Abstract:In this article we show that the Log Minimal Model Program for $\mathbb{Q}$-factorial dlt pairs $(X, B)$ on a compact Kähler $3$-fold holds. More specifically, we show that after finitely many divisorial contractions and flips we obtain either a (log) minimal model or a Mori fiber space. We also prove a base point free theorem Kähler $3$-folds.

Abstract:Let (X/Z,B+A) be a Q-factorial dlt pair where B,A≥0 are Q-divisors and K X +B+A∼ Q 0/Z. We prove that any LMMP/Z on K X +B with scaling of an ample/Z divisor terminates with a good log minimal model or a Mori fibre space. We show that a more general statement follows from the ACC for lc thresholds. An immediate corollary of these results is that log flips exist for log canonical pairs.

Abstract:In this article we establish the following results: Let $(X, B)$ be a dlt pair, where $X$ is a $\mathbb Q$-factorial Kähler $4$-fold -- (i) if $X$ is compact and $K_X+B\sim_{\mathbb Q} D\geq 0$ for some effective $\mathbb Q$-divisor, then $(X, B)$ has a log minimal model, (ii) if $(X/T, B)$ is a semi-stable klt pair, $W\subset T$ a compact subset and $K_X+B$ is effective over $W$ (resp. not effective over $W$), then we can run a $(K_X+B)$-MMP over $T$ (in a neighborhood of $W$) which ends with a minimal model over $T$ (resp. a Mori fiber space over $T$). We also give a proof of the existence of flips for analytic varieties in all dimensions and the relative MMP for projective morphisms between analytic varieties.

Abstract:Given an NQC log canonical generalized pair $(X,B+M)$ whose underlying variety $X$ is not necessarily $\mathbb{Q}$-factorial, we show that one may run a $(K_X+B+M)$-MMP with scaling of an ample divisor which terminates, provided that $(X,B+M)$ has a minimal model in a weaker sense or that $K_X+B+M$ is not pseudo-effective. We also prove the existence of minimal models of pseudo-effective NQC log canonical generalized pairs under various additional assumptions, for instance, when the boundary contains an ample divisor.

Abstract:Let $(X, \Delta)/U$ be klt pairs and $Q$ be a convex set of divisors. Assuming that the relative Kodaira dimensions are non-negative, then there are only finitely many log canonical models when the boundary divisors varying in a relatively compact rational polytope in $Q$. As a consequence, we show the existence of the log canonical model for a klt pair $(X, \Delta)/U$ with real coefficients.

Abstract:Let (X, B) be a projective log canonical pair such that B is a Q-divisor, and that there is a surjective morphism f : X -> Z onto a normal variety Z satisfying K-X + B similar to (Q) f*M for some big Q-divisor M, and the augmented base locus B+(M) does not contain the image of any log canonical centre of (X, B). We will show that (X, B) has a good log minimal model. An interesting special case is when f is the identity morphism.

Abstract:In this paper, we first establish an $L^2$-type Dolbeault isomorphism for logarithmic differential forms by Hormanderu0027s $L^2$-estimates. By using this isomorphism and the construction of smooth Hermitian metrics, we obtain a number of new vanishing theorems for sheaves of logarithmic differential forms on compact Kahler manifolds with simple normal crossing divisors, which generalize several classical vanishing theorems, including Norimatsuu0027s vanishing theorem, Gibrauu0027s vanishing theorem, Le Potieru0027s vanishing theorem and a version of the Kawamata-Viehweg vanishing theorem.

Abstract:If $\mathcal{F}$ is a corank one foliation on a $\mathbb{Q}$-factorial normal projective threefold and $\Delta \geq 0$ a $\mathbb{Q}$-divisor on $X$ such that $(\mathcal{F}, \Delta)$ is foliated log canonical and $(X, \Delta)$ is klt, we show that $K_{\mathcal{F}} +\Delta$ admits a minimal model or a Mori fiber space. In case $(\mathcal{F}, \Delta)$ is boundary polarized and $K_{\mathcal{F}}+ \Delta$ is pseudoeffective, the minimal model is good. We also apply our results to study the relation between different minimal models, namely, any two minimal models of a given foliated log canonical pair can be connected by a sequence of flops and in the boundary polarized case, the minimal models are only finitely many in number.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the non-vanishing and some special cases of the abundance for log canonical threefold pairs over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p > 3$. More precisely, we prove that if $(X,B)$ be a projective log canonical threefold pair over $k$ and $K_{X}+B$ is pseudo-effective, then $\kappa(K_{X}+B)\geq 0$, and if $K_{X}+B$ is nef and $\kappa(K_{X}+B)\geq 1$, then $K_{X}+B$ is semi-ample. As applications, we show that the log canonical rings of projective log canonical threefold pairs over $k$ are finitely generated and the abundance holds when the nef dimension $n(K_{X}+B)\leq 2$ or when the Albanese map $a_{X}:X\to \mathrm{Alb}(X)$ is non-trivial. Moreover, we prove that the abundance for klt threefold pairs over $k$ implies the abundance for log canonical threefold pairs over $k$.

Abstract:In this article we show that if $(X, \Delta)$ is a log canonical compact Kähler threefold pair such that $K_X+\Delta$ is nef and the numerical dimension $\nu(X, K_X+\Delta)=2$, then $K_X+\Delta$ is semi-ample. This result combined with our previous work in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2201.01202" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2201.01202">arXiv:2201.01202</a> shows that the log abundance holds for log canonical compact Kähler threefold pairs.

Log canonical pairs with conjecturally minimal volume

Abstract:We construct log canonical pairs $(X,B)$ with $B$ a nonzero reduced divisor and $K_X+B$ ample that have the smallest known volume. We conjecture that our examples have the smallest volume in each dimension. The conjecture is true in dimension 2, by Liu and Shokurov. The examples are weighted projective hypersurfaces that are not quasi-smooth. We also develop an example for a related extremal problem. Esser constructed a klt Calabi-Yau variety which conjecturally has the smallest mld in each dimension (for example, mld $1/13$ in dimension 2 and $1/311$ in dimension 3). However, the example was only worked out completely in dimensions at most 18. We now prove the desired properties of Esser's example in all dimensions (in particular, determining its mld).

Abstract:In this article we define generalized pairs $(X, B+\boldsymbol{\beta})$ where $X$ is an analytic variety and $\boldsymbol{\beta}$ is a b-(1,1) current. We then prove that almost all standard results of the MMP hold in this generality for compact Kähler varieties of dim $X\leq 3$. More specifically, we prove the cone theorem, existence of flips, existence of log terminal models, log canonical models and Mori fiber spaces, the geography of log canonical and log terminal models, etc.
