Abstract:We exhibit a categorical equivalence between the class of odd or even involutive FL$_e$-chains and a class of direct systems of abelian $o$-groups. Restricting this equivalence only to odd or only to even involutive FL$_e$-chains or to further subclasses thereof (e.g., to Sugihara chains) yields further categorical equivalences.

Abstract:The representation theorem for odd or even involutive FLe-chains by bunches of layer groups, as discussed in [10], is redefined to demonstrate a more straightforward constructional relationship between odd or even involutive FLe-chains and bunches of layer groups, bypassing the intermediary stage of layer algebras. By leveraging this redefined theorem, it is demonstrated that both the variety of semilinear odd involutive FLe-algebras and its idempotent symmetric subvariety admits densification. Ultimately, employing the algebraic techniques introduced in [11], the proof of the strong standard completeness of Involutive Uninorm Logic with Fixed Point (IULfp) is established, thus strengthening the main result of [9].

Abstract:We provide an $(\infty,n)$-categorical version of the straightening-unstraightening construction, asserting an equivalence between the $(\infty,n)$-category of double $(\infty,n-1)$-right fibrations over an $(\infty,n)$-category $\mathcal{C}$ and that of the $(\infty,n)$-functors from $\mathcal{C}$ valued in $(\infty,n-1)$-categories. We realize this in the form of a Quillen equivalence between appropriate model structures; on the one hand, a model structure for double $(\infty,n-1)$-right fibrations over a generic precategory object $W$ in $(\infty,n-1)$-categories and, on the other hand, a model structure for $(\infty,n)$-functors from its homotopy coherent categorification $\mathfrak{C} W$ valued in $(\infty,n-1)$-categories.

Abstract:Using coinduction and restriction functors, we show that the category of simplicial $\Bbbk$-vector spaces and the category of $\Bbbk$-representations of a crossed simplicial group are equivalent after inverting homotopy equivalences. We do this by first showing that the homotopical version of the original Dold-Kan equivalence is implemented by an adjoint pair of coinduction and restriction functors after a suitable homotopy localization. Finally, we rewrite our equivalence for crossed simplicial objects as a model categorical equivalence.

Abstract:We show that diagrammatic sets, a topologically sound alternative to polygraphs and strict $\omega$-categories, admit an internal notion of equivalence in the sense of coinductive weak invertibility. We prove that equivalences have the expected properties: they include all degenerate cells, are closed under 2-out-of-3, and satisfy an appropriate version of the "division lemma", which ensures that enwrapping a diagram with equivalences at all sides is an invertible operation up to higher equivalence. On the way to this result, we develop methods, such as an algebraic calculus of natural equivalences, for handling the weak units and unitors which set this framework apart from strict $\omega$-categories.

Abstract:In this work, we introduce a 2-categorical variant of Lurie's relative nerve functor. We prove that it defines a right Quillen equivalence which, upon passage to $\infty$-categorical localizations, corresponds to Lurie's scaled unstraightening equivalence. In this $\infty$-bicategorical context, the relative 2-nerve provides a computationally tractable model for the Grothendieck construction which becomes equivalent, via an explicit comparison map, to Lurie's relative nerve when restricted to 1-categories.

Abstract:We show that every involutive Hopf monoid in a complete and finitely cocomplete symmetric monoidal category gives rise to invariants of oriented surfaces defined in terms of ribbon graphs. For every ribbon graph this yields an object in the category, defined up to isomorphism, that depends only on the homeomorphism class of the associated surface. This object is constructed via (co)equalisers and images and equipped with a mapping class group action. It can be viewed as a categorical generalisation of the ground state of Kitaev's quantum double model or of a representation variety for a surface. We apply the construction to group objects in cartesian monoidal categories, in particular to simplicial groups as group objects in SSet and to crossed modules as group objects in Cat. The former yields a simplicial set consisting of representation varieties, the latter a groupoid whose sets of objects and morphisms are obtained from representation varieties.

A Complete Invariant for Flow Equivalence

Abstract:Minimal flow spaces of dimension 1 are among the most fundamental limit sets in dynamical systems. Here we establish a complete invariant for the flow equivalence of such objects. The invariant takes values in a category of `positive trope' equivalence classes of inverse sequences of free groups and positive maps, or alternatively within a certain category of symbolic systems. Moreover, every such symbolic system is realised by a flow space, and we thus have a one to one correspondence between flow equivalence classes of minimal flow spaces and positive trope classes of such systems. At the same time, this provides a complete invariant both for flow equivalence of minimal Z-Cantor dynamical systems and for what we call the germinal equivalence of minimal Z-Cantor dynamical systems. Our work thus greatly extends that of Barge and Diamond on their complete invariant of primitive substitution tilings, and provides counterpoint to the work of Giordano, Putnam and Skau on orbit equivalence of Z-Cantor systems.

Representing Sugihara monoids via weakening relations

Abstract:We show that all Sugihara monoids can be represented as algebras of binary relations, with the monoid operation given by relational composition. Moreover, the binary relations are weakening relations. The first step is to obtain an explicit relational representation of all finite odd Sugihara chains. Our construction mimics that of Maddux (2010), where a relational representation of the finite even Sugihara chains is given. We define the class of representable Sugihara monoids as those which can be represented as reducts of distributive involutive FL-algebras of binary relations. We then show that the class of representable distributive involutive FL-algebras is closed under ultraproducts. This fact is used to demonstrate that the two infinite Sugihara monoids that generate the quasivariety are also representable. From this it follows that all Sugihara monoids are representable.

Abstract:The consistent systems of idempotents of Meyer and Solleveld allow to construct Serre subcategories of $Rep_R(G)$, the category of smooth representations of a $p$-adic group $G$ with coefficients in $R$. In particular, they were used to construct level 0 decompositions when $R=\overline{\mathbb{Z}}_{\ell}$, $\ell \neq p$, by Dat for $GL_n$ and the author for a more general group. Wang proved in the case of $GL_n$ that the subcategory associated with a system of idempotents is equivalent to a category of coefficient systems on the Bruhat-Tits building. This result was used by Dat to prove an equivalence between an arbitrary level zero block of $GL_n$ and a unipotent block of another group. In this paper, we generalize Wang's equivalence of category to a connected reductive group on a non-archimedean local field.

Abstract:We introduce and study relatively divisible and relatively flat objects in exact categories in the sense of Quillen. For every relative cotorsion pair $(\mathcal{A},\mathcal{B})$ in an exact category $\mathcal{C}$, $\mathcal{A}$ coincides with the class of relatively flat objects of $\mathcal{C}$ for some relative projectively generated exact structure, while $\mathcal{B}$ coincides with the class of relatively divisible objects of $\mathcal{C}$ for some relative injectively generated exact structure. We exhibit Galois connections between relative cotorsion pairs, relative projectively generated exact structures and relative injectively generated exact structures in additive categories. We establish closure properties and characterizations in terms of approximation theory.

Abstract:We introduce a category of Kuranishi presentations, whose objects are a variant of the Kuranishi structures introduced by Fukaya and Ono, and which can be seen as a refinement of the version studied by Pardon. We then formulate the notion of virtual chains categorically as a natural transformation between two functors from this category to the category of chain complexes; we call such a datum 'a theory of virtual counts'. To show that this definition carries non-trivial content, we then construct a multicategory whose objects are Kuranishi flow categories, and show that a theory of virtual counts determines a multifunctor to the multicategory of chain complexes. We then implement this construction in the setting of Hamiltonian Floer theory, borrowing from some joint work with Groman and Varolgunes, yielding a construction of Hamiltonian Floer groups (and operations on them) as an output of this machine. We plan to provide a similar account for Lagrangian Floer theory in subsequent joint work.

Abstract:We prove that the cyclic chain complex of the categorical coalgebra of singular chains on an arbitrary topological space $X$ is naturally quasi-isomorphic to the $S^1$-equivariant chains of the free loop space of $X$. This statement does not require any hypotheses on $X$ or on the commutative ring of coefficients. Along the way, we introduce a family of polytopes, coined as Goodwillie polytopes, that controls the combinatorics behind the relationship of the coHochschild complex of a categorical coalgebra and the Hochschild complex of its associated differential graded category.

Abstract:We construct an equivalence of graded Abelian categories from a category of representations of the quiver-Hecke algebra of type to the category of equivariant perverse coherent sheaves on the nilpotent cone of type A(1)((1)). We prove that this equivalence is weakly monoidal. This gives a representation-theoretic categorification of the preprojective K-theoretic Hall algebra considered by Schiffmann and Vasserot. Using this categorification, we compare the monoidal categorification of the quantum open unipotent cells of type A(1)((1) )given by Kang, Kashiwara, Kim, Oh and Park in terms of quiver-Hecke algebras with the one given by Cautis and Williams in terms of equivariant perverse coherent sheaves on the affine Grassmannians.

Abstract:We study geometric representation theory of Lie algebroids. A new equivalence relation for integrable Lie algebroids is introduced and investigated. It is shown that two equivalent Lie algebroids have equivalent categories of infinitesimal actions of Lie algebroids.
