficient conditions for the upper semicontinuity and/or the continuity of the Bregman farthest-point map $Q_C^g$ and the relative farthest-point map $S_C^g$ for a nonempty $D$-maximally approximately compact subset $C$ of a Banach space $X$. We next present certain sufficient conditions as well as equivalent conditions for a Klee set to be singleton in a Banach space $X$. Our results extend and/or improve the corresponding ones of [Bauschke, et al., J. Approx. Theory, 158 (2009), pp. 170-183] to infinite dimensional spaces.

Abstract:Let $H^p=H^p(B_d)$ denote the Hardy space in the open unit ball $B_d$ of $\mathbb{C}^d$, $d\ge 1$. We characterize the reverse Carleson measures for $H^p$, $1<p<\infty$, that is, we describe all finite positive Borel measures $\mu$, defined on the closed ball $\overline{B}_d$, such that \[ \|f \|_{H^p} \le c \|f\|_{L^p(\overline{B}_d,\mu)} \] for all $f\in H^p(B_d) \cap C(\overline{B}_d)$ and a universal constant $c>0$. Given a non-inner holomorphic function $b: B_d \to B_1$, we obtain properties of the reverse Carleson measures for the de Branges-Rovnyak space $\mathcal{H}(b)$.

The concept of almost Chebyshev sets with respect to bounded subsets is introduced. It is proved that each closed subset in a reflexive locally uniformly convex (uniformly convex, respectively) Banach space is an almost Chebyshev subset with respect to compact convex subsets (bounded convex subsets and bounded subsets, respectively).

Abstract:We study a characterization of slice Carleson measures and of Carleson measures for the both the Hardy spaces $H^p(\mathbb B)$ and the Bergman spaces $\mathcal A^p(\mathbb B)$ of the quaternionic unit ball $\mathbb B$. In the case of Bergman spaces, the characterization is done in terms of the axially symmetric completion of a pseudohyperbolic disc in a complex plane. We also show that a characterization in terms of pseudohyperbolic balls is not possible.

Cho, Sufficient conditions for Carathéodory functions, Comput. Math. Appl. 59 (2010), 2067–2073] considered several sufficient conditions for a family of Carathéodory functions. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate some (presumably new) sufficient conditions for the class of strongly Carathéodory functions in U. One illustrative example and several corollaries of the main results presented here are also considered.

Abstract:We prove a new generalization of a theorem of Carleson, namely bounds for a generalized Carleson operator on doubling metric measure spaces. Additionally, we explicitly reduce Carleson's classical result on pointwise convergence of Fourier series to this new theorem. Both proofs are presented in great detail, suitable as a blueprint for computer verification using the current capabilities of the software package Lean. Note that even Carleson's classical result has not yet been computer-verified.

Abstract:We study the Carleson measures associated to the Hardy and weighted Bergman spaces defined on general simply connected domains. This program was initiated by Zinsmeister in his paper \textit{Les domaines de Carleson }(1989), where he shows that the geometry of the domain plays a fundamental role. We will review the classical results presenting, in some cases, alternative proofs and will examine the situation for the weighted Bergman spaces.

Abstract:In this note, we obtain a full characterization of radial Carleson measures for the Hilbert-Hardy space on tube domains over symmetric cones. For large derivatives, we also obtain a full characterization of the measures for which the corresponding embedding operator is continuous. Restricting to the case of light cones of dimension three, we prove that by freezing one or two variables, the problem of embedding derivatives of the Hilbert-Hardy space into Lebesgue spaces reduces to the characterization of Carleson measures for Hilbert-Bergman spaces of the upper-half plane or the product of two upper-half planes.

Abstract:We characterize the Carleson measures for the Drury-Arveson Hardy space and other Hilbert spaces of analytic functions of several complex variables. This provides sharp estimates for Drury's generalization of Von Neumann's inequality. The characterization is in terms of a geometric condition, the "split tree condition", which reflects the nonisotropic geometry underlying the Drury-Arveson Hardy space.
