Abstract:Solutions pertaining to a Kerr black hole with a flat horizon undergoing gradual rotation are explored in the context of gravitational theories modified by dynamical Chern-Simons terms with cylindrical metrics, which approach asymptotically the anti de Sitter spacetime. It is shown that the cross-term of a metric component is unaffected by the perturbations of the Chern-Simons scalar independently of whether the dynamical Chern-Simons field equation is uncharged or charged with an electric field. From this result, it is ensured that the Chern-Simons scalar field can affect the spaces of the metric that approach asymptotically the flat spacetime only.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
This paper aims to explore the problem of a slowly - rotating Kerr black hole solution with a flat horizon in the dynamical Chern - Simons - modified gravity theory. Specifically, the researchers explored how to solve a Kerr black hole solution in an asymptotically anti - de Sitter space within the framework of the modified gravity theory that includes the dynamical Chern - Simons term. The main goal of the study was to analyze the influence of the dynamical Chern - Simons scalar field on the black hole solution, especially on the asymptotic behavior of the black hole solution. ### Research Background - **Modified Gravity Theory**: The modified gravity theory is proposed to explain some cosmological and astrophysical problems that cannot be fully explained by general relativity, such as the late - time accelerated expansion of the universe and the internal structure of black holes. - **Kerr Black Hole**: The Kerr black hole is a rotating black hole, and its solution has been widely studied in different gravity theories. - **Dynamical Chern - Simons Modification**: The dynamical Chern - Simons modification is a gravity theory that introduces an additional scalar field and can be used to describe certain properties of black holes and quantum gravity. ### Main Findings 1. **Uncharged Case**: - The influence of the dynamical Chern - Simons scalar field on the scalar field equation is different from the results in the literature, but when these scalar fields are substituted into the Einstein field equations, no additional terms are introduced into the metric. - The asymptotic form of the slow - Kerr black hole solution under the dynamical Chern - Simons modification is similar to the unmodified case. 2. **Charged Case**: - In the charged case, the dynamical Chern - Simons scalar field also affects the scalar field equation, but no additional terms are introduced into the metric either. - The cross - term in the asymptotic form is not affected by the dynamical Chern - Simons scalar field. ### Conclusion The research results show that in the dynamical Chern - Simons - modified gravity theory, whether in the uncharged or charged case, the rotation term in the asymptotically anti - de Sitter space is not affected by the dynamical Chern - Simons scalar field. This is different from the behavior of the slowly - rotating Kerr solution in the asymptotically flat space. ### Formula Display - **Lagrangian Density of Chern - Simons - Modified**: \[ L = L_1 + L_2 + L_3 + L_4 \] where: \[ L_1 = \kappa \int_V d^4x \sqrt{-g} (R - 2\Lambda) \] \[ L_2 = -\frac{\alpha_1}{2} \int_V d^4x \sqrt{-g} \left[ g^{\alpha\beta} (\nabla_\alpha \vartheta)(\nabla_\beta \vartheta) + 2V(\vartheta) \right] \] \[ L_3 = \frac{\alpha}{4} \int_V d^4x \sqrt{-g} \vartheta \ast R R \] \[ L_4 = \int_V d^4x \sqrt{-g} L_{\text{mat}} \] - **Evolution Equation of Chern - Simons Scalar Field**: \[ \alpha_1 \Box \vartheta = \alpha_1 \frac{dV}{d\vartheta} - \frac{\alpha}{4} \ast R R \] - **Metric Decomposition**: \[ g_{ab} = g^{(0)}_{ab} + \xi g^{(1)}_{ab}(\vartheta) + \xi^2 g^{(2)}_{ab}(\vartheta) \] Through these studies, the authors demonstrated the dynamical Chern - Simons.
