Abstract:We determine all the homogeneous structure tensors on $\mathbb{S}^2\times\mathbb{R}$ and $\mathbb{H}^2\times\mathbb{R}$. This work together with previous articles yields a complete classification of all the homogeneous structure tensors on three-dimensional homogeneous Riemannian manifolds.

Abstract:We give a spinorial construction of Sasakian and 3-Sasakian structures in arbitrary dimension, generalizing previously known results in dimensions 5 and 7. Furthermore, we obtain a complete description of the space of invariant spinors on a homogeneous 3-Sasakian space, and show that it is spanned by the Clifford products of invariant differential forms with a certain invariant Killing spinor. Finally, we give a basis for the space of invariant Riemannian Killing spinors on a homogeneous 3-Sasakian space, and determine which of these induce the homogeneous 3-Sasakian structure.

Abstract:The methods of Information geometry have been glowing up to develop various subjects of theoretical physics, including quantum information systems. The present article has two purposes. The first one is to develop general theory of homogeneous statistical manifolds. In particular we construct explicit examples of homogeneous statistical manifolds of low dimension. The second purpose is to classify $3$-dimensional Lie groups admitting non-trivial conjugate symmetric left invariant statistical structure.

Abstract:Spinorial methods have proven to be a powerful tool to study geometric properties of spin manifolds. Our aim is to continue the spinorial study of manifolds that are not necessarily spin. We introduce and study the notion of $G$-invariance of spin$^r$ structures on a manifold $M$ equipped with an action of a Lie group $G$. For the case when $M$ is a homogeneous $G$-space, we prove a classification result of these invariant structures in terms of the isotropy representation. As an example, we study the invariant spin$^r$ structures for all the homogeneous realisations of the spheres.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider half-flat $SU(3)$-structures and the subclasses of coupled and double structures. In the general case we show that the intrinsic torsion form $w_1^-$ is constant in each of the two subclasses. We then consider the problem of finding half-flat structures inducing Einstein metrics on homogeneous spaces. We give an example of a left invariant half-flat (non coupled and non double) structure inducing an Einstein metric on $S^3\times S^3$ and we show there does not exist any left invariant coupled structure inducing an ${\rm Ad}(S^1)$-invariant Einstein metric on it. Finally, we show that there are no coupled structures inducing the Einstein metric on Einstein solvmanifolds and on homogeneous Einstein manifolds of nonpositive sectional curvature.

Abstract:An explicit classification of simply connected compact homogeneous CR manifolds G/L of codimension one, with non-degenerate Levi form, is given. There are three classes of such manifolds: a) the standard CR homogeneous manifolds which are homogeneous S^1-bundles over a flag manifold F, with CR structure induced by an invariant complex structure on F; b) the Morimoto-Nagano spaces, i.e. sphere bundles $S(N)\subset TN$ of a compact rank one symmetric space N = G/H, with the CR structure induced by the natural complex structure of $TN = G^\C/H^\C$; c) the following manifolds: $SU_n/T^1\cdot SU_{n-2}$, $SU_p\times SU_q/T^1 \cdot U_{p-2}\cdot U_{q-2}$, $SU_n/T^1\cdot SU_2\cdot SU_2\cdot SU_{n-4}$, $SO_{10}/T^1\cdot SO_6$, $E_6/T^1\cdot SO_8$; these manifolds admit canonical holomorphic fibrations over a flag manifold (F,J_F) with typical fiber S(S^k), where k = 2, 3, 5, 7 or 9, respectively; the CR structure is determined by the invariant complex structure J_F on F and by an invariant CR structure on the typical fiber, depending on one complex parameter.

On $G_2$ manifolds with cohomogeneity two symmetry

Abstract:We consider $G_2$ manifolds with a cohomogeneity two $\mathbb{T}^2\times \mathrm{SU}(2)$ symmetry group. We give a local characterization of these manifolds and we describe the geometry, including regularity and singularity analysis, of cohomogeneity one calibrated submanifolds in them. We apply these results to the manifolds recently constructed by Foscolo--Haskins--Nordström and to the Bryant--Salamon manifold of topology $S^3\times \mathbb{R}^4$. In particular, we describe new large families of complete $\mathbb{T}^2$-invariant associative submanifolds in them.

Abstract:We prove various classification results for homogeneous locally conformally symplectic manifolds. In particular, we show that a homogeneous locally conformally Kaehler manifold of a reductive group is of Vaisman type, if the normalizer of the isotropy group is compact. We also show that such a result does not hold in the case of noncompact normalizer and determine all left-invariant locally conformally Kaehler structures on reductive Lie groups.

Abstract:This paper explores various differentiable structures on the product manifold $M \times \mathbb{S}^k$, where $M$ is either a 4-dimensional closed oriented manifold or a simply connected 5-dimensional closed manifold. We identify the possible stable homotopy types of $M$ and use it to calculate the concordance inertia group and the concordance structure set of $M\times\mathbb{S}^k$ for $1\leq k\leq 10.$ These calculations enable us to further classify all manifolds that are homeomorphic to $\mathbb{C}P^2\times\mathbb{S}^k$, up to diffeomorphism, for each $4\leq k\leq 6$.

Abstract: In this paper, we study hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{H}^2\times\mathbb{H}^2$. We first classify the hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures and constant product angle function. Then, we classify homogeneous hypersurfaces and isoparametric hypersurfaces, respectively. Finally, we classify the hypersurfaces with at most two distinct constant principal curvatures, as well as those with three constant principal curvatures under some additional conditions.

Abstract:We determine all affinely homogeneous models for surfaces $S^2 \subset \mathbb{R}^4$, including the simply transitive models. We employ an improved power series method of equivalence, which captures invariants at the origin, creates branches, and infinitesimalizes calculations. We find several inequivalent terminal branches yielding each to some nonempty moduli space of homogeneous models, sometimes parametrized by a certain invariant algebraic variety. Three main features may be emphasized: 1) Iterated single-pointed jet bundles; 2) Cartan-enhanced power series method of equivalence; 3) Constant ping-pong between normal forms (nf) and vector fields (vf).

Abstract:We consider two different $\text{SU}(2)^2$-invariant cohomogeneity one manifolds, one non-compact $M=\mathbb{R}^4 \times S^3$ and one compact $M=S^4 \times S^3$, and study the existence of coclosed $\text{SU}(2)^2$-invariant $G_2$-structures constructed from half-flat $\text{SU}(3)$-structures. For $\mathbb{R}^4 \times S^3$, we prove the existence of a family of coclosed (but not necessarily torsion-free) $G_2$-structures which is given by three smooth functions satisfying certain boundary conditions around the singular orbit and a non-zero parameter. Moreover, any coclosed $G_2$-structure constructed from a half-flat $\text{SU}(3)$-structure is in this family. For $S^4 \times S^3$, we prove that there are no $\text{SU}(2)^2$-invariant coclosed $G_2$-structures constructed from half-flat $\text{SU}(3)$-structures.

Abstract:We study the $\rm{SU}(3)$-structure induced on an oriented hypersurface of a 7-dimensional manifold with a nearly parallel $\rm{G}_2$-structure. We call such $\rm{SU}(3)$-structures nearly half-flat. We characterise the left invariant nearly half-flat structures on $S^3\times S^3$. This characterisation then help us to systematically analyse nearly parallel $\rm{G}_2$-structures on an interval times $ S^3\times S^3$.

Abstract:We develop the concept of a homogeneity supermanifold, which is more general than most of the approaches to graded manifolds present in the literature. Instead of doing it via ringed spaces and sheaves of graded algebras, we prefer a purely differential geometric language and view gradings as provided by an additional structure on supermanifolds, namely the weight vector field. This gives us a privileged atlas with homogeneous local coordinates. The fact that the transition maps `preserve weights' is then automatic, but weights of homogeneous coordinates may vary from one chart to the other. Moreover, such local homogeneous coordinates may have arbitrary real weights, not only integers. We study homogeneity submanifolds, homogeneity Lie supergroups, tangent and cotangent lifts of homogeneity structures, homogeneous distributions and codistributions, and other related concepts. The main achievements in this framework are proofs of the homogeneous Poincaré Lemma and a homogeneous analog of the Darboux Theorem.

Abstract:Let $M$ be a closed symplectic manifold of dimension $2n$ with non-ellipticity. We can define an almost Kähler structure on $M$ by using the given symplectic form. Hence, we have a $\G=\pi_1(M)$-invariant almost Kähler structure on the universal covering, $\ti M$, of $M$. Using Darboux coordinate charts, we globally deform the given almost Kähler structure on $\ti M$ off a Lebesgue measure zero subset to obtain a $\G$-invariant Lipschitz Kähler flat structure on $\ti M$ which is $\G$-homotopy equivalent to the given almost Kähler structure. Analogous to Teleman's $L^2$-Hodge decomposition on PL manifolds or Lipschitz Riemannian manifolds, we give a $L^2$-Hodge decomposition theorem on $\ti M$ with respect to the Lipschitz Kähler flat metric. Using an argument of Gromov, we give a vanishing theorem for $L^2$ harmonic $p$-forms, $p\not=n$ (resp. a non-vanishing theorem for $L^2$ harmonic $n$-forms) on $\ti M$, then the signed Euler characteristic satisfies $(-1)^n\chi(M)\geq0$ (resp. $(-1)^n\chi(M)>0$). Similarly, for any closed even dimensional Riemannian manifold $(M, g)$, we can construct a $\G$-invariant Lipschitz Kähler flat structure on the universal covering, $(\ti M, \ti g)$, of $(M, g)$ which is $\G$-homotopy equivalent to and quasi-isometric to the metric $\ti g$. As an application, using Gromov's method we show that the Chern-Hopf conjecture holds true in closed even dimensional Riemannian manifolds with nonpositive curvature (resp. strictly negative curvature), it gives a positive answer to a Yau's problem due to S. S. Chern and H. Hopf.

Abstract:We study Riemannian 8-manifolds with an infinitesimal action of SO(3) under which each tangent space breaks into irreducible spaces of dimensions 3 and 5. The relationship with quaternionic, almost product- and PSU-geometry is thoroughly explained using representation-theoretical arguments. This leads to the precise study of the intrinsic invariants upon which the structure depends, and also to the description of topological constraints for the existence of such manifolds. Finally, many examples are provided together with general recipes to build them.

Abstract:The purpose of the paper is to categorize quasi-Einstein structures on simply connected three-dimensional homogeneous almost -cosympletic manifolds, where the Reeb vector field is an eigenvector of the Ricci operator. This is achieved by assuming that the potential vector field of the quasi-Einstein structure is both pointwise collinear and transversal to the Reeb vector field at every point. The paper concludes by constructing an instance of a hyperbolic space, denoted as , which satisfies the quasi-Einstein structure.
