Abstract:We study cohomology of morphisms of Lie-Yamaguti algebras. As an application, we establish that this cohomology `controls' the formal deformations. Additionally, we demonstrate its connection to the abelian extension of morphisms of Lie-Yamaguti algebras.

Abstract:Infinitesimal deformation theory of Lie-Yamaguti algebras was introduced by Tao Zhang and Juan Li . We extend their theory to develop formal one-parameter deformation theory of Lie-Yamaguti algebras. It turns out that the right deformation cohomology which controls deformations in this context, is a variant of Lie-Yamaguti algebra cohomology which we introduce in this paper. At the end, we introduce the free object in the category of Lie-Yamaguti algebras and prove that it is rigid.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notion of crossed homomorphisms between Lie-Yamaguti algebras and establish the cohomology theory of crossed homomorphisms via the Yamaguti cohomology. Consequently, we use this cohomology to characterize linear deformations of crossed homomorphisms between Lie-Yamaguti algebras. We show that if two linear or formal deformations of a crossed homomorphism are equivalent, then their infinitesimals are in the same cohomology class in the first cohomology group. Moreover, we show that an order $n$ deformation of a crossed homomorphism can be extended to an order $n+1$ deformation if and only if the obstruction class in the second cohomology group is trivial.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish the cohomology of relative Rota–Baxter operators on Lie-Yamaguti algebras via the Yamaguti cohomology. Then, we use this type of cohomology to characterize deformations of relative Rota–Baxter operators on Lie-Yamaguti algebras. Abstract:In this paper, we consider deformations of Lie 2-algebras via the cohomology theory. We prove that a 1-parameter infinitesimal deformation of a Lie 2-algebra g corresponds to a 2-cocycle of g with the coefficients in the adjoint representation. A Nijenhuis operator on a Lie 2-algebra is introduced to describe trivial deformations. We also study abelian extensions of Lie 2-algebras from the viewpoint of deformations of semidirect product Lie 2-algebras. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract:Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Ahead of Print. In this paper, we construct a differential graded Lie algebra whose Maurer–Cartan elements are given by crossed homomorphisms on Leibniz algebras. This allows us to define cohomology for a crossed homomorphism. Finally, we study linear deformations, formal deformations and extendibility of finite order deformations of a crossed homomorphism in terms of the cohomology theory.

Abstract:This paper studies the formal deformations of differential algebra morphisms. As a consequence, we develop a cohomology theory of differential algebra morphisms to interpret the lower degree cohomology groups as formal deformations. Then, we prove the Cohomology Comparison Theorem of differential algebra morphisms, i.e., the cohomology of a morphism of differential algebras is isomorphic to the cohomology of an auxiliary differential algebra. Finally, we can give a minimal model for morphism of differential algebras with weight=0.

Abstract:In this paper we study cohomology and deformations of Jacobi-Jordan algebras. We develop their formal deformation theory. In particular, we introduce a method to construct a versal deformation for a given Jacobi-Jordan algebra, which can induce all deformations and is unique on the infinitesimal level. We construct formal 1-parameter deformations of Jacobi-Jordan algebras up to dimension 5 and versal deformations for 3-dimensional Jacobi-Jordan algebras.

Deformation maps of quasi-twilled Lie algebras

Abstract:In this paper, we provide a unified approach to study the cohomology theories and deformation theories of various types of operators in the category of Lie algebras, including modified $r$-matrices, crossed homomorphisms, derivations, homomorphisms, relative Rota-Baxter operators, twisted Rota-Baxter operators, Reynolds operators and deformation maps of matched pairs of Lie algebras. The main ingredients are quasi-twilled Lie algebras. We introduce two types of deformation maps of a quasi-twilled Lie algebra. Deformation maps of type I unify modified $r$-matrices, crossed homomorphisms, derivations and homomorphisms between Lie algebras, while deformation maps of type II unify relative Rota-Baxter operators, twisted Rota-Baxter operators, Reynolds operators and deformation maps of matched pairs of Lie algebras. We further give the controlling algebras and cohomologies of these two types of deformation maps, which not only recover the existing results for crossed homomorphisms, derivations, homomorphisms, relative Rota-Baxter operators, twisted Rota-Baxter operators and Reynolds operators, but also leads to some new results which are unable to solve before, e.g. the controlling algebras and cohomologies of modified $r$-matrices and deformation maps of matched pairs of Lie algebras.

Abstract:In this article, we give Maurer-Cartan characterizations of equivariant Lie superalgebra structures. We introduce equivariant cohomology and equivariant formal deformation theory of Lie superalgebras. As an application of equivariant cohomology we study the equivariant formal deformation theory of Lie superalgebras. As another application we characterize equivariant central extensions of Lie superalgebras using second equivariant cohomology. We give some examples of Lie superalgebras with an action of a group and equivariant formal deformations of a classical Lie superalgebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider compatible Hom-associative algebras as a twisted version of compatible associative algebras. Compatible Hom-associative algebras are characterized as Maurer-Cartan elements in a suitable bidifferential graded Lie algebra. We also define a cohomology theory for compatible Hom-associative algebras generalizing the classical case. As applications of cohomology, we study abelian extensions and deformations of compatible Hom-associative algebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we first construct a differential graded Lie algebra that controls deformations of a Lie-Yamaguti algebra. Furthermore, a relative Rota-Baxter operator on a Lie-Yamaguti algebra is characterized as a Maurer-Cartan element in an appropriate $L_\infty$-algebra that we build through the graded Lie bracket of Lie-Yamaguti algebra's controlling algebra, and gives rise to a twisted $L_\infty$-algebra that controls its deformation. Next we establish the cohomology theory of relative Rota-Baxter operators on Lie-Yamaguti algebras via the Yamaguti cohomology. Then we clarify the relationship between the twisted $L_\infty$-algebra and the cohomology theory. Finally as byproducts, we classify certain deformations on Lie-Yamaguti algebras using the cohomology theory.

CoHA of Cyclic Quivers and an Integral Form of Affine Yangians

Abstract:We calculate the deformed and non-deformed cohomological Hall algebra (CoHA) of the preprojective algebra for the case of cyclic quivers by studying the Kontsevich-Soibelman CoHA and using tools from cohomological Donaldson-Thomas theory. We show that for the cyclic quiver of length $K$, this algebra is the universal enveloping algebra of the positive half of a certain extension of matrix differential operators on $\mathbb{C}^{*}$, while its deformation gives a positive half of an explicit integral form of Guay's Affine Yangian $\ddot{\mathcal{Y}}_{\hbar_1,\hbar_2}(\mathfrak{gl}(K))$. By the main theorem of Botta-Davison (2023) and Schiffmann-Vasserot (2023), this also determines the positive half of the Maulik-Okounkov Yangian for the case of cyclic quivers. Furthermore, we provide evidence for the strong rationality conjecture, calculate the spherical subalgebra of the non-deformed CoHA for any quiver without loops, recover results about the CoHA of compactly supported semistable sheaves on the minimal resolution of the Kleinian singularity $\mathbb{C}^2/\mathbb{Z}_{K}$ and identify a commutative algebra inside the additive shuffle algebra associated to the cyclic quiver. We end by conjecturally relating the obtained integral form with the algebra defined by Gaiotto-Rapčák-Zhou, in the context of twisted M-theory.

Deformation maps in proto-twilled Leibniz algebras

Abstract:This paper aims to find a unified approach to studying the cohomology theories of various operators on Leibniz algebras. We first introduce deformation maps in a proto-twilled Leibniz algebra to do this. Such maps generalize various well-known operators (such as homomorphisms, derivations, crossed homomorphisms, Rota-Baxter operators, modified Rota-Baxter operators, twisted Rota-Baxter operators, Reynolds operators etc) defined on Leibniz algebras and embedding tensors on Lie algebras. We define the cohomology of a deformation map unifying the existing cohomologies of all the operators mentioned above. Then we construct a curved $L_\infty$-algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements are precisely deformation maps in a given proto-twilled Leibniz algebra. In particular, we get the Maurer-Cartan characterizations of modified Rota-Baxter operators, twisted Rota-Baxter operators and Reynolds operators on a Leibniz algebra. Finally, given a proto-twilled Leibniz algebra and a deformation map $r$, we construct two governing $L_\infty$-algebras, the first one controls the deformations of the operator $r$ while the second one controls the simultaneous deformations of both the proto-twilled Leibniz algebra and the operator $r$.
