Abstract:The representation theory of a commutative noetherian ring is tightly controlled by its prime spectrum. In this article we use the prime spectrum to describe mutation of cosilting objects in the derived category of a commutative noetherian ring.

Abstract:Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Ahead of Print. Let [math] be a commutative ring with identity and [math] be a multiplicative subset of [math]. We say that [math] has [math]-Noetherian spectrum if for every ideal [math] of [math] [math] for some [math] and some finitely generated ideal [math] In this paper, we study rings with [math]-Noetherian spectrum. Among other things, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for Nagata's idealization [math], where [math] is an [math]-module, to satisfy the [math]-Noetherian spectrum. We also investigate when the amalgamated algebra along an ideal has [math]-Noetherian spectrum. Several examples are given to illustrate the concepts and results.

Abstract:Let $\textrm{coh}\ \mathbb{X}$ be the category of coherent sheaves over a weighted projective line $\mathbb{X}$ and let $D^b(\textrm{coh}\ \mathbb{X})$ be its bounded derived category. The present paper focuses on the study of the right and left mutation functors arising in $D^b(\textrm{coh}\ \mathbb{X})$ attached to certain line bundles. As applications, we first show that these mutation functors give rise to simple reflections for the Weyl group of the star-shaped quiver ${Q}$ associated with $\mathbb{X}$. By further dealing with the Ringel–Hall algebra of $\mathbb{X}$, we show that these functors provide a realization for Tits’ automorphisms of the Kac–Moody algebra ${\mathfrak g}_{Q}$ associated with ${Q}$, as well as for Lusztig’s symmetries of the quantum enveloping algebra of ${\mathfrak g}_{Q}$.

Abstract:We describe mutation elements in free $\mathfrak{perm}$ algebras. Moreover, we construct a base of free mutation of free $\mathfrak{perm}$ algebra. Using Cohn's criterion for the specialty of algebras, we show that there is an exceptional homomorphic image of mutation of free $\mathfrak{perm}$ algebras.

Abstract:Let $f:R\to S$ be a ring homomorphism and $J$ be an ideal of $S$. Then the subring $R\bowtie^fJ:=\{(r,f(r)+j)\mid r\in R$ and $j\in J\}$ of $R\times S$ is called the amalgamation of $R$ with $S$ along $J$ with respect to $f$. In this paper, we will deepen the study of the prime spectrum of the amalgamations and characterize when $R\bowtie^fJ$ is a pm-ring. We also investigate the transfer of compactly packed and properly zipped property on amalgamated constructions.

Abstract:We investigate from an algebraic and topological point of view the minimal prime spectrum of a universal algebra, considering the prime congruences w.r.t. the term condition commutator. Then we use the topological structure of the minimal prime spectrum to study extensions of universal algebras that generalize certain types of ring extensions. Our results hold for semiprime members of semi-degenerate congruence-modular varieties, as well as semiprime algebras whose term condition commutators are commutative and distributive w.r.t. arbitrary joins and satisfy certain conditions on compact congruences, even if those algebras do not generate congruence-modular varieties.

Abstract:We use geometric fixed points to describe the homotopy theory of genuine equivariant commutative ring spectra after inverting the group order. The main innovation is the use of the extra structure provided by the Hill-Hopkins-Ravenel norms in the form of additional norm maps on geometric fixed point diagrams, which turns out to be computationally managable.

Abstract:The primary motivation for this work is to develop the concept of Marshall's quotient applicable to non-commutative multi-rings endowed with involution, expanding upon the main ideas of the classical case—commutative and without involution—presented in Marshall's seminal paper. We define two multiplicative properties to address the involutive case and characterize their Marshall quotient. Moreover, this article presents various cases demonstrating that the "multi" version of rings with involution offers many examples, applications, and relatives in (multi)algebraic structures. Therefore, we established the first steps toward the development of an expansion of real algebra and real algebraic geometry to a non-commutative and involutive setting.

Abstract:Inspirited by the importance of the spectral theory of graphs, we introduce the spectral theory of valued cluster quiver of a cluster algebra. Our aim is to characterize a cluster algebra via its spectrum so as to use the spectral theory as a tool. First, we give the relations between exchange spectrum of a valued cluster quiver and adjacency spectrum of its underlying valued graph, and between exchange spectra of a valued cluster quiver and its full valued subquivers. The key point is to find some invariants from the spectrum theory under mutations of cluster algebras, which is the second part we discuss. We give a sufficient and necessary condition for a cluster quiver and its mutation to be cospectral. Following this discussion, the so-called cospectral subalgebra of a cluster algebra is introduced. We study bounds of exchange spectrum radii of cluster quivers and give a characterization of 2-maximal cluster quivers via the classification of oriented graphs of its mutation equivalence. Finally, as an application of this result, we obtain that the preprojective algebra of a cluster quiver of Dynkin type is representation-finite if and only if the cluster quiver is 2-maximal.
A Universal Property of the Spectrum of a Ring and the Semiring of its Ideals

Abstract:Arithmetic valuations are intimately connected with the structure of the ideals of a commutative ring. We show how the generalized idempotent semiring valuations of Jeffrey and Noah Giansiracusa can be used to make this connection explicit. Through this generalized valuation theory sufficiently complete positive valuations give rise to Galois correspondences with the lattice of ideals of a commutative ring. Up to isomorphism the semiring of ideals of a commutative ring can be defined as a universal factoring semiring for positive valuations. We then further show that this valuation theory can formally connect Joyal's \textit{notion de zéros} and universal property of the spectrum of a ring to arithmetic valuation theory. We show that up to isomorphism as a coframe, the closed Zariski topology on a spectrum of a commutative ring can be defined as the universal factoring semiring of additively and multiplicatively idempotent valuations.

Abstract:We show that Krause's recollement exists for any locally coherent Grothendieck category such that its derived category is compactly generated. As a source of such categories, we consider the hearts of intermediate and restrictable $t$-structures in the derived category of a commutative noetherian ring. We show that the induced tilting object over such a heart gives rise to an equivalence between the two Krause's recollements, and in particular, to a singular equivalence.

Given such a map $\varphi$ of finite flat dimension, the results relate homological properties of the relative Frobenius of $\varphi$ to those of the fibers of $\varphi$. The focus is on the complete intersection property and the Gorenstein property.

Abstract:In a previous paper, the third author proved that finite-degree polynomial functors over infinite fields are topologically Noetherian. In this paper, we prove that the same holds for polynomial functors from free R-modules to finitely generated R-modules, for any commutative ring R whose spectrum is Noetherian. As Erman-Sam-Snowden pointed out, when applying this with R = Z to direct sums of symmetric powers, one of their proofs of a conjecture by Stillman becomes characteristic-independent. Our paper advertises and further develops the beautiful but not so well-known machinery of polynomial laws. In particular, to any finitely generated R-module M we associate a topological space, which we show is Noetherian when Spec ( R ) is; this is the degree-zero case of our result on polynomial functors.

Abstract:In this paper we develop a theory of stable homotopy 2‐groups for spectra which is compatible with the smash product on the structured models for the stable homotopy category, therefore the homotopy 2‐groups of a ring spectrum form a 2‐ring, etc. For instance, the primary algebraic model of a ring spectrum R is the ring π*R of homotopy groups. We introduce the secondary model π*, *R which has the structure of a secondary analogue of a ring. The homology of π*, *R is π*R and triple Massey products in π*, *R coincide with triple Toda brackets in π*R. We also describe the secondary model π*, *Q of a commutative ring spectrum Q from which we derive the cup‐one square operation in the graded commutative ring π*Q. As an application we obtain for each ring spectrum R new derivations of the ring π*R.

Abstract:Given any commutative Noetherian ring R and an element x in R, we consider the full subcategory of its singularity category consisting of objects for which the morphism that is given by the multiplication by x is zero. Our main observation is that we can establish a relation between and for any two ring elements x and y. Utilizing this observation, we obtain a decomposition of the singularity category and consequently an upper bound on the dimension of the singularity category.

Abstract:We prove that an abelian category equipped with an ample sequence of objects is equivalent to the quotient of the category of coherent modules over the corresponding algebra by the subcategory of finite-dimensional modules. In the Noetherian case a similar result was proved by Artin and Zhang.

Abstract:In the derived category of a commutative noetherian ring, we explicitly construct a silting object associated with each sp-filtration of the Zariski spectrum satisfying the "slice" condition. Our new construction is based on local cohomology and it allows us to study when the silting object is tilting. For a ring admitting a dualizing complex, this occurs precisely when the sp-filtration arises from a codimension function on the spectrum. In the absence of a dualizing complex, the situation is more delicate and the tilting property is closely related to the condition that the ring is a homomorphic image of a Cohen–Macaulay ring. We also provide dual versions of our results in the cosilting case.

Abstract:In commutative ring theory, there is a theorem of Cohen which states that if in a commutative ring all prime ideals are finitely generated then every ideal is finitely generated. However, it is known that having only maximal ideals finitely generated doesn't imply all ideals be finitely generated. In his article we ask the question that what happens if we assume all non-maximal ideals are finitely generated, and we answer the question by showing that indeed then all maximal ideals are also finitely generated i.e. the ring becomes Noetherian.

Abstract:Abstract We investigate the (separated) monomorphism category of a quiver over an Artin algebra . We show that there exists an epivalence (called representation equivalence in the terminology of Auslander) from to , where is the category of finitely generated ‐modules and and denote the respective injectively stable categories. Furthermore, if has at least one arrow, then we show that this is an equivalence if and only if is hereditary. In general, the epivalence induces a bijection between indecomposable objects in and noninjective indecomposable objects in , and we show that the generalized Mimo‐construction, an explicit minimal right approximation into , gives an inverse to this bijection. We apply these results to describe the indecomposables in the monomorphism category of radical square zero Nakayama algebras, and to give a bijection between the indecomposables in the monomorphism category of two artinian uniserial rings of Loewy length 3 with the same residue field. The main tool to prove these results is the language of a free monad of an exact endofunctor on an arbitrary abelian category. This allows us to avoid the technical combinatorics arising from quiver representations. The setup also specializes to more general settings, such as representations of modulations. In particular, we obtain new results on the singularity category of the algebras that were introduced by Geiss, Leclerc, and Schröer in order to extend their results relating cluster algebras and Lusztig's semicanonical basis to symmetrizable Cartan matrices. We also recover results on the algebras that were introduced by Lu and Wang to realize groups via semiderived Hall algebras.
