Abstract:In this paper, we obtain a Lichnerowicz type formula for J-Witten deformation and give the proof of the Kastler-Kalau-Walze type theorems associated with J-Witten deformation on four-dimensional and six-dimensional almost product Riemannian spin manifold with (respectively without) boundary.

Abstract:In [21] and [22], we proved the Kastler-Kalau-Walze type theorem for the J-twist DJ of the Dirac operator on 3-dimensional, 4-dimensional and 6-dimensional almost product Riemannian spin manifold with boundary. In this paper, we generalize our previous conclusions and establish the proof of the general Kastler-Kalau-Walze type theorem for the J-twist DJ of the Dirac operator on even-dimensional almost product Riemannian spin manifold with boundary.

Abstract:We prove several formulas related to Hodge theory and the Kodaira–Spencer–Kuranishi deformation theory of Kähler manifolds. As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi–Yau manifolds and also a construction of global canonical family of holomorphic (n,0) -forms on the deformation spaces of Calabi–Yau manifolds. Similar constructions are also applied to the deformation spaces of compact Kähler manifolds.

Abstract:Under the announcement by Alain Connes that the Wodzicki residue of the inverse square of the Dirac operator is proportional to the Einstein–Hilbert action of general relativity, we derive the Lichnerowicz-type formula for the Witten deformation of the non-minimal de Rham–Hodge operator and the gravitational action in the case of n-dimensional compact manifolds without boundary. Finally, we present the proof of the Kastler–Kalau–Walze-type theorem for the Witten deformation of the non-minimal de Rham–Hodge operator on four- and six-dimensional oriented compact manifolds with boundary.

Abstract:In LM, we proved a family version of the famous Witten rigidity theorems and several family vanishing theorems for elliptic genera. In this paper, we gerenalize our theorems LM in two directions. First we establish a family rigidity theorem for the Dirac operator on loop space twisted by general positive energy loop group representations. Second we prove a family rigidity theorem for spin^c-manifolds. Several vanishing theorems on both cases are also obtained.

Abstract:We construct a generalized Witten genus for spin$^c$ manifolds, which takes values in level 1 modular forms with integral Fourier expansion on a class of spin$^c$ manifolds called string$^c$ manifolds. We also construct a mod 2 analogue of the Witten genus for $8k+2$ dimensional spin manifolds. The Landweber-Stong type vanishing theorems are proven for the generalized Witten genus and the mod 2 Witten genus on string$^c$ and string (generalized) complete intersections in (product of) complex projective spaces respectively.

Introduction.Let M, B be two compact smooth manifolds, and TT : M -» B be a smooth fibration with compact fibre X.Let TX be the relative tangent bundle.Assume that a compact Lie group G acts fiberwise on M, that is, the action preserves each fiber of TT.Let P be a family of G-equivariant elliptic operators along the fiber X.Then the family index of P, Ind(P), is a well-defined element in K(B) (cf.[AS]) and is a virtual G-representation (cf.[LiuMal]).We denote by (Ind(P)) G £ K(B) the G-invariant part of Ind(P).A family of elliptic operator P is said to be rigid on the equivariant Chern character level with respect to this G-action, if the equivariant Chern character ch 5 (Ind(P)) G H*(B) is independent of g G G. Abstract:We construct a global B-model for any quasi-homogeneous polynomial f that has properties similar to the properties of the physic's B-model on a Calabi-Yau manifold. The main ingredients in our construction are K. Saito's theory of primitive forms and Givental's higher genus reconstruction. More precisely, we consider the moduli space M-mar degrees of the so-called marginal deformations of f . For each point sigma is an element of M-mam degrees mar we introduce the notion of an opposite subspace in the twisted de Rham cohomology of the corresponding singularity f(sigma) and prove that opposite subspaces are in one-to-one correspondence with the splittings of the Hodge structure in the vanishing cohomology of f(sigma). Therefore, according to M. Saito, an opposite subspace gives rise to a semi-simple Frobenius structure on the space of miniversal deformations of f(sigma). Using Givental's higher genus reconstruction we define a total ancestor potential A(sigma) ((h) over bar, q) whose properties can be described quite elegantly in terms of the properties of the corresponding opposite subspace. For example, if the opposite subspace corresponds to the splitting of the Hodge structure given by complex conjugation, then the total ancestor potential is monodromy invariant and it satisfies the BCOV holomorphic anomaly equations. The coefficients of the total ancestor potential could be viewed as quasi-modular forms on M-Mar degrees in a certain generalized sense. As an application of our construction, we consider the case of a Fermat polynomial W that defines a Calabi-Yau hypersurface X-w in a weighted-projective space. We have constructed two opposite subspaces and proved that the corresponding total ancestor potentials can be identified with respectively the total ancestor potential of the orbifold quotient X-W/(G) over tilde (W) and the total ancestor potential of FJRW invariants corresponding to (W, G(W)). Here G(W) is the maximal group of diagonal symmetries of W and (G) over tilde (W) is a quotient of G(W) by the subgroup of those elements that act trivially on X-W. In particular, our result establishes the so-called Landau-Ginzburg/Calabi-Yau correspondence for the pair (W, G(W)).
Witten deformation for non-Morse functions and gluing formula for analytic torsions

Abstract:This paper concentrates on analyzing Witten deformation for a family of non-Morse functions parametrized by $T\in \mathbb{R}_+$, resulting in a novel, purely analytic proof of the gluing formula for analytic torsions in complete generality. Intriguingly, the gluing formula in this article could be reformulated as the Bismut-Zhang theorem for non-Morse functions, and from the perspective of Vishik's theory of moving boundary problems, the deformation parameter $T$ parametrizes a family of boundary conditions. Our proof also makes use of an interesting connection between small eigenvalues of Witten Laplacians and Mayer-Vietoris sequences. Finally, these new techniques could be extended to analytic torsion forms and will play key roles in our future study of the higher Cheeger-Müller theorem for general flat bundles.

Abstract:We construct a mod 2 analogue of the Witten genus for 8k+2 dimensional spin manifolds, as well as modular characteristic numbers for a class of spinc manifolds which we call stringc manifolds. When these spinc manifolds are actually spin, one recovers the original Witten genus on string manifolds. These genera vanish on string and stringc complete intersections respectively in complex projective spaces.

Abstract:The Kuranishi family of the Iwasawa manifold give rise naturally to a family of (deformed) double complexes. By using the structure theorem of double complexes due to Stelzig and Qi-Khovanov, we show there are exactly $3$ isomorphism types in this family and determine explicitly structures of these $3$ types. As an application, we computed the Frölicher spectral sequence for each fiber in the Kuranishi family of the Iwasawa manifold.
