Abstract:Fix $\lambda>0$. Consider the Bessel operator $\triangle_\lambda:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2\lambda}{x} \frac d{dx}$ on $\mathbb{R_+}$, where $\mathbb{R_+}:=(0,\infty)$ and $dm_\lambda:=x^{2\lambda}dx$ with $dx$ the Lebesgue measure. We provide a deeper study of the Bessel Riesz transform and fractional integral operator via the related Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces associated with $\triangle_\lambda$. Moreover, we investigate some possible characterization of the commutator of fractional integral operator, which was missing in the literature of the Bessel setting.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problems that this paper attempts to solve mainly focus on the properties of the commutators of the Riesz transform and the fractional integral operator related to the Bessel operator. Specifically, the authors explore the following aspects: 1. **The relationship between the Riesz transform and Besov spaces or Triebel - Lizorkin spaces**: - The authors hope to establish the connection between the commutators of the Riesz transform and Besov spaces or Triebel - Lizorkin spaces in the Bessel setting. This has been established by M. Paluszyński [29] in the Euclidean space, but the method relying on the Fourier transform is not applicable in the Bessel setting. 2. **Characterization of endpoint boundedness**: - The authors study the boundedness conditions of the commutators of the Riesz transform from the Bessel Hardy space to the \(L^1\) space and from the \(L^\infty\) space to the Bessel BMO space. Specifically, they hope to find the necessary and sufficient conditions for the symbol \(b\) such that the commutator \([b, R_{\Delta_\lambda}]\) is bounded between these spaces. This problem is more complicated in the Bessel setting than in the Euclidean space because the classical Fourier transform method is not available. 3. **The boundedness of the commutators of the fractional integral operator**: - The authors also explore the boundedness of the commutators \([b, \Delta_\lambda^{-\alpha/2}]\) of the fractional integral operator \(\Delta_\lambda^{-\alpha/2}\). Specifically, they hope to find the conditions for the symbol \(b\) such that the commutators are bounded from the \(L^p\) space to the \(\dot{F}_{\lambda, q}^{\beta, \infty}\) space. This problem is more difficult in the Bessel setting than in the Euclidean space because the internal structure of the Bessel Laplacian is different. ### Main results 1. **Characterization of Besov spaces**: - The authors characterize the Besov space \(\dot{B}_{\lambda, \infty}^{\beta, \infty}(R_+)\) through the commutators \([b, R_{\Delta_\lambda}]\) of the Riesz transform. Specifically, they prove that the following conditions are equivalent: - \(b\in\dot{B}_{\lambda, \infty}^{\beta, \infty}(R_+)\) - \([b, R_{\Delta_\lambda}]\) is bounded from \(L^p(R_+, dm_\lambda)\) to \(\dot{F}_{\lambda, p}^{\beta, \infty}(R_+)\). 2. **Characterization of endpoint boundedness**: - The authors give the equivalent conditions for the commutators \([b, R_{\Delta_\lambda}]\) of the Riesz transform to be bounded from \(L^\infty_c(R_+, dm_\lambda)\) to BMO\(_\lambda(R_+)\). Specifically, they prove that the following conditions are equivalent: - \([b, R_{\Delta_\lambda}]\) is bounded from \(L^\infty_c(R_+, dm_\lambda)\) to BMO\(_\lambda(R_+)\). - For all intervals \(I=(x_0 - r_0, x_0 + r_0)\), satisfying \(0 < 4r_0 < x_0\), there is...
