Abstract:In the present paper, we propose the concepts of weighted differential ($q$-tri)dendriform algebras and give some basic properties of them. The corresponding free objects are constructed, in both the commutative and noncommutative contexts.

Abstract:In this paper, we first introduce a weighted derivation on algebras over an operad $\cal P$, and prove that for the free $\cal P$-algebra, its weighted derivation is determined by the restriction on the generators. As applications, we propose the concept of weighted differential ($q$-tri)dendriform algebras and study some basic properties of them. Then Novikov-(tri)dendriform algebras are initiated, which can be induced from differential ($q$-tri) dendriform of weight zero. Finally, the corresponding free objects are constructed, in both the commutative and noncommutative contexts.

Abstract:As an algebraic study of differential equations, differential algebras have been studied for a century and and become an important area of mathematics. In recent years the area has been expended to the noncommutative associative and Lie algebra contexts and to the case when the operator identity has a weight in order to include difference operators and difference algebras. This paper provides a cohomology theory for differential algebras of any weights. This gives a uniform approach to both the zero weight case which is similar to the earlier study of differential Lie algebras, and the non-zero weight case which poses new challenges. As applications, abelian extensions of a differential algebra are classified by the second cohomology group. Furthermore, formal deformations of differential algebras are obtained and the rigidity of a differential algebra is characterized by the vanishing of the second cohomology group.

Abstract:In this paper, we first prove that a Rota-Baxter family algebra indexed by a semigroup induces an ordinary Rota-Baxter algebra structure on the tensor product with the semigroup algebra. We show that the same phenomenon arises for dendriform and tridendriform family algebras. Then we construct free dendriform family algebras in terms of typed decorated planar binary trees. Finally, we generalize typed decorated rooted trees to typed valently decorated Schröder trees and use them to construct free tridendriform family algebras.

Abstract:The weighted triangulation algebras associated to triangulation quivers and their socle deformations were recently introduced and studied in [15]-[20] and [2]. These algebras, based on surface triangulations and originated from the theory of cluster algebras, were also proved to be (with some minor exceptions) finite-dimensional tame symmetric and periodic algebras of period 4. In this paper, we introduce a new concept of a generalized triangulation quiver, extending the notion of a triangulation quiver. Inparticular, it is also shown that the generalized triangulation quivers can be constructed from triangulations of orientable surfaces with marked self-foldedtriangles. Moreover, motivated by the recent results of [28], we define and investigate so called weighted generalized triangulation algebras associated to generalized triangulation quivers, which naturally arise from mutations of weighted triangulation algebras.

Abstract:Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Ahead of Print. The purpose of this paper is to study cohomologies of differential [math]-Lie algebras with any weight and applications. First, we introduce representations of differential [math]-Lie algebras. Moreover, we develop cohomology theory of differential [math]-Lie algebras. We also depict the relationship between the cohomologies of a differential [math]-Lie algebra and its associated differential Leibniz algebra with weight zero. Finally, formal deformations, abelian extensions and skeletal differential [math]-Lie 2-algebras are characterized in terms of cohomology groups.

Abstract:We show that a semi-commutative Galois extension of a unital associative algebra can be endowed with the structure of a graded q-differential algebra. We study the first and higher order noncommutative differential calculus of semi-commutative Galois extension induced by the graded q-differential algebra. As an example we consider the quaternions which can be viewed as the semi-commutative Galois extension of complex numbers.

Abstract:In [Discrete differential calculus on simplicial complexes and constrained homology, Chin. Ann. Math. Ser. B 44(4), 615-640, 2023], the constrained (co)homology for simplicial complexes and independence hypergraphs is constructed via differential calculus on discrete sets. In this paper, we study the differential calculus for free algebra and subsequently study the homomorphisms of constrained (co)homology induced by inclusions of simplicial complexes and independence hypergraphs. We apply the differential calculus to hypergraphs. We realize simplicial complexes and independence hypergraphs as certain invariant traces of hypergraphs. As an application, we give the constrained persistent (co)homology for filtrations of simplicial complexes and filtrations of independence hypergraphs.

Abstract:The concept of integro-differential algebra has been introduced recently in the study of boundary problems of differential equations. We generalize this concept to that of integro-differential algebra with a weight, in analogy to the differential Rota-Baxter algebra. We construct free commutative integro-differential algebras with weight generated by a base differential algebra. This in particular gives an explicit construction of the integro-differential algebra on one generator. Properties of these free objects are studied.

Abstract:Differential operators and integral operators are linked together by the first fundamental theorem of calculus. Based on this principle, the notion of a differential Rota-Baxter algebra was proposed by Guo and Keigher from an algebraic abstraction point of view. Recently, the subject has attracted more attention since it is associated with many areas in mathematics, such as integro-differential algebras. This paper considers differential algebras, Rota-Baxter algebras and differential Rota-Baxter algebras in the quasi-idempotent operator context. We establish a Gröbner-Shirshov basis for free commutative quasi-idempotent differential algebras (resp. Rota-Baxter algebras, resp. differential Rota-Baxter algebras). This provides a linear basis of free object in each of the three corresponding categories by Composition-Diamond lemma.

Abstract:The $\lambda$-differential operators and modified $\lambda$-differential operators are generalizations of classical differential operators. This paper introduces the notions of $\lambda$-differential Poisson ($\lambda$-DP for short) algebras and modified $\lambda$-differential Poisson ($\lambda$-mDP for short) algebras as generalizations of differential Poisson algebras. The $\lambda$-DP algebra is proved to be closed under tensor product, and a $\lambda$-DP algebra structure is provided on the cohomology algebra of the $\lambda$-DP algebra. These conclusions are also applied to $\lambda$-mDP algebras and their modules. Finally, the universal enveloping algebras of $\lambda$-DP algebras are generalized by constructing a $\mathcal{P}$-triple. Three isomorphisms among opposite algebras, tensor algebras and the universal enveloping algebras of $\lambda$-DP algebras are obtained.

Abstract:A differential operator of weight $\lambda$ is the algebraic abstraction of the difference quotient $d_\lambda(f)(x):=\big(f(x+\lambda)-f(x)\big)/\lambda$, including both the derivation as $\lambda$ approaches to $0$ and the difference operator when $\lambda=1$. Correspondingly, differential algebra of weight $\lambda$ extends the well-established theories of differential algebra and difference algebra. In this paper, we initiate the study of differential operators with weights, in particular difference operators, on lattices. We show that differential operators of weight $-1$ on a lattice coincide with differential operators, while differential operators are special cases of difference operators. Distributivity of a lattice is characterized by the existence of certain difference operators. Furthermore, we characterize and enumerate difference operators on finite chains and finite quasi-antichains.

Xu constructed a certain nongraded generalization, which may not contain any toral Cartan subalgebra. Abstract:Braided differential operators ∂i are obtained by differentiating the addition law on the braided covector spaces introduced previously (such as the braided addition law on the quantum plane). These are affiliated to a Yang–Baxter matrix R. The quantum eigenfunctions expR(x‖v) of the ∂i (braided-plane waves) are introduced in the free case where the position components xi are totally noncommuting. A braided R-binomial theorem and a braided Taylor theorem expR(a‖∂)f(x)=f(a+x) are proven. These various results precisely generalize to a generic R-matrix (and hence to n dimensions) the well-known properties of the usual one-dimensional q-differential and q-exponential. As a related application, it is shown that the q-Heisenberg algebra px−qxp=1 is a braided semidirect product C[x]×C[ p] of the braided line acting on itself (a braided Weyl algebra) and similarly for its generalization to an arbitrary R- matrix.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a Gröbner-Shirshov basis of the free dendriform algebra as a quotient algebra of an $L$-algebra. As applications, we obtain a normal form of the free dendriform algebra. Moreover, Hilbert series and Gelfand-Kirillov dimension of finitely generated free dendriform algebras are obtained.

Abstract:This work is the first in a series of papers that, among other things, extends the formalism of diolic differential calculus, wherein a new context for obtaining differential calculus in vector bundles was established. Here we provide a modest but interesting generalization of this formalism to include a class of vector bundles with additional inner structure provided by fiber metrics that we call triole algebras. We discuss the basics of a triolic-linear algebra and study various functors of differential calculus over these algebraic objects. In doing so, we establish a conceptual framework for making sense of calculus on bundles that preserve a vector-valued fiber metric structure.

Abstract:A differential algebra with weight is an abstraction of both the derivation (weight zero) and the forward and backward difference operators (weight $\pm 1$). In 2010 Loday established the Koszul duality for the operad of differential algebras of weight zero. He did not treat the case of nonzero weight, noting that new techniques are needed since the operad is no longer quadratic. This paper continues Loday's work and establishes the Koszul duality in the case of nonzero weight. In the process, the minimal model and the Koszul dual homotopy cooperad of the operad governing differential algebras with weight are determined. As a consequence, a notion of homotopy differential algebras with weight is obtained and the deformation complex as well as its $L_\infty$-algebra structure for differential algebras with weight are deduced.
