Abstract:Building upon previous $2D$ studies, this research focuses on describing $3D$ tensor renormalisation group (RG) flows for lattice spin systems, such as the Ising model. We present a novel RG map, which operates on tensors with infinite-dimensional legs and does not involve truncations, in contrast to numerical tensor RG maps. To construct this map, we developed new techniques for analysing tensor networks. Our analysis shows that the constructed RG map contracts the region around the tensor $A_*$, corresponding to the high-temperature phase of the $3D$ Ising model. This leads to the iterated RG map convergence in the Hilbert-Schmidt norm to $A_*$ when initialised in the vicinity of $A_*$. This work provides the first steps towards the rigorous understanding of tensor RG maps in $3D$.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The paper primarily focuses on the study of three-dimensional (3D) Tensor Renormalization Group (TRG) in the high-temperature phase. Specifically, the goals of the paper can be summarized as follows: 1. **Develop a new TRG mapping**: The authors propose a novel TRG mapping method that can handle tensors with infinite-dimensional legs and does not involve truncation steps in numerical TRG mappings. 2. **Construct techniques for TRG mapping**: To construct this new TRG mapping, the authors developed new techniques for analyzing tensor networks. 3. **Prove the convergence of TRG mapping**: The authors demonstrate that the constructed TRG mapping can make the tensors in the tensor network closer to the fixed-point tensor \(A^*\) corresponding to the high-temperature phase of the 3D Ising model. Specifically, under the Hilbert-Schmidt norm, when the initial state is near \(A^*\), the iterative TRG mapping will converge to \(A^*\). 4. **Understanding 3D TRG**: This work provides a preliminary theoretical foundation for understanding 3D Tensor Renormalization Group mappings. In short, the paper aims to address the high-temperature phase problem in 3D Tensor Renormalization Group theory by proposing a new TRG mapping method and proving its effectiveness and convergence. This provides important mathematical tools and technical foundations for a deeper understanding and application of 3D TRG.
