Abstract:In this paper, we transform a formula for the $A_2$ Dunkl kernel by Béchir Amri. The resulting formula expresses the $A_2$ Dunkl kernel in terms of the $A_1$ Dunkl kernel involving only positive terms. This result allows us to derive sharp estimates for the $A_2$ Dunkl kernel. As an interesting by-product, we obtain sharp esitmates for the corresponding heat kernel.

Abstract:We show that a near‐diagonal lower bound of the heat kernel of a Dirichlet form on a metric measure space with a regular measure implies an on‐diagonal upper bound. If in addition the Dirichlet form is local and regular, then we obtain a full off‐diagonal upper bound of the heat kernel provided the Dirichlet heat kernel on any ball satisfies a near‐diagonal lower estimate. This reveals a new phenomenon in the relationship between the lower and upper bounds of the heat kernel. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Abstract:Abstract We investigate off-diagonal upper bounds of heat kernels for local regular Dirichlet forms on metric measure spaces. The key is to estimate from above the solution of the Schrödinger equation in any ball. As an application, we obtain heat kernel upper estimates onmetric measure spaces if both Dirichlet Green functions and volumes of balls decay at polynomial growth.

Abstract:We give equivalent characterizations for off-diagonal upper bounds of the heat kernel of a regular Dirichlet form on the metric measure space, in two settings: for the upper bounds with the polynomial tail (typical for jump processes) and for the upper bounds with the exponential tail (for diffusions). Our proofs are purely analytic and do not use the associated Hunt process.

Abstract:We study the heat kernel of a regular symmetric Dirichlet form on a metric space with doubling measure, in particular, a connection between the properties of the jump measure and the long time behaviour of the heat kernel. Abstract:The orthonormal Strichartz estimates for the Schrödinger equation associated to the Dunkl Laplacian and the Dunkl-Hermite operator are derived in Senapati et al. (J Geom Anal 34:74, 2024) and Mondal and Song (Israel J Math, 2023). In this article we construct a set of coherent states in the Dunkl setting and apply semi-classical analysis to derive a necessary condition on the Schatten exponent for the aforementioned orthonormal Strichartz estimates, which turns out to be optimal for the Schrödinger equations associated with Laplacian and Hermite operator as a particular case.

Abstract:We establish the optimal $L^p$, $p=2(d+3)/(d+1),$ eigenfunction bound for the Hermite operator $\mathcal H=-\Delta+|x|^2$ on $\mathbb R^d$. Let $\Pi_\lambda$ denote the projection operator to the vector space spanned by the eigenfunctions of $\mathcal H$ with eigenvalue $\lambda$. The optimal $L^2$--$L^p$ bounds on $\Pi_\lambda$, $2\le p\le \infty$, have been known by the works of Karadzhov and Koch-Tataru except $p=2(d+3)/(d+1)$. For $d\ge 3$, we prove the optimal bound for the missing endpoint case. Our result is built on a new phenomenon: improvement of the bound due to asymmetric localization near the sphere $\sqrt\lambda \mathbb S^{d-1}$.

Abstract:In this paper we present new heat kernel upper bounds for a certain class of non-local regular Dirichlet forms on metric measure spaces, including fractal spaces. We use a new purely analytic method where one of the main tools is the parabolic maximum principle. We deduce an off-diagonal upper bound of the heat kernel from the on-diagonal one under the volume regularity hypothesis, restriction of the jump kernel and the survival hypothesis. As an application, we obtain two-sided estimates of heat kernels for non-local regular Dirichlet forms with finite effective resistance, including settings with the walk dimension greater than 2.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we present a new approach to obtaining the off-diagonal upper estimate of the heat kernel for any regular Dirichlet form without a killing part on the doubling space. One of the novelties is that we have obtained the weighted L2{L^{2}}-norm estimate of the survival function 1-PtB⁢1B{1-P_{t}^{B}1_{B}} for any metric ball B, which yields a nice tail estimate of the heat semigroup associated with the Dirichlet form. The parabolic L2{L^{2}} mean-value inequality is borrowed to use.
Bounds for Characters of the Symmetric Group: A Hypercontractive Approach

Abstract:Finding upper bounds for character ratios is a fundamental problem in asymptotic group theory. Previous bounds in the symmetric group have led to remarkable applications in unexpected domains. The existing approaches predominantly relied on algebraic methods, whereas our approach combines analytic and algebraic tools. Specifically, we make use of a tool called `hypercontractivity for global functions' from the theory of Boolean functions. By establishing sharp upper bounds on the $L^p$-norms of characters of the symmetric group, we improve existing results on character ratios from the work of Larsen and Shalev [Larsen M., Shalev A. Characters of the symmetric group: sharp bounds and applications. Invent. math. 174 645-687 (2008)]. We use our norm bounds to bound Kronecker coefficients, Fourier coefficients of class functions, product mixing of normal sets, and mixing time of normal Cayley graphs. Our approach bypasses the need for the $S_n$-specific Murnaghan--Nakayama rule. Instead we leverage more flexible representation theoretic tools, such as Young's branching rule, which potentially extend the applicability of our method to groups beyond $S_n$.

Abstract:We give non-symmetric versions of the Cauchy kernel and Littlewood's kernels, corresponding to the types $A_n$, $B_n$, $C_n$ and $D_n$, of the classical groups. We show that these new kernels are diagonal in the basis of two families of key polynomials (one of them being Demazure characters) obtained as images of dominant monomials under isobaric divided differences. We define scalar products such that the two families of key polynomials are adjoint to each other.

Abstract:In this article, we establish first a geometric Paley-Wiener theorem for the Dunkl transform in the crystallographic case. Next we obtain an optimal bound for the $L^p\to L^p$ norm of Dunkl translations in dimension 1. Finally we describe more precisely the support of the distribution associated to Dunkl translations in higher dimension.

As hypotheses, we use the Faber–Krahn inequality, the generalized capacity condition and an upper bound for the integrated tail of the jump kernel. Abstract:The orthogonality dimension of a graph over $\mathbb{R}$ is the smallest integer $d$ for which one can assign to every vertex a nonzero vector in $\mathbb{R}^d$ such that every two adjacent vertices receive orthogonal vectors. For an integer $d$, the $d$-Ortho-Dim$_\mathbb{R}$ problem asks to decide whether the orthogonality dimension of a given graph over $\mathbb{R}$ is at most $d$. We prove that for every integer $d \geq 3$, the $d$-Ortho-Dim$_\mathbb{R}$ problem parameterized by the vertex cover number $k$ admits a kernel with $O(k^{d-1})$ vertices and bit-size $O(k^{d-1} \cdot \log k)$. We complement this result by a nearly matching lower bound, showing that for any $\varepsilon > 0$, the problem admits no kernel of bit-size $O(k^{d-1-\varepsilon})$ unless $\mathsf{NP} \subseteq \mathsf{coNP/poly}$. We further study the kernelizability of orthogonality dimension problems in additional settings, including over general fields and under various structural parameterizations.

Abstract:We determine an effective upper bound for Huber's constant in the prime geodesic theorem on cofinite Fuchsian groups in the previously uncovered case of orbifolds on which the length of the shortest prime geodesic does not exceed 4/3. Huber's constant is relevant for obtaining effective, numerically computable, bounds for various analytic quantities which appear in the Arakelov theory of algebraic curves. The result is illustrated by finding an upper bound for this constant on (2, 3, 7) triangle group. We also calculate an effective upper bound for Faltings's delta function on the Klein quartic.
