Abstract:We show that maximal analytic Hardy fields are $\eta_1$ in the sense of Hausdorff. We also prove various embedding theorems about analytic Hardy fields. For example, the ordered differential field $\mathbb T$ of transseries is shown to be isomorphic to an analytic Hardy field.

Abstract:In 2011, Dekel et al. developed highly geometric Hardy spaces $H^p(\Theta)$, for the full range $0<p\leq 1$, which are constructed by continuous multi-level ellipsoid covers $\Theta$ of $\mathbb{R}^n$ with high anisotropy in the sense that the ellipsoids can change shape rapidly from point to point and from level to level. In this article, if the cover $\Theta$ is pointwise continuous, then the authors further obtain some real-variable characterizations of $H^p(\Theta)$ in terms of the radial, the non-tangential and the tangential maximal functions, which generalize the known results on the anisotropic Hardy spaces of Bownik.

Almost real closed fields with real analytic structure

Abstract:Cluckers and Lipshitz have shown that real closed fields equipped with real analytic structure are o-minimal. This generalizes the well-known subanalytic structure $\mathbb{R}_{\mathrm{an}}$ on the real numbers. We extend this line of research by investigating ordered fields with real analytic structure that are not necessarily real closed. When considered in a language with a symbol for a convex valuation ring, these structures turn out to be tame as valued fields: we prove that they are $\omega$-h-minimal. Additionally, our approach gives a precise description of the induced structure on the residue field and the value group, and naturally leads to an Ax--Kochen--Ersov-theorem for fields with real analytic structure.

Abstract:We set a framework for the study of Hardy spaces inherited by complements of analytic hypersurfaces in domains with a prior Hardy space structure. The inherited structure is a filtration, various aspects of which are studied in specific settings. For punctured planar domains, we prove a generalization of a famous rigidity lemma of Kerzman and Stein. A stabilization phenomenon is observed for egg domains. Finally, using proper holomorphic maps, we derive a filtration of Hardy spaces for certain power-generalized Hartogs triangles, although these domains fall outside the scope of the original framework.

Abstract:We show that every Hardy field extends to an $\omega$-free Hardy field. This result relates to classical oscillation criteria for second-order homogeneous linear differential equations. It is essential in [12], and here we apply it to answer questions of Boshernitzan, and to generalize a theorem of his.

Abstract:Pre-$H$-fields are ordered valued differential fields satisfying some basic axioms coming from transseries and Hardy fields. We study pre-$H$-fields that are differential-Hensel-Liouville closed, that is, differential-henselian, real closed, and closed under exponential integration, establishing an Ax--Kochen/Ershov theorem for such structures: the theory of a differential-Hensel-Liouville closed pre-$H$-field is determined by the theory of its ordered differential residue field; this result fails if the assumption of closure under exponential integration is dropped. In a two-sorted setting with one sort for a differential-Hensel-Liouville closed pre-$H$-field and one sort for its ordered differential residue field, we eliminate quantifiers from the pre-$H$-field sort, from which we deduce that the ordered differential residue field is stably embedded and if it has NIP, then so does the two-sorted structure. Similarly, the one-sorted theory of differential-Hensel-Liouville closed pre-$H$-fields with closed ordered differential residue field has quantifier elimination, is the model completion of the theory of pre-$H$-fields with gap~$0$, and is complete, distal, and locally o-minimal.

Abstract:We present a uniform framework for establishing Nullstellensätze for power series rings using quantifier elimination results for valued fields. As an application we obtain Nullstellensätze for $p$-adic power series (both formal and convergent) analogous to Rückert's complex and Risler's real Nullstellensatz, as well as a $p$-adic analytic version of Hilbert's 17th Problem. Analogous statements for restricted power series, both real and $p$-adic, are also considered.

Differentially Henselian Fields

Abstract:We study the class of differentially henselian fields, which are henselian valued fields equipped with generic derivations in the sense of Cubides Kovacics and Point, and are special cases of differentially large fields in the sense of León Sánchez and Tressl. We prove that many results from henselian valued fields as well as differentially large fields can be lifted to the differentially henselian setting, for instance Ax-Kochen/Ershov principles, characterisations in terms of differential algebras, etc. We also give methods to concretely construct such fields in terms of iterated power series expansions and inductive constructions on transcendence bases.

Subfields of algebraically maximal Kaplansky fields

Abstract:Using the ramification theory of tame and Kaplansky fields, we show that maximal Kaplansky fields contain maximal immediate extensions of each of their subfields. Likewise, algebraically maximal Kaplansky fields contain maximal immediate algebraic extensions of each of their subfields. This study is inspired by problems that appear in henselian valued fields of rank higher than 1 when a Hensel root of a polynomial is approximated by the elements generated by a (transfinite) Newton algorithm.

Abstract:We define the universal exponential extension of an algebraically closed differential field and investigate its properties in the presence of a nice valuation and in connection with linear differential equations. Next we prove normalization theorems for algebraic differential equations over $H$-fields, as a tool in solving such equations in suitable extensions. The results in this monograph are essential in our work on Hardy fields in [6].

Abstract:This note expands on the recent proof \cite{ABKT} that the extremal domains for analytic content in two dimensions can only be disks and annuli. This result's unexpected implication for theoretical physics is that, for extremal domains, the analytic content is a measure of non-commutativity of the (multiplicative) adjoint operators $T, T^†$, where $T^† = \bar z$, and therefore of the quantum deformation parameter (``Planck's constant"). The annular solution (which includes the disk as a special case) is, in fact, a continuous family of solutions, corresponding to all possible positive values of the deformation parameter, consistent with the physical requirement that conformal invariance in two dimensions forbids the existence of a special length scale.

The relative Hodge-Tate spectral sequence for rigid analytic spaces

Abstract:We construct a relative Hodge-Tate spectral sequence for any smooth proper morphism of rigid analytic spaces over a perfectoid field extension of $\mathbb Q_p$. To this end, we generalise Scholze's strategy in the absolute case by using smoothoid adic spaces. As our main additional ingredient, we prove a perfectoid version of Grothendieck's "cohomology and base-change". We also use this to prove local constancy of Hodge numbers in the rigid analytic setting, and deduce that the relative Hodge-Tate spectral sequence degenerates.

Abstract:We establish coanalytic models for a broad class of Hardy-type operators on L 2 [0, 1]. In particular, we show that the logarithmic Hardy operator is unitarily equivalent to the difference between the identity operator and the backward shift on a Bergman-type space. This result leads to several applications related to zero sets and invariant subspaces in weighted Bergman spaces. Additionally, we study logarithmic Hardy operators on L p [0, 1] and obtain results concerning their boundedness, operator norms, and spectra.
