Abstract:Soft set theory serves as a mathematical framework for handling uncertain information, and hesitant fuzzy sets find extensive application in scenarios involving uncertainty and hesitation. Hesitant fuzzy sets exhibit diverse membership degrees, giving rise to various forms of inclusion relationships among them. This article introduces the notions of hesitant fuzzy soft $\beta$-coverings and hesitant fuzzy soft $\beta$-neighborhoods, which are formulated based on distinct forms of inclusion relationships among hesitancy fuzzy sets. Subsequently, several associated properties are investigated. Additionally, specific variations of hesitant fuzzy soft $\beta$-coverings are introduced by incorporating hesitant fuzzy rough sets, followed by an exploration of properties pertaining to hesitant fuzzy soft $\beta$-covering approximation spaces.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notion of p,q-fuzzy local function and DF-ideal topological space. Also, we introduce the concepts DFU-ð-continuous and DFL-ð-continuous, almost ð-continuous, weakly ð-continuous and almost weakly ð-continuous multifunctions. Several properties and characterizations of the introduced multifunctions and types of continuity are established. Some examples are given to explain the correct implications between these notions.

Abstract:This work aims to provide several versions of Dini's theorem for fuzzy number-valued continuous functions defined on a compact set K. In this context, there is a wide variety of possibilities since, unlike the real line, we can consider different topologies and orders on the set of fuzzy numbers. For example, we will show that the fuzzy Dini's theorem holds for the usual partial orders and the most commonly used topologies but does not hold for all orders in general.

Abstract:Typical hesitant fuzzy sets (THFSs), possessing a finite-set-valued fuzzy membership degrees called typical hesitant fuzzy elements (THFEs), is a special kind of hesitant fuzzy sets. Fuzzy inclusion relationship, as the order structure in fuzzy mathematics, plays an elementary role in the theoretical research and practical applications of fuzzy sets. In this paper, a new partial order for THFEs is defined via the disjunctive semantic meaning of a set, based on which fuzzy inclusion relationship is defined for THFSs. Furthermore, inclusion measures are defined to present the quantitative ranking of every two THFEs and THFSs and different inclusion measures are constructed. The related similarity measure, distance and fuzzy entropy of THFSs are presented and their relationship with inclusion measures are investigated. Finally, an example is given to show that the inclusion measure can be applied effectively in hesitant fuzzy multi-attribute decision making.

Abstract:The notion of convexity and its various generalization is important for quantitative and qualitative studies in operations research or applied mathematics. It has also been considered by many authors in fuzzy set theory. In this paper, we study the concept of Φ-convex and Φ-quasiconvex fuzzy sets which was proposed byChen et al. [1], and develop some useful extrema properties of these fuzzy sets. We prove that any local maximizer of a Φ-convex fuzzy set is also a global maximizer, and that any strict local maximizer of a Φ-quasiconvex fuzzy set is also a global maximizer. We also study the class of strictly Φ-convex (respectively, strictly Φ-quasiconvex) fuzzy sets that is more restricted than the class of Φ-convex (respectively, Φ-quasiconvex) fuzzy sets. We prove for both families of strictly Φ-convex and strictly Φ-quasiconvex fuzzy sets that every local maximizer is also the unique global maximizer. In addition, some applications to fuzzy decision making are discussed.

Abstract:The inclusion relation and the order relation are two distinct ideas in interval analysis. Convexity and nonconvexity create a significant link with different sorts of inequalities under the inclusion relation. For many classes of convex and nonconvex functions, many works have been devoted to constructing and refining classical inequalities. However, it is generally known that log-convex functions play a significant role in convex theory since they allow us to deduce more precise inequalities than convex functions. Because the idea of log convexity is so important, we used fuzzy order relation $\left(\preceq \right)$ to establish various discrete Jensen and Schur, and Hermite-Hadamard (H-H) integral inequality for log convex fuzzy interval-valued functions (L-convex F-I-V-Fs). Some nontrivial instances are also offered to bolster our findings. Furthermore, we show that our conclusions include as special instances some of the well-known inequalities for L-convex F-I-V-Fs and their variant forms. Abstract:Maji et a l. (2001) introduced the concept of a fuzzy soft set, which is an extension to the concept of a soft set. The concepts of -fuzzy soft left -ideals (right -ideals, -interior-ideals) in -hemirings are introduced. Some new characterization theorems of these kinds of fuzzy soft -ideals of a -hemiring are also given. Finally, we show that -hemiregular and -semisimple -hemirings can be described by -fuzzy soft -ideals and -fuzzy soft -interior-ideals.

Abstract:The objective of the authors is to introduce the new class of convex fuzzy-interval-valued functions (convex-FIVFs), which is known as $ p $-convex fuzzy-interval-valued functions ($ p $-convex-FIVFs). Some of the basic properties of the proposed fuzzy-interval-valued functions are also studied. With the help of $ p $-convex FIVFs, we have presented some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities ($ H-H $ type inequalities), where the integrands are FIVFs. Moreover, we have also proved the Hermite-Hadamard-Fejér type inequality ($ H-H $ Fejér type inequality) for $ p $-convex-FIVFs. To prove the validity of main results, we have provided some useful examples. We have also established some discrete form of Jense's type inequality and Schur's type inequality for $ p $-convex-FIVFs. The outcomes of this paper are generalizations and refinements of different results which are proved in literature. These results and different approaches may open new direction for fuzzy optimization problems, modeling, and interval-valued functions.

Abstract:In this paper one presents new similarity, cardinality and entropy measures for bipolar fuzzy set and for its particular forms like intuitionistic, paraconsistent and fuzzy set. All these are constructed in the framework of multi-valued representations and are based on a penta-valued logic that uses the following logical values: true, false, unknown, contradictory and ambiguous. Also a new distance for bounded real interval was defined.

Abstract:In the present paper, we introduce and discuss a new set of separation properties in fuzzy soft topological spaces called $ FS\delta $-separation and $ FS\delta $-regularity axioms by using fuzzy soft $ \delta $-open sets and the quasi-coincident relation. We provide a comprehensive study of their properties with some supporting examples. Our analysis includes more characterizations, results, and theorems related to these notions, which contributes to a deeper understanding of fuzzy soft separability properties. We show that the $ FS\delta $-separation and $ FS\delta $-regularity axioms are harmonic and heredity property. Additionally, we examine the connections between $ FS{\delta }^* $-compactness and $ FS\delta $-separation axioms and explore the relationships between them. Overall, this work offers a new perspective on the theory of separation properties in fuzzy soft topological spaces, as well as provides a robust foundation for further research in the transmission of properties from fuzzy soft topologies to fuzzy and soft topologies and vice-versa by swapping between the membership function and characteristic function in the case of fuzzy topology and the set of parameters and a singleton set in the case of soft topology.

Abstract:In this paper, by applying the Lebesgue's measure on the symmetric difference of sets, we introduce the notions of the symmetric difference metric d△ and p-mean symmetric difference metric d△p in order to measure the difference between fuzzy numbers. The concept of the platform type of fuzzy number (p-fuzzy number) is introduced, and we show that d△ and d△p are zero if and only if two fuzzy numbers are equal or have the same p-fuzzy numbers. Further, the relations between d△ and the uniform Hausdorff metric DH (cf. Diamond and Kloeden, 1989), d△p and Dp (cf. Nola and Ventre, 1987) are discussed. For the non-p-fuzzy numbers, the equivalences of the metric convergences on d△ and DH, d△p and Dp are provided.

Fuzzy Optimization and Decision Making

Abstract:Abstract Convexity is a deeply studied concept since it is very useful in many fields of mathematics, like optimization. When we deal with imprecision, the convexity is required as well and some important applications can be found fuzzy optimization, in particular convexity of fuzzy sets. In this paper we have extended the notion of convexity for interval-valued fuzzy sets in order to be able to cover some wider area of imprecision. We show some of its interesting properties, and study the preservation under the intersection and the cutworthy property. Finally, we applied convexity to decision-making problems.
