Abstract:In this paper we study functions $ \omega(z) = c_1z+c_2z^2+c_3z^3+\cdots$ analytic in the open unit disk ${\mathbb D}$ and such that $|\omega'(z)|\le1$ for all $z\in{\mathbb D}$. For these functions we give estimates (sometimes sharp) for the following moduli: $|c_3-c_1c_2|$, $|c_1c_3-c_2^2|$, and $|c_4-c_2^2|$.

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{S}^*(\varphi)$ be the class of all analytic functions $f$ in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}=\{z\in\mathbb{C}:|z|<1\}$, normalized by $f(0)=f'(0)-1=0$ that satisfy the subordination relation $zf'(z)/f(z)\prec\varphi(z)$, where $\varphi$ is an analytic and univalent in $\mathbb{D}$ with ${\rm Re\,}\varphi(z)>0$ such that $\varphi(\mathbb{D})$ is symmetric with respect to the real axis and stralike with respect to $1$. In the present article, we obtain the sharp estimates of the pre-Schwarzian norm of $f$ and the Alexander transformation $J[f]$ for functions $f(z)$ in the class $\mathcal{S}^*(\varphi)$ when $\varphi(z)=e^{\lambda z}$, $0<\lambda\le\pi/2$ and $\varphi(z)=\sqrt{1+cz}$, $0<c\le1.$

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{A}$ denote the class of analytic functions $f$ in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}=\{z\in\mathbb{C}:|z|<1\}$ normalized by $f(0)=0$, $f'(0)=1$. For $-\pi/2<\alpha<\pi/2$, let $\mathcal{S}_{\alpha}$ be the subclass of $\mathcal{A}$ consisting of functions $f$ that satisfy the relation ${\rm Re\,} \{e^{i\alpha}(1+zf''(z)/f'(z))\}>0$ for $z\in\mathbb{D}$. In the present article, we determine the sharp estimate of the pre-Schwarzian and Schwarzian norms for functions in the class $\mathcal{S}_{\alpha}$.

Abstract:In the present paper, we introduce and investigate a new class of analytic and bi-univalent functions f(z) in the open unit disk U. For this purpose, we make use of a linear combination of the following three functions:f(z)/z, f'(z) and zf ''(z)for a function belonging to the normalized univalent function class S. By applying the technique involving the Faber polynomials, we determine estimates for the general Taylor-Maclaurin coefficient of functions belonging to the analytic and bi-univalent function class which we have introduced here. We also demonstrate the not-too-obvious behaviour of the first two Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients of such functions.

Abstract:Let $C$ be a curve over a non-archimedean local field of characteristic zero. We formulate algebro-geometric statements that imply boundedness of functions on the moduli space of stable bundles of rank $2$ and fixed odd degree determinant over $C$, coming from the Schwartz space of $\kappa$-densities on the corresponding stack of bundles (earlier we proved that these functions are locally constant on the locus of very stable bundles). We prove the relevant algebro-geometric statements for curves of genus $2$ and for non-hyperelliptic curves of genus $3$.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce and investigate each of the following subclasses:S-g(gimel, gamma) and K-g(gimel,gamma,m;u) (0 <= gimel <= 1; u is an element of R / (-infinity, -1]; m is an element of N /{1})of analytic functions of complex order gamma is an element of C \ {0}, g : U -> C being some suitably constrained convex function in the open unit disk U. We obtain coefficient bounds and coefficient estimates involving the Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients of the function f(z) when f(z) is in the class S-g(gimel,-gamma) or in the class K-g(gimel,gamma,m; u). The various results, which are presented in this paper, would generalize and improve those in related works of several earlier authors.

Abstract:For an analytic function $f(z)$ on the unit disk $|z|<1$ with $f(0)=f'(0)-1=0$ and $f(z)\ne0, 0<|z|<1,$ we consider the power deformation $f_c(z)=z(f(z)/z)^c$ for a complex number $c.$ We determine those values $c$ for which the operator $f\mapsto f_c$ maps a specified class of univalent functions into the class of univalent functions. A little surprisingly, we will see that the set is described by the variability region of the quantity $zf'(z)/f(z),~|z|<1,$ for the class in most cases which we consider in the present paper. As an unexpected by-product, we show boundedness of strongly spirallike functions.

Abstract:For the family of analytic functions $f(z)$ in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ with $f(0)=f'(0)-1=0$, satisfying the differential equation \begin{equation*} zf'(z) - f(z) = \dfrac{1}{2} z^2 \phi(z), \quad |\phi(z)| \leq 1, \end{equation*} we obtain radii of convexity, starlikeness, and close-to-convexity of partial sums of $f(z)$. We also study the generalization of this family having the form \begin{equation*} zf'(z)-f(z) = \lambda z^2 \phi(z), \quad |\phi(z)| \leq 1, \end{equation*} where $\lambda > 0,$ and obtain some useful properties of these functions.

Abstract:This article presents an investigation of global properties of a class of differential operators on $\mathbb{T}^1\times\mathbb{R}$. Our approach involves the utilization of a mixed Fourier transform, incorporating both partial Fourier series on the torus and partial Fourier transform in Euclidean space. By examining the behaviour of the mixed Fourier coefficients, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the Schwartz global hypoellipticity of this class of differential operators, as well as conditions for the Schwartz global solvability of said operators.

Abstract:Given a compact segment, $\beta$, of a cuspidal geodesic on the modular surface, we study the number of sign changes of cusp forms and Eisenstein series along $\beta$. We prove unconditionally a sharp lower bound for Eisenstein series along a full density set of spectral parameters. Conditioned on certain moment bounds, we extend this to all spectral parameters, and prove similar theorems for cusp forms. The arguments rely in part on the authors' mean square bounds [KKL24], and on removing the assumption of the Lindelöf hypothesis from recent work of Ki [Ki23].

Abstract:Assume $z_0$ lies in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ and $g$ is an analytic self-map of $\mathbb{D}$. We will determine the region of values of $g''(z_0)$ in terms of $z_0$, $g(z_0)$ and the hyperbolic derivative of $g$ at $z_0$, and give the form of all the extremal functions. In particular, we obtain a smaller sharp upper bound for $|g''(z_0)|$ than Ruscheweyh's inequality for the case of the second derivative. Moreover, we use a different method to obtain Sz{á}sz's inequality, which provides a sharp upper bound for $|g''(z_0)|$ depending only on $|z_0|$.

Abstract:Let $P(z)$ be a polynomial of degree $n\geq 1$ and $S(z)$ be a nonzero rational function. It is shown that if $f(z)$ is a meromorphic solution of the first order differential equation $f'(z)=S(z)e^{P(z)}f(z)+1$, then there is a curve $\Gamma: x\to x+iy(x)$, where $x_0\leq x<\infty$ and $\pi<nx^{n-1}y<3\pi/2$ such that for all $z\in \Gamma$, \begin{equation}\tag† |f(z)|> \exp\left(\frac{1}{8}e^{\frac{1}{8}x^{n}}\right). \end{equation} The estimate in $(†)$ together with the Wiman--Valiron theory implies that the hyper-order $\varsigma(f)$ of $f(z)$ is equal to $n$, which allows to specify the class $N$ in complex dynamics. Moreover, this provides partial answers to Brück's conjecture in uniqueness theory and also a problem on a second order algebraic differential equation of Hayman.

Abstract:Consider a class of functions of one real variable with the following uniqueness property: if a function f(x) from the class vanishes on a set of positive measure, then f is the zero function. In many instances, we would like to have a quantitative version of this property, e.g. a lower bound for f(x) outside a small exceptional set. Such estimates are well-known and useful for polynomials and analytic functions. In this work we prove similar results for the Denjoy-Carleman and the Bernstein classes of quasianalytic functions.

Several related classes of analytic and bi-univalent functions in U are also considered and connections to some of the earlier known results are pointed out.

In the present article, we determine the sharp estimate of the Schwarzian norm for functions in the class . The Dieudonné's lemma which gives the exact region of variability for derivatives at a point of bounded functions, plays the key role in this study, and we also use this lemma to construct the extremal functions for the sharpness by a new method.
