Abstract:In this study, we investigate the dynamics of the Universe during the observed late-time acceleration phase within the framework of the Weyl-type $f(Q,T)$ theory. Specifically, we consider a well-motivated model with the functional form $f(Q,T)=\alpha Q+\frac{\beta }{6\kappa ^2}T$, where $Q$ represents the scalar of non-metricity and $T$ denotes the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. In this context, the non-metricity $Q_{\mu\alpha\beta}$ of the space-time is established by the vector field $w_\mu$. The parameters $\alpha$ and $\beta$ govern the gravitational field and its interaction with the matter content of the Universe. By considering the case of dust matter, we obtain exact solutions for the field equations and observe that the Hubble parameter $H(z)$ follows a power-law behavior with respect to redshift $z$. To constrain the model parameters, we analyze various datasets including the $Hubble$, $Pantheon$ datasets, and their combination. Our results indicate that the Weyl-type $f(Q,T)$ theory offers a viable alternative to explain the observed late-time acceleration of the Universe avoiding the use of dark energy.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to explain the late - time accelerated expansion of the universe through the Weyl - type f(Q,T) gravity theory without introducing dark energy. Specifically, the authors studied the dynamic behavior of the universe in the observed late - time accelerated expansion phase within the framework of Weyl - type f(Q,T) gravity. They considered a function f(Q,T) = αQ + β/6κ²T of a specific form, where Q represents the non - metricity scalar and T represents the trace of the energy - momentum tensor. By considering the case of dust matter, the authors obtained the exact solution of the field equations and found that the Hubble parameter H(z) exhibits a power - law behavior with respect to the redshift z. To constrain the model parameters, the authors analyzed multiple data sets including the Hubble data set, the Pantheon data set, and their combinations. The research results show that the Weyl - type f(Q,T) gravity theory provides a viable alternative to explain the late - time accelerated expansion of the universe without the need for dark energy. ### Main problems solved by the paper 1. **Explaining the late - time accelerated expansion of the universe**: By introducing the Weyl - type f(Q,T) gravity theory, explore whether it is possible to explain the late - time accelerated expansion of the universe without relying on dark energy. 2. **Constraining model parameters**: Use observational data (such as the Hubble data set and the Pantheon data set) to constrain the parameters (α, β, M) in the model to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the model. 3. **Studying dynamic behavior**: Study the dynamic behavior of the universe in the late - time accelerated expansion phase within the framework of Weyl - type f(Q,T) gravity, especially the behavior of the Hubble parameter H(z). ### Research methods - **Theoretical model**: Proposed a Weyl - type f(Q,T) gravity model with a function f(Q,T) = αQ + β/6κ²T of a specific form. - **Exact solution**: Obtained the exact solution of the field equations by considering the case of dust matter. - **Data fitting**: Use the Hubble data set and the Pantheon data set to constrain the model parameters and compare the consistency between the model predictions and the observational data. ### Main conclusions - **Model feasibility**: The Weyl - type f(Q,T) gravity theory provides a viable alternative to explain the late - time accelerated expansion of the universe without relying on dark energy. - **Parameter constraints**: Through the analysis of observational data, a reasonable range of model parameters (α, β, M) was obtained, verifying the accuracy of the model. - **Dynamic behavior**: The research results show that within the framework of Weyl - type f(Q,T) gravity, the Hubble parameter H(z) exhibits a power - law behavior with respect to the redshift z, which is consistent with the observational data. ### Key formulas - Definition of the non - metricity scalar \( Q \): \[ Q \equiv -g_{\alpha\beta} \left( L^\mu{}_{\nu\beta} L^\nu{}_{\beta\mu} - L^\mu{}_{\nu\mu} L^\nu{}_{\alpha\beta} \right) \] - Power - law behavior of the Hubble parameter \( H(z) \): \[ H(z) = H_0 (1 + z)^\chi \] - Expression of the deceleration parameter \( q(z) \): \[ q(z) = -1+\frac{(1 + z)}{H(z)}\frac{dH(z)}{dz} \] Through these studies, the authors provide new perspectives and theoretical support for understanding the late - time accelerated expansion of the universe.
